The barn was so spacious and had various areas inside and outside for guests to mingle and enjoy the views. We also stayed at the Inn with our bridal party which was a fantastic idea. It was so convenient to have stayed on location with our bridesmaids and groomsmen and made for an incredibly fun couple of nights. We also found a lot of our vendors through the Old Lantern which made wedding planning go a lot easier. Our guests spoke very highly of the venue as well. We had the best time on our special day and it was all thanks to the Old Lantern and our wonderful vendors!!

The bar area was great for cocktail hour, relaxed but rustic, and they had a pool table which was great for photos. From actually driving up to Vermont (we're Boston locals) to get a private tour, to attending a private dinner to taste the food & drink offerings, to having a million back and forth emails and Zoom calls to help with the planning, and finally leading up to the week and day of-everyone was spectacular and truly so helpful in this normally hectic process. Julie was extremely helpful and actually served more so as an advisor to me and my husband as we had to navigate through making certain decisions and choices and really was exactly the kind of support I needed! Lisa and Roland were also amazing the day of with all of the timing, logistical elements, and of course with serving the most delicious food and drinks. I even got a lot of compliments from our wedding party and guests on the waitstaff and event staff and how friendly and helpful they were! Honestly they went above and beyond everything I had expected we would be getting for the cost of the venue and I am very grateful to have had a perfect wedding because of them!

Their flexibility for the day of coordination was very helpful when we were determining if the rain would hold off so we could have an outside ceremony, it did! All of the day of details were handled to a t , the food was excellent, and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. I cannot say enough about The Old Lantern and the team there. It was the best day and perfect venue.

On the wedding day, we didn't have to stress over a single detail. Lisa and her team kept us on schedule and managed all of the behind the scenes details flawlessly. as been a difficult time for many couples. Julie was supportive through several date changes and was transparent about venue protocols during the pandemic. All emails we sent were promptly answered and she made herself available if we needed to check in. We chose to rent the onsite Inn for ourselves and close family and friends who were traveling. The space is gorgeous, clean, and set up well for guests. We really enjoyed the back patio area outside. The fire pit was perfect for roasting marshmallows and the ample seating was terrific for our lowkey rehearsal dinner. The staff made the Barn so beautiful that we barely needed to add any of our own details. Our day was stress-free because they took care of the particulars so we could enjoy ourselves, and everyone was so kind to all our guests. We were fortunate to be able to work with such fantastic and experienced people who made our wedding day better than we ever imagined it could be!

Since my daughter and her husband live in Kansas, the planning was done both in person and remotely. Julie was super organized and helpful. Lisa took over for the event and made the magic happen so we could have an effortless fun day. A shout out to Mark at Top Hat DJ, he was fantastic. We actually had guests write us thank-you cards for inviting them to such a fabulous venue.

On the day of, Lisa was on site and directed everything so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. The food was incredible, and they were able to work with us to create the menu we wanted. They even offered a dinner and wine tasting so we could sample their food and see the venue in action before the big day. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. The prep work was made so easy because of the help and professional input they gave us. This venue takes care of the centerpieces and works with your florist to make sure everything ties together. They have a great list of vendors that they work with regularly, which was very helpful in our selection process. The day of the wedding also went flawlessly, from calming down our nerves right up until the ceremony and making sure we had plenty of food and drinks all night. All of our guests told us it was the best wedding they'd been to and that the appetizers and drinks as well as dinner was all incredible. I couldn't have imagined a more special day for us and it was all thanks to the great team the venue had working for us all day! Thank you!!

It was so much fun to have our whole wedding party stay with us for the whole weekend! Getting ready in the inn the morning of the wedding was perfect too! The food was absolutely delicious!!! We had so many people tell us how great everything was! They had so many options to choose from too! Overall, we had an amazing experience! We absolutely loved everyone we worked with and it was our dream wedding! We would highly recommend!

