The Milleridge was the PERFECT venue for my wedding. It's gorgeous, and I worked with Amanda throughout my engagement and she was stellar. Then I had Alex as my bridal attendant, and she was also absolutely wonderful. From the venue, to the service, to the wait staff to the bartenders, everything was wonderful. I also got our DJ, emcee, photogs, and photo booth through their company Dream Events. Everything was great, and made my day super special.
Our wedding was beyond beautiful, and the bridal attendant, Alexandra, was so attentive the entire day, keeping me and my husband hydrated and well fed. I had nothing to worry about, as everything was already done before I could’ve even thought about it!
Communication from Pam wasn’t great, but once she left and I got to work with Amanda, it was much more pleasant. She set up my decor just how I wanted it, which was a concern of mine, but she really knocked it out of the park. I was in awe myself lol. Guests still can’t stop talking about what an amazing night it was, and how good and plentiful the food was!
Every single person who we spoke to after our reception had spoke very highly of not only the venue, but the staff as well. Everyone took outstanding care of not only us and our parents, but most importantly all of our guests. And for that we are extremely grateful. When planning as big of a wedding that we had, we wanted to make sure we picked a place that could accommodate the number of guests and keep them well fed. The Milleridge captured that and some.
The food was absolutely incredible! We are hoping someone we know gets married here just so we can go back and have some of the food.
Amanda, was an absolute Rockstar and Alexandra was a saint! Pam was very easy to work with and very accommodating to all of our needs.
If you want you and your guests to remember your wedding day, be treated with respect and care, and well fed - we couldn't recommend The Milleridge enough!
We had our wedding at the Milleridge abd it was the wedding of our dreams. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the food was fantastic, the setting was beautiful and Pam, Amanda, and Alexandra were incredible. They attended to our every need and were so positive, kind, and attentive. Our wedding is way beyond my highest expectations and I would recommend the Milleridge to anyone for their wedding.
We had the wedding of our dreams, and it was all thanks to Pam, Adam, and ofcourse The Milleridge.
From the moment we stepped into the venues office and met with our coordinator, Pam, we knew we were in great hands. Walking into the cottage for the first time was such a relief because we knew this was our wedding venue. Pam was so kind, informative, and walked us through every detail. After booking our date we decided to have Adam (Dream events) handle all the our event needs. This was one of the best decisions we made. Adam took care of everything with such finesse and elegance. This included amazing florals, wonderful photographer’s & videographer’s, awesome DJ & MC, fantastic photo booth, and a crazy to go station that our guests are still talking about!
As we lead up to our big day Adam and Pam made sure everything was on track and alleviated any stress that we had. We trusted them and they surly did not let us down. All we had to do was make our payments everything else they took care of! They made us feel like family from the beginning to the very end. The staff of Milleridge is unbeatable in service, class, and making dreams come true.
We had such an amazing experience and still go to the Inn for dinner at least once a month! Also to bother Pam and Adam.
Pam was truly amazingly!! She made the whole wedding planning experience! Her staff was attentive and made sure all of our guests were well taken care of. We received a lot of compliments on the food! Pam will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Pam, Amanda and Sue knocked it out of the park with our day. We always had a fresh drink in hand, they whisked us around the grounds like royalty as well as our parents and bridal party. The food was endless, the drinks were amazing, waitstaff was spectacular, cake was not only gorgeous but delicious and the cottage is just the ultimate setting. Truly the best day of our lives and the best most attentive team! Would highly recommend. Plus who doesnt love the charm of the village and the peacocks!
Our ceremony was onsite / outside. The area was completed shaded before the start of our 6:30 PM ceremony. We had our florist add arrangements to the ceremony arch and aisle markers. Both were simple, yet stunning, touches. There were peacocks casually roaming the grounds, which was cool and unique.
The atrium space, where cocktail hour is held, is absolutely stunning. Our guests especially raved about the cocktail hour food. The decor added by Dream (bistro lights, drapery, LED uplighting, and wooden sweatshirt table) and that I purchased myself (candles, faux greenery, and gold charger plates) further added to the natural beauty of the reception room.
Our day ran flawless thanks to Pam, our Maitre D Amanda, and Bridal Attendant Lesley, as they were attentive to my husband and I the entire day. Our cake, which was from Milleridge Bakery, was also perfection. I cannot say enough great things about The Milleridge Cottage!
My husband and I couldn’t have been happier with our July 2022 wedding at the Milleridge Cottage! We had been looking for a rustic wedding venue that could hold space for our large families, and the Milleridge was just that. Updated, fresh, and clean, we loved the window-ed cocktail hour room, the beautiful fireplace, and large dance floor in the main room!
