There are not enough good things to say about the Nantucket Hotel!!!
Cara and Makenzie were incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. They were able to answer all my questions throughout my year of planning, provide their expertise when needed, help curate the perfect timeline, and mostly importantly were able to understand what we wanted.
Our wedding was incredible thanks to the amazing team at the Hotel!! The transportation we booked through the hotel was perfect, driving us around the island with the best vibes. The venue itself is stunning and the cocktail hour space/reception area setup was done even better than I could have envisioned. We received so many compliments about the food, mostly that it was the best wedding food that our guest have ever had. The entire event ran seamlessly. I think most importantly was that every single person we interacted with at the Hotel throughout the entire weekend were the nicest people ever, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, truly they made the event!! 11/10 recommendation
We downsized our 150 person wedding to 20 people and in the process picked an entirely new venue... because, well, COVID, amirite?! Truthfully, we had the wedding of our dreams at the The Nantucket Hotel this September and would not change a single thing. The food, rooms, and hospitality were unmatched.
We just hosted our wedding at The Nantucket Hotel and I can’t sing their praises enough. Jamie and Rachel were excellent to work with throughout the entire planning process. No if, ands, or buts, just “OKs” and “no problems”. It made the pre-wedding “work” a breeze.
On the day of the wedding, they made sure every detail was perfectly in order. As a bride who didn’t belabor the day with details, I was very happy to have the Nantucket team taking care of my friends and family. From the antique bus/fire engine transportation to the beach for our ceremony, to the flawless execution of our patio happy hour (appetizers and passed drinks were spot on!!), to the lobster and steak dinner in the ballroom. It really was a beautiful performance by the entire staff and I can’t thank them enough for making our day extra special. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride and groom looking for an amazing wedding experience on Nantucket. Especially if you are looking for an easy, seamless experience that doesn’t require you to lose focus on what’s important, spending time with your guests.
Any questions?
I could not recommend The Nantucket Hotel more enthusiastically as a wedding venue. It is as first class a property as you'll find anywhere, but what truly sets this place apart is the people. The service we received from everyone was something I cannot adequately put into words.
Rachel, Michael, Sharon and Jamie, to name just a few, treated us like family. Whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted, always with a smile. My wife got ready at a house her family had rented for the weekend that did not have a large full length mirror.... so the hotel packed one into a van, brought it over, and left it there to be used for more than 24 hours.
When we had our tasting, Michael was adamant that whatever we wanted, they can make it, even if we don't see it on their list .... and they knocked it out of the park. People raved about the food in general, and do not get me started on the late night bites (HIGHLY recommend doing this, btw, you and your guests will very much appreciate it when they roll out these trays at midnight). People still mention the grilled cheeses and sliders to me now, 8 months later. The passed appetizers, the main course, dessert, and the signature cocktails created for the event were all incredibly done.
Jamie, the GM, oversaw and coordinated everything to perfection. They supplied transportation to our welcome dinner Thursday night, and our post wedding send off at Cisco Brewery without question. Everything was thought of. There was never a stressful moment during the entire weekend, which we cannot thank them enough for. We had total peace of mind b/c the Nantucket Hotel handled everything.
When we left on Monday, smiles were plastered on our faces and there were hugs all around for all. Everyone from wait staff to bartenders to cleaning personnel treated us with such affection and kindness.
I could go on and on. I have not even mentioned the suite we stayed in that is without doubt the best hotel room on the island. Absolutely reach out to them if you're planning your event on Nantucket - I have no doubt you will end up going with them once you speak to them. And I have no doubt you will be writing a glowing review yourself, once it is over.
My husband and I had our dream wedding at the Nantucket Hotel & Resort and all of our guests had a wonderful time. The rooms and suites are perfect for the stay and I even got a massage the morning of the wedding followed by a steam in the gym. Rachel was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and we were able to make menu accomodations for my gluten allergy. The venue is large and perfect for a band, a photo booth or whatever else you want to bring in. We had plenty of dancing space and more than enough food. We did have a couple wedding crashers, but hey, what are you going to do? Let them eat cake...Would highly recommend this venue and the hardworking staff!!
