The Oaks at Salem

The Oaks was such an incredible venue to get married! We had our wedding at the Oaks in March 2022 and they ensured that everything was perfect and beautiful. From booking, they made wedding planning fun and easy by having such a wonderful space. The venue had plenty of room and there are multiple ceremony space options. The Oaks helps guide you during wedding planning by providing a preferred vendor list comprised of highly rated vendors. The entire day was perfect and we could not have asked for a better venue/people to work with.

TOAS is a wonderful wedding venue. I got married here in September 2021 and couldn’t have asked for anything better. The venue has abundant outdoor space with the new overlook patio and gorgeous ceremony site. The bridal suite was large enough to host me and 10 bridesmaids. Aubriana coordinated our wedding and was outstanding!! She was knowledgeable and responded to any questions immediately. On the day of the wedding, she was constantly by our side to help with anything we needed including bustling my dress and making sure we had some time to rest and eat. I can’t say enough great things about Aubriana and TOAS.

Our daughter was married at The Oaks and it could not have been more perfect. The venue is gorgeous with a path that starts at the reception area and winds along the edge of a pond leading to the beautiful ceremony site. The venue coordinator was the best, making sure everything happened as planned. If you are searching for a magical place to create a lifelong memory, I highly recommend The Oaks at Salem. A 6 out of 5 stars.

The venue is gorgeous and our wedding day was just perfect. Aubriana was extremely helpful from the moment we booked to the night of the wedding. We had to reschedule twice for covid which was a huge pain. We would have taken a refund had it been offered-which is why I only give 4 stars. However, the day was perfect and I do highly recommend this venue. They're professionalism is what hooked me from the beginning.

The Oaks at Salem is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue. As a professional violinist, I have been performing at weddings here for over a decade, and I can say that the property is always impeccable, and the staff is top notch. April and her staff are focused on giving their best, and go above and beyond to make their couple’s dreams come true. Having performed at many places, it is rare to find a venue like the Oaks at Salem that is both beautiful (oh my gosh, it’s so picturesque!), and provides excellent service. My team and I highly recommend it for any event!

Could not have asked for a better wedding venue!! They have worked with us every step of the way during our two year engagement! When COVID-19 threatened to cancel our plans, Aubriana and April worked with us to come up with the best plan for us! They are the perfect touch of professional and personal. Aubriana is responsive, organized, super sweet! We highly recommend The Oaks at Salem!

Almost two months later and I am still so elated and grateful to the owner of this venue and our coordinator, Aubi, for their professionalism and attention to detail, in making my daughter’s wedding the day of her dreams! They listened, we discussed, they answered questions in a timely manner leading up to and after our vendor meeting 6 weeks prior to the wedding. After that meeting we knew Aubi “was on it” as my daughter said, and we were thrilled with the execution of the whole day! Many thanks to April and Aubi for making our wedding dream come true!

The Oaks is a hidden gem in Apex! We worked with several staff members, but primarily with April (owner) and Aubriana (coordinator). The grounds and house are stunning! Both of our families are not native to North Carolina, so the majority of our guests were flying into RDU, it was important to us to secure a location near plenty of things to do, and be in a reasonable distance to the airport. The Oaks at Salem's "vendor marketplace" was incredibly helpful to us as we began planning. They had tons of vendor information right within the marketplace. You don't need to pick all of your vendors from their preferred list, but I recommend that you do...they're all great, and are familiar with the property and policies. Aubriana did an awesome job! Months leading up to our day, there were many emails being sent back and forth, and she answered each one in record time. On our wedding day, the forecast was a bit worrisome, Aubriana was flexible with making some decisions on whether or not we needed to move the ceremony under the tent, thankfully, the weather did cooperate, and we had a beautiful ceremony outside. At the reception, if anything did go wrong, neither myself or my husband new about it! We can't thank Aubriana and The Oaks staff enough for such an unforgettable day! We highly recommend The Oaks at Salem!

The Oaks At Salem is a beautiful venue! They definitely run a tight ship there and everything went so smoothly on our wedding day. I worked with Aubriana (coordinator) and April (owner) personally and they were so responsive and organized through this whole thing. Wish we could relive this day over and over again.

The Oaks at Salem was hands-down the best venue we could’ve asked for! My husband and I toured ten separate wedding venues in two states and no one had half as much to offer (for an affordable price) like the Oaks. It is a beautiful venue and they really take care of EVERYTHING so you don’t have anything to worry about on your day. The bridal suite is gorgeous and there’s more than enough room to get ready for any sized bridal party. There’s even a vendor barn with all the preferred vendors so it makes it easier to find great additions to your wedding and a bonus that those vendors are already familiar with the venue. So many great places on the property for photos! The oaks includes a day-of coordinator and if you think you don’t need one... think again. Overall I wish I could give the Oaks 10 stars! Our wedding was so perfect and our guests are still raving about how wonderful our venue was.