From our initial booking, we were completely taken care of by Pam and the rest of the staff. (And were surprised to find out that their peak season is actually during the holidays, so we were able to get a lower price per plate as compared to some other venues here on LI.) Pam was so kind and attentive, always excited to speak with us when we called with questions throughout the duration of our 2+ year engagement. The food tasting was incredible (they allowed for a total of 6 people, which accommodated us and both sets of parents), and the 3 months leading up to the wedding went so smoothly with her help. She helped us work out a day-of timeline, decorated the space with everything we brought in, and was patient with my type-A bridal binder full of details!
The day of the wedding couldn’t have gone more smoothly! Pam had promised us a few minutes alone when we first arrived at the venue; as soon as we put our stuff down, she swept us away like the Secret Service and snuck us into the cocktail hour room, where we had our signature drinks and a huge tray of food from each station waiting for us. She tied a *tablecloth* around me so I wouldn’t spill on my dress, and told us to take as long as we wanted together!! As the night went on, everyone raved about the food and how spacious the venue was, with outdoor areas available both during cocktail hour and the reception. Amanda (the maitre’d) and my bridal attendant were both constantly refilling drinks for my husband and I, as well as the bridal party and both of our families.
Some other things of note: the Milleridge package includes a 3-tier cake built into the per plate price, and it was beautifully decorated! We also opted to pay for their specialty cinnamon bread as our favor; SUCH a hit!! My bridesmaid’s fiance left the venue with 11 loaves of bread in his backpack because we wanted to make sure none went to waste!!!
Overall we were so pleased with our choice to have our reception at the Milleridge and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a rustic vibe in a large space.
As soon as we walked into The Milleridge Cottage on our first visit, we knew right away that it would be perfect! The Cottage has the perfect mix of rustic elegance on Long Island. We had our ceremony outside and the peacocks chimed in perfectly with our vows! Pam was so sweet and accommodating to work with from the get-go. She really made us feel at home. From the time we booked and up until our wedding, we were able to visit the venue whenever we needed to consider decorations, layout, etc. The day of, the Milleridge made us feel so comfortable and at ease. They literally think of everything and are always five steps ahead of you. After our ceremony, they brought us up into the bridal suite so that we could have a minute to ourselves and enjoy the cocktail hour food in privacy. The food was absolutely delicious!! We could not have asked for a better day or better people to work with. We would recommend the Cottage to anyone!
I can not say enough amazing things about Adam or Pam! I blew up Adam's phone a million times in the span of 5 days with changes and questions and he always answered with positivity and light. I would not have made in through the week before my wedding without them!
Have been coming for more years then I can remember. Lunch always as soon as xmas decorations up. What a disaster today was. We were there for St Patty's Day in March...fabulous as always. Today!!!!! so horrid I cant even say. It was disgusting. Food was inedible... we had reservations for 12:30 did not get seated for 20 plus minutes... yet plenty of tables for 2 in the "bar room" . We always in main area...Food (osso bucco) so bad we sent back & ordered polinta ..which ended up being a huge plate of BURNT french fries... disgusting and inedible. To top it of..you need to get rid of the nasty hostess/ says she’s manager lol not. She ended up charging us...of course for the more expensive osso bucco with "soupy polentina"...gross.
All was inedible...we ate only the soup and shared bottle of wine ..nothing else. Beautiful decorations as always but only good thing I can say. I dont know what is going on but...get rid of the nasty sharp sour face “GIRL”/ "hostess" & most of all whoever is cooking, they are by no means any kind of chef! A food truck puts out better for way less money. .. Big WOW as this was a first for long time many years patrons. I will be writing reviews this week with pics of food and service received . What a difference from St Patty's Day and all the years gone by.
Exceptional Cuisine!!! NOT...! Totally inedible, apparently no real chef! DON’T GO FOR ANY LUNCH DINNER PARTY, STAY AWAY!
OMG DON’T DO IT!!!
Adam Panetta where were YOU!!
We had our intimate wedding reception of 40 people at the Milleridge Inn (in the Robert Williams Room) and worked with Pam. It was very nice and the food was great. Pam’s partner Adam who works for Dream Events on details like flowers and favors was a bit more difficult to work with and required persistent follow-up to get answers. We were originally going to get the floral centerpieces using them, but it was a nightmare getting responses, so we found an outside florist who was better at communicating and it worked out. The wine bottle party favors they produced were good though! The bakery there at Milleridge created a beautiful vintage wedding cake for us, we absolutely loved it! Pro tip: designate someone you trust to get the cake topper on because my cake was brought it during dinner and was topless until I texted my Maid of Honor to fetch it and get it on there! Overall I think this was a lovely place for a wedding reception. Thank you!
Everything was amazing! The servers were exceptionally friendly and very very good! I loved it
We fell in love with Milleridge the second we went to see it. We loved the “homey” charm it had and how it was unique and quaint, unlike your typical catering hall. We worked with Kathy through the planning stages and she was responsive and informative. The day of was INCREDIBLE. Our guests loved the food. Pam was our Maitre’d and Rachel was our bridal attendant. They were both beyond amazing. They were so attentive to our needs. The staff was so hospitable and accommodating to our guests, going above and beyond even to ensure one of our guests with extreme dietary restrictions was taken care of, something that we had forgotten to mention to them ahead of time. Our wedding was truly amazing and we owe a lot of that to the Milleridge.
