vision in mind for our vibe, and The Monroe helped us bring that to life. We are so glad there was an elegant venue space that wasn’t too big for our 80 person wedding available in Des Moines! The cherry on top is the sweet, accommodating employees. We highly recommend touring The Monroe!

cktail area, and reception area. Our guests loved that there was no traveling between the ceremony and reception. It was also very easy to communicate between our other vendors and The Monroe. They made us feel special, and we didn't have to stress about anything with set-up and take-down. The only thing that could be improved is how long you get the space. It's a small window without having to pay for extra time. With no other events going on that weekend, it'd make sense to get the space for more than we did (6 hours for event plus 5 hours for set-up and 1 hour for take-down). Overall, I still highly recommend this venue!

re were three different people in the manager role throughout our year of wedding planning, but they always seemed to know exactly what was going on so it was never an issue. The day went by seamlessly, and everyone was so easy to work with!
The only downfall with this venue is the time that you are allowed to have the venue. They are very strict about how much time you are alloted for set up, ceremony, and reception. We were not able to get into the venue until 11:30 the day of the wedding, and had to end our ceremony by 10:30. It made set up and tear down a bit stressful, but it ended up working out just fine!

We loved the Monroe! The managers we had over the past year helped a lot with answering questions and made the overall process seamless. The venue is so elegant and well kept too!
