The Moveable Feast Catering

I would highly recommend Moveable Feast! We did a tasting at their location in Manchester, which was a great date, and we left excited about our meal choices. They did the layout for our venue and coordinated renting linens and chairs, so we didn't need to worry about coordinating those ourselves. Moveable Feast is very accommodating of dietary restrictions, even providing special salads and desserts for our gluten free guests. They ask about allergies and make sure to avoid contamination in the kitchen. The portions were large, and we got lots of compliments on the food! Sherry, the general manager, is great at her job. After meeting her at our tasting, we felt confident trusting her with our wedding, which is super important. She was very patient with meal/guest counts changing in the month leading up to the wedding and always responsive. The supervisor, Nancy, was great the day of our wedding. She set aside appetizers so we could try them, and covered and boxed up our meals for us to take home.

I would absolutely recommend using Moveable Feast for wedding catering. Their services were affordable compared to other caterers we looked at, and they went above and beyond to help us plan the perfect meal for our reception. Our rep, Sherry, was wonderful to work with and accommodated all of the many changes we needed to make as the date got closer and the details became clearer. She also helped with creating our floor plans, and MF staff helped to set up tables and chairs on the day. Plus the food was so yummy! We got appetizers, dinner, alcohol, and desserts all through MF, and all of it was excellent. They provided lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options, which was important to us. Our guests had wonderful things to say about the food. We are so thankful we booked Moveable Feast!

Moveable Feast was amazing to work with and the dood was great! They made the whole process very easy. The day of they were super flexible and had a plan in place when we had to move around some of our timeline due to rain. We are so grateful for them. Highly recommend!

Amazing is the only word to describe them. I was worried i wasn't going to get the same type of service that my friends got using an all inclusive venue... but i think ours was better! locally sourced food, personalized menu, and our point person for the night kept checking in with us to make sure we didn't need anything! we have zero complaints and our guests still talk about the food!

Absolutely perfect! The planning process was so easy, thanks to Sherry. They were able to accommodate everything that we wanted for our wedding day, from a hot beverage station during the ceremony to having serving dishes and utensils for our roasted pig. All of the food that was served was AMAZING. And the staff we had the night of the wedding were all excellent. As the bride and groom, they made sure we never had to worry about having food or drinks throughout the entire night. Would 100% book them again if we ever need a caterer again!

They do it ALL! My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Sherry and she was the best!!!! She was so timely with my emails and calls, created a timeline for our big day, and actually came out to the venue site to make sure they had a set-up plan! Above and beyond care, compassion, and the food was incredible!! All our guests loved it!

We used The Moveable Feast for our wedding in January 2021. Planning was easy with Sherry and she was very flexible with our pandemic planning. The food itself was absolutely amazing - definitely the best food I've ever had at a wedding, and I've had multiple guests reach out to me to not only compliment the food, but to ask who we used so that they can pass the info on to others looking for caterers. We did the heavy appetizer option and felt that the pricing was unbeatable, and it was so hard to choose the foods because they all sounded so wonderful. We also used their desserts and everything was great, we especially loved the attention to detail on the sugar cookies. I also loved that "A Moveable Feast" is an Ernest Hemingway book, since we had a literary themed wedding, and visited Ernest Hemingway's home on our honeymoon! I would use The Moveable Feast over and over again.

What an amazing experience! Sherry was the answer to our prayers! Her guidance and experience were so appreciated in planning a wedding safely in 2020! And execution of the plan on the wedding day - flawless! Sherry and her team were top notch. Professional, friendly and focused on ensuring a positive experience for our guests. The food was absolutely delicious and all guests were served promptly. We received so many compliments. (and recipe requests 🙂) Overall, The Moveable Feast Catering Company exceeded our expectations and are highly recommended.

The food & service at our daughters wedding reception was OUTSTANDING. The appetizers were amazing and plated dinners were served fast and delicious. Sherry P. Was outstanding to work with planning our event, she offered us several helpful hints we incorporated into our event. Nancy was on-site the day of our event and kept everything running smoothly including all of the cleanup (really appreciated that at the end of a long day). The wait staff was well trained and very professional and friendly - they all were really hustling to get everyone served. Sherry is nothing short of amazing when it comes to planning perfect events with delicious food. She had all kinds of great ideas and creative ways to stretch our budget and give us exactly what we wanted. She was highly responsive to every email (and trust me, there were a lot!), and was always so polite and cheery! We met a few times prior to our wedding and she took detailed notes and eased any concerns I had. I absolutely loved working with her! Michelle and the team of waitstaff that worked our event were top notch. They were highly professional, hard-working, polite and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were well taken care of. Our guests LOVED the food and gave us so many compliments on the delicious and over-the-top menu, which was completely gluten free! Hiring The Moveable Feast was one of the best decisions we made. They took care of all of the nitty gritty details right down to lighting the candles. We highly recommend them and will always reach out to them for our catering needs.

