Working with The Maxwell was the best experience during our wedding planning process! From the first venue tour we knew it was the perfect place for our celebration. Everyone on the staff is attentive, genuinely nice, and makes you feel welcome. Many of our guests that interacted with the staff commented on how nice and helpful everyone was. Every time we attended a showcase before our wedding, they warmly greeted us and asked how the planning process was going. Then once we got closer to the big day, Maddie was so responsive to any questions we had, and she helped us finalize details so that we had confidence that everything was in order. The venue itself is gorgeous – the photos online don’t do it justice! There are so many spaces for all our guests to enjoy dancing, lounging, or taking in some air on the patio/lawn. The Maxwell’s space provided us with the flexibility to add in so many design elements to achieve the look and feel we wanted for our wedding. If you are in the process of deciding on a venue for your wedding/event, you will not be disappointed with The Maxwell. They were the best decision we made!

The Maxwell is the absolute best wedding venue! My husband and I looked at quite a few wedding venues before choosing The Maxwell. We loved the venue from the moment we saw it and couldn’t be more happy with our choice. We loved how the venue had everything we needed in one area. It has the perfect outdoor setting, a great room for cocktail hour, and the best reception room. The women who work at The Maxwell were also why we chose this venue. They are amazing and were always available to answer any questions! We wish we would relive our wedding day there every weekend!

If you’re looking for the perfect wedding venue, look no further! Not only does The Maxwell have the perfect space, they also have the best staff! From the moment we toured, we felt like we were part of The Maxwell family. Regarding the physical space- it was perfect for what we were looking for! We wanted an indoor ceremony, indoor/outdoor cocktail hour in a different location from the ceremony and then an indoor reception and The Maxwell provided just that. The space itself is modern, simple, and elegant and leaves so much room to customize to make it your own. As for the staff, our whole goal for hiring vendors was to hire the “A” team. We wanted vendors that once we hired, we knew they would be top-tier and The Maxwell staff is the best in the business! From the enjoyable showcases where we got to have a fun date-night and envision possibilities with catering, florals, and more to just the everyday planning of our wedding, everyone was patient, efficient, and helpful. Chelsea, Tova, Maddie, and Alex all worked extremely hard to make our wedding day nothing short of perfect. We opted for the in-house day-of/month-of coordination and were so glad that we did. We thought who better to help us with everything than someone who works there- that’s where Alex came in! She was a great leader for our day-of and helped get all of our little details organized months ahead of time. Some other highlights include the great bar staff that made sure our 160+ guests were never waiting in line for a drink- we just don’t know how they do it! We could go on and on about everything but in simple terms, our wedding day was perfect and it could not have been without The Maxwell!

From the moment we booked our date to the last dance of the evening, we felt truly supported and cherished by everyone at the venue. Our wedding day was an absolute dream come true, thanks to The Maxwell and its extraordinary team. The Maxwell is such a beautiful venue! We hosted our pre-wedding event there, and the team helped us execute such an incredible evening! There was not a single moment where we felt worried or concerned with how their services were going, thanks to their wonderful team! We had an absolute blast kicking off our pre-wedding event at The Maxwell, and we couldn't have imagined a better way to celebrate. Some points below that we felt were worth pointing out: - The guests were very impressed by the bar services and how kind the bartenders were! - The venue is so beautiful that we didn't require much decor. We and the guests had so much fun partying it up at The Maxwell before the wedding the next day. The venue and your staff were such a large part of our overall wedding experience, they did a great job helping us bring our vision to life from start to finish and made the night beyond perfect for us!

Everyone at The Maxwell has been such a joy to work with over the past year. From Maddie, to Rachel, to Tova on our wedding day, everyone has been so quick to answer our many questions and do so in such a friendly manner. We knew even before we were engaged that we wanted to get married at The Maxwell, and we couldn’t have imagined our wedding day being anywhere else. The great room and patio are gorgeous, and the bridal suite was so lovely and comfortable to get ready in. The Maxwell truly goes above and beyond for their couples and is as accommodating as they possibly can be. Something we’d suggest you keep in mind is that on their pricing guide sheet for wedding vendors, the average prices don’t include service charges, so you may want to double rentals and catering costs if you use their pricing handout as a guide when budgeting. Additionally, the venue has some pretty strict ABC laws, so be sure to ask all the bar package questions up front. Overall, The Maxwell was the perfect wedding venue for us and we can’t thank everyone enough who helped to execute our wedding day!

