We got married at The Perry House in July 2023 and had an amazing experience. The first time I saw the venue, I fell in love. It has so much character (which is a huge plus because you don't need to do much decorating) and an intimate feel. The setup of the house is pretty cool! The ceremony is outside (they have a really nice arch), and after the ceremony, that space is converted to dinner seating. There are two levels in the house, which makes it easy for those who aren't interested in dancing to have a more relaxed conversation. One note is that because there are only stairs and no elevator, it may be hard for disabled or older folks to get around.
The Perry House handles all food and beverage needs. Our guests absolutely raved about the food and the signature cocktails. There is a lot of variety with different budgets - definitely go to the tasting if you can.
The Perry House also provides a day-of coordinator, which honestly felt priceless. They help with planning certain things, but they made the whole day run smoothly. I didn't feel one ounce of stress on my wedding day, except for typical wedding jitters. The only hiccup I had was that we hadn't heard from our coordinator in a few weeks, and we were getting close to needing to submit our guest count. It turns out they had left the company, and we had a new coordinator, but they had the wrong email address for us. It seems like that could have been avoided, but it all worked out.
We ended up having a relatively low guest count and needed to fulfill the food and beverage minimum. We were able to add on extra food (late-night snacks) and upgrade our appetizers. We were also able to use the extra budget for rentals such as chargers and nicer chairs. This is awesome because I have seen people complain that their venue doesn't let them do this. It definitely helped us feel like we were getting great value.
Overall, it was an amazing day, and we loved our venue. Many of our guests still talk about our wedding and say it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to.
This place was absolutely beautiful and everything we imagined for a backyard wedding! We loved the outdoor/indoor setting and we maxed out the capacity at 138 which fit everyone snuggly and comfy. We also had kids in attendance who loved he s’mores bar and the late night pizza snack was such a hit! The pizza was honestly better than the dinner, the chicken was dry but the steak and scallops were delicious and our guests won’t stop talking about our appetizers too! Be careful when signing the contract, our venue coordinator added extra ridiculous fees hidden in our outline and we are so thankful our wedding planner was able to catch the hidden fee charge. (PS it was a 48% up charge so read your contract very carefully). They did remove it after us questioning it. We got married on October 7 and while it was unusually hot that day (80s!) the venue did not have AC but we were able to cool off by hanging outside in the backyard. The waiters, bartenders, and service staff were also amazing and very professional and made the yummiest drinks! We were so happy with our Rosemarry Me drink and Transfusions.

Dear Sabrina,
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed and thoughtful feedback! We're overjoyed to learn that your backyard wedding at our venue lived up to your expectations, providing a beautiful outdoor/indoor setting that comf...
ortably accommodated all 138 guests. The success of the s'mores bar and late-night pizza snack adds to our excitement, and we value your insights on the menu.
Regarding the contract, we extend our sincere apologies for any confusion. It's important to note that the 25% mark-up on rentals is explicitly outlined in our agreements to cover dedicated staff, efficient delivery, pick-up, and supervision during set-up and usage. This transparent approach is designed to ensure the smooth execution of your event and account for potential losses or damages.
Given that your wedding planner overlooked the contract details and didn't incorporate them into your budget, and considering that you rented the complete place setting, linens, chairs, and some tables, we mutually decided to lower the mark-up percentage. The negotiated mark-up covered the logistics, planning, and coordination services associated with the rentals.
We're pleased that you were able to cool off in the backyard, and we're grateful for your positive remarks about our staff—waiters, bartenders, and service team—who contributed to making your day memorable. It brings us immense joy to hear that the Rosemary Me drink and Transfusion were highlights of your experience.
Thank you once again for choosing our venue. We extend our warmest wishes to you and Zack for a lifetime filled with happiness!
