This place is beautiful without decorations so once you had your touches, makes this place amazing. Had a very good experience with Ms. Shehla and the staff that helped with cleanup was a delight to work with. Will recommend this establishment for any of your elegant parties.
Shelah was a pleasure to work with the entire way, she and her staff are very accommodating. I would highly recommend this event hall. The venue is gorgeous and all my guests were impressed! Shelah assisted in contacting me with an amazing decorator who provided beautiful centerpieces and my bridal party flowers as well. Everything was perfect for my wedding reception and I cannot thank Shelah and her staff enough!
We had our wedding reception of around 150 guests at this venue. Let us start by saying that the hall is excellent. Its very modern and there is a lot of light and the chandeliers and the lighting is excellent. The entrance foyer is very well decorated and adds a lot to the ambiance. The bathrooms are beautiful as well. Once you enter the hall, the chairs are all clear chiavari chairs which adds a lot to how elegant this place looks. It really is a great venue.
However, for me the most amazing part was dealing with Sheila Aunty who is the owner and the manager of this hall. She is simply amazing. From day one she helped us so much with recommendations on decor, photography, make up and everything else. She went above and beyond on the day of the event. Any time we asked her for something she always said yes and was super accommodating. On the day of the reception, both her and her husband were there throughout and made sure that everything went smoothly and there were no hiccups. They really treated us like family and managed everything perfectly. Thanks to both of them, the day of the reception was stress free for us. We are incredibly thankful o both of them!

I signed a contract with Opal event Hall (Georgia) in January 2019 it was a little hard to communicate with Shehla because she was either out of town or very busy to meet but I understood she’s running a business. Two months after my contract was signed my grandmother passed which took a toll on our family we thought about delaying the wedding but decided to still move forward another 4 months after that my aunt who was helping financially with the wedding passed from a stroke this has been the most devastating year so I contacted the owner Shehla in July (wedding was scheduled for October) and told her I needed to delay the wedding a year or so due to my aunts death and financially we could not afford a big wedding anymore. I called repeatedly she told me to text she was not able to talk so I texted her and asked to delay the wedding I understand I would lose my deposit and with everything that has happened we could not continue. She was very rude stating I would still have to pay the full amount for the space ASAP(in her words) before management could decide if delaying was an option, never once did she state she’s sorry for my loss only stated she would have to take legal action if I did not pay. I asked could we setup a payment arrangement of 100$ a month she stated the minimum she could take was 500$ a month and I told her I couldn’t afford such a large amount a month when my aunt who passed was paying for our wedding. This has just been a nightmare!!! I understand she still has to run a business but keeping my deposit should have been enough given the circumstances!!
I had my wedding here last March 2018 and it was honestly one of the most beautiful halls we came across in our search. Their service was professional and courteous. They were responsive with every concern or questions that we had and we felt really comfortable throughout the process. Due to my husband being out of the state at the time, we had to change the date a couple of times and Shehla and her husband were so understanding. The bridal room located near the stage area was soo convenient to change dresses in and roomy enough... and even had a private bathroom for the bride! Everything was clean and the serving staff there were great. I especially loved the entrance for pictures! Thank you guys! And I'm so sorry about the late review, just got out of the honeymoon faze :D I would recommend them without a doubt!! Go and check the place out and speak to them, you won't regret it.
I can only begin with a Thank you thank you thank You! Shehla was amazing, she made sure all our needs were met and made our night unforgettable, the venue is beautiful, plenty of parking, very convenient location, very specious, our guest were really pleased and had such an amazing time, never in the whole 6 months of planning did we ever feel rushed by her, a wedding is very stressful to plan but Shehla made sure we were at ease and had such a special touch every moment that made my husband and I feel like family, I recommend this venue to anyone with any kind of event, as She and her staff will make sure your day will be one of a kind. ❤
We celebrated our 30th anniversary at Opal event hall. It was a sheer pleasure dealing with Sheila for our event. From beginning to the end, she was ALWAYS very pleasant, professional, cooperative and went over and above to accommodate us to make our event special. The venue itself is large, modern, and super clean with a large kitchen, bathroom and dance floor. It was really perfect for our needs. We highly recommend Opal event Hall to anyone and plan to use it ourselves for future events. Much success to you Sheila!

Loved our wedding here! The outside doesn't look like much but inside is breathtaking! The price was VERY reasonable and included so many things like linens, dinner ware, glass ware, water and beverage service, complete set up, and take down. You really cannot beat the price (trust me I looked and didn't find anything close). The venue is gorgeous and the guest, photographers, and videographer all loved it! They could not stop talking about how amazing the location was. Shehla the owner is also great to work with!
She is super flexible, very responsive, and such a sweetheart! She was always there to answer questions and helped me every step of the way. She even put me in touch with some awesome vendors for the wedding like decorators, bakers, and even make up artists (all of whom we used because like her they were super affordable for very high quality and amazing service!)
The staff was also very kind to the guest and everyone commented on how sweet everyone was. They went out of our way to make our day special. I would very likely come back to have an anniversary party or some other event just for the chance to work with this team again. Reach out to her, you will NOT be disappointed!
Shehla at Opal was extremely professional and easy to work with. The hall speaks for itself in elegance and the high ceilings are just gorgeous. Shehla also went above and beyond her duties and accommodated the vendors to print the menu signs, and also handled the every detail down to smallest that we overlooked. Shehla has the secret to hosting successful and elegant events at the Opal Event Hall. We would recommend Opal Event Hall to our friends and anyone looking for a beautiful venue hidden away in Lawrenceville!

I fell in love with Opal when I saw it during a friend's wedding. I then approached Shehla during my wedding planning about booking the hall for one of my events. From the very beginning, she was so kind and so very helpful. She not only helped us with the event hall, she also gave us many suggestions of other vendors to use during our wedding events. She was so easy to work with and always kept our budget in mind. She was really easy to reach and always gently reminded us of next steps. It was almost like having an event coordinator. As far as the hall is concerned, it is beautiful, elegant, and modern. It was perfect and I would highly recommend Shehla and Opal to everyone! In fact, my sister is getting married soon and wants to use Opal as well!
This is a beautiful hall -- high ceilings, great lobby, classy bridal room, and amazing staff.
They are very amenable to whatever occasion you want to have here. We came here super last minute and wanted to have our event on a holiday evening. The owners were AMAZING -- great service, very responsive, always available. We visited multiple times before the day of and then were happy that they were present for the duration of the event from prep to close. If you want a site that is pretty while working with flexible and authentic people - this is your place. I will always recommend it to friends.
I hosted my husband's 50th Birthday Party at the Opal Event Hall and it was FANTASTIC!!! The owner of the venue, Shehla Khan, was incredible to work with and was very accommodating! I price was great and it included almost everything that I needed for my event...including (4) wait staff, (2) bartenders and security!!! The venue is gorgeous and very clean, which was very important to me.
I would recommend using this facility to all of my friends and family. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!
