My daughter in law and I have birthdays one week apart and we decided to celebrate together this year. Our son suggested The Melting Pot because they had never been and it had been years since we had been there. We had reservations for 6 pm Fri...
day night, 10/18/24. We each got the "Bigger Night Out" 4 course experience and our server was Jordan S.
The salad was fresh and nicely sized for a side salad. The cheese fondue (Alpine and Wisconsin Cheddar) was really good, but there was barely enough; we were scraping the pots at the end and hadn't finished all the bread. Also the sliced bread cubes weren't very fresh and it was mostly bread with just a few tiny veggies that were barely big enough to dip. We chose the land and sea combo which comes with a nice array of seafood, chicken, beef and veggies. The zucchini was missing from ours, but we just didn't worry about it. We had one pot with oil to dip in batter and then fry and one pot of Caribbean broth. I thought all the meat was tender and tasted fresh. I also liked all the sauces they bring to dip it in and they bring a seasoning as well. The service to that point was good, but not exceptional and we felt a bit rushed at one point. I will say that they did a great job of keeping our waters filled which is always appreciated.
Our issue, and the reason for 3 stars is due to what happened between the main course and dessert. After we finished the main course, the employee who filled our waters came to clear the table for dessert. We were sitting at a very large booth and the employee only wiped down the first half of the table, but the back half where my daughter in law and I were sitting was still very dirty. When the server, Jordan S. appeared with our dessert fondue and started to set it down, I put my hand up as if to say "wait" and let him know that the table hadn't been all the way cleaned. He seemed slightly annoyed but grabbed a towel and hastily ran it over the table. It was still dirty so I asked if he could please finish cleaning it and he very grudgingly started to, but then basically slid the towel down to me to clean it myself saying he couldn't reach it. That is absolutely unacceptable. Then I still noticed a bunch of crumbs in front of my husband so I was dusting those off the table and the server started making a big deal about "how he didn't know this was such a problem" etc and made me feel bad for asking to have our table clean before dessert. Even though the dessert fondue was delicious (dark chocolate raspberry and flaming turtle-also not enough and scraping sides of the pot)), I was honestly not able to enjoy it after being scolded and it was my birthday celebration.
My husband and I spent over $400 for the four of us and I would very much appreciate an apology as well as an opportunity to come back for cheese/chocolate fondue at the expense of The Melting Pot. I really don't want my last memory of my experience there to be a bad one.
*UPDATE*
I am so impressed at how well the GM, Darin Wooten received and responded to my review. A response to my review was made very quickly and he listened to my concerns and was empathetic. I was also compensated for an unfavorable experience with two experience coupons-one for cheese fondue and one for chocolate. Thank you for making things right! I think my next memory made there will be a GREAT one!!

My husband and I wanted to treat some friends who were visiting in town. We weren’t sure if the Melting Pot would be open since it was a holiday weekend, so he called in to make the reservation. We set a time and told them 4 guests. When we arr...
ived, we were seated at a table with one burner. I was confused at first. The menu is set up for couples, were we all suppose to share one fondue? Restricting our options AND receiving less than what our meal pays for? As soon as our server came we raised our concern and she explained that there is limited seating with 2 burners, but she graciously went and asked. A manager returned and we explained our situation, she suggested that there was a table in the bar with two burners and currently open. So we moved into the bar area, no problem. However, what prompted me to write this review, is that once we got to the table the manager said that when we make reservations online, there is a place to check whether or not you need two burners. We told her that we called in the reservation and assumed with two couples it would make sense. She told us that WE should ask next time. Excuse me? WE should ask? It seems like she needs to teach her staff to ask and confirm when someone makes a reservation over the phone with multiple people. Thats YOUR job. Why would two couples pay for two meal packages only to have to share the actual fondue they paid for separately? Did they expect us to order differently? Or take advantage? Despite our experience with the manager, the staff was wonderful serving our food throughout the night. They must and learned from someone else. So, the service got a 4 star review but I’d give the manager a 3.

I had been to their Bellevue location, and it was amazing, so I made a reservation at 4:15pm in the lounge at their Tacoma location to eat prior to the Sept 3rd P!NK Concert. I was disappointed and let down by my experience. Below, I have a few...
of the cliff notes to why.
• The concert started at 7 pm, and we arrived at 4:15 pm, so more than enough time to enjoy a couple of drinks, eat prior, and be able to get their dessert. Unfortunately, that did NOT happen for us.
• By 4:25pm, we have ordered their Apline Cheese with Gluten Free, and charcuterie board with Gluten-free dippers, the Espresso Martini, and Mule. (Mind you, it didn't seem very busy, and two gentlemen were working the bar)
• Our waitress let us know by 5:30pm that we had been forgotten about. We never got our drinks or food. (Just water).
• By the time we finally got our first drink and cheese with charcuterie board all together, it was approaching 6pm. We had to eat it all SO fast and not really enjoy it. My stomach got upset. Because we only got 30 minutes to eat and chat. Not so fun.
• Based on how slow everything was, we decided not to risk it and order the chocolate or another drink, which both things we planned to do since it was happy hour AND we got there at 4:15pm.
So we didn't get the drinks and dinner experience we were hoping for before the concert. That did not happen for us this evening.

We had a reservation at 4:15 for Happy Hour in bar. The bar was busy at all. I say this because we ordered our drinks and our Charcuterie board, and Alpine fondue. The waitress delivered our food, and we still didn't have our drinks. She came ...
back and told us we had been forgotten! It was 5:00 pm by the time we finally got a drink! We were going to the Pink concert. We thought we were going be able to have at least 2 drinks for the evening. But with such slow search we could chance it. We had to be on time for the Link. The food was very good. But due to service, no dessert for is either, which we wanted too.