We absolutely loved The Maxwell! Not only is this venue beautiful, the team here is so easy to work with. The forecast for our wedding day was touch and go but the team was able to have both our rain plan and outdoor plan ready to go (luckily we were able to have the wedding outside as planned). The bar staff provided by the venue was also amazing. One of the things I loved about the venue were the showcase events so we could meet vendors and see The Maxwell decorated. Cannot say enough good things about this venue!!

We had the most amazing wedding day and experience with The Maxwell. The employees are all so friendly and accommodating. From our initial viewing of the venue I could tell they were super organized. On our wedding day there were scattered storms forecasted all day but I really wanted an outdoor ceremony. They worked with me to set up the ceremony both outdoors and indoors so that I didn’t have to make an abrupt decision early in the day regarding the rain plan. The weather ended up cooperating for the hour it needed to for us to have our ceremony outside. Dreams do come true and The Maxwell is here to see to it! My wife and I would recommend the maxwell to anyone looking for a wedding venue. From day one until our wedding day they were easy to work with. The were always available to answer our questions and ease our mind. The day of our wedding they always asked “what can I do to help”. We are so happy we picked them for our wedding. We can’t say enough great things about our experience with The Maxwell. The team was so helpful to work with and the venue is absolutely gorgeous! It’s great to have a blank slate to decorate as you wish or have a simple wedding like we did!

We had our wedding at the Maxwell with Tova as our coordinator and it was the best choice we could have made for our wedding. Everyone said that wedding planning is stressful, but with Tova by our side, my partner and I enjoyed the entire planning process. Everyone we interacted with on the day of our wedding was absolutely lovely and so fun and made our day even more special. In addition to the wonderful team at the Maxwell, the venue is absolutely beautiful (the pictures speak for themselves!). The Maxwell is truly a canvas you can make your own and we were so impressed with its ability to transform into the vision we wanted (we were even able to have our dog included in the ceremony, which meant the world to us!). Everything about the day and the planning process was perfect and would highly recommend having your special day here and highly recommend Tova as your coordinator! Truly one of the best experiences my partner and I had and it was all thanks to Tova, the lovely Maxwell Team, and the beautiful venue!

We got married at The Maxwell last week and we could not recommend the venue more! From the beginning, the staff was wonderful to work with. I had multiple questions throughout the process and they always worked with us for a solution. Sometimes you fear always hearing "no" to ideas but that was not the case. The venue itself is beautiful and we were able to make it our own. We got so many compliments on the space and were glad to be able to do everything (ceremony + reception) in one spot. Overall, I highly recommend checking out the maxwell!

Choosing the Maxwell as a wedding venue is a no-brainer! I hosted my April Fools Day wedding at this venue and we are still getting compliments to this day. The staff are very friendly and helpful leading up to the big day. It is conveniently located near downtown Raleigh without feeling like you are in the hustle and bustle of downtown. They host plenty of events to show you what the venue looks like when it comes to life with discounted tickets for their couples. It is a blank canvas for you to decorate any way you see fit. And the landscape/architecture is absolutely gorgeous to capture in any season. We LOVED hosting our wedding here and cannot recommend it enough!

The Maxwell was a stunning venue to get married at! We got married in front of the beautiful fireplace, but we could have been married in the pretty grass area. All options are awesome! The whole team was great, and timely with their responses. It’s only 10 minutes outside of downtown too. All around we had a fabulous experience!

We LOVED our wedding at The Maxwell! The venue is stunning and a beautiful blank canvas for whatever your wedding vision might be. All of the staff was professional and so wonderful to work with, they made the day run smoothly and there were no issues throughout the day that I needed to be made aware of. We are so so pleased that we decided to book The Maxwell. Many of our guests commented about how lovely and clean the venue is and I love the modern aesthetic. Also, the outside green space and white brick make for gorgeous photo backdrops! We can’t wait to get our pictures back and I will share some here when we do!

Paul and I signed on to the Maxwell before they even had windows. We saw the vision, met the staff and just knew it was the place for us. And boy were we right! The team was 5 star, from start to finish. They were beyond accommodating, kind, and overall just efficient in everything they did. We would gladly recommend them to anyone who wants a beautiful, stress free wedding.

The Maxwell was absolutely perfect for our of 75. It is a beautifully simple, yet very sophisticated space that allows you to create any vision of a fairytale. Our guests were all from out of state and we needed a venue with easy access to downtown Raleigh. Our guests were very appreciative of the short shuttle ride and the fact that the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all took place at the same location. The staff at the Maxwell were top notch. Not only was everyone so helpful, they were accommodating and flexible to ensure our vision came to life. We did a few “out of the norm” things, and they were more than willing to make all our wishes come true.