The service was amazing!! Food and cocktail hour was outstanding! Beautiful rustic atmosphere. My wedding was the best day ever!!
The moment we stepped foot into the cottage we knew this was our venue. It was exactly what we were looking for- rustic but elegant. Pam was unbelievable from the second we met her until the second our wedding was over. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was and especially how amazing the food was! All of the typical wedding "hiccups" that are inevitable had nothing to do with The Milleridge. We cannot thank Pam and everyone on her staff enough! The cottage was a dream.
I would not change one single thing! From the very first meeting with Kathy, I knew we were in good hands. Pam and Jessica were amazing the day of and i couldn't have asked for anything better. Our guests are still raving about the food-and there’s plenty of it to go around!! Every single person involves our in so much thought and care and really made us feel so special. Beautiful venue, wonderful people and the best wedding ever :)
I just had my wedding at the Milleridge this July. Everything was beautiful! The food was amazing and everyone said how beautiful it was! Kathy was a pleasure to work with and helped with all our decisions throughout the process. Pam was so sweet and amazing the day of the wedding! Everything was organized and she was on top of everything! She made sure that I was not stressed and took care of everything! Kristin my bridal attendant was awesome as well! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding. We loved everything about it! Everyone that worked at the cottage did a wonderful job! We took pictures in the village and outside. We got married there as well. People are still raving about how beautiful the place was and how good the food was. Cocktail hour was awesome and the main dish was just as good! Even the cookies and pastries they give you were delicious!!!I can’t say enough good things about it!!! Thank you so much for making our wedding day perfect and a day we’ll never forget!!!!!
As soon as I walked into The Cottage, I knew that's where I would be having my wedding. I was looking for a timeless, classic venue with hardwood floors, plenty of space, and no tacky furnishings. The location was perfect -- equidistant from JFK and LGA for all of our guests coming in from out of town, and not far from the city (guests had no problem taking the LIRR and Ubers). I was an anxious bride and Kathy patiently handled my many questions and concerns. Our guests loved the food and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend The Cottage at The Milleridge Inn as a wedding venue!
Our wedding was perfect from beginning to end! We cannot thank Pam enough for everything she did for us during the whole process! Our wedding was 4 months ago and our family and friends still talk about what a great wedding we had. You will not be disappointed if you have your wedding at the Milleridge Inn!
Milleridge did an amazing job with our wedding. We did a cocktail style reception that our guest truly loved. The drinks were always flowing, food being eaten and people on the dance floor. The layout helped to make our 220 guests feel like they were always part of the party even when they were in the lobby at the photobooth or bad or getting food in the atrium room. Couldnt be happier.
I honestly cannot explain in words how amazing our wedding experience was with The Milleridge Inn. With only 4 months to plan they made the experience extremely simple. Kathy was a joy to work with and was very helpful in guiding my Wife and I on what would work for nearly 200 guests.
On our wedding day the staff was extremely attentive and stopped at nothing to make sure it was the best day of our lives. Pam made us feel as if the venue belonged to us. She really loves her job and it showed throughout the evening. Her assistants literally sprinted from one end of the venue to the other to make sure my Wife was well taken care of.
The food was outstanding. We had a cocktail style wedding and there was a station for everything you could imagine. And it kept coming non stop.
It's been a month since our wedding and we are still getting texts and calls from friends and family stating what a great time they had. We owe that in large part to The Milleridge Inn and their staff.
This was the absolute PERFECT wedding venue for my wife and me! From the moment we walked in, we knew that the Cottage was going to be the place we got married. The ambience, the staff, the food, EVERYTHING was absolutely perfect. In fact, when we brought her mom to see the venue, she started crying! I'd give The Milleridge 10-stars if I could!
From the moment we walked into the Milleridge Cottage we knew we had to get married there. A crazy feeling considering we were already set on another venue prior. There were hiccups here and there as I’m sure there are with every wedding but the Milleridge staff was on point and made the night truly perfect. A special shoutout to Pam and Kathy who seriously think of EVERYTHING in advance and to Elena and Claudia who were fantastic. It actually rained right before our ceremony and they had to take everything in/cover everything up and then fix it literally RIGHT BEFORE THE CEREMONY. It was impressive and while the rain had me worried I almost forgot about it until writing this. They also did a great job of making sure husband and I always had drinks and food and lipstick and whatever else we needed. Before we asked.
My brother Samuel's wedding was held at the Cottage last month and the wedding was so beautiful from start to finish.
We absolutely loved the food, ambiance and Dream Events did a great job with the bistro lights.
Thank you for making our family happy and for fulfilling a lifelong dream!