We are so glad we found The Oaks at Salem. We worked directly with April (owner) and Aubriana was our wedding coordinator. Both were extremely personable and thorough. Not a single detail was missed, and everything was so organized and ran smoothly. The grounds are breathtaking and close to home! Living in Cary and having the majority of our guests flying in from around the country (as well as outside of the country), it was important to us to secure a location near plenty of things to do but within reasonable driving distance to the airport. The Oaks at Salem has a "vendor marketplace" that was incredibly helpful to us as this was the first wedding we were trying to plan. April was incredibly informative, friendly, and professional. Any questions that we had that popped up, we would email and they would get back to us usually within a few minutes! Aubriana did a phenomenal job doing day-of-coordination for our vendors as well as letting guests know where to go, etc. She and the rest of the staff really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We can't say enough about our experience at The Oaks at Salem. The property is gorgeous, and there is ample parking, with plenty of space for guests to hang out and be comfortable. It was especially helpful that the Oaks at Salem had a preferred vendor list. It made planning and working with all of our vendors so seamless. We highly recommend The Oaks at Salem for your next wedding event. We were not disappointed, and we're still receiving compliments from guests nearly 2 weeks later about this beautiful, hidden gem! April and Becky have been the absolute best! From the very beginning they are there for questions and guidance, they give you a wedding day planner that helps you during your whole wedding journey. Not once did I feel lost or ignored. Their consistent treatment and value insured our wedding to be one of the best. It even ended up raining, but the place is so beautiful the rainy day plan looked just as beautiful as if we were to have it outside. They also helped take away every possible stress off the bridal couple's shoulders so that all we needed to focus on were each other.

I had a great experience working with the women at the oaks. Romantic venue with built in day of wedding planner. My friends and family all said it was the best wedding they have ever been to.

I can't say enough amazing things about our experience with The Oaks. From our first tour to our wedding send-off, the entire process was a positive one. Not only is the venue breathtaking, but the service is unparalleled; Veni is the best wedding planner I could've asked for, bar none. I am still in awe of how easy it was for myself and my husband on our special day- everything went so smoothly it almost seemed too good to be true! I would recommend Veni and The Oaks to anyone who wants a worry-free wedding day and a gorgeous venue......which should be everyone!

The Oaks at Salem was the perfect venue for our wedding day! We were able to have the ceremony and reception all in the same location with a beautiful landscape for our big day. The Oaks has a backup plan if the weather is not cooperating and the reception looked so beautiful under the white tent. The Oaks accommodated all of our guests with valet parking and a golf cart for those who were unable to walk to the ceremony site. They have a lot of options for where to host the ceremony. Veni, our wedding coordinator, was helpful in creating the timeline for our day, coordinating the vendors, and ensuring that everything went smoothly. The only things to consider when choosing the Oaks is the rehearsal dinner times and flexibility of the venue. They have Friday night weddings so for a Saturday wedding you are only able to have your rehearsal on Friday morning or Saturday morning. We chose Friday morning, so we would not be rushed on Saturday, and were told we would have the latest time for our rehearsal. Unfortunately, we had an early rehearsal - even before the Friday night wedding party. Additionally, The Oaks hosts a number of other events so there are set times for bridal portraits and for the final venue walk through. This is something I wish I would have known ahead of time instead of after booking the venue. If you have an inflexible schedule this may be something you want to consider. All of that said, I could not have imagined a better venue for our wedding. The day was magical and everything worked out perfectly! The Oaks will always be a special place for us!

The most gorgeous wedding venue!! The price includes a wedding coordinator. Veni was our wedding coordinator, and I cannot say enough great things about her! She made sure our day ran smoothly and timely. I would HIGHLY recommend using them as a venue.

We had a 165 guest wedding ceremony and reception- it could not have gone better! Veni and her team were amazing to work with, very thorough and friendly. Having a plan B built into your wedding contract was huge for us because it rained heavily 30 minutes before our ceremony. It's a beautiful venue, inside and out. The grounds are modern but still have a rustic feel. I'm so glad we chose the Oaks at Salem. Highly recommend!

We loved our experience with The Oaks at Salem. April (the owner) was wonderful to work with and so was Veni, our day-of coordinator provided by the Oaks. They communicated efficiently and quickly throughout the entire process, were so helpful with any questions or needs that we had, and just helped make our wedding day go so smoothly. Our wedding day was so special and we definitely owe it to the Oaks!