The wedding venue of our dreams! When we started looking at venues online, the Perry house was the first venue we came across and immediately fell in love. We looked at around 4-5 different places just to make sure we were picking the right spot and when we finally saw the Perry house in person I knew that was the only place we could get married. Everything about the venue is perfect. The interior, the garden, the balconies, the views of the bay, the details inside and out. Every single thing is just perfect. The house is in a neighborhood but I swear once you step inside it’s like everything around the house disappears and you feel like you’re in your own little bubble. The service is wonderful from start to finish, every single person we worked with was so friendly and helpful. Our coordinator Charlene was amazing! So sweet and really made our day so special, I appreciated how much she helped my husband and I to make our day amazing. Every single person who worked the day of the wedding was so attentive and helpful and friendly, our bar tender was amazing! He was so nice and funny and was making fun custom mocktails for the kids, we had a lot of guests comment on how great he was! The food was 10/10, absolutely delicious! We have the trip-tip and salmon for our main courses and it was soooo good! Again so many compliments on the food from the guests. Also I HIGHLY recommend having pizza as an appetizer option, so fun to have the pizza oven going and it’s super yummy. Big hit with adults and kids! I truly can’t recommend The Perry House enough, I remember sitting during dinner and looking around at all the guests and up at the house and thinking how absolutely perfect that moment was and how lucky we were to find this venue. The only downside was how fast the day went! I wish we could relive it again. I promise you will not be disappointed if you choose the Perry house as your wedding venue. It’s more than we ever could have hoped for and any bride and groom would be so lucky to have their wedding there. Thank you Charlene and The Perry House team for making our wedding so perfect.

Any questions?
The Perry House was an amazing venue for us in every possible way. They were quick to get back to us on any questions (and we had a lot) and efficient with our time getting all the details ironed out. Charlene and Tammy were both wonderful and we're very grateful they helped make our day even more special than it already was.
Day-of they were super organized and everything went smoothly without any worries on our side. They were very professional with the whole event, start to finish.
The food was a definite standout (get the ravioli!) but the venue itself was gorgeous as well. It made figuring out decorations much less stressful knowing that if we did nothing it would still look lovely.
We had about 80 guests and they all had a fantastic time.
We felt very supported throughout the whole process of organizing the event and would highly recommend The Perry House for any mid-size wedding.
Highly recommend this venue for your wedding needs!! This place was perfect for my wedding - I fell in love at first sight. Francesca was a great coordinator, very communicative and didn't blink an eye when I changed table cloth colors multiple times last minute. She had really great insight on the procession and how things are supposed to go for weddings -- super helpful so I don't need to a wedding planner!!! The food was absolutely delicious -- all the guests raved about the steak. Beautiful indoor/outdoor wedding venue, intimate, and close to the water! It was a magical experience and highly recommend it for your wedding!

Love, Frankie and the Events By Classic Family
I could write a full 10-page, MLA-cited essay on why this venue is so amazing and why you should promptly sign a contract with them. But I'll try and edit myself down to a reasonable length.
My experience with Perry House and the Events by Classic team was wonderful from the start. My husband and I fell in love with the beautiful, romantic, vintage Victorian home with the view of the Monterey Bay, easy to find and located in a convenient spot with lots of accommodations around for our out-of-town guests. They advertised a service that included so much - the two biggest pluses being in-house catering (so you can trust the caterers know the kitchen and layout) and venue event manager who would help you the day of coordinate your vendors, your timeline, and help you with things like setting out your decor.
Several of the vendors we reached out to commented on Perry House and how lovely it is to work there. We had to do minimal coordination between all the teams, partly because many of them had worked at Perry House before.
The wedding day goes by in a blur. But it was an incredibly pleasant, stress-free blur for me. Showing up after dragging sticks and leaves in my wedding dress from our first look to the dressing room only to see a platter of cheese and crackers and champagne and orange juice laid out as a thoughtful touch from the venue almost made me cry. The ceremony went perfectly (no anxiety since we had a quick and thorough walk-through with Frankie the day before), cocktail hour was fantastic - everywhere I looked I saw a server either passing out appetizers or cleaning up, a drink in everyone's hand. Everything was as delicious as I'd remembered from the tasting, which was good, because we'd been hyping up the fried artichokes to our friends for about 6 months.