Dream wedding! We loved our Milleridge Cottage wedding SO much. The attention to detail, the food, the service were all amazing! We were so appreciative to the staff for having our day go off without a hitch. Our guests are still raving about the cocktail hour- the food was over the top and out of this world! The renovated cottage is beautiful - perfect wedding ambiance!
We could not have made a better choice than the Milleridge Cottage for our November wedding! Pam really understood our vision and worked with us consistently to make sure all fell into place perfectly. The cocktail hour was an absolute hit and was so beautifully decorated! The bridal attendants were fabulous and on top of everything and anything. Friends and family are still raving about the reception! Highly recommend!
Perfect. No other word to describe the cottage. The night was nothing short of a dream. Every guest raved about the service, decor and food. The best decision we made was booking the cottage!
We had our wedding at the Cottage at the Milleridge Inn during the Halloween season. We worked with Kathy during the process. She was efficient and responded to emails right away. Pam was our Maitre D' and was absolutely amazing to work with!! When we dropped off our stuff for the wedding we went through everything and did a walk through of where we wanted everything to go (and also gave free range if things needed to be changed). Pam and stuff exceeded my expectations. The Cottage was absolutely beautiful and breathe taking. Pam bustled my dress within 2 minutes and made sure myself, my husband, family, and bridal party were all taken care of with food and drinks. My bridal attendant was super attentive and made sure I always had a drink in my hand and had some food. Everyone raved about the food! The cocktail hour was amazing, the food was delicious, and everyone could't stop talking about the cake, Viennese hour, and amazing cinnamon bread as favors.
We also took beautiful pictures in the Milleridge Village even though it was decorated for Halloween. You couldn't even notice! It rained on our day, so many of the guests didn't go to the village, but it is super adorable and wonderful to have as a spot to go if your getting married off site and have some time before the reception.
The Cottage at the Milleridge Inn offers a homey, vintage, rustic feel that you can't get at any other wedding venue. One of my guests said "I don't even feel like I'm at a wedding. I feel like I am at home." Everyone loved the feel and I am so happy with everything!!
My husband and I got married at the Milleridge Cottage on 10/29/17. We worked with Pam from the very beginning of planning and words cannot describe how awesome she is! She answered every email and call leading up to our wedding. She was beyond helpful during our wedding, and I would absolutely recommend working with her at the Milleridge Cottage. The Milleridge Cottage is absolutely amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. We still receive compliments on how beautiful the venue was and the exceptional food. We highly recommend the Milleridge Cottage for any couple looking to celebrate their dream wedding!
I am so happy that we had our wedding at The Milleridge Inn - The Cottage. Our coordinator, Kathy, was great to work with. She made everything very easy and simple to book. Every time I came to drop off things or go over details, she would take whoever I was with on a tour of the venue and treated us to the bakery’s cinnamon bread. Even when it came to our cake selection, they were very accommodating to the flavor we wanted. She answer my all questions and phone calls. The day of, working with Pam, our maître d’, and the staff was perfect. They made our family and us feel so comfortable and were always there if we needed anything. They were so obliging when it came to the traditional tea ceremony. Also my bridal attendant, Sadie, was a doll. She was there to help with my dress for photos, bring us food and drinks when we needed to take a break away from the excitement. The food was excellent and even our guests couldn’t get enough of it. Some of them filled up at cocktail hour because it was so good and took the dinner and pastries home.
I truly don’t know if I have enough words to say how amazing everything was at our wedding. From the second we walked into the Milleridge Inn to take a tour, we fell in love. Everything was beautiful and perfect. Pam was beyond amazing through the entire process. The night of our wedding Pam and the rest of the staff went above and beyond. Not only is Pam an amazing person, but she is amazing at what she does. The night went so smoothly and I honestly would not change one thing. Everyone was so attentive and made sure we had a drink in our hand, food on our plate and a smile on our faces. I got so many calls and messages from our guests about how amazing the food and the night was. I would recommend The Milleridge Inn to anyone and everyone. Thank you for making our wedding truly the best day of our lives!!!
I got married at the Milleridge Cottage 9/7/2018. It was truly amazing. I cannot thank the staff enough. From beginning to end, Kathy and Pam were professional and did not mind me popping in to ask questions or emailing them whenever I had a question. The reception ran so smoothly. Pam and her staff were so attentive to me, my husband, our families, and our wedding party. What made this even more special was that my parents had their wedding reception at the Cottage in 1989. Everything was perfect, the food was delicious, the guests were raving about the cake, and people are still telling me how beautiful the evening was. I will be forever grateful for everything.
when I toured venues it was just my mom and myself since my husband was still in the military. The Milleridge was the only place who asked where he was, which made me feel so great. Throughout the planning I sent so many emails and they always responded within an hour! The Maitre D, Pam, was an angel she bustled my dress by herself, gave me a sample of each appetizer on one plate in the bridal suite, and stood guard at our table during dinner to make sure we ate! And speaking of dinner, the food was ABUNDANT and delicious! People are still raving!! It was truly a dream thanks to the Milleridge!
