Every single one of my guests came up to me and said how impressed they were with the venue, the beautiful mix of old Florida nature with a rustic outdoors feel. As a bride, I didn't have to worry about a single detail. We did the cocktail hour, the koi pond experience (which everyone loved). And during COVID, they made sure to distance the tables, the staff was masked, and made our guests feel as comfortable as possible. My mother and I also decided on renting out the farmhouse so the morning of the wedding we had more than plenty of space to get ready ( I had 6 bridesmaids, my mother, mother in law, and flower girl) and it was the best decision I made for that day. My family was able to stay there after the wedding, and then my mother threw a beautiful morning-after brunch for our guests. Jen was my main day of coordinator, I cannot express enough how happy I am with how everything turned out. Brandy turned out to be our bartender...thank you for all the pours haha. You can tell that they love what they do, and they are very good at that. Couldn't have asked for a better day!!!

There were also times when we asked Brandy to take something and run with it and her creative freedom did not disappoint. The venue is simple but elegant. The Pavilion is breathtaking. There's a lot of space for guest to move around and not feel trapped in one space. There is a farmhouse on the property that you can rent as well and it made it really easy to stay and get ready right on site. Go take a tour and meet the team, I guarantee you'll want to book instantly!

I’ve helped out with friends’ weddings in the past where other venues do not give you access until the day-of and only a few hours before - that is not the case with Mixon! This actually played a huge part in our decision making process. We had our rehearsal the evening before (on Thursday) and were given access to store all of our decor, alcohol, etc in the (locked) bridal suite overnight. Being able to bring all that stuff the evening before was a huge help! We also had access beginning at 9:00 am the day-of so we had lots and lots of time to set up! We loved it that our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was all in one place. Everyone was blown away at how beautiful the venue is. The play area adjacent to the butterfly garden and the koi pond was great for the kids! We love Mixon!

best parts about this venue was everything that was included- chairs, tables, etc. but also the incredible chandeliers and twinkling lights pulled the whole aesthetic together! The convenience of having the ceremony/social hour/ reception all so close made it extremely helpful to our vendors and guest. My favorite part of all was how you could really add your own creativity to it. It wasn’t a “barn look” that required the super rustic feel. I could add our own personality in it making it truly just unique to us! Our guests could not stop saying how beautiful it was and the amount of photo ops are incredible! We didn’t even use our photo booth backdrop because the florals and greens were more than enough. I would choose mixon over and over!

I got the romantic, intimate, outdoor affair I was imagining... I told my now-husband several times throughout the planning process that I somehow was able to have my cake and eat it too. I got the pros and left behind all of the cons of each decision we made. Let me reiterate this: my wedding day was perfect. I would not improve a single aspect of it, from the unexpected surprises like the wine and orange juice left in our dressing rooms down to the absolute trust and confidence I had in my coordinators to leave the venue in middle of the afternoon to start getting ready for the ceremony. My husband and I definitely planned a “budget” wedding, but there were a few things we chose to splurge on — Mixon’s Ultimate Coordinator Package was one of them. It was worth every single penny! When Brandy (our coordinator) walked in while I was getting ready and asked about the details I had forgotten about, I was so grateful. She pulled everything together in a truly magical way. I was stunned when I walked out in my wedding gown and found everything not just the way I had expected, but even more beautiful than I had pictured. Brandy truly really went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. She even offered me the emotional support I found I needed right before walking down the aisle. Theresa, the other coordinator there that night, was also brilliant. She carefully pulled my dress out of a bush I had snagged it on and helped my husband and I laugh when it all felt a little overwhelming. Brandy and Theresa were my dream team and I feel so blessed I got them! I cannot say enough about how wonderful Mixon’s was… about how beautiful the venue was just in and of itself, about how helpful and extensive the advice we received was, and about how wonderful and talented the staff was in making everything happen. I actually cried watching strangers wedding videos at the farm and immediately made an appointment to take a tour. When we pulled in, my husband was like "...what is this" because you walk into this cute little shop and the last thing you'd think is that it's associated with all of these beautiful videos online... but plot twist, it's that and so much more. We were greeted by Sheri who is an absolute pleasure. She gave us the grand tour of the venue and the farm. It was the first place we actually took the time to go see in real life and as soon as we left that day, we knew it was our place. Sheri is amazing to work with and kept everything in check throughout the entire process (even handling my main request of keep beer cups chilled, lol) She always answered my dozens of questions and made me feel at ease with everything. Brandy was our go to during our rehearsal and wedding day and this woman is a beast. She had to endure two pretty decent thunderstorms with us and was a trooper through everything. Our coordinator was very happy with how accommodating she was and easy to work with. Brandy never skipped a beat, she was everywhere at all times, just incredible. I didn’t even realize there were blow up slides but boy were they a hit! The twinkle lights are fantastic. I even had a nice surprise- the week of my wedding they installed gorgeous chandeliers!!! Also… the donut bar… say no more. For our big day, it was 86 and sunny, and I was worried about it being hot. Between the cooling units we rented and the fans at the pavilion, we were totally fine!! I don’t even think I sweat. Sheri and Brandy were so flexible an on board with all of my ideas and truly helped to bring my vision to life. Brandy was our day of coordinator, and she was all hands on deck the whole time. She knows what she is doing. Brandy and Dennis (her assistant) took all of my crafts and decorations and set them up beautifully and followed my instructions for the whole day. I didn’t really know what to do with the sweetheart table, and Brandy and Dennis made it absolutely gorgeous and even arranged our leftover flowers on it! She made sure my bridal party and myself had beers throughout the photo process (we needed it after we had a church ceremony)! I had compliments from guests about how friendly and accommodating she was the whole night. I even have engaged friends who say they need their coordinators to be more like Brandy! We also rented the Farm House located on site for the out of town family (sleeps 13!!!!) and the bridal party and it was AMAZING. The photos you can snap alone are worth it. We were able to check in on Thursday and stay through Sunday (our wedding was Fri). Being on site at the venue the day before made a HUGE difference in our stress level. Also, being able to kick family out and have a whole extra day after the wedding was ESSENTIAL to unwinding after the big day. I also highly, highly suggest that you choose a coordinator package. I had the pleasure of working with Sheri, who absolutely made our day. I NEVER had to think. This was key to having such a fantastic time. She was like a second set of hands making sure I had a drink at all times, and even playing donut warrior to ensure the Groom and I had the best biggest and best piece of dessert :P Sheri made sure that we felt completely comfortable at all times and was more than accommodating with communication betweens vendors, guests and the bridal party. If you are seeking an affordable venue, a two in one location, do it yourself planning, budget friendly pricing, no pressure sales and the family feeling of rich FL history, this is the venue for you!

But once you walk through the entrance it's completely different. The venue was exactly what my fiancé and I were looking for. The tucked away garden and water fountain behind the gazebo made it a beautiful but simple and intimate setting for our guest of almost 100. It was as though we were Adam and Eve being married in the Garden of Eden. Also, if you decide to have a cocktail hour, make sure to get the cocktail package that comes with 5 high tables and beautiful space for guests while they wait. It is definitely worth it!
