Absolutely incredible! There aren't enough positive words to describe our experience with Rachel and The Martin Event Space. From our initial discussion, to the planning sessions, and finally culminating in our wedding at Rachel's beautiful venue, our experience was outstanding. Rachel has done an incredible transformation of the venue since she purchased it earlier this year and has created a wonderful space for events, especially weddings. Rachel made our decision for selecting her venue very easy and the wedding packages she has created for her space provide a unique offering and set The Martin Event Space apart from most venues in the area. Apart from the exceptional venue, we can describe Rachel as genuine, caring, engaged, detailed, passionate, and funny. She has created an amazing space and has hired an incredible staff that we cannot say enough good things about. THANK YOU to Rachel and the entire Martin Event Space staff for everything and providing us a beautiful venue and experience on our wedding day.

The Martin Event Space worked so well for our women's event! Because it is used primarily for a wedding venue the space was an absolutely beautiful setting. Sydney was great to work with and delivered on all the details we had set up for the evening. Only one small note is that for our event (110 guests driving separately), the parking lot was not big enough. Thankfully the night was such a success that this was only a minor issue. Our group would highly recommend The Martin!

We were blown away by the work Sidney did in preparation for our wedding, and the day of - breathtaking. Everything turned out 1000x better than I had hoped, her communication since day 1 was seamless, and she was always willing to work with us to ensure we had everything we needed and wanted. The bartenders were a blast, guests are still raving about their energy now a month later - we truly could not have asked for a better group of people to work with. I couldn't recommend them more - we had our reception here and all the food/drinks were done by the Martin, I have 0 complaints!

We had a reception here in August after a destination wedding away. What a great venue. The staff were so helpful, the venue was beautiful with very little addtional decorating. I loved the great off street parking for our guests and the patio area to expand our party. It was a fun night for all

I loved using the Martin for our reception venue. Sydney was quick to respond when I needed help or had questions on things and if I didn't have something, she showed me her closet of things to borrow. I loved the location of The Martin, the parking lot for those family members who drove, and the set up/tear down of the table and chairs. I also cannot rave enough about the bartenders that night. The amount of compliments I received about Sean, the head bartender, is in the thousands. The drinks were by far AMAZING!! I would highly recommend using The Martin for any big event, not just a wedding, because they have stellar customer service and they were affordable. Thank you Martin staff for being wonderful on my wedding day, you were the best choice!

Not only is the Event Manager- Kelly, a ROCKSTAR but also the staff that works the bar and kitchen/ service were incredible too!! Dinner was delicious; guests were beyond happy with their food and drink choices and loved the atmosphere. I felt at ease the whole time knowing that the Coordinator had everything under control and accommodated our every need and expectation. The best thing about booking an event here is that they provide food, drink and table/ linen service as well. I must say that this Event Space is perfect for any occasion and is a MUST SEE location. Thank you Martin City Event Space!!!!

Our wedding reception was absolutely amazing and Kelly and her team were a huge part of that. Ever since our initial meeting, Kelly was simply phenomenal. She answered all of our questions promptly and kindly and she made me and my (now) husband feel comfortable right from the start. She handled every detail involved with setting up the space, and even though I knew she would do an amazing job, I was still blown away when I saw everything put together. Another amazing thing that comes with The Martin is the food. Chef John was also incredibly easy to work with and he helped us make a menu that everyone loved! The Martin was absolutely beautiful and the space fit our 150 guests easily. If you're considering The Martin for your event, my sincere advice to you is to call Kelly today.

This venue is absolutely beautiful and not overly priced! Kelly was great to work with and they were open to working with us on everything we wanted. This venue also has a huge bar and 4 taps for beer which is nice. They also have a huge patio off the back so we were able to put some yard games out there!

Our wedding was perfect. The space was perfect. This staff is PERFECT!! Kelly and her team went above and beyond to help make our day run as smoothly as possible. They are easy to communicate with and so accommodating. When you book this space, you’re not going to feel like just another pay day...these people truly care about the role they play in your big day. I am overwhelmed with gratitude.
The pricing is fair and the humans are stellar....BOOK THE MARTIN!

Our wedding and reception at The Martin was so beautiful and such a perfect celebration for my son and daughter- in- law! Kelly was amazing to work with and kept saying " it will be perfect and so beautiful"... she was right! Thank you so much for all your help- if you book The Martin you will not be disappointed!

The facility itself was very nice. However, it was extremely difficult to get in touch with the coordinator, the phone was simply not answered on several occasions, our calls were at times not returned for several days (including the week of the reception) and more than once the voicemail box was full.
You are required to purchase the food form the venue. The bride and groom elected to have burgers and fries. We were OK with this because during the food tasting session all of the sample food was wonderful. The sample burgers were large, well seasoned and very tasty. The buns were like any gourmet burger from a nice restaurant and the fries were excellent. However, the burgers served for the reception were small, flat and floating in hot water - they resembled the budget, pre-made patties sold in volume from a local discount store AND the buns were the somewhat small regular packaged buns STILL IN THE PLASTIC BAG! We were extremely disappointed and actually embarrassed by the food that was served! There were other issues as well.