We cannot say enough nice things about the Cottage at the Milleridge Inn! My husband and I actually stumbled upon the Cottage by accident when searching for a wedding venue. We weren’t expecting much but fell in love immediately. From the very first moment I met Pam, I knew I could trust her with our big day. She was immediately so friendly and kind from our very first phone call to set up a tour. Throughout the planning process, Pam was so on the ball. She helped keep me on track and made planning a breeze. The venue itself is stunning. The grounds were so lush and green and made for absolutely beautiful photos. Our guests were dazzled by the peacocks walking around. The inside is beautiful. The dance floor was big enough for my 200 guests to dance the night away and no one was cramped at their dinner table. The food! Oh my gosh there was so much food and it was all delicious. Food is very important to my in-laws, which worried me, but they were all very happy with the food. The service was outstanding. Pam made sure my husband and I had enough to eat and a few minutes to ourselves. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. Overall, our day was absolutely perfect and we wouldn’t change a single thing.
The Milleridge brought the vision of my dream wedding to life. The decor was everything I had envisioned and more!! Rodolfo did an incredible job on the flowers and the decorations. All of my guests raved about how wonderful the food was. I could have not asked for a better wedding! The staff was incredible. Kathy, Rodolfo, Pam, Rachel, Stephen were amazing!!
The food, the atmosphere the staff was incredible!! Pam saw our vision and did everything she could to make it perfect!!!! #ohwhatanight
I feel very upset writing this review, but I was so excited to come across this beautiful venue on the knot. I have a small party about 110-125 guest, which on the knot it says the minimum is 125 so I decided to give the cottage a call to enquire. When speaking to Kathy, she sounded very displeased to begin with, but when I told her my party size... not even a we can work with you but "for a Friday night you have to guarantee 150 people" I have called several venues and they say normally it is this but we can work with you... they never sounded nasal and rude dismiss me. Anyway, I was in shock, because I have heard of venues lowering head counts on a Friday or at least offer to work with you... so I simply said "Oh.... even on a Friday" where Kathy states well we have a lot of Friday weddings here... I responded with oh, okay and then Click she hangs up the phone!!!!!!!!!! How rude!!!!! I apologize as I see there are many great reviews on this venue, and I wish I could be adding another one.. it is gorgeous and I thought I could possibly host my wedding here... but clearly Kathy did not feel the same.
Our wedding was absolutely beautiful! We had the most perfect day! The Milleridge inn is amazing! We took our pictures outside on the property and also by the barn! I love that they have animals!! Our photographer and videographer were so nice. The Milleridge staff were very friendly and nice and helpful, always making sure our guests were taken care of. The dj/emcee-they were so much fun! Kept everyone dancing all night! And also the selfie booth was a big hit! Our guests have told us it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to! Our wedding coordinator Pam Arnone was absolutely wonderful, always making sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. My bridal attendants were also very helpful, always making sure that I was satisfied. The food was the best I’ve ever tasted! Even our guests were talking about how delicious all the food was! I highly recommend the Milleridge inn! You will not be disappointed!
We had our daughter's wedding there in June of 2017. The room improvements looked stunning and the food was abundant, served promptly and delicious. The best feature... Pam. She walked us through every step of the way-- provided options and was spot on. On the day of the wedding, she was gracious and efficient. Because of her, we all had a great time. Kudos to the Milleridge for providing such quality staff.
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Cottage in June 2017. We had a wonderful and beautiful wedding. Kathy was our contact person and she was outstanding and very helpful in going through the details. We had some special requests and Kathy made it happen. Since we had a day wedding and had pictures scheduled early in the morning, we needed to get to the Cottage really early to get ready. Plus for ease for my parents to stay in one place to get ready also, it was easier if they could get ready at the Cottage too. Kathy was so understanding and wonderful that she herself opened up the Cottage in the early morning. We wanted our dog as the flower girl and ring bearer and they allowed her to be a part of the ceremony and stay for the reception. During the wedding ceremony and reception, Pam was exceptional at helping me with my huge wedding gown. Pam also gave great direction to make the day run so smoothly. We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the wedding was and how great the food tasted. Both Kathy and Pam went above and beyond to make our day memorable. We are so glad we chose to have our wedding at the Cottage.
Looks like a lovely venue... but they need to work on their people skills, holy rude over the phone.
We booked our wedding in March of 2016 for April of 2017. The day we went in to take a look at The Cottage, we were walked through all of the renovations they would be doing in the upcoming year. We were excited and decided to book - it was one of the best decisions we ever made.
Throughout the year, Kathy was amazing to deal with. She was on point for all of our questions, we never had to wait long for her to respond and she was as excited as we were for the big day.