We had our wedding at The Nantucket Hotel in mid-September of 2018 and cannot say enough positive things about our experience. Rachel and the event staff executed everything from our initial inquiry, to the tasting, through our wedding weekend, with professionalism and an exceptional attention to detail. If it weren't for their help and organization we would not have been able to pull off our dream wedding in 9 months! The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated through our whole stay and many guests commented on how professional and perfect the staff was- they helped make the party! We truly felt like honored guests and every need was met. The best part of The Nantucket Hotel is that they have a back-up indoor option for the ceremony, in case the infamous Grey Lady weather sets in. We decided to get married at Brant Point lighthouse, but it was a huge sense of relief knowing that we could host the ceremony in the ballroom if the weather didn't cooperate. The event staff helped us coordinate with the Coast Guard to get married at Brant Point and the hotel staff helped set up chairs for the ceremony. After the ceremony, we paraded up Easton Street and used the atrium area for the cocktail hour. The ballroom was the perfect space for dinner and dancing, where 145 guests fit perfectly. The ballroom space has separate bathrooms and a bar set-up, which was perfect... and air conditioning! All of our vendors, including our wedding planner (Nantucket Island Events), band (Sultans of Swing) and florist (Sweet Melissa) loved working with the team at the hotel and appreciated how easy they made everything, from set-up to breakdown. One suggestion I would make is to have fun with the menu and the bar packages - there are a lot of different options to consider, but Rachel and team love to get creative, so take advantage. You do have to rent the 6 rooms closest to the ballroom in the wedding contract, but it was a perfect location for family and guests. Jamie (the hotel GM) went over the top to make us feel special. He understood the stress of a wedding weekend and spoiled us on numerous occasions. Staying at the hotel has many great perks, like two pools, a hot tub, a workout area, a yoga room (which they allowed us to use for a private class the morning-of) and areas to hang out with friends and family. It's central location in town allowed us to see a lot of our wedding guests throughout the weekend. We really can't say enough about our wedding at The Nantucket Hotel and we are so thankful to the team there for helping us execute the wedding of our dreams. They will forever be family to us and look forward to seeing them again when we're back on island!
Shortly after our engagement, we looked at the Nantucket Hotel as a possible venue. Even though we didn’t schedule an appointment, we were greeted warmly and were able to get a tour of the hotel. We felt incredibly welcomed from the very beginning! It was an easy decision for us to have our wedding here. Rachel, Jamie, Michael, and the entire staff were warm, accommodating, and patient with our planning process. Rachel, the venue coordinator, often answered out calls and addressed our questions as if we were the only clients of the hotel. She met with us often, answered all of our questions, and helped us turn our vision into reality. We were married on October 6, 2018 and our wedding day was completely stress-free! We had wonderful service from the hotel personnel. The venue space looked exactly the way we envisioned it, despite having many small details that needed to be put in place. Michael, the F&B manager, and his staff created an amazing wedding menu that catered to our preferences. They delivered dinner with an amazingly quick service. The food was hot and delicious. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be, thanks to everyone at the Nantucket Hotel. We are forever thankful for the hotel staff who made our wedding such a memorable event with outstanding service. We would do it again in a heartbeat! We cannot wait to return to the hotel and relive our wedding weekend.
My husband and I were married on Nantucket in April 2018 and we held our reception at The Nantucket Hotel. My family as well as my husband's could not have been more pleased with our experience there. We felt so special having all our guests and family staying with us at the hotel; the wedding seemed to extend well beyond the reception itself - which wonderful!!
I cannot say enough about the entire staff at The Nantucket Hotel. They were a pleasure to work with in the lead up to our wedding, but then they went far above and beyond in taking care of us throughout the weekend. The entire team was so warm and caring, which really made it a wonderful experience for us.
Prior to our wedding, some friends and family grumbled about traveling via car, ferry etc for our wedding because they were unfamiliar with Nantucket. By the time our wedding weekend wrapped up, we heard enumerable compliments that our guests have not had that much fun in decades!
We will always have great affection for The Nantucket Hotel and we can't wait to one day show our children what a special experience it is there, so that they too appreciate all the charms of Nantucket.
After staying at the Nantucket hotel for a vacation My husband and I decided to get married there in October 2018. We had our ceremony and reception at the hotel. The entire staff was extremely helpful and made us feel special the entire weekend, not only during our wedding! Rachel the event planner at the hotel was super helpful and very responsive. She helped us make our day special while staying within budget. On our wedding day, the entire staff was amazing setting up the ceremony and flipping the room within an hour to be ready for our party! We heard soo many amazing compliments from our guests that the food was amazing. They kept noting that it was not only really good for wedding food, it was just an amazing meal! It was almost difficult for us to chose a menu because it was all so delicious! I highly recommend the Nantucket hotel for any event, you will not regret it!
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Nantucket Hotel on September 8, 2018 and we couldn’t have chose a more perfect venue.
Nantucket is a special place for us, and we knew we needed to get married there, we just didn’t know where. We looked around at many venues, but the second we walked in the door at the Nantucket Hotel, we knew we found the perfect place. We were greeted by genuinely nice staff members the second we arrived. The owner was even there and was so welcoming. The N doesn’t have your typical stuffy, carpeted ballroom, hotel feel. The decor is upscale, Nantucket charm at its finest. The ballroom is stunning, with wood floors throughout, a large dance floor, and stage for a band. We had about 160 people at our wedding and the ballroom accomodated our guests wonderfully.
Rachel was our event planner at the N from the start and was such a pleasure to work with. She was very organized, responsive, and accommodating to our needs. We didn’t hire an outside wedding planner, as we wanted to do everything ourselves. The hotel was a huge help to us from beginning to end, and executed our plan flawlessly. Rachel helped bring our dream wedding to life. It was truly perfect. She also worked very well with all of my vendors (florist, photographer, etc).