We went with the chef's station option for dinner. (A side rave: the level of customization for dinner from the options on the brochure that they offered was next level.) All night long we received compliments about the food - everyone had different favorites, but the vegetarian pasta options seemed to be a popular hit! The dessert station was perfect (I think my photographer has 10 photos of me shoving tarts in my face, what can you do) but the best part was our late night PIZZA: thank you to the captain of our pizza ship, David, payroll manager by day, pizza hero by night! A late-night snack was an absolute hit with our guests, highly recommend!
Thank you to our wonderful bartender (also named David?? I'm now worried the whiskey sours got to my head) who served us professionally and courteously. Nobody was overserved or underserved, and we are so grateful.
I need to make a separate paragraph for how grateful I am for Frankie - she was the star of the show. She was everywhere all at once. She reminded me that I had a reception dress to change into. I saw her check in with our vendors. Her eye for decor made it so easy for us to simply pass along our box of decorations and trust her. I cannot emphasize how much Frankie did for us that wedding. It wouldn't have been the same without her and her team - I know I would have stressed the entire night, worrying about hosting the party. The night of, I was able to relax and enjoy myself, and feel like I was just a guest at the party instead of the host. What a testament to the service we received from the whole team for me to say that!
I cannot begin to explain how beautiful this venue is! Ours was an Indian French wedding and perry house exactly understood how to bring this fusion vision to life. The venue is perfect for intimate weddings where you want your guests to mingle with others and not be stuck to one table. The food!! Can't begin to explain how talented the chef is! We wanted Indian + French food and what a fusion it was. Our coordinator Charlene was rockstar! She just made everything happen. Highly recommend this place!

Where to start?! The food, cocktails, venue, and the staff were all so amazing, so let's break it down.
We chose this place because we loved that we could see the marina from the 2nd floor, it was only a 6 min walk to the hotel, and the best part for me was that they had in-house catering. You also cannot beat their premium open bar package, holy moley. We are trying to find couples who are getting married and trying to convince them now to get married at the Perry House so we can enjoy this place as guests. It was that good.
The menu/food! We did a buffet style dinner with pizza, tritip, and grilled shrimp. Everything was delicious - our guests are still talking about how their table attempted to nab a whole pie (pizza) for the table. When we had dinner at a nice French restaurant in Carmel a few nights before our wedding day, the chef came over for a chat and when he heard we were having our wedding at the Perry House, he told us their catering is the best around town and boyyyy was he right!!
We did a his/hers cocktail, and brought in our own Luxardo cherries because I need my Manhattans made a specific way. They also did the Southside Fizz for us and our guests really loved them.
The venue does not have much parking, but there is a parking garage right across the street. We stayed at the Monterey Marriott which was an easy 6 min walk. They have a beautiful private room upstairs where I was able to get my dress on and take a breath before the ceremony. Fruits, cheeses, and sparkling wine was provided (such a nice touch). We could not have planned it out better - given COVID, this was the ideal venue because it was an indoor/outdoor venue with multiple large french doors providing tons of circulation. And the weather in mid-May was absolutely perfect.
The staff! So so friendly. Our event manager Susan was great at running the show - I wasn't too detailed oriented, but her and her staff partnered well with my day of coordinator and made everything beautiful. They are so incredibly efficient. One of the wait staff even joined us on the dance floor!
I really do hope that one of our friends get married here - I would love to visit again and enjoy EVERYTHING as a guest this time ;)
We had our dream wedding for 50 people at the Perry House, and we couldn’t have been happier with everything! From the prime location to the delicious food, our wedding was perfect in every way. And thanks to our wedding coordinator, Francesca, planning everything was a breeze! She met with us a few times before the wedding weekend, and she was always organized and really helped us out when we didn’t know where to start. We couldn’t imagine doing this all without her assistance! The day before, she helped unload all of the decor and got the families organized for the rehearsal… not an easy feat as the father of the bride tends to be social and easily distracted! The day of, she had all the decor set up before I (the bride) arrived, which made me so excited for the ceremony and reception. During the event, it was like she was the conductor of this beautiful orchestra, and everything went smoothly. Francesca remembered things that we were too busy and distracted to remember, and she was always one step ahead of us. She was the definition of anticipatory service, as she was always there before we knew we needed assistance.
