The venue was beautiful

The reception was a nightmare. Nothing seemed to have a plan even though our contract said there would be an event coordinator. As parents, we were the hosts but were marginalized the entire night. We were not introduced at any time. We were not notified when photographs were complete and that the wedding party was lined up and ready to enter the hall. As hosts, we should have been in this line up. There was no call for grace before the meal. We had someone lined up to give this prayer who finally came to the front after half the people had been served and were eating. There was no one going from table to table to release people to eat so it was entirely random. The food was terrible. I signed a contract for an Italian meal. This ended up being a mixed salad with two dressings served with dessert spoons rather than ladles. There were no add ins like croutons or cheese. There was not a separate salad plate. The meat was tough and the pastas were gummy with a white paste like topping which was tasteless. The line frequently ran out of food and so serving stopped. It was embarrassing. People asked my husband and I why we were near the end of the line as food was being served. We were the parents of the bride and paid for it all. We had no answer. I think they forgot about us or simply didn't care. We expected to be notified of all the events of the night as they were to occur. That did not happen. We had heard such wonderful things about Dominion house. Their building and grounds are beautiful. Their security was professional. Because of the lack of quality in the meal and the way we were treated, I cannot recommend them at all. We are shocked.

We had our wedding here in March. I cannot recommend this venue enough! It was absolutely beautiful! The food was fabulous and everything was so well planned out. Julie and David were extremely helpful in navigating all the ins and outs of having an almost perfect wedding (no wedding can go perfectly!). They were both so attentive to my husband and me the day of the wedding. I'm pretty particular about having things look a certain way, and Julie was really great about double checking to make sure everything was the way we wanted it. We have heard MULTIPLE times from many of our guests that this was the best wedding they've ever been to, and the food was absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for a dramatic, gorgeous venue where you'll receive everything you need, this is the place for you.

Julie and David with Dominion House are absolutely amazing! They walk you through everything and were always very quick to respond to phone calls and e-mails. The day of my wedding, 10-1-16, there was a threat of rain, Julie and her staff did everything possible to prep for the out door ceremony and keep things moving on time! Luckily we missed the rain and the ceremony was so beautiful. The reception went off with out a hitch and the food was SOOO good! Worth every penny!

The venue was beautiful and the staff was SO helpful!! It rained in the middle of our ceremony, but they quickly moved us indoors and it was a seamless transition! Julie was wonderful in helping us with everything we needed. They all made our day so special and I can't tell you how grateful we are for them!

This venue was absolutely perfect for our special day! They made the day run so smoothly. I had nothing to worry about because they were already 10 steps ahead of it! The venue was absolutely gorgeous and the dinner was excellent! The Dominion House made our big day better than we could have ever imagined! I would recommend them to anyone!

This place is hands down the epitome of class and elegance! I had my wedding here in January and they made all my dreams come true. Julie was such a pleasure to work with and made sure all the t's were crossed and the i's were dotted. I wouldn't have changed a thing about my wedding day. It was PERFECT! Thank you Julie and Dominion house staff! It was worth every penny!

The Dominion House is so beautiful! We had our outdoor wedding there; and the reception was in the grand ballroom. The aesthetic was perfect. The staff there are amazing! They made sure all our questions were answered long before our wedding day, kept in contact with us over several months before our wedding, and politely kept us on schedule on the big day. They were so kind and so professional; and we can't say enough great things about them. It was a truly perfect day in large part due to the wonderful staff there. All our guests loved it; and numerous of them said it was like a fairy tale.

The Dominion House really went above and beyond everything I asked for on our special day! The staff is so friendly and helpful, I was stress free the day of because they did everything for us and kept us on schedule!

The Dominion House has everything you need for your special day! From the linens to the DJ! Our wedding could not have been more perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make you as happy as they could and they did an amazing job! The food was delicious as well!

Overall, this was a good venue. The garden was beautiful. The ballroom was nice. The food was fabulous. The biggest issues were the time constraints. We only got into the venue 2 hours before the wedding. In those 2 hours, we had to decorate everything, get ready, and fit in pictures. It was super stressful and required a ton of organization and help. The ballroom was a tight fit and there are quite a few rules, so read the fine print. The staff was decent, but I sometimes felt like a number on the list of brides having their wedding there instead of an individual. I would recommend the venue, but would be sure to point out the flaws with it.

I cannot even begin to write how pleased we were with the Dominion House and their staff. Everything from the initial meeting until my parents walked out the door at the end of the reception was a pleasant experience. David and Julie were great to work with throughout the whole planning process. However, Robin and the rest of the staff for wedding were equally as great. We received numerous compliments on how well organized everything seemed to be and the vendors even went on and on about what an enjoyable evening it was. The food was excellent. Even almost a week after the wedding, we are still hearing how great the food was and how beautiful the presentation was. The staff members worked hard to keep all the tables cleaned and made sure that the drinks stayed full. The staff helped set up our decorations and helped load up everything at the end of the night. Every staff member was very professional and very courteous. David made sure to keep everything on track, even letting my mom know that it was time to stop visiting...HaHa! I can't say enough good things about our experience with the Dominion House and their staff. We could not have picked a more beautiful venue. No matter what the budget is, it is worth every single penny!

