The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve is a 150 acre wedding, elopement, and event venue in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina. Blending southern elegance, rolling meadows, and mature forests, the space is suited for couples telling their adventurous, timeless, and free-spirited love stories! Nestled in dense pines, Heron Hall is a seamless experience of indoor and alfresco spaces for grand affairs or intimate celebrations; the venue offers quietude and retreat for gatherings of every size!

Facilities And Capacity
The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve can accommodate a maximum capacity of 300 guests. Heron Hall is a seamless combination of both indoors and outdoors, perfect for a wedding reception. The venue has preserved the property’s history, and restored Heron Hall from the farm’s original warehouse and grain silo. The amazing oversize glass roll-up doors are ideal for gazing out over the 115 acre prairie preserve. Take pictures under the green roof trellis or on the inner courtyard. Guests will enjoy the evening under lofted ceilings or a covered arbor. Heron Hall can seat 250 guest inside or up to 300 when including the 4 seasons covered patio which comes equipped with electric heaters and fans. The Aerie House is where the bride and the bridal party will prepare before you say “I do.” The Aerie House holds an open hearth, Venetian style glass chandeliers, kitchen, living-dining rooms, and a bridal suite fit for a queen. The Roost is where the groom will get ready. It’s a ranch style retreat with two bedrooms, guest room, dressing room, kitchen, fireplace, flat screens, bar, poker, ping pong, and a dedicated beer fridge.

The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve is happy to host bridal showers, engagement parties, elopements, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions. Wedding packages include a venue representative, reclaimed furniture, tables, and chairs. This venue requires pre-approval of vendors. Weekend weddings include rehearsal dinner space, early arrival, late checkout, lodging for 18+, lodging for traveling family, picnics and brunches, and additional time for deliveries and photography sessions.

in love with the beautiful landscape, separate houses for getting ready, 5 ceremony sites to choose from, and the open reception area. We picked the highest wedding planning package and worked with Lindsay, who became a very good friend, cheerleader, and negotiator over the next year and a half.
When I tell you I didn't stress about ONE thing during the planning process, I mean it. Lindsay was absolutely amazing. Not only is she super talented at her job, but she is also so funny and sweet. I owe a lot of my calmness and carefree joy throughout the process and on wedding day to her. All the staff we encountered were fantastic, and while the venue itself lends to a beautiful day, the vendor team Lindsay helped us select took it all to the next level. Our guests are still raving about the venue and how seamless and beautiful the whole day was.
I'm still on cloud 9 and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. No notes, absolutely perfect. The best experience I could have imagined.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! This venue is amazingly beautiful and the team is fantastic! Nicole was our wedding coordinator, and things could not have gone smoother....
She was on top of everything from the moment we toured the place two years ago. We are so lucky to have found her. Lindsey also assisted during the big day and we never had to think about a single thing. They kept us on time, and made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be. Nicole is an absolute QUEEN! We had the most magical day and it is all thanks to them. (I could keep going with more nice things to say honestly). HIGHLY RECOMMEND this venue!!

venue without seeing it in person and relied on virtual tours from the venue manager. We saw the venue for the first time about five days out from our wedding and thought it was gorgeous. There are five different outdoor areas to have a ceremony. We settled on The Lawn because the location was close to Heron Hall, where our family would gather after the ceremony. The venue manager was a pleasure to work with. She provided great feedback to all our questions in a timely manner. She was also on hand for several site visits, our wedding rehearsal and ceremony. They had all the furniture we needed, provided plenty of lawn games, and we didn’t have to do much extra to decorate. They even built a grate to go over their fire pit just so we could have s’mores cones. The entire venue is gorgeous, spacious, and full of so many unique and darling details. My only regret is that we didn’t rent it for the whole weekend!

the venue itself. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and the buildings have been newly constructed, so everything is nice and new, yet doesn't look out of place with the natural surroundings. We didn't have one complaint with the venue. It was very private, naturally beautiful, and felt special (even starting at the long driveway bringing you into the grounds). The staff was so great to work with and truly cared about our experience. I love how the venue allowed us to use the houses the day of the wedding. It was so nice to get to the venue early and not have to worry about getting ready somewhere else and then having to travel to the venue. Aerie House was gorgeous and the natural light was great for getting-ready photos. The guys really enjoyed The Roost as well. We are so grateful to everyone at The Meadows for making our wedding such a beautiful day!!