The Cottage was the perfect fit for our wedding. It's understated beauty reflected who we are as a couple perfectly. The renovations were amazing - beautiful floors, gorgeous ceilings with new chandeliers, new modern bathrooms, spacious and comfortable - we couldn't have been happier.
Our guests not only raved about the decor, but the food as well. Cocktail hour was fantastic and no one had a bad meal at dinner. The staff was amazing throughout the cocktail and dinner service.
Our maitre d', Pam and our bridal attendant Saidy were also both amazing - they made us feel so special and we wanted for nothing during the entire party.
If you are looking for a beautiful, down to earth venue, we highly recommend The Cottage at The Milleridge Inn - they helped make the first day of our new life together an incredibly special one!
My wife and I got married at the Milleridge Cottage on Sunday, July 24th. After what seemed to be an endless search for venues, we came about The Milleridge Cottage. We really liked the simple elegance of the Cottage and the fact that you can be the only event of the evening as the entire Cottage is yours. Also, we knew the food is great at the Milleridge Inn so we figured the Milleridge Cottage would be the same. We got engaged this February and were hoping to get married in late July. We met their sales consultant Kathy Redash during our initial visit and worked with her throughout the entire process. She gave us a tour of the venue as well as walked us though pricing, available dates, and potential menus on our first visit. We looked at all sorts of venues ranging from wedding factory type places, castles, upstate venues, golf courses, and more. The Milleridge had the best of all of the venues all put into one. Kathy told us that they would be undergoing a renovation and that the place would look even better than how it looked when we visited. I thought to myself, why would they change the way the place looks, when it already looks so great. But, I also thought, it they are going to renovate, I’m sure that they would make it even better. And “WOW”….We could not believe how amazing the venue looked on our wedding day. The bridal room was brand new with onyx floors. A beautiful new fireplace as a backdrop behind us, amazing new floors, and new windows to bring more light into the space.
Ok…so we had our wedding ceremony outdoors. The grounds were nicely kept and peacocks and other animals roam around. People took photos of the beautiful peacocks on the property and the children that attended our event loved every bit of it. It gave you a feeling as if you weren’t in NY.
Kathy and the Milleridge team went above and beyond for us. Our guests complimented how amazing the food was and how much of it there way. The service was flawless. The drinks flowed all night and everything was top shelf. What other vendors considered top shelf was not what the Milleridge called top shelf. Our guests would ask for a vodka soda and the bartenders would ask if Grey Goose was ok. Johnny Walker…of course it was Black Label. You want Tequila..of course it was Patron. We are now a few weeks after our wedding and people continue to tell us that it was the best and most impressive wedding that they have ever attended. The cocktail hour was the best anyone had ever seen. The dinner with Filet Mignon and other choices were cooked to perfection. The Viennese hour that we included had desserts that our family and friends are still dreaming about.
Our wedding day exceeded every expectation that we had and was the wedding of our dreams and this was thanks to the entire Milleridge team and especially Kathy Redash.
I went to the Milleridge Cottage after its recent remodel for a wedding, and it was so beautiful!! The venue was so elegant and lavish. The wait staff was extremely attentive and personal, and highly professional. We also LOVED the food! Everything was made to perfection, and tasted so fresh and flavorful. I would definitely have my wedding here, as my experience was flawless and this place is one I will never forget!!
The Milleridge Cottage was the second and last venue we saw and my husband and I were sold! We both were looking for a big dance floor, spacious room and a cozy, non-catering hall feel and the Milleridge fit the bill! They were willing to negotiate and help customize our menu. We had every confidence in the venue until May 2015 when we found out they had been sold. The panic and anxiety that ensued was something I hope that no other bride experiences. Through it all the staff at the Milleridge tried to reassure us our event would continue as promised with the quality that we had expected. I called and visited many times during this period, deciding whether to move our wedding elsewhere. We chose to stay and we couldn't have been happier. Even though there was some turn over in staff, Melissa was amazing to us. Not only did she quell our fears, she helped us organize, finalize details, and gave us helpful feedback and advice about everything. On the day of the wedding, we were in excellent hands. The staff received word that they would be staying open, we had a beautiful 65 degree sunny November day AND the hall was decorated for Christmas. We had so much food at the cocktail hour - our bartenders took care of our big crowd and there was a ton of food in bridal suite. Alexandra and Scott were our maitre'ds and took care of us, refilled our drinks, and helped the day flow smoothly. The Vienesse hour was insane and totally worth it. We had many guests comment about how they had heard mixed reviews about the Milleridge in general but were so impressed with our wedding. The staff handled our 200 guests easily, accommodated requests and were generally helpful. Our wedding cake was deliciously made by the bakery. We enjoyed taking photos in the village and the ambiance of the whole place. The place is not new nor is it the most modern looking - but that worked for us. Hopefully some updates will be made , keeping the same charm that drew us in. We really had an amazing wedding day thanks to the staff at the Milleridge!