With the help of Lisa and Julie two weeks before our next wedding date in July we decided to have a small intimate 32 person wedding on July 11th. With our whole dream we believed to be out the window here came Lisa and Julie to the rescue with a plan to make our dreams still come true. A year later we were able to invite all our guests and finish the wedding of our dreams. From the decorations to every last detail were beyond perfect, the drinks were great and the food was beyond delicious from chef Roland. the Old Lantern is everything a girl could have every dreamed of having her wedding day look like, even with all the stress COVID brought. I don't think we would have ever held onto our dreams if it wasn't for Julie and Lisa. oh and the venue is the perfect rustic touch for your special Vermont wedding.

uickly learned that there were few venues in Vermont that could still accept more than 55 people. They already had RSVP's for 94. Old Lantern can seat 150, so during VT's COVID restrictions, they could still handle 75. More than almost any other option we had. Finally, we found the Old Lantern Inn and Barn, and the four of us (daughter/fiance/wife/myself) all met with Julie. We knew immediately that it was the place for us. So many things were taken off the list with this venue - wedding cake (done!), decorations (done!), event planner (done!), bar/bartender on site, COVID precautions (done!), etc. (done, done, done!) The staff at the Old Lantern was wonderful. They did a great job of making us feel warm and wanted, even suggesting different options for things like how to do drinks for the toast, etc. On the wedding day, they were invaluable. Lisa kept things for the ceremony rolling in a caring way, keeping the timing of things moving along, and making sure we were all in our places when needed. It was such a relief to have her there, and it would not fall on me to have to 'herd' everyone through the whole thing. Very professional and extremely caring in the way she handled things. As the wedding progressed, there were just more and more things that added to the feelings that the newlyweds and my wife and I were VIP's, and the value for what we paid kept going through the roof! They also handle catering in-house, and the food was exceptional. Appetizers were served at the table, and entrees via buffet line in the back. I believe that table serving of entrees is also an option. The wedding cake they made was beautiful, and tasty, too! Would I recommend them? Oh, Yes! I'll be touting the benefits and recommending the use of Old Lantern for years to come. These folks are wonderful, and truly made my daughter's wedding a fairy tale! Please use them! You won't regret it!

The food we selected was exceptionally prepared by Roland and we received multiple compliments. We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding at the Old Lantern Inn & Barn.

Being about to walk back and forth between the Barn and the Inn made the whole weekend so easy and convenient. The Old Lantern really takes care of so many of your needs, including the food, drinks, centerpieces, cake and even some of the decorations. We hardly had to do anything at all besides show up and everyone can't stop talking about how beautiful it all was. The food was also incredible! We have received so many compliments on the food and the cake. I would recommend the Old Lantern to anyone who wants a gorgeous Vermont venue with amazing coordinators who really know what they're doing.

On top of that, the planning process was smooth and straight forward thanks to Julie, the event planner. She sent us all of the information we would need to provide to the team well in advance so that we had time to think about all of the details, as well as a timeline moving forward. When questions came up, Julie was easy to reach and responded so quickly. She also gave great advice across the board from where to save money, decor, menu options, and navigating traditions. During the planning phase, we had an opportunity to attend a wine dinner one evening. It was so nice to spend time in The Old Lantern all decorated, try out some of the food, get to know the team a bit more, and build the excitement envisioning our own wedding. Once our wedding weekend approached, we had our rehearsal with Lisa. She walked us through the day, eased our nerves, and let us know she'd be there with us keeping things running smoothly on our wedding and was she ever! Lisa was amazing! We were struck by her attention to detail, confidence and clarity working with our vendors, and how she seemingly appeared out of nowhere at any moment to lend a helping hand from attaching boutonnieres, bustling my dress, or fixing my mother in law's hair. Then it was on to the food. Chef Roland and his team did a wonderful job from the appetizers and main courses, to the cake! Our guests could not stop talking about how good the food was and saying how they'd never had such good food at a wedding before. Not only was the food delicious, but all of our guests were able to eat from the buffet regardless of allergies or dietary restrictions because of an amazing selection to choose from and Chef's flexibility altering dishes to meet our needs. Lastly, Mary Pat did a great job behind the bar and closed down the night seamlessly. We can't speak highly enough of the great work the team at The Old Lantern did to make our wedding such a success!

They also provide decorations for couple that don’t want to take care of it or can’t afford wedding decorations. The food was AMAZING. We had so many good comments from our guest. Julie and Lisa are the best wedding planners you could for ask for, they made every step easy and organized all the details. Chef Roland's food was phenomenal, their staff and bartenders are the best. Truly a hidden gem nestled in the Geen Mountain State. Our guests traveled from Las Vegas, Florida, New York and New Jersey and were extemely impressed with the high level of services provided. Also be sure to work off of their "Our Favorites" list on their website, the vendors they have listed work amazing and have great relationships with Julie and Lisa and make your special day stress free! Worth every penny spent on the day, we're looking forward to our next big celebration so we can return.