The catering staff were excellent as well, and everyone was so friendly! We never went hungry or thirsty, as the appetizers came around often and the bartenders were fast as can be! AND THE FOOD— the number one thing our guests still talk about! Everything was excellent!! Kudos to the cooks!
Overall, we couldn’t be more grateful to have chosen the Perry House for our wedding. Not only is it one of the most beautiful venues in the area, the staff and catering really made our day so special. Thank you Perry House!!
My daughter had her wedding at the Perry House 8/27/2021. It is a beautiful venue. The venue comes with a day of coordinator. We were lucky to work with Amanda and Francesca (Frankie). They were both amazing coordinators, very experienced. They listened to all our requests, and made them happen. The day of the wedding the entire staff were very hands on, and made it all happen flawlessly. The food was amazing, all of our guests commented on the delicious food. We picked a full premium open bar, which is a must. Bartenders, waitresses, waiters, coordinators, security guards, all included. We didn’t have to worry about anything. It was perfect!

ed with love, laughter, and happiness. Thank you so much from me and the Events by Classic Team! ~ Frankie
Just had my wedding here and it was even better than I dreamed! Susan was so patient with me and accommodated all of my crazy! :) we missed the tasting but were fully committed by that point. We knew that any company in the wedding business would have good food, but it was absolutely delicious. All of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been and are still telling us what a great time they had. This is a beautiful venue and I am so happy we went with them. Thank you to the entire staff who treated us like royalty. Best day ever.
After getting engaged I knew I needed to do a lot of research and try to secure a wedding venue as soon as possible. After finding The Perry House I knew this was my dream venue. The location, the house, the outdoor space, the VIEWS - this was it!
My event coordinator, Susan, was very responsive and helpful from day one. Being a COVID bride meant dealing with a lot of unknowns and lots of changes in rules/restrictions. I'm so grateful that we were able to keep our original wedding date and that things went so smoothly and turned out to be the best day ever.
The hardest decisions to make were which food items to choose, as they were all so delicious! We ended up going with the tri tip and chicken roulade plated options and everyone complimented how good the food was! It was also nice that they also offered some vegan substitutes for some of our vegan guests!
Can't say enough good things about the most magical and wonderful day of my life - it wouldn't have been possible without the help from Susan and the rest of the staff at The Perry House and Events By Classic!
I never actually went to The Perry House. I requested a quote online. I was referred to their pricing sheet and was pleased. We went into additional details and I was finally sent a quote. Nearly $20k. Not at all what I was expecting based on the pricing sheet.
This venue is listed as affordable. It is not!
There's not enough I can say to praise the extraordinary people and venue that make up the Perry House in Monterey, CA. Since our wedding a month ago, our guests have been sharing endless compliments about how special the venue was for our wedding. The Perry House is an historical Victorian house that was converted some years back into an event location primed to be a dream wedding. The location has three main levels, the outside backyard area presents a lovely garden-type feel for the ceremony, the main floor inside the house hosted the reception dancing and fun, and the second floor was a perfect location for guests to see Monterey bay, as well as lovely bridal suite with a huge mirror to see myself from head to toe. Our guests had the opportunity to mingle and roam around the grounds. The dance floor was heavily utilized, as well as two bars, and a fire pit. The front yard with its flora made a great spot for photos. We worked with Susan for our preparations leading up to the day. She was a great partner, considering ours was a destination wedding, so we only had a couple chances to visit the site before the wedding. Susan was friendly, accommodating to our needs, and provided gentle and helpful guidance to see us through to the finish. The food, handled by the catering company affiliated with the Perry House was delicious and much more in line with what you'd expect from fine dining that your typical wedding fare. It was scrumptious and our guests were delighted and certainly took advantage of seconds. We had 75 guests at our wedding, which fit quite comfortably in the space. It was clear that we could have had less numbers or more numbers with a different table configuration, and it would have worked just as well. We held the wedding on December 29th, so we could utilize off-peak season pricing, and it was an excellent choice. We had the tent up in the backyard (with clear walls, so it didn't infringe on the beauty around us), and it ended up being a beautiful day in any case. Monterey has such lovely temperate weather. All in all, for the high caliber level of the Perry House, it was very affordable. I can't stop singing the praises of the Perry House, and neither can our guests. Thank you Susan, the whole event staff & the Perry House!