Michael, the F&B Manager, was also amazing. We were very picky about our food and drink selections, and he was so patient and accommodating. Our guests were raving about how good the food and drinks were.
We could go on for days, raving about our experience at The Nantucket Hotel. We had the best weekend of our lives, and our guests said our wedding was one of the best they had ever been to. Rachel, Michael, Jamie, and the entire N staff were incredible. We wish we could press the repeat button.
Every time we come back to Nantucket, we make sure to stop at the N to relive the magic of our wedding night and say hello to the wonderful staff that helped make our day unforgettable.
My wife and I got married on Nantucket in April 2017 and had our reception at The Nantucket Hotel. We had been planning our wedding for over 2 years and were anxious to see how everything would come together. First off, Rachel Dodson (the events/wedding manager) was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was accommodating, flexible, worked within our budget, and helped us pull off what many of our guests are considering "the best wedding they've ever been to." The hotel staff, led by General Manager Jamie Holmes, provided industry leading hospitality, accommodating our guests and their every need. In many instances, they shuttled our family and friends around the island on short notice and all the while, would give them a personal tour sharing fun facts about the history and culture of Nantucket. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch. The Nantucket Hotel shuttled all 145 of our guests to and from the church. Rachel and Food and Beverage Director, Michael Blaksteen, setup the cocktail hour and ballroom better than we ever anticipated. The waitstaff kept passing hors d'oeuvres in bountiful fashion as we hoped. The service of our main meal was incredible as servers began placing dinners just 10-15 minutes into the reception. The morning after, our guests kept telling us how beautiful the rooms were and how The Nantucket Hotel staff treated them "like family." My wife and I would recommend The Nantucket Hotel to anyone - whether it be for a wedding or a casual weekend get away. It will be one of, if not, the best hotel experiences you've ever had.
I couldn't have dreamt of a better place to host our 120 guest wedding than the Nantucket Hotel. It was the perfect in town location where the party could go all night. The planning was so easy and we completely felt like royalty the way the entire staff treated us. The ballroom was beautiful and the food amazing. The staff still remembers us several years later...such a nice personal touch. To this day our guests comment about how beautiful the venue was.
We hosted 150 guests at the Nantucket Hotel for our wedding in October and could not have more positive things to say about the experience, staff, decor, food, amenities, the list goes on! We planned our wedding from California and in 8 months, and relied heavily on clear communication with Rachel, Jamie, and the entire crew. I shipped everything (truly everything) from the west coast, Boston, New York, or from somewhere on Esty and all showed up on time, and was received (including the cake!). Everything went perfectly as planned, and we appreciate all the hard work that went into the event. Our guests continue to talk about how much they loved our wedding weekend and how they want to come back to Nantucket to experience more!!
I could not have dreamed of a more perfect wedding day! The staff at The Nantucket Hotel went above and beyond to make sure our experience was top notch…and it was! Everyone was willing to lend a helping hand, and they did so with a smile on their face. We have received so many compliments on the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere…All made possible by The Nantucket Hotel. I could not have imagined having our wedding anywhere else. John and I did not want to leave The Point, the Hotel, and the experience behind, but I know we will be back to relive the moment and make more memories.
My husband and I got married at The Nantucket Hotel in December 2016. Yes.... December on Nantucket and I would do it all over again. First of all, the planning was seamless. I live on the South Shore of MA and visited just a few times to specifically plan the wedding but it was incredibly easy via email and the phone as well. The staff of the hotel is incredibly accommodating and was open to any ideas, thoughts or questions that I had. Super easy to mix and match things for the tasting and try a wide variety of options even if it wasn't specifically on the menu. The wedding weekend itself was amazing. We virtually had the hotel to ourselves and the all around experience was perfect. My guests were treated like royalty from start to finish beginning with being picked up at all hours from the various ferries courtesy of the hotel. One of my guests had a medical emergency right before the wedding and couldn't attend and the hotel honored her reservation several months later. You just don't get that anywhere else. One of the staff even steamed my dress for two hours out of the goodness of her heart. I never asked and it wasn't even planned and yet it wasn't a problem. We had our ceremony in the main ball room and an incredible and festive cocktail hour in the Breeze while the ballroom was converted for the reception. I worried about nothing and didn't get involved in the least! The decor was exactly as I wanted it to be from top to bottom and my vision executed perfectly. As for the meal and food the service through out the evening were exceptional. I didn't so much as a move a muscle in my chair when the staff was picking up my napkin, helping me fix my very big dress and refilling my water and champagne. If you want a perfect, seamless, five star experience then look no further. If you are a bridezilla then check it at the door because there is no need when dealing with such an amazing event staff!
I also used David Handy Events for planning and decor, Flowers on Chestnut, Runaway Bride for photography and Pettitcoat Row Bakery for the cake and dessert bar. These vendors work together every day and I highly recommend going with they suggest and how they suggest executing what you are thinking.
To this day, the staff sees us and my family and remembers us all by name and says what a great night we had and how cool it was to see a Christmas wedding on Nantucket. If you want a perfect weekend look no further.
The Nantucket Hotel has it all.