We had gotten engaged last June and spent months looking for the perfect venue. We had looked at so many venues and didn’t feel happy with any of them. When we found the Milleridge Inn, our thoughts changed completely. They didn’t pressure us to choose a date asap or else we will lose one. They had a flat rate which included everything from catering, wedding cake, the ceremony aisle runners and flowers, and an open bar with top shelf liquor. They were extremely accommodating when holding the desired date for us.
I am not sure if it was the amazing hospitality, down to earth, friendly and extremely helpful staff, or the quaint and warm environment, but we knew we had found our wedding spot. After looking around at the rustic wooden floors and adorable Milleridge Village, we immediately booked this place without any question. What made this place even classier was the fact that they were willing to work with our budget by reducing costs on certain items, as well as customizing food items for our kosher guests. It worked very well for a mid-sized reform Jewish ceremony. The staff even recommended DJ’s and through them, we found an amazing DJ.
All we can say is that throughout the process until the wedding day, the staffs at The Milleridge had treated us like family and were extremely helpful along the way. We were helped by Jayne Fricke. They set up ceremony and reception packages which really take the ease off of finding an external caterer and ceremony florist during wedding planning. The food was outstanding! It was French/American country and probably the best wedding food that I have ever had. The bakery is right in town, and they made us a gorgeous cake which you didn’t want to even eat. The décor was classy, quaint, and elegant, which is something that is rare to find in the area. They even treat you like royalty in the bridal suite by giving you champagne. The staff came in to ease any pre wedding nerves before the ceremony. The bar and bar tender was amazing. It was filled with top shelf liquor and the bar tender was able to make anything that you wanted. We are so glad that we had our wedding at The Milleridge Inn. It is truly a unique and loving venue.
The Milleridge Cottage was the most amazing venue! They offer tons of help and made everything just right. Given that my day didn't really start out well, by the end of the night I was more then thrilled with the result. My guests absolutely could not stop raving about the night, the food the drinks everything! and they thought the space was stunning! All of them had an amazing time.
Thank you so much to Melissa and the other ladies at the Cottage. The evening turned out awesome! I would ABSOLUTELY go back and have another event. Maybe a baby shower! ;)
From the staff to the venue to the decor, everything about this place was phenomenal. They Made our day feel extra special. Our matre d was incredible!!! The bridal attendants made sure we ate and always had a drink in our hand. They kept an eye on everything. It was truly the most incredible day! My coordinator, Melissa, was a Godsend! The sweetest woman, who made me feel at ease about everything! Plus the food was to amazing! It will truly be a shame if they knock this beautiful venue down!
We had our wedding at the Milleridge Cottage in August and it was even better than I had imagined. I can't say enough about the day. Melissa Culp was helpful throughout the whole process. Her energy and attention to detail was so wonderful. I have never met anyone like her before. When I was stressed, she calmed me down. She had great ideas on how to decorate the room and I am so happy to have been able to work with her. She took all of my phone calls with grace and walked me through the whole process. Melissa's bubbly personality cannot be matched. I have never met anyone that is always as happy as she is.
Pam was our matri'd. Yes, the amazing Pam. The party ran smoothly and if it wasn't for her I probably would not have gotten through the night. She made sure I was where I was supposed to be at all times. Throughout the night she always made sure my husband and I were drinking. This story proves how great Pam is:
It was approaching 7:00 and I was in the bridal suite about to walk down the isle. My father was greeting people as they entered the cottage. One man gave my father a big bear hug and at that moment his button to his tux went flying. My father started to panic a bit because now he was going to have to walk me down the isle with his jacket open. Pam apparently saw the whole thing, she rushed over, took his jacket, and within minutes had a new button sewed on. The button even matched the buttons on the jacket already! I had no idea this was going on, but by the time I was walking down the isle with my dad his jacket was as he wanted it to be.
From beginning to end I cannot say enough about the staff at the Cottage. I knew my wedding would be nice, good food, good band, etc. But it was so much more than what I had expected. People are still talking about the food! But what made it seamless for me is being able to work with Melissa and Pam. Thank you both for being part of our special day.
It is such a shame the Cottage is closing. It is not only a Long Island Landmark, but a wonderful place to be. I am so thankful to have been able to get married there.
There is so much I can say. First the decor was beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very tenative to our needs, The food was AMAZING. I never dreamed our day would be as beautiful as it was. Everyone was very professional and they made sure that it was all about us and making it as special for us as they can. Beautifully done would be an under statement as to the care they gave us on our day. Our guest is still talking about our day and their experience with you all. Thank you for making our day so beautiful for us. - Charlene & Nikita Sherriff
hands down the best place to have a winter wedding!!! It has been 3 weeks since our wedding and people are still talking about the food!!! They went above and beyond to make our day amazing and special...Thank you again!!! && Pam is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! You would be a fool to not book your wedding here!!!