We chose Ther Perry House for several reasons (location, aesthetics, size and food) but what really made our day special was working with Victoria, our wedding coordinator. She was amazing and covered every single detail of the day. She made sure we weren't stressed out, and she stepped in when we had issues with an outside vendor. She was fantastic!
The Perry House in general is a wonderful place for a reception and we honestly couldn't have chosen a better venue that reflected who we are as a couple. That made our day special.
We loved the charm of the old Victorian feel and the food was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better vendor and day overall. Susan was amazing in helping me get everything right. She's very very helpful and laid back all at once :)
I honestly don't know where to start but to say that The Perry House is amazing! My husband and I had a list of venues to visit in the Monterey area when we initially started planning our wedding. The Perry House was our first and only visit. We absolutely loved this intimate venue. From the beautiful foliage and flowers throughout the back garden to the Carriage House to the view of Monterey Bay from the second floor balcony.
We had the absolute pleasure of having Erin Wareham as our main point of contact when we booked The Perry House in March 2016. Words don't do Erin justice... She was so, so helpful throughout the entire planning process. We also hired Erin as our day-of coordinator, which my husband and I agreed afterwards was probably the best decision we made. She decorated everything the way I envisioned, made our ceremony and reception timeline run smoothly, seamlessly worked with all our vendors, and catered to our every whim on our special day. Without her, our wedding day definitely would not have been perfect.
Other Yelp reviewers have talked about the food, but let me tell you, it was the best food I've ever had at a wedding [and I'm not being biased ;)]. One of the main reasons we selected The Perry House was because all the food is made onsite. Also, The Perry House has what it calls an "Experience Station," which is similar to a buffet, but a staff member actually serves the food. For our appetizers, we selected the crab cakes, chicken tostadas, and gorgonzola and pear pizza. I can't even pick a favorite as they were all SO delicious. For our experience stations we selected the carving station with prime rib and the grill station with rockfish and chicken. Everyone raved about the food, but all our guests talked about was the incredible prime rib (and how many times they went back for more). We elected to have cupcakes (from Kara's Cupcakes) passed right after dinner instead of a cake, and later in the evening had milk and cookies served by The Perry House. The cookies were warm, gooey, delicious, and the perfect way to end the night!
Lastly, I just wanted to mention that the entire staff at The Perry House was truly fantastic.
Pick The Perry House as your wedding venue, I guarantee it will be the best thing you decide.
We loved our Perry House wedding and loved working with Susan! My husband and I wanted a relaxed, dinner party atmosphere, where we could mingle with our friends and family, and the Perry House delivered above and beyond what we had hoped for. Almost 6 months later, our families and friends still talk about our wedding and about how it was one of the most fun weddings they've been to.
One of the priorities for us was to have a relaxed enjoyable wedding where we didn't have to plan and decorate everything. The Perry House is a wonderful place for a reception. It's beautiful, with so many gorgeous details that not only reminded us of the Victorians in SF where we live, but made it feel comfortable and homey. Because it has so much natural beauty, we didn't have to do much at all in the way of decor. We choose a few colors of their standard linens, used their included centerpieces, and added a few touches and it looked AMAZING. The food was unbelievable. One of the hardest things was choosing the menu, just because there were so many delicious options. We loved the option of food stations instead of a traditional seated meal, allowing everyone to mix as they pleased.
Susan, our event captain, went above and beyond in helping us put the event together. She answered all of our questions as we figured out what we would need, and made great recommendations based off her experience. She was there to guide us through the process from the beginning, and went over all the little details as we put our event together. She served as our day of coordinator as well, and was a huge help in making sure everything went smoothly so we could just have a great time. I was so amazed how she took the few small boxes of decor we had given her the day before, and integrated them into the Perry House to make it look so beautiful, but also feel so much like home. The Perry House made our wedding day beautiful, fun, and simple, so we could enjoy the best day of our lives.