Wow! My husband and I had our wedding at the Maxwell during Veteran's Day weekend 2022 and all of our guests LOVED it! We chose this venue for several reasons 1) We had a ton of out of town guests flying in to Raleigh Airport 2) It is close to downtown, with all of downtown's accessibility/night life, BUT far enough away to have ample parking for guests and privacy from the hustle and bustle of the city 3) IT'S STUNNING and offers a blank slate for decorations/personal touches and lastly, 4) ALL of our other vendors were super excited that we were having our wedding at the Maxwell because it has everything they needed to do their job. We were so blessed to have the Maxwell's team working with us every step of the way to curate our special day with our wedding planner, and if given the option again, would still choose The Maxwell! Thank you all!

We LOVE The Maxwell. We have done numerous weddings there and the staff and venue are so wonderful to work with. They work as a Team to make sure your day follows smoothly and always with a smile on their faces. The venue is gorgeous from the Bridal Suite to Ceremony on the Lawn to Cocktails at the Bar, it will be a day to remember with a wonderful team along the way.

There were some planning hiccups, but overall the staff was nice accommodating. There were issues with the bartenders only serving one drink at a time to some people, but letting other people grab drinks for other people at their table. Security was overly aggressive and rude.

We were so pleased with our experience at the Maxwell! Chelsea, Kathryn and their team are so efficient and our big day went off without a hitch. They were also very personable during the planning process and responsive to all my questions. They could not have been more accommodating with our preferences for room setup and cocktails! The space itself is also stunning and the perfect blank space to make your vision come to life. Parking is ample and bridal suite is perfect for getting ready with your girls—the Maxwell has every convenience! Everyone raved that it was so beautiful and one of the best weddings they had ever attended.

The Maxwell is an absolutely stunning venue that is perfect as is, but also really lends itself to whatever vision you may have for your wedding! The second we walked into the Maxwell (after visiting several other venues in the area), we knew it was the one. The beautiful fireplace, beautiful herringbone wall, chandeliers...the details in this space are so beautiful! And to add to an already amazing space, the staff is extremely organized, helpful, and friendly! They had so many recommendations for vendors, as well as options to really customize our day to make it feel unique to us. We had the absolute best day and The Maxwell, and the team that works there, played such a huge role in making that happen for us!

Our wedding at The Maxwell was perfect! My fiance and I toured the venue back in March of 2021 and immediately knew it was the place for us. There was so much detail put into the planning, building, lighting, and landscaping of this venue and we were so excited to book it for our 2022 weeding. Everyone was so helpful during the entire planning process and made sure we were always taken care off. Their vendor list is great and we got so many compliments on every aspect of our wedding due to the thoughtful planning and organization that the staff had put together. Our vision and reception came together perfectly and from the time the bridesmaids got there to get ready in the morning, we were taken care of! I had my wedding at the Maxwell last month, and it was great! I had people tell me all night how seamless everything was and how great the staff were. People also mentioned never having to wait for a drink. The location is also really pretty with so much greenery surrounding the patio. Everyone on the Maxwell team was great and really helpful through the wedding planning process answering all of my questions!

We are so happy we chose the Maxwell to celebrate our wedding! From the start the Maxwell team was easy to work with and we could tell every aspect of the experience was carefully thought out to make our day amazing! The space was perfect for our 150 person wedding. We had cocktail hour outside & inside and our dinner in the main room. It was great that we didnt have to worry about the rain - as our group could fit inside! Also - there is plenty of on site parking and bathrooms - all the while being a short drive from downtown.

The white finish is elegant. The bridal suite is perfect to get ready in. It was a seamless one stop shop. Their vendor recommendations are easy to work with and honestly made planning super easy. From start to finish, our experience with The Maxwell was amazing! From kind staff who answered all of our questions and concerns to the way everything flowed so smoothly. The venue is stunning and really gave an open canvas to create our own vision. We are very family oriented so it was nice to be near the city but in our own area to create that intimacy. The list of vendors helped narrow down our choices which was helpful. We even had compliments from the guests on how amazing the place was. We appreciated everything The Maxwell (Chelsea and team) did for us! It was the most amazing day!

From start to finish, working with The Maxwell was an absolute dream. We booked our wedding when the venue was still under construction and each time we toured the space as everything came together, Chelsea's thoughtfulness and clear attention to detail in the design gave us confidence that she would bring the same energy to our wedding day. Sure enough, Chelsea and Victoria went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we desired, regularly checking in with us throughout planning and being incredibly responsive to allll my questions. We even had to reschedule 48 hours before our original date (thanks, COVID) and within a few hours of finding out, they turned around a rebooking for a new date. And that's on top of the GORGEOUSNESS that is The Maxwell - we were sold by the fireplace and the warmth of their lighting combined with the stone and white walls just cannot be beat. Our classic, romantic vision was perfectly executed in this space and the bridal suite made me feel like an actual princess - it also provided a perfect hangout space for us and our families before the ceremony started, which led to some of my favorite photos of the day. We are so appreciative to Chelsea, Victoria, and the whole team and cannot say enough positive things about holding our wedding at The Maxwell!

