Beautiful venue, with extremely attentive staff. I had a perfect with all the help I needed. It was an easy process and they made my wedding come together just as I imagined or even better.
We got married here and were dealing with Estella the whole time. There were periods where we would call/email and not hear back (and usually hear back from someone else) for weeks. The preferred vendors that they have (MES-DJs especially) were TERRIBLE to work with. We were in the Apollo West room and while the views were beautiful and the food delicious, they were constantly disorganized, hard to contact, and did a poor job of accommodating the original contract. We won some upgraded items like the chiavari chairs and the ceremony coordinator and a few weeks before the wedding, they did not have that in the contract that we signed. Good thing we had the original contract for reference! I would not recommend for a venue.
Excellent venue with amazing view of the city. We held our wedding in the evening and the view was astonishing. The lights above the ceremony space added to the elegant ambiance. The room was setup well and the catering crew led by Tereso took really good care of my wife and I with all of our guests.
My husband and I got married in October 2017 and had our wedding at the Odyssey! Everything about the night turned out wonderful! We booked the gazebo area for our ceremony and the Apollo room for our reception. The gazebo area looked beautiful and had great lighting during the event, and we even got to use chiavari chairs for free for the ceremony because they were left over from a previous event. The Apollo room was also the perfect size for our wedding (160ish people) and the view from the windows of the valley at night was incredible (one guest even said it felt like he was floating in space). The dance floor was perfectly sized, and the tables were laid out perfectly. The restaurant also has free parking, which was a HUGE selling point for us. Having our reception and ceremony at the same place also made things transition perfectly. And then there was the food! We actually chose this place because we ate here before and it was great, and on the day of it did not disappoint. We chose to do a buffet with several options, and people were going back for seconds and thirds. Even the appetizers were great and laid out in a beautiful way. The staff was also extremely supportive throughout the process, and were more than willing to adjust things in the weeks leading up. The waiters and serving staff were professional and attentive, even bringing my husband and I food right to our table from the buffet! The package we got also included one hour of open bar, a ceremony coordinator and a wedding cake. Compared to other places, the fact that parking was free and all of that was included made it a great deal. The Odyssey is a beautiful place for a wedding, and it exceeded our expectations in every way.
Folks, from the first visit of the venue, meeting the coordinator Melissa was awesome. They were professional, honest, and informative. Our day was beautiful because of them. Thank you Melissa.
I've been trying to get ahold of someone at The Odyssey restaurant for well over a month now. I've heard so many great reviews as to how pretty this venue is for a wedding. I've sent a couple of emails, called and left messages a couple of times with no response. I don't know why, but I decided to give them one last shot and called on Wednesday. I was finally able to speak to Michelle from the catering department and she assured me that after she got out of a meeting, she would send me the wedding packages. Well it's Friday now, and I have yet to receive a phone call or email with any wedding information. I'm so glad that I'm getting a taste of how their follow up is NOW, instead of finding out after I had signed a contract with this restaurant. The lack of communication and response is unacceptable. As a bride who was just looking for information and possibly considering having my wedding there, you would think they would pay a little more attention to possible customers who are spending THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to hold an event at this establishment! Brides beware, if you're looking for a venue and you want someone responsible who actually follows up with your emails and phone calls....The Odyssey restaurant is not the place!! Thank goodneas I found out now and not when it would have been too late!!!
We loved having our wedding at The Odyssey the service was amazing and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. The view is worth it all.
Great food! Highly recommend the prime rib! Beautiful view! Great staff--especially Meredith Lloyd! We were very fortunate to have scheduled our initial consult with her---and she held our hand through the reception process. She was a huge blessing to us--helped us plan the perfect night and kept us within our budget! Definitley consider the Odyssey for your venue and be sure to make your appointment with Meredith!!
We booked the Apollo room (west & east) for our wedding reception. This is the biggest room that they have in the restaurant. The view is amazing but there is a $$$$ minimum to be able to book both the Apollo east & west rooms. If you don't reach the minimum, you can only have either the east or west room or a different room.
Before we booked Odyssey for our wedding, we attended their food tasting/expo. The food tasting event is for those who booked their event at the Odyssey. They serve the food buffet style (appetizers, salads, entree's) and event vendors also participate in the expo ( cake bakery, dj, florist, photographer, videographer). After the going to the expo we finally booked Odyssey. Susie (she used to be Odyssey's restaurant director) was very friendly. She was one of the reason why we booked this place. Since they do not serve Filet Mignon at the Expo/Food tasting, Susie suggested that we have a personal food tasting. When we had our food tasting we requested a different sauce for the steak and different accompaniments for the chicken and steak, the chef was very accommodating. We attended another food tasting expo to be able to choose our appetizers. A month before the wedding, Susie stopped answering our e-mails. I got a little worried that our Event manager is no longer with Odyssey and some of the details were missed (unlimited soda and 2 bars). In the end everything worked out and Meredith, the new Event manager handling our event was nice. She even sent us a thank you card a few weeks after the wedding. The restaurant manager on the day of our wedding did a great job! WE were taking pictures outside and they gave us drinks. They also came to our table so often asking if we need something or we want a drink. There were appetizers waiting for us at our table when we arrived at the reception. The reception was amazing and the view is breath taking. The guests loved the place. I loved that we have a really big dance floor. The food was hit and miss. Some guests loved their food and some said it's just ok. Me and my husband loved our food my only concern was I ordered a rice pilaf and not basmati rice to go with my Chicken Scalloppini. One of our guests mentioned that she loved the basmati rice and it goes well with the Chicken Scalloppini. I personally love the Portabello mushroom ravioli. We asked for a side of the ravioli and they gave us a plate of ravioli. We also requested a passed hors d'oeuvres but they serve it buffet style.
Overall I had a great wedding experience.
To begin with I've attended and hosted several events at the Odyssey and have loved everything about it. Both my sister's and my quinceanera were hosted there along wit several other family members' events. Apparently they have changed management and everything is not as great as it was before. In the past we had always dealt with Estella Segura, a great catering manager that always took care of us. This time we dealt with a Barbara, and although at first she was friendly, she was so rude because of some complications that we had to be handed off to the Catering Director for the remainder of the details. We happened to miss the tasting event and we were never rescheduled- we never got to try the food before the actual wedding! Because of the big down payment I had made I did not change the venue. More problems occurred the day of the wedding, though I didnt find out til the end. They were trying to charge for things that were included or not even offering them at all to our guests. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because of the location, the GREAT service that day by all the staff to my guests, my husband and myself. Everything just seems kind of a mess now that the management changed. They claim better efficiency and service, but I highly disagree and think that for the much higher prices they've imposed they need to go back to the great service of the past.
Planning my wedding with the Odyssey was extremley difficult. The turn over rate for the employees was very high and inconvienent. The coordinator that we ended up with was very unorganized. The planning process was more than frustrating. The servers at our wedding, however were amazing! They were very helpful and seemed happy to be there. The food was great too! The night was a huge success.
I had my wedding here and it was great. great customer service, great view, and great food.