Our wedding was pretty amazing, the banquet staff, food, and venue were beautiful! We had some pretty odd requests for cocktails and they were more than accommodating.
To be honest, the real superhero was our Wedding Coordinator, Hana. While I was so sad she couldn't be there on the day of the wedding, she handled everything perfectly. From panic-induced emails, to me running late (sorry!), to crazy cherry-related inquiries. She was just on top of it. I would rate this venue 10 stars if possible.
We had a brunch wedding at the Perry House in September. It was outstanding.
Highlights:
-Beautiful venue
-Friendly and accommodating staff
-Great food
-Walking distance to good hotels and downtown
-Lends itself to a roaming style reception, which was lots of fun
-Worked seamlessly with other vendors
-Fun place to get ready for the Bride and Bride's maids
-All our friends and family had a great time!
Erin was our main contact and we hired her as a day-of coordinator. She is exceptional. Super accommodating, friendly, had good ideas, and was skilled at dealing with our stressed out mothers. She is a huge asset to this company and a rare reminder what a joy it can be to deal with someone that is truly outstanding at their job.
After searching high and low for a wedding venue, I happened to find The Perry House online. We made an appointment to meet with a coordinator, and as soon as I stepped into the place, I KNEW this was where I wanted to get married. It's a beautiful space, with so much charm and character. We had two more venues to look at, but cancelled our viewing appointments as soon as we left The Perry House.
The Perry House was restored to perfection some years ago, and it is the most perfect setting for an intimate or bigger wedding. It is a beautifully done historic Victorian, and the views are amazing.
Our wedding at was everything we wanted and more. From day one, the staff and our Peace-of-Mind coordinator RIchard, never let us down and always gave us top-notch service. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.
They also made sure we were taken care of on the day of, making sure we actually ate the amazing food we picked out, and keeping our drinks replenished, and taking care of all our decor. Everyone was professional, friendly and warm, and our guests are still raving about it.
I would definitely recommend giving this venue a visit, and I will continue to refer business to them whenever possible. They truly deserve it!
Richard and his staff at the Perry House were absolutely amazing. Hands down the best decision I made with my wedding planning was using this company/venue from helping plan the wedding set up, find wedding location (off site at Lovers' Point Park), having Richard act as my "Peace of Mind Coordinator," and throwing an event to remember for a life time. The food and ambiance at the reception went above and beyond my expectations. My November 1st wedding was unforgettable because of Events by Classic.
The Perry House is perfect. The location, staff and food are all 5 stars!
I think I may have already done a review on here before but they are so good they are worth another one! We chose Classic Catering for our wedding and have zero regrets. Mary Lisa was our contact and she is AMAZING! You must request her. The food was excellent. We keep getting compliments. They were very flexible with our menu request and let us bring our own alcohol. They also organize all of our rentals and clean up. They were top notch the whole way. Would definitely recommend them to anybody getting married in the area!
My husband and I got married at The Perry House on June 29, 2013 and from the start, Mary Lisa and the entire staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive. Whenever we had a question, we were answered in a timely manner. On the day of our wedding, everything was taken care of. We didn't have to worry about anything. The service was professional but friendly and fun. The food was amazing- our guests are still talking about how great the food was. The venue is beautiful and even though there are different areas, everybody felt included in what was going on- they liked that they could be in different areas and still see and hear what was happening. We had just under 100 guests and the venue felt filled but not crowded. There were places for everyone to sit, which was important to us since we did the passed small plate service. We were able to have the most amazing day because Mary Lisa and the staff at The Perry House made sure that everything was taken care of for us. I would recommend this venue in a heartbeat and would love to be a guest at this venue!
Everything from start to finish was perfect. This was not only on our wedding day, but the planning process as well. They made it so that I could plan our wedding from out of state with ease.
The venue will take your breath away and the staff at the Perry House runs that place seamlessly. Our guests are still raving about the food a month later! I cannot suggest this place enough.
we could not have been more pleased with how wonderful, helpful and courteous the staff was. Throughout the whole process they were there to answer any and all questions. The food was amazing and everything
went according to plan.