The bride and groom’s houses are spectacularly furnished, the event areas are beyond gorgeous, and the Meadow's staff was in constant communication to ensure no stone was unturned during the planning stages. to be married at The Meadows. We were engaged on September 15th and decided to have the wedding on December 2nd. That gave us a total of 11 weeks to prepare for a wedding! We had no venue picked out, and had not even heard of The Meadows. On our first visit we met with the venue coordinator who showed us all of the spots on the property that were being planned. The key word being "planned." The Meadows was still under construction and not scheduling weddings until the Spring of 2018 - until we showed up. We had visited several venues throughout the area and this by far was the most beautiful and inviting spot that we visited on our search. We wanted to be married in the woods, run through the meadows for pictures, have a bon fire, and have a relaxed atmosphere for friends and family. There are simply no other venues in the area that matched what we found with The Meadows.
Instead of turning us away while they were still under construction, they laid out a timeline of all projects that would be completed by our wedding date. The following 2 months were nothing short of amazing. Working with them became like working with family. Everything that we were told would be completed was completed..and so much more!!! Trails were carved out heading down to our wedding ceremony space, market lights were hung in the trees, a covered roof installed, a fire pit installed, a staging area that popped up seemingly overnight..etc..etc. We were truly amazed by the effort put forth by everyone involved who helped to make our wedding such an amazing day. Getting married at The Meadows was more than an event - it was an experience - and one we will never forget.

ony (we went with the lawn under the oak trees). The reception space is great because it can be molded into the exact look you're going for. The Meadows staff were incredibly responsive and helpful and were easy to work with and very accommodating when we decided to postpone. So many of our guests remarked on this amazing space and how it really made the day special. It was the perfect spot for our perfect day!

The team you get with The Meadows is hands down the most professional team I have ever seen in action. tact with them. We loved the space immediately and could tell that the team was going to be so easy/fun to work with that we booked right away and without hesitation.
The Roost and the Aerie House were a big selling point for us and really lived up to all of our expectations. They each provided the perfect space for the guys and girls to eat/drink/relax/get ready with lots of room for everyone to spread out. The Meadows allowed us to bring a chef on-site to the houses which was a really fun way to treat our wedding party and maximize the use of the space!
Our ceremony was in the valley and it was very lush and felt very intimate/open at the same time- we loved it and highly recommend! And last but not least, Heron Hall was an unreal backdrop to a great party. The space really is a blank slate and we were able to create lots of cozy spaces for our guests to relax (incorporating really great pieces from The Meadows furniture collection), along with a really fun party atmosphere for those who wanted to be on the dance floor.
In summary, the space is perfect, the team is everything, and I couldn't recommend it more highly! Thank you all for everything!

5 acres of rolling hills and beautiful meadows are such a perfect backdrop for a wedding. Our pictures were gorgeous! Second, the Meadows is conveniently located in Raleigh for easy access for wedding guests, but it definitely feels like more of a destination wedding venue. Third, the houses located on the property are amazing. We loved getting to spend some extra time with our wedding party with everyone staying on the property for the weekend. Fourth, and very importantly, the staff at the Meadows were so nice and accommodating to us throughout the whole wedding planning process. They were so great to work with and made sure everything was perfect for our big day!! I honestly cannot recommend the Meadows highly enough and would definitely encourage any newly engaged couples on the hunt for a wedding venue to check it out!!

maintained and stocked that it truly feels like a home away from home. Not only is the property gorgeous but the team behind the show really does it all. Nicole + team were able to answer every question and worry before the big day, and they pulled out all the stops to give us a dream wedding. y each time we've been back since. We fell in love with the beautiful North Carolina outdoors, amazing outdoor and indoor ceremony space options, and separate houses for getting ready. The venue is rustic but modern and has a beautiful, classic NC feel while also feeling as comfortable and fun and as your favorite brewery. It's truly unique from a lot of the other venues in the area.
We also were able to utilize a lot of decor and features that the venue offers--gorgeous live edge wood tables and complementing black reception chairs, sweetheart table and ladder to hang flowers on, copper arch for our ceremony, cornhole boards, patio with cocktail tables (and options for both built-in heaters and fans), and awesome fire pit for s'mores. We opted to spend the night before our wedding in Aerie House on the property and it was the best experience to get to spend that time together and wake up at the venue the morning of our wedding. We decided to go with the rain plan of having our ceremony inside the venue and were so glad we had that option because it was still so beautiful inside and also because it rained during our ceremony! There is also a "couple's suite" where we did our legal ceremony marriage license signing. It also has a private bathroom and was nice to be able to change into my reception dress there without really having to leave the reception.
The staff at The Meadows is wonderful and did a great job converting to an indoor ceremony last minute as well as flipping the space for reception during cocktail hour. They also still made our first look happen in the meadow where we were originally supposed to have our ceremony and it was so special to be able to have it out there (complete with roosters crowing as we read our vows!). I cannot recommend Lindsay enough, who was so helpful every step of the way and made so much magic happen on our wedding day.
A huge thank you to The Meadows--getting married here was absolutely one of the best choices we made for our wedding!
