ng items in the base price that other venues would charge extra. They also provided a list of their preferred vendors which was super helpful for planning. You do have to work with 2 specific vendors when at TOAS - Southern Skies which they are amazing and Curated Events which I personally would have preferred another company but not major complaints. PLENTY of room on the premises, never felt like our guests were overcrowded and also had lots of options for pictures. Be mindful of transportation as only certain size buses can fit in the driveway (which April includes in a wedding package) With fall/winter weddings, keep at eye on the weather as heaters may be needed but with the tent flaps closed, the heat stay very well inside. I was sweating during out Nov, 55 degree outside wedding. 100% would recommend TOAS.

We got married at The Oaks at Salem last weekend and I can not say enough wonderful things about this venue and the team behind it. If you want your wedding to go off without a hitch, book The Oaks like yesterday! It has a wonderful bridal sweet for your entire bridal party to get ready together. It has a great groom suite with a tv so the men can watch football (or whatever else) while they get ready (I may or may not have snuck down there to watch my tigers play while my crew got ready). It has so many options for great photos. It really is a wonderful, wonderful venue. I’m genuinely sad that our day is over. If I could relive it every day, I would.

ator Laura, was incredible!!!! She was so helpful, and made sure our day ran smoothly. April, the owner, was very responsive the 1000000 times I emailed her to see if I could bring someone from my family to see the venue. This venue was everything, and I am so happy the best day of my life was in the most perfect place! Thank you for everything!!!

On the day of the wedding, she was constantly by our side to help with anything we needed including bustling my dress and making sure we had some time to rest and eat. f our guests were flying into RDU, it was important to us to secure a location near plenty of things to do, and be in a reasonable distance to the airport. The Oaks at Salem's "vendor marketplace" was incredibly helpful to us as we began planning. They had tons of vendor information right within the marketplace. You don't need to pick all of your vendors from their preferred list, but I recommend that you do...they're all great, and are familiar with the property and policies. Aubriana did an awesome job! Months leading up to our day, there were many emails being sent back and forth, and she answered each one in record time. On our wedding day, the forecast was a bit worrisome, Aubriana was flexible with making some decisions on whether or not we needed to move the ceremony under the tent, thankfully, the weather did cooperate, and we had a beautiful ceremony outside. At the reception, if anything did go wrong, neither myself or my husband new about it! We can't thank Aubriana and The Oaks staff enough for such an unforgettable day! We highly recommend The Oaks at Salem!

hey really take care of EVERYTHING so you don’t have anything to worry about on your day. The bridal suite is gorgeous and there’s more than enough room to get ready for any sized bridal party. There’s even a vendor barn with all the preferred vendors so it makes it easier to find great additions to your wedding and a bonus that those vendors are already familiar with the venue. So many great places on the property for photos! The oaks includes a day-of coordinator and if you think you don’t need one... think again. Overall I wish I could give the Oaks 10 stars! Our wedding was so perfect and our guests are still raving about how wonderful our venue was.

Living in Cary and having the majority of our guests flying in from around the country (as well as outside of the country), it was important to us to secure a location near plenty of things to do but within reasonable driving distance to the airport. The Oaks at Salem has a "vendor marketplace" that was incredibly helpful to us as this was the first wedding we were trying to plan. April was incredibly informative, friendly, and professional. Any questions that we had that popped up, we would email and they would get back to us usually within a few minutes! Aubriana did a phenomenal job doing day-of-coordination for our vendors as well as letting guests know where to go, etc. She and the rest of the staff really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We can't say enough about our experience at The Oaks at Salem. The property is gorgeous, and there is ample parking, with plenty of space for guests to hang out and be comfortable. It was especially helpful that the Oaks at Salem had a preferred vendor list. It made planning and working with all of our vendors so seamless. We highly recommend The Oaks at Salem for your next wedding event. We were not disappointed, and we're still receiving compliments from guests nearly 2 weeks later about this beautiful, hidden gem! It even ended up raining, but the place is so beautiful the rainy day plan looked just as beautiful as if we were to have it outside. They also helped take away every possible stress off the bridal couple's shoulders so that all we needed to focus on were each other.

I would recommend Veni and The Oaks to anyone who wants a worry-free wedding day and a gorgeous venue......which should be everyone!

he reception looked so beautiful under the white tent. The Oaks accommodated all of our guests with valet parking and a golf cart for those who were unable to walk to the ceremony site. They have a lot of options for where to host the ceremony. Veni, our wedding coordinator, was helpful in creating the timeline for our day, coordinating the vendors, and ensuring that everything went smoothly. The only things to consider when choosing the Oaks is the rehearsal dinner times and flexibility of the venue. They have Friday night weddings so for a Saturday wedding you are only able to have your rehearsal on Friday morning or Saturday morning. We chose Friday morning, so we would not be rushed on Saturday, and were told we would have the latest time for our rehearsal. Unfortunately, we had an early rehearsal - even before the Friday night wedding party. Additionally, The Oaks hosts a number of other events so there are set times for bridal portraits and for the final venue walk through. This is something I wish I would have known ahead of time instead of after booking the venue. If you have an inflexible schedule this may be something you want to consider. All of that said, I could not have imagined a better venue for our wedding. The day was magical and everything worked out perfectly! The Oaks will always be a special place for us!

oking we were assigned Veni as our coordinator to help us along in the planning process and on the day of. We cannot say enough great things about her. She was very attentive to detail and very easy to communicate with via email during the whole process. She was amazing on our wedding day, even with a small hiccup that occurred :) She kept everything running smoothly and truly added to what was such a great day for us! My only comment on the venue is the inability to set up personal items the day/evening before. I know the owner lives on the property and they host many different events which hinders this possibility. I think it would be great for brides to have the opportunity to set up day prior or even allow an extra hour in the timeline if there are no events scheduled/conflicts to help reduce some stress on the day of. (this would also allow more time in the amazing bridal suite :) ) Overall, this doesn't affect my opinion on the venue and I would recommend it to any bride looking for an amazing outdoor spot to have their wedding celebration! Thank you Veni and April for such a great experience and memory!