The Moveable Feast was absolutely amazing to work with. They were incredibly flexible and accommodating; they traveled an hour to our venue on multiple occasions to figure out how to make a plated dinner work for us (the venue did not have an on-site kitchen). On the day of our wedding, the catering manager was so kind and attentive, and really made us feel special. And the food is out of this world! We had guests approach us all night long raving about both the appetizers and plated meals. Thank you-Sherry, Dan, and your whole team--for being so kind and providing such great service. Hiring The Moveable Feast was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Guests are still mentioning the quality of the food and Misty and her staff were on top of every detail. When we were running low on wine, they made sure to set aside what I was drinking which was a very appreciated gesture. Misty was always quick to respond to my emails and was extremely thorough with every detail. I would recommend them for every bride looking for quality food at reasonable prices.

The Moveable Feast went above and beyond for my wedding! Everyone loved the food, and raved about the service. The drinks were also strong as hell which was a needed from the stress of the day. I couldn't have chose a better caterer.

All of our food from Moveable Feast was AMAZING!!!! So many of our guests told us afterwards that they loved the food and especially loved the cauliflower. Misty, the booking manager/coordinator is incredibly helpful and honest, and responsive. Everything went great at our wedding, and I couldn't be happier that we had such great food from Moveable Feast!

The Moveable Feast catered our wedding over Labor Day weekend and did an absolutely outstanding service. We planned our wedding from out of state and Misty made the planning so easy! She coordinated for both of our parents to come taste the food and was very responsive and easy to reach. All of our guests loved the food and many of them made a point to come tell us how impressed they were with the food, saying they’ve never had or expected such good food at a wedding. All of the staff was extremely professional and self-sufficient at the wedding and Taylor did more than we could have asked for. We cannot give high enough praise to the wonderful folks at The Moveable Feast.

I seriously could not have done my wedding without Misty and her group at the Moveable Feast!! She was so wonderful to work with, the food was delicious and the staff was so attentive. I cannot recommend them enough. If we ever need anything catered, they will be the first (and only) caterer we call.

Working with The Moveable Feast was the best decision we made for our wedding day. They coordinated rentals, setup, and teardown in addition to the food, and they were able to work within our budget and within the constraints of our vendors and venue. Everything went off without a hitch, and the food was DELISH. We worked with Misty Rose during the planning process. She was wonderful - she was not shy about making recommendations while at the same time listening to us and respecting our choices. She has many years of experience planning weddings, and it showed in her preparation and attention to detail! The staff on the day of was also incredible. Tiny acts like leaving a plate of appetizers at the head table, making dinner plates for my husband and I, and packing up the leftovers for us demonstrated the level of thought and care that went into the work. The staff on the day-of, including supervisors Stina and Michelle, were also phenomenal. I would work with The Moveable Feast again in a heartbeat because of the quality of their work, their affordability, their kindness, and their attention to detail.

We very much enjoyed working with The Moveable Feast as we planned our wedding. Sherry was extremely flexible, answered all of our questions, and completely customized our menu. Everything we tasted was fantastic, and was just as good the day of the wedding. We were expecting there to be leftovers, and somehow there were none even when we had a few guests no-show. But otherwise everything was exactly as we expected. Many of our guests raved about the food and the service! The Moveable Feast even took a family cake recipe and used it to make our wedding cake, which was amazing and saved us from having to hire another vendor. We didn't have time to test out the appetizers during happy hour, but when we got to our sweetheart table, they had prepared a plate for us, so we got to enjoy in between toasts! We would absolutely recommend The Moveable Feast!

The Moveable Feast catered our wedding on 8/4/18, including our cake and desserts. We worked with Misty Rose during the planning process and had a separate supervisor for the day of, whose name escapes me so I feel bad (it was a hectic day!). We are SO HAPPY with how everything turned out and we highly recommend Moveable Feast. Everyone we worked with was kind, caring, responsive, and attentive. They accommodated several requests, including special cake decor and specific desserts we wanted (they made us purple french lavender flavored macarons and they were a huge hit!). The dinner itself was absolutely delicious and the staff on-site we so kind and helpful. Our guests raved about the food and desserts. We're so thankful for The Moveable Feast!

