The Millennium Center is an all-inclusive, historic, multi-levelled wedding venue in the heart of Winston-Salem, NC. Originally built in 1906, it was once the City of Winston Post Office. Subsequently, it became a Federal Building, home to the United States Post Office, US Federal Court, US Attorney, FBI, US Marshal, Military enlistment offices, and the IRS. It was abandoned when operations moves downtown. In 1994, Gregory Carlyle purchased the property and spent two decades restoring it. To wed in The Millennium Center is to write your love story in the pages of history. The venue is home to a multitude of sites across three floors. With a capacity of up to 400 guests, The Ballroom and the Grand Lobby are equal contenders to celebrate an extravagant affair. On the other hand, The Speakeasy, Garden Room, the Historic Courtroom, and Grand Jury Room can accommodate up to 150. Each of them has a distinct character which will lend to the overall experience. Get-ready suites are also available for added comfort and convenience. The Millenium Center employs an experienced event staff who will diligently work towards the success of your event, eliminating the hassle of coordinating multiple vendors. This includes skilled, in-house coordinators, a culinary team, servers, bartenders, event managers, custodians, the AV department, and security. Upon choosing to work with them, you will have access to their carefully selected inventory of tables, chairs, linens, china, and crystal. You can also avail of their full-service floral and design department if you so choose. Alternatively, you may bring your own decorations. Professional sound and lighting, technical assistance, setup, and teardown are also included in your rental. The in-house culinary team is a talented group who are quite accustomed to working closely with families and executing multiple styles of cuisine and service. The venue allows outside caterers only if you require special international cuisine.