What a nightmare, from beginning to end. I had nothing but problems during the entire year before my wedding. I was told by Jennifer that I could have any cake made at the bakery there and pay an upgrade fee...not the case. Any pictures I sent were immediately answered via email with "no", no explanation given. I contacted the baker directly he told me he was never shown any pictures that I emailed her. At the tasting you are given about 15 things to try out of 80 and have to guess what the rest will taste like. I was told there would be centerpieces provided by Milleridge for the cocktail tables and I showed up the day of my wedding to empty tables.Pam did take care of that situation (she was the only helpful person throughout this whole experience). They threw out the leftover dessert after the wedding when I was told to pick it up the next morning and they "lost" one of my centerpiece bases. I was never made to feel like a "bride" during this experience. All of my guests thought everything was beautiful but the year before and day after were a nightmare.
A year ago we walked into the Milleridge Cottage, filled with a bundle of nerves, and fell in love! Our banquet manager, Jennifer, walked us through the cottage and instantly helped us picture our wedding day there. She was always on the other end of a phone or email with us and even helped pick out our wedding cake! Jen got us to the wedding day and Pam, our maître‘d, made sure that we survived it! All of Pam’s wedding reviews are amazing, but they do not do enough justice for this woman! Pam, like a ninja, is barely seen and only captured in pictures running in the background. She worked so hard to give us a perfect day & we appreciated every second of it! Pam also has a contagious spirit! She is such a warm and special person! We’re so glad that she was a part of our day! Our guests are still raving about the place, every piece of food that was served, and the unbelievable service! The Milleridge Cottage pays attention to every detail and that’s why our wedding day was perfect!
The Milleridge Cottage was absolutely amazing! They paid so much attention to detail and went above and beyond for everything. The maitre d, Pam was fabulous! Whatever anyone needed she took care of. She even packaged food and dessert for us to take home. My banquet manager was Heather and she took care of everything from helping choose a balanced menu to seating arrangements for the room.
I had my wedding at the cottage on memorial weekend and could not be happier with the decision to book with them. Jennifer and David (the banquet managers) were beyond helpful with all of the planning. Working with the milleridge is such a different experience than working with many of the other venues on LI because it's like working with a family. It's not an over-the-top, extravagant venue like other around (which is exactly what I loved about it), yet the ballroom is gigantic and the dancefloor is the biggest I've seen at any wedding. It's got that "homey" feel, with the hardwood floors throughout and the way the entrance room looks like you've just entered someone's beautiful home. I had about 225 people at my wedding, and cocktail hour was never overcrowded due to all of the outdoor space and the fact that tables were set-up everywhere. The bar was never overcrowded either because they have one in the ballroom, and the main bar by the entrance which was also very nice. I loved that it was one wedding at a time as well. We had so many people come up to us to say how they loved the venue because it was so different than the other ones around. Others told us it was refreshing to go to a venue that was unlike every other venue around LI too. I have been to so many weddings in the last couple of years, and just felt that many of them seem so similar. Other venues just have so much going on that it can get distracting. I feel like the cottage is the type of venue that "speaks for itself" and because of it's more vintage/antique type of look, it allows for the guests to focus less on what is going on in the room, and more on each other.
Now onto Pam the (maitre d): She is reason enough to book with the milleridge! She put candles EVERYWHERE and made the room look so beautiful. She took me and my husband in a golf cart over to the village area for pictures, and went ahead of us and ordered a chocolate milkshake for us to sip on in the confectionery cafe for pictures, which I thought was so cute of her to do. She gave me one of every entree on the menu for dinner!!!! I had salmon, duck, chicken, and chateaubriand lol..And made my husband a giant cheeseburger (the size of his plate) with fries for dinner as per his request lol... She set up everything (beer koozies, seating chart, picture frames, favors, menus, signature drink signs, flip flops, etc. etc. etc.) exactly how I pictured it and I didn't have one complaint about the set-up. She had drinks at my table for my husband and I the second she saw they were about to be empty. She went to the tables to make sure people were having a good time and asked if anyone needed anything. She also overheard my dad say how good the baby lamp chops were at cocktail hour and actually got a giant plate of like 15 of them and put them on his table during the reception. It was absolutely perfect. You could tell she truly cares about her job. I've been to alot of weddings in the last couple of years and I truly feel that the services provided at the milleridge are absolutely the best around.
My experience at the milleridge was amazing , the staff was super friendly and really helpful. The food was good . I would definitely use this venue again.
I can't say enough good things about the staff at Milleridge. Pam my maître d made the day seamless everything was perfect and went smoothly. My guest loved the food and the seating was breath taking. Best day ever!!
There are no words to describe how I felt on my wedding day. Everything was just perfect at the Milleridge! Their staff is absolutely amazing! I can't say enough about Pam, Jennifer and David. They made sure everything looked perfect, ran smoothly and made me feel like family. They are truly caring people there. The food was excellent!