I absolutely love The Maxwell: the venue itself and their whole team. The venue is stunning; light, bright, and room to make it your own! I also love all of the details; the wooden accent on the lounge wall, the fireplace, the unique chandeliers, the string lights outside. The venue is so beautiful and I couldn’t have imagined my wedding at a different place. The Maxwell team was SO incredible with communication. They were quick to answer any and every question I had along the way! They made me feel so comfortable going into my wedding day. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!

My husband and I got married at The Maxwell in December 2021 and from start to finish, the entire experience could not have been more perfect! We toured the venue as construction was wrapping up in February 2021 but Chelsea was able to help us visualize exactly how beautiful it would be -- and we were not disappointed! Victoria, the venue manager, was responsive, professional, and she and the entire staff helped ensure that our day (and all the coordination leading up to it) went off without a hitch. All of our friends and family raved about how beautiful it was and we could not have been happier!

We had our ceremony and wedding reception at The Maxwell on 12/31/21. The Maxwell was the perfect venue – we booked it before construction was even completed based on how confident we felt about Chelsea and her team. The space itself is perfect for adding modern, minimalist décor or going all out and really customizing, we loved the chandeliers, fire place, oak accent wall and the other small, thoughtful touches. The outdoor space is also fantastic for photos, outdoor cocktail hour and for guests that want to step outside. In terms of value, we feel like we got A LOT included in the rental fee, and you can’t put a price on how awesome the team there is. Each person that we worked with – Chelsea, Victoria, Tova and the bar staff were very kind, helpful and responsive. Day of, we felt like everything was totally covered and we didn’t have to worry about anything. We especially appreciated the time Victoria spent working with us on the perfect bar package and signature cocktails. Overall, recommend this beautiful venue and excellent team.

The Maxwell was a dream come true. From the start of our relationship, Chelsea and her growing team were so helpful and very quick to respond to our many questions during the wedding planning process. The venue speaks for itself in it's beauty from the whitewashed brick, grand fireplace, and amazing lawn and greenery. Everything about our wedding day went perfectly and as the bride, I felt at ease and excited the entire day. I trusted the staff 100% to treat our guests with kindness and working with our amazing vendor team (that they recommended) they put on the best day possible. If I had to do it all over, I would choose them, no questions!

I was a bit worried about booking a wedding venue that was still under construction (this was in January) but i'm so glad we did. The Maxwell is an absolutely gorgeous space with plenty of parking and the rare ability to take on the style of whatever the couple wants. Everything is very neutral (lots of whites and creams) which means you're able to add pops of your favorite colors in the form of florals or decor. We chose emerald green and champagne with wood accents and it looked absolutely perfect in the space. I also appreciate the well manicured outdoor space which gave us additional options for ceremony location and cocktail hour. Finally the bridal suite was perfection, offering everything we needed to get ready (along with a few helpful items that we didn't even think of!). If I had one critique I do wish the bridal suite was facing the back of the property rather than the front, unfortunately while guests were parking we had to close the beautiful window curtains so they wouldn't see us early! Beside the property what sets the Maxwell apart is the staff. The entire team was so helpful from initial tour to the big day itself. Any questions were promptly addressed and their team worked seamlessly with our other vendors to make sure the night went off without a hitch. I'm so grateful for how professionally everything was handled to make our day perfect.

The Maxwell is a fantastic wedding venue! Chelsea did an amazing job designing the space to fit any couple's vision of their big day! The entire team was so responsive throughout the wedding planning process (especially Victoria) and went above and beyond to help make our day perfect. We got married in October 2021. There were scattered thunderstorms throughout the entire day and during our planned outdoor ceremony time (5pm). My guests began arriving around 4:15pm but could not sit outside yet do to the weather. The Maxwell staff was quick to keep our guests entertained by serving drinks until they could be seated - it was an approximate hour wait for them to be seated. Throughout the entire day, a Maxwell representative stopped in the bridal suite to ensure we had everything we needed. I cannot recommend them enough!!