We got married at The Oaks in June and could not have been happier with our experience. The venue itself is an amazing outdoor oasis. You have tons of acres with beautiful oak trees, large barn, gorgeous pond and overall great scenery. Upon booking we were assigned Veni as our coordinator to help us along in the planning process and on the day of. We cannot say enough great things about her. She was very attentive to detail and very easy to communicate with via email during the whole process. She was amazing on our wedding day, even with a small hiccup that occurred :) She kept everything running smoothly and truly added to what was such a great day for us! My only comment on the venue is the inability to set up personal items the day/evening before. I know the owner lives on the property and they host many different events which hinders this possibility. I think it would be great for brides to have the opportunity to set up day prior or even allow an extra hour in the timeline if there are no events scheduled/conflicts to help reduce some stress on the day of. (this would also allow more time in the amazing bridal suite :) ) Overall, this doesn't affect my opinion on the venue and I would recommend it to any bride looking for an amazing outdoor spot to have their wedding celebration! The venue is absolutely beautiful. Our day-of coordinator, Joslin, was amazing and made sure the day went smoothly, and we had nothing to worry about except enjoying the day! They gave us a list of preferred vendors which helped finding everything we needed to make the day perfect. Highly recommended. - Brandee & Lee

The Oaks at Salem were amazing. From finding them to the end of my wedding night, Veni was there to help me with every question, request and issue. She helped make sure everything ran smoothly as well as kept me calm. The venue is beautiful and definitely helped me achieve my idea of a southern garden wedding. The wedding was perfect. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

The Oaks at Salem was our wedding and reception venue. The grounds and house are immaculate and such a perfect setting for a wedding and reception or any other party needs. There were a lot of things included in the price including most chairs, most tables, some linens, a day of coordinator, use of the property for 10 hours on the day of the wedding, use of the property for engagement pictures/ bridal portraits, a bridal and grooms suite for the day of your event, free valet for your event, and a day of coordinator. That was a great bonus for me so I didn't have to get much extra. The coordinators there are FABULOUS! they will help you with anything and everything. There are a few negatives that we knew going into our event. They have a preferred vendors list to help get you started but you MUST use a caterer off of their list (they also charge caterers 10% of total food bill for a service fee which you end up paying for). The music must end by 10:30 and everyone offsite by 11 pm. They were great and I will gladly recommend them!

The Oaks at Salem staff are true professionals. They are organized, efficient, kind and they absolutely made our wedding day perfect! Veni/Joslin were so helpful throughout the process (and extremely fast to respond). We definitely couldn't have chosen a better venue to get married. The day of our wedding was so well orchestrated by them that it was a very stress free day for us. Thank you ladies so much for all of your hard work, your suggestions from day one and for just being so damn nice. I recommend anyone interested in a beautiful, classy outdoor venue with amazing organizers to get married at the Oaks at Salem. P.S. Veni – You rock!

April and Joslin are angels sent from above!!! April is the owner of the Oaks and Joslin is the coordinator for your wedding day. We met with April twice before deciding on the Oaks, but our decision was not a hard one to make. The Oaks is BEAUTIFUL. Pictures do not do it justice and it is perfect for your wedding day! I'm convinced that April is always within 5 feet of her phone b/c when you email her, you will get a response AND SOON! She's quick and always has an answer for you. Joslin and her are great with helping you picture your wedding day. With all of the planning it takes to put on a wedding, I never worried about anything with these two. To April and Joslin, THANK YOU so much for everything you did for Jake and I! We will always be recommending the Oaks!

Words cannot describe this beautiful venue and quality of service The Oaks at Salem provides. April Maness, the owner of The Oaks, was absolutely wonderful in accommodating our needs and wants and helping us throughout each and every step of our wedding plans. She always answered all of our questions and concerns in a very timely manner--we never had to wait for her response. Provided in our cost was 2 floors of the stunning home, 4000sqft white tent w/ lighting, vallet service, 200 white chairs, tables and linens for 13 tables, numerous vases and candle holders, and not to mention the most amazing staff that helped to make my wedding a dream come true. Not to mention the country barn for pictures, beautiful pond, and LARGE maple tree across the water which made for a picture perfect spot for the wedding party. If you are looking for an elegant venue (with a touch of southern country) in the Raleigh area that doesn't consist of hotels and street parking...The Oaks at Salem is the place for you! You will NOT be disappointed!! Thank you, The Oaks at Salem, for a fairytale day my husband and I will never forget!!

I got engaged in August and because my husband is a college football coach, we had two weekends we could get married; they just happen to be two of the busiest wedding weekends in June. April, the owner, responded to my initial email within about an hour. I think I can speak of behalf of other brides when I say responsiveness during the planning process is extremely important. April is the most responsive vendor I hired. The Oaks at Salem is simply breathtaking. We had quite a few children at our reception, and they just loved the lake, all the grass to run around on, and the rope swing. My husband and I even got some cute pictures on the swing. The lake provided a bit of a breeze which was wonderful on a June evening. The staff at the Oaks was great. At my brother's wedding, we had to do the clean-up ourselves, which took quite a long time. According to my mom, the staff at the Oaks had everything broken down and cleaned up shortly after my husband and I left. I know my family really appreciated that. If you're looking for a beautiful outdoor/indoor venue, please check out the Oaks at Salem. You won't regret it.