From day one of the planning process all the way through the clean-up after the wedding, the Dominion House staff provided top notch service! They made it such a pleasurable experience and took care of so many little details so that we could all focus on the moment itself! Their recently updated chandeliers and floral arrangements in the chapel where stunning, so you really don't even need to buy flower arrangements for the chapel service. Thanks again Dominion House!

My husband and I can't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else! The Dominion House offers incredible beauty complimented by exceptional service. The food was delicious and the decor was beautiful. They were also very responsive and accomodating!

We had an excellent experience having our wedding at the Dominion House in Guthrie. I would highly recommend it! The gardens and the ballroom are both so beautiful! The service was excellent and the food was wonderful! I've had a lot of people raving about the whole experience. It made for a dreamy wedding that we'll remember forever. The staff really has every aspect of event planning down pat! You can't go wrong with the Dominion house!!! :)

I could not have asked for a better venue for my reception! The beautiful grounds is what initially sold me! The Dominion House gave a classical-plantation feel to our reception. Beware of THEIR sound system...definitely get a DJ instead. My husband still raves about the dinner they served! Overall I could not have asked for anything better!

The Dominion House is absolutely gorgeous, and the grounds provide for a beautiful outdoor ceremony and amazing pictures. The ballroom is definitely grand and has plenty of space for a large reception while not feeling overly huge for smaller parties. Julie, the coordinator, was very helpful and never pushy! She made sure everything ran smoothly without me having to worry about a thing! Another pro for The Dominion House- they take care of the catering and table decorations. Of course it's built into your cost of the venue, but it's definitely great to not have to worry about handling outside caterers. The price is a bit on the higher end, but it's definitely worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime event!

The Dominion House did such an amazing job with our wedding!! We got married on April 20th so with the chance of rain always in April, it was amazing that they had a back up chapel indoors in case the garden got rained out. Also, Rachel is amazing. She took care of everything for me and made my wedding day completely stress free!! I would highly recommend them!!

My wedding was fabulous! They handled everything professionally and it was a great wedding venue. They are very friendly and are able to be contacted with any questions you may have. I am so thankful I got married there. Beautiful venue and nice to have the choice of both outdoor garden or indoor chapel. A+!

I had my reception at the Dominion House and I am so glad I did. Julie and her staff are wonderful to work with. They went above and beyond to make our dream come true. The food was excellent, the scenery is enchanting and the staff was so helpful. Anything you want to have on your menu they can and will make. We opted for the dessert buffet and it was a hit. The room looks beautiful and is so easy to decorate. There are so many photo opts and beautiful places. There is plenty of parking and it is free. It was a bit of a drive for our guests to get there but no one complained and everyone had a great time. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to any future bride.

We loved this location! They were so friendly and helpful! It was not very expensive for the rental itself, and keeping the "extras" to a minimum helped in keeping the cost down. It's a gorgeous location on it's own.

The Dominion House is a majestic setting for any wedding. You can choose an indoor or outdoor ceremony and the ballroom is an elegant place for your reception. The staff is friendly and the wedding coordinators are flexible and very professional- everything was well coordinated. The grounds are well kept and make for beautiful outdoor pictures. My only complaints were that our beverage napkins did not arrive with the symbols we ordered and our beer had not been properly chilled, but everything else was great :)

They told me I was an easy bride from the beginning. I had all of my items picked out before our first meeting. I knew that is where I was getting married! They answered all of my e-mails and calls right away, and any time I had a panic attack about something, they always knew how to fix it. The day of our wedding They had a whole team of people there to get us whatever we wanted or needed! They were set up to tell us when to walk and they even played my music for me! They brought us water while we were taking pictures so that we would not be too hot! They brought us our drinks at the reception, and they even packed 3 to go containers full of food, cake, and chocolate covered items! If something went wrong that night....I had no clue! I recommend them to EVERYONE!

Having the ceremony and reception at the Dominion House was one of the best decisions of our wedding. The wedding day was smoother than imagined, and we were all able to just enjoy the day with no stress. The food was great, and all setting up and clean up was taken care of by the staff.

The Dominion House did a great job with our wedding. I live out of town and only had to speak to Julie two or three times. Everything was so easy!

The Dominion House was nothing but wonderful to us. When we started planning our wedding we looked at many different places. The Dominion House is the one that really stood out. Their prices were a little higher that other in my area, but come to find out it was well worth the extra money. The quality of the service was amazing. They did want ever they could to make sure my big day was what I wanted. When the big day finally came, it was wonderful they helped me finish little stuff that needed to be done, and when we had a few snags in the beginning, they were there to iron it out. If the service does not convince you to get married there, the propriety should. It is so beautiful it is like a dream come true. Like a fairy tail. I will always remember and recomend The beautiful Dominion House in Guthrie, OK.