Victoria, Chelsea, and the entire Maxwell team are fantastic. I had my wedding here in October 2021. We had a guest count of around 300 people and the Maxwell worked closely with my planning team at Magnolia Collective to ensure that the evening went off without a hitch. I also love the classic aesthetics of the building which allowed us to create the exact look we wanted. The bridal suite is beautiful as well.

My husband and I just had our dream wedding at the Maxwell in October 2021. It’s beautiful white washed brick and elegant design allowed us to not have to overly decorate; the place is perfect on its own. The outdoor patio area allowed for us to have cornhole and an outdoor area for mingling. Took our first look photos outside as well as by the fireplace. My girls enjoyed the getting ready area as we took the full time allotted from 11am until the ceremony start time to get ready and hang out in there. Had enough space in the Lounge area to have a photo booth between the two doors leading to the outside patio area. They have a preferred list of vendors you must use which cut the need to research hundreds of catering of rental or day of coordinators. We highly recommend Under the Oak for catering and Jaclyn from Timeless Love Weddings from their list. We got so many complements on both of their work. In all, beautiful location, great team, and an all around amazing experience with The Maxwell. Could not have imagined a more perfect day.

Such a beautiful venue! When we went to see the venue and possibly book it the foundation hadn’t been laid yet. After seeing photos and meeting Chelsea we knew her and her team could deliver an amazing place and vibe. It didn’t take us long to decide to go with The Maxwell and boy are we glad we did. The Maxwell exceeded our expectations and is absolutely stunning! So many places for photo opportunities. They have a wonderful welcome packet to help you get started with vendor hunting. The layout is great and can work with any vision you have for your day. We highly recommend The Maxwell because it’s an incredible place and awesome team!

The Maxwell was the BEST!! We booked this venue before it was even built. We put our full trust in Chelsea and her team and they did not let us down! They were so incredibly flexible with us! We had to change our ceremony location several times with COVID and even considered doing it onsite at the Maxwell which would have involved a massive flip but they were willing to do it! Victoria and Chelsea were extremely quick in email responses. They made sure I had everything I needed on the day of. They even gave us a 1 year anniversary gift to open a year later. I would recommend the Maxwell to anyone!!

We fell in love with this venue while it was still in the building process. We loved the flexibility of being able to have a wedding experience be inside and outside. Chelsea was amazing through the wedding process and what to expect. We could not have asked for a more perfect spot to get married! We loved our experience and highly recommend that everyone check out this venue.

The Perfect Place to get Married The Maxwell is truly the perfect place to get married to the love of your life. The space is gorgeous on its own but was designed in a way that you can transform it into any wedding fantasy you’ve ever had. There’s indoor and space so a ton of flexibility around how to set it all up. Chelsea, one of the owners, and her team are unmatched! They have thought of everything and made it so easy to sit back and enjoy your wedding and guests! The venue rental includes a stocked bar and bartenders, pouring of your champagne/cider for toasts, high top/bistro tables, guest 60in rounds, 8ft tables AND the gorgeous chairs. You only have to rent the linens and you already have everything you need! The staff is so friendly so sweet and extremely accommodating! Victoria the manager is organized and thorough and handles the day of logistics. When she was reviewing our final rental order she noticed that we were renting items she was able to provide and saved us some money! Small example but it went a long way with my husband and I that she carded enough to check through that. Cannot thank the Maxwell enough for everything they did to ensure we had the most beautiful and perfect day

Chelsea and her team at the Maxwell were absolutely terrific for our big day. We had a multi-day traditional Indian wedding at the Maxwell and it was the perfect modern, clean backdrop to compliment the decor we had. Our guests loved the indoor-outdoor options for our events. Her staff was extremely helpful throughout the event and it was truly a seamless operation without any stress. We especially loved that the vendor spaces were separated along with the GORGEOUS bridal suite which served as the central focus of many photoshoots. Overall, would 100% highly recommend this new, beautiful, and functional space for future couples!

The Maxwell Ralleigh is a gorgeous wedding venue near downtown Raleigh. I love their timeless setting combining modern elegance and classic luxury. There are so much you can do in this beautiful space. The fireplace is a showstopper!! I am beyond excited to see what couples will create to make their wedding unique and unforgettable, and of course I cannot wait to photograph it all. Chelsea one of the owners is very professional, kind and a pleasure to work with. Couples will have the best team to assist them in such a special time of their lives.

This venue is the perfect wedding venue for my fiance and I, we absolutely fell in love with it from the second we saw it! The light color pallet mixed with a southern but modern vibe was so unlike any other venue we have looked at in the area. We booked it immediately! The indoor/outdoor floor plan is the exact flow we imagine for our guests with ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in different locations creating the perfect night and experience.