I found the perfect man who gave me the perfect ring with a perfect proposal. And immediately afterward started the process of planning for our perfect day. I wanted our wedding day to be both special and memorable for, not just myself and the groom, but for everyone there sharing our sacred event. As the bride, there were hundreds upon hundreds of details from the big to the small that I needed to take care of. I like the unconventional, the unique and--let me just admit it--the better things. So when it came to deciding the details regarding our wedding reception I had no worries because I knew everything was in good hands with Alicia and the rest of the Perry House staff. They made planning for my wedding reception amazingly easy.
A beautiful yellow house nestled on the hills overlooking the Monterey Bay, the Perry House is a Victorian sanctuary of simple charm with so much to offer. It is the perfect spot if you want to celebrate your wedding in an elegant, quaint locale. Providing first-class full service catering and event coordination, the Perry House ensured the most professional and customized service for my special celebration. It truly was an over-the-top experience.
Their backyard with an always-green lawn allow your guests to mingle or to use as an extra dining area. Here your guests can be wowed by the chefs preparing their dishes in the wood fired pizza oven. And those chilly Monterey evenings will not hamper the event because there are plenty of “mushroom heaters” plus a fire pit to keep the guests toasty. The carriage house held our photowall* for the guests to enjoy, and there is a bar and extra seating room there as well. May I also mention that the stain glass window in the carriage house is gorgeous; yet one other thing for your guests to gawk at other than the dress and cake. Not many halls offer something as special as that.
The upper level has a second bar plus a balcony with a great view of the Bay below. There is also a great alcove for you and your guests to sit and chit chat away from the festivities below in the ballroom. The bridal suite is also located on the top floor. Inside is a large restroom for you and the bridemaids to powder your nose plus a large mirror making for great photo shots of you in your wedding gown.
The delicacies prepared by the Perry House still get my mouth to water. First the appetizers were passed out by butlers. My husband and I still talk about the coconut shrimp; I complain that I just didn’t have enough of them. Plus there were tons of fruit, cheeses and crackers as the guests waited for our arrival. The main courses were served by the chefs themselves. My husband’s friends love to reminisce about how they each had their fill and then some of the tri tip and the tenderloin.
Alicia was my reception coordinator. We talked at length about my wants and the details I was incorporating. She knew exactly what to do. When the husband and I arrived after the ceremony and saw how she set up the decorations, our jaws dropped. Everything was more than perfect. Alicia totally executed my visions without fail.
It has been a couple of months since the event.  My guests still rave about everything about the reception. And I so grateful for everything that the Perry House crew has done to make my wedding such a hit for both the groom and me.
Joe and I were married at the Perry House on Nov. 19th. The venue was set up beautifully and Alicia, our wedding day coordinator from the Perry House was gracious and made sure everything went perfectly. The Food was amazing! We had more than enough for our guests! Many of our guests stopped us after the wedding and said how perfect the day was and how the venue was one of the best they've ever seen. I would highly recommend the Perry house for their beautiful venue, amazing food, and excellent customer service.
The best part about the Perry House is that you don't have to worry about anything. They take care of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception setup and cleanup. They are also one of the few places that have no corkage fee or cake cutting fee, but they do have a liquor license and provide wine and champagne at reasonable cost (the best part is you only pay for what you drink).
I personally always wanted an outdoor wedding, but it can be difficult with the elements and unpredictable Monterey weather. The Perry House has top grade AstroTurf so it's always green and ladies heels won't sink in. They provide several heaters so you can enjoy the dinner under the stars without freezing. If it rains they do have the house as a backup or two tent options (a clear tent that is more expensive and regular tent) so that you can still get married outside with the amazing view of the Monterey Bay and Wharf.
Since the kitchen is on site, they can accommodate surprise dietary needs of the guests. They assured us that our guests will be taken care of as well as the vendors who will also be fed.
The people there are also extremely professional and always respond in a timely manner, which is a must for frantic brides. They are willing to work with you and are always friendly and genuine. Ask for Alicia who will make your wedding day perfect.