We had a great experience with The Martin. Kelly was so wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process! The space looked absolutely beautiful the day of the wedding and the food...was amazing! We had numerous people compliment the food, "that was the best food I have ever had at a wedding!!" for several days following the wedding.
We had about 150 or so guests and I would say that was probably the perfect amount for that space. We would highly recommend this space to anybody looking for a local, rustic, chic, appropriately priced space.

I scheduled a tour to view the event space and when my fiancé and I showed up, no one was there. I have emails to prove I scheduled (day and time). I called Kelly with no answer and she still has yet to get back to me. If they miss a tour what would they miss on the big day?? Hard no from me.

Your venue search is over! BOOK. THIS. PLACE. We booked The Martin for our wedding reception and we could not have been happier with our decision! We booked about a year in advance and worked with Brittaney to tour and reserve the space. Our main reasons for booking were because of their amazing craft beer selection and their beautiful rustic atmosphere, but other pros were an in-house kitchen, plenty of parking, and they were reasonably priced compared to similar venues in the downtown area. They also have a raised stage area which served perfectly as a large dance floor, as well as a pretty garden with a fire pit on the side of the venue. Our cook was also simply amazing. We had a hard time deciding which meals to go with because they were all delicious! In the middle of the planning process, we met with the new coordinator named Kelly and WOW. We cannot say enough good things about her!! From the moment we met, to the very end of our big day, she was so personable, helping everything go smoothly, answering questions with a smile, helping out our vendors, bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents.. and especially US! I was very picky in how I wanted the space and decorations set up (even sending her a floor plan and expansive list of how I wanted it), and she made sure it was done to a T. She ensured our time at The Martin was nothing less than perfect and we cannot thank her enough. We even received such a nice card and a bomber of my favorite Martin City beer from her at the end that was just the cherry on top of it all. Completely above and beyond. Can I give them 10/5 stars? I cannot recommend The Martin enough!

I cannot say enough great things about The Martin Event Space and the staff! The event space itself is beautiful and we loved the outdoor patio. Kelly provides the best customer service. She always gave us her full attention and was always prepared. In addition to this, the food was absolutely delicious (thanks Frank!). We received so many compliments from our guests on the venue, service, and food. My wife and I would highly recommend booking at The Martin Event Space!

We used The Martin Event Space for our wedding reception. We were extremely happy with our choice, as everything turned out to be beautiful. Leading up to the day, Brittaney was very easy to work with and was responsive to our questions. At times though, we had to follow up more than once or make corrections to some of our choices to ensure our final bill was accurate. For this reason, we didn't give 5 stars, but certainly feel it is a strong 4+ star venue. The best part about The Martin was the food. It was absolutely amazing! Kudos to the head chef!! If you have a reception for 150-160, we definitely recommend using The Martin. Any more than that and it may get a bit crowded. Overall, the venue was clean, the staff was solid, and the food was amazing.

I'm so happy I found the Martin Event Space on the Knot.com! I wanted somewhere not too expensive, but that included a lot of the necessities, and also had character. This was definitely that one stop shop! The event price included things like a speaker system, tables, chairs, and linens, etc. So I didn't have to worry about paying extra money, but also looking for someone to bring these things day of. The feel of the Martin Event Space is gorgeous, so you don't have to spend lots of $$ trying to decorate to make it look beautiful. Kara is great to work with, as is the rest of her team! She really tries to help you as much as possible, and make your wedding day stress free. And the food catered through them was AMAZING! The Chef was really conscious of any food restrictions or allergies I had, and was willing to make things off the original catering menu. I am still being told my wedding guests a month later about how amazing the food was. This is definitely the place to have your wedding! I had absolutely no stress from the Martin Event Space the day of my wedding!

So happy that we booked The Martin for our wedding reception! We are from KC but live in North Carolina right now, so I planned everything from far away and it could not have been easier. Kara is amazing and so great to work with! She was very quick to respond to all of my questions and was so accommodating throughout the whole process. First, when we were thinking about booking the venue, she met with my parents for a tour so they could FaceTime us so we could see the inside of the venue. [Yes, we fell in love and booked it after this without actually seeing it in person. It's a beautiful venue & we received so many compliments on it from our guests.] Then after we booked our date, she made it a priority to work around my schedule to meet with me for a tasting and planning meeting when I was only in town for a few days. [The food was delicious and we had a hard time deciding what to serve because it was all SO good.] Then to top it off, she made sure to check on us throughout the reception to make sure we were having fun and took time to eat [we only had appetizers & no set meal time so we really did have to make it a point to find a time to eat in between the dancing, talking to guests, etc.]. To add to all of this, it was so fun to be able to have their brewery beers on tap for our guests - such a unique touch offered at The Martin. The staff is also wonderful and even helped make sure our candy bar stayed stocked and that the cupcakes were out - these were things we brought in ourselves so we were planning on taking care of them, but Kara offered to help and it was so nice to not have to worry about! I won't ruin the surprise, but I will say that we also received a special gift from Kara & The Martin - another special touch! I could go on and on about all of the great things, but will let you see for yourself because I'm sure that you will love it just like we did!

From the beginning planning process to the final moments of the reception, Kara and staff were very accommodating. They made our day memorable and stress free. The food was great and catered to all or wants and needs. They were quick to respond if we had a question or request. The venue itself is beautiful. All our guests raved about their experience is here from the food, to the venue, to the staff. Highly recommend this place to anyone.
