What a beautiful venue for our spring wedding and reception! The event space is absolutely stunning, and the staff was exceptionally hospitable and accommodating to my husband and I, our guests, and our vendors. Arena Stage offers contemporary event space located in the southwest waterfront area of Washington, D.C., a perfect location and venue for a wondrous, magical, memorable wedding and reception. I would wholeheartedly endorse and enthusiastically recommend Arena Stage for hosting your special events.
We had a FANTASTIC experience working with the events team at Arena stage and holding our reception at the Molly Smith Study. What a stunning space! The Study doesn't even require any decoration, just some uplighting that the DJ arranged for.The staff is laid back, kept track of every detail, always made sure that we felt comfortable with the decisions being made, and made very knowledgeable vendor recommendations. If you are willing to be a little flexible around their theater schedule, there is no better space in DC.
If you are looking for a unique, all in one wedding venue, the Arena Stage is a hidden gem. With expansive floor to ceiling windows, beautiful views of the Wharf and Washington Monument, what this venue shows in beauty it also brings with service and professionalism from the event staff. Wonderful experience and guests loved the different venue. If country clubs and ballrooms are not for you, this is your place.
We just had our wedding here and I cannot rave enough about it. We were looking for a space that would be elegant without feeling overly stuffy or formal, and man did this fit the bill. Huge glass walls, sweeping views, clean and modern lines - it's just a totally unique space. And colorful! We had burgundy bridesmaid dresses with yellow and orange flowers, bright yellow and green linens, and yellow centerpieces and they all looked just fabulous against the carpeting. It was all the grandeur and elegance we wanted while still allowing us to have a comfortable, personal, intimate and super relaxed and fun event. All the guests went on and on about what a fabulous venue it was.
But even the amazing space wouldn't have driven me to write this review. It's really the staff that I cannot stop talking about. The event staff that I worked with - Danielle, Shaun, and Reggie - were some of the most helpful that I dealt with in all of my wedding planning. They figured out a way to make everything we asked for work. We never heard "no," always what is it you want and how can we make it happen. They were extraordinarily pleasant to work with and went the extra mile for our convenience. In addition, Kirstin and Greta in their media department were super friendly and accommodating, which just rounded out our overall impression of the staff as just a total pleasure to work with.
This place is pricey, but you know it's going to a fantastic nonprofit and to support the arts. You will not find this grand and unique a space anywhere else, and I am sure you won't find any staff more personable and helpful. I would give them six stars if I could!!!