Sherry, Nancy, and the rest of the Moveable Feast staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. Sherry and Nancy attended the site visit with us and asked thoughtful questions to help ensure the day went smoothly. Sherry was very flexible and even allowed us to pick up the linens a day early in order to get our centerpieces set up in time. We received a lot of compliments on the food and service as well. Working with The Moveable Feast was excellent. Sherry was detailed and thoughtful through the quote and booking process, and helped us find ways to cut costs. They were extremely flexible with our personal touches and requests, and they were clear about what they weren't able to do. The best part was the wedding day and the days leading up to it. We had our ~120 person wedding at home, on our parents' property in the woods. They visited the site several times to plan and prepare for placement of food stations, work stations, tents, trucks, lights, everything. They were more than willing to accommodate changes and requests, but didn't need to be micromanaged. If I wanted something a certain way, it was easy to ask for- if not, I knew I didn't have to worry about it. On the day of, they were very much our "venue" support staff. Hosting the reception at home, we didn't expect to have the luxury of being able to ask someone to help find an extra chair, put the walls on the tent, etc- but they were there. There was a small problem with our lights and they were on it before I even asked. They made our home feel like a professional wedding venue. Also, our guests RAVED about the food. We were too nervous to eat it, but it sure was great at the tasting ;)

Let me tell you this place is top notch, Sherry wow!!! This place is honestly the best place to get food. I know you are suppose to look around to see, but to be honest spoke 1 time with Sherry on the phone and it was a done, I didn't want to look at any other vendor. They are special, and I would highly recommend them for any event <3

I cannot say enough about this catering company, from the first phone call, to the taste testing, to the many questions prior to the reception, to the day of the reception, every step of the may so very helpful. The setup was beautiful, the food was absolutely amazing and the staff was wonderful. We had everyone comment on the wonderful food. I would highly recommend this catering company.

I am so happy we hired The Moveable Feast for our event. One of the main perks was we were able to hire them for catering, but also for rentals we needed (tables, chairs, full place settings, etc). I would have never thought about needing salt and pepper shakers for every table. Misty was very organized and detailed. I was able to reach out to her whenever and she was always willing to give her advice. I enjoyed working with her. The other reason we immediately hired them was they have ovens in their vans to finish cooking the food on site. We were able to customize the menu specifically to our needs and Misty helped us get it to an affordable price, but also everything we wanted.

I cannot recommend the Moveable Feast highly enough! Misty was wonderful to work with. She helped us set up a tasting and answered all of our questions- which were a lot those last few weeks- leading up to the wedding. They were very accommodating of our budget and just overall wonderful people to work with!

I had remembered this caterer from 20 years prior, at an event in Ann Arbor. It was memorable then, and I' m so glad we had The Moveable Feast cater our wedding. Everything was impeccable. The service , to the presentation, to the outstanding food! WE particularly loved the professionalism. We had a lot of foodies at the wedding, and they are still raving about the food. The strolling dinner, with the action stations, turned out exactly how I had envisioned the service to be!! We loved the wedding cake that you prepared for us! And we are looking forward to using you again, as are many of our guests!! We wish we had had more time to eat that day!!

Moveable Feast catered our wedding at the University of Michigan Museum of Art. Misty was so nice and helpful in helping us decide our menu, making great menu suggestions while also being very flexible and accommodating with our special requests. The food and cake were delicious, and the service was impeccable! Their knowledge of the space was also invaluable, since the museum restrictions can make it a tricky venue to manage; they took on a lot more than your average caterer, setting up our ceremony space as well and quickly flipping it for dinner. They handled it all flawlessly and we can't thank them enough for making sure our big day went off without a hitch.

We feel so blessed to have been recommended the Moveable Feast! We had close to 200 guests and a plated meal, our guests raved about the delicious food. Misty was a dream to work with and helped smooth over last minute details that could have been stressful. So grateful for their expertise!

We have received so many compliments about the Moveable Feast catering our wedding. The staff at our venue told us how on top of everything they were, our wedding guests loved the food and appetizers, and they did a wonderful job bartending our wedding. We worked with Misty throughout the planning process and she couldn't have been a bigger help. She thought of the smallest of details and I couldn't have been in better hands. Our venue was not the easiest either (no flames were allowed, the only way in was walking up steep ramps), but the Moveable Feast was able to cook everything onsite and bring all the meals in. This was a perfect decision. Our moveable feast wedding planner, Misty, was incredible. She answered every annoying question I had, and did so kindly and quickly. I contacted Dan from Moveable feast because he was one of only 10 caterers that my venue would allow. He was the only one willing to work with our budget and goals (we wanted non-wedding food like pad thai). He was willing to try new recipes and mix in other things that he had done before. His staff was also very professional and willing to help out. They washed silverware quickly to provide us with a knife to cut our cupcake, found containers for us to take leftovers home in, and overall were wonderful. I cant say enough good things about this service! P.S. Dan's hummus is to die for

Working with The Moveable Feast was a great experience. They were very helpful in being able to coordinate not only our food, but our drinks, desserts and all chair and table rentals. Going through them for the majority of our wedding services made organizing much easier. They were extermely helpful in helping us plan and organize as well. They worked with us and made it easy for us to make changes and suggestions, and even agreed to do some special requests for us with our event organization. They were on time and very organized in setting up and breaking down. All of their services were great, and the food all around was fantastic.

I can't express how important the caterer is when it comes to planning a wedding. They can make or break your big day. Dan and the Moveable Feast staff were easy to communicate with, professional and did a fantastic job for the wedding. They had great suggestions which made the sit down dinner go without a glitch. Moveable Feast Catering catered my summer backyard wedding in Michigan. When we first started meeting with them about nine months before the wedding, Kimberly was my representative. She was incredibly helpful and drove 45+ minutes to our house (the site of the wedding) to survey the property and give suggestions before we had even officially booked with them. Needless to say, we did! They were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the process--even when Kimberly quit working there to stay home with her new child. My next rep, Dan, was no different. He was also incredibly helpful and really devoted himself to making sure every detail of my wedding was perfectly planned out. And did I mention the food? It was amazing. Since my husband is Half-Mexican and I am Half-Vietnamese, we decided to provide guests with three "serving stations," one Asian, one Mexican and one American. The food was absolutely delicious, and the chef's even took my dad's suggestions on making the perfect mini-Bahn Mi. Each station even had cute decorations to match the themes! The bartenders also did a great job making sure everyone was having a good time, and preparing our signature drink, which was a Watermelon Mojito. We also used Cheryl, their pastry chef, for our cake. Both my husband and I were really not that excited about the cake (we're more in to savory snacks), but that all changed when we got to taste it. It was beautiful and absolutely delicious. If there's one thing we regret about our wedding it's that we didn't get to eat all three layers of it! All in all, Moveable Feast brought my Pinterest dreams to life, and selecting them was one of the best decisions I made.

Very helpful in long distance planning. They also had tent, chair, table, etc. rentals available. They were very flexible with all of the changes and were able to work with my slightly difficult mother who was much fussier than we were. The food looked and tasted fantastic. The service was excellent - especially when it started to rain and the poor servers had to run back and forth through the rain! Super helpful, very professional, not the cheapest option but you get more than what you'd pay the same for at another company! Not your everyday wedding food.

We absolutely loved our food!!! Everyone enjoyed it so thoroughly and I have to say Dan and his team helped so much with the overall planning and made it fun and not overwhelming. They definitely won MVP for the day. I also heard my family say that all of the staff was so nice. Can't say enough good about them!

Dan and Laura were great to work with. They were very responsive with emails. They do not charge for a tasting which was really nice. They were the only company we tried and they did amazing work. They set up our decorations and tables for us and helped with take down. Everything we asked for assistance on they helped. Our guests loved the food and were impressed that the appetizers never ran out. They also did not just pile what was left on a tray onto the fresh tray. They put out a completely fresh tray of appetizers. They brought down appetizers for the wedding party and allowed us to have to go boxes so we could enjoy our food for a few more days after the wedding :) We were able to make payments throughout the year so that our bill was paid off before the wedding. Huge deal, since we paid for it ourselves.

We were married in an empty barn in the middle of rural Indiana, so finding a dependable caterer who could also help with all of our rentals was key. Dan & his staff went above and beyond to give us the wedding we were envisioning. I just can't say enough about The Moveable Feast - our food was truly delectable, the staff knew (& met) our needs before we even realized them, and thanks to Dan, all of the rental logistics worked out perfectly. Going with The Moveable Feast was by far the best decision we made.
