Couples can host up to 120 guests seated in the Bay Room or 175 in a cocktail-style arrangement with a mix of high tops and seating. The venue boasts a tech-forward space with high-resolution flat screens for custom digital signage and personalized photos. The area comes equipped with sustainably sourced raw wood tables from the local wildfires, live plants, lounge furniture, and white resin folding chairs. A 1,000-square-foot private outdoor garden is available, complete with market lights, shade sails, fire pits, and games. The versatile space can be designed and customized to the couple's needs.

Overall sentiment:
This is a gorgeous venue that makes an incredible first impression. However, the experience with the venue’s coordination and communication didn’t live up to the beauty of the space. If you’re detail-oriented or able to stay on top of planning logistics yourself, you can absolutely make it work, but if you’re hoping for hands-on, consistent support from the venue team, you may want to budget for extra help.
Pros
Beautiful location: The ceremony site overlooks the bay between palm trees, truly breathtaking and perfect for photos (though note in Sept the grass was pretty brown/dead- it's maintained by the city of San Diego, not the Point).
Gorgeous interior: The reception space is full of natural light, with beautiful wooden tables (no need for linens) and a chandelier draped with greenery and lights, which helped us save on décor and flowers.
Flexible vendor policy: We loved that we could choose our own caterer and bring in our own alcohol, this flexibility gave us creative control and helped manage costs.
Spacious and well laid out: The venue comfortably fit around 150 guests, with smooth transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
Cons
Customer service inconsistencies: Communication often lagged, and we had to double-check details multiple times to make sure nothing was missed.
Frequent staff changes: Our main contact kept shifting. Different team members joined calls without being fully briefed, and we occasionally received conflicting information.
Day-of coordination issues:
We weren’t introduced to our “day-of coordinator” until a week before the wedding.
She left after our grand entrance and handed us off to someone we’d never met, which felt unprofessional and confusing.
The event timeline fell behind, the grand entrance was delayed by about 30 minutes, and no one notified us so we could adjust. From that point on we were late on the whole timeline, and we ended up missing "golden hour" for sunset portraits. I wish she would have approached me at the scheduled time for the grand entrance to check in with me on making it happen.
Last-minute changes: Floor plans were delayed several times, and even at the rehearsal, staff were suggesting new tweaks instead of finalizing details earlier.
Parking challenges: Guest parking was extremely crowded, and we weren’t warned this could be an issue, which led to confusion and delays.
No bridal suite/bathrooms: There is no availabiltiy to get ready on site- they don't have a bridal suite and the bathroom is a small one toilet room, or a group of stalls shared by the Mission Bay Acquatic Center- you will have to get ready offsite and then sneak into the venue through the catering entrance in the parking lot.
In summary:
This is a truly beautiful venue. But the organizational side could use improvement. If you’re someone who can stay on top of the details (or hire a planner to help), it’s absolutely worth it for the setting. Just be prepared to take the lead on coordination to ensure your day runs smoothly.

We used a bartender that was coordinated for us by The Point. However, the bartender was at least 40 minutes late to our reception (Without an explanation or remedy from The Point). For a 4 hour reception with the first hour being a cocktail hour, this was a very frustrating situation.
I have not heard back from The Point about this.

e we had our reception was beautiful. Our florist and planner literally only had to do centerpieces and a runner. I think even without the runner it would have been beautiful. We had three outside venue options which was also a plus. They were so patient with us leading up to our day. Very cool calm and collected when we had many things on our minds. On the day, the team went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfectly. All of my guests were raving about the staff. I had a slight hiccup with another vendor, but The Point team sprung into action and made sure everything was figured out. The day of coordinator kept me on schedule and executed my wedding timeline to a tee.
The venue is gorgeous and very San Diego. We loved the view during the ceremony on the lawn. My guests liked that they could walk a short distance to enjoy the reception. We were looking to do many things ourselves from decorations to DJing to finding our own vendors and they made it easy to do so. It was incredibly helpful that they have all the chairs, tables, sound system(s), games, and outdoor seating included. The tables are beautiful and don't require linens. There were so many details already taken of by The Point that we could just focus on the fun parts of designing the event and planning the details we cared most about.
On the day of the wedding Gracie, Elizabeth, and Jasleen helped ensure things ran smoothly. As the bride, it was a huge weight off my shoulders knowing that we were in such capable hands. Our friends and family are still raving about the venue and how fun the entire event was. Kate was nothing short of incredible. She was so friendly, organized, flexible with our schedule and desires, and such a great communicator from start to finish. She helped us with lodging connections to local hotels and even contacted the city for us to see if we could get permitting for a pre-wedding event on a totally separate day. She was a dream!
The venue was exactly what we were looking for - casual enough that we could have a fun "cocktail style" wedding with no assigned seats but also fancy and beautiful enough that my wife's vision of her dream wedding could be realized. We loved that we were able to enjoy a gorgeous outdoor San Diego wedding on the grass overlooking 180 degree views of Mission Bay AND also have an indoor venue intimate enough for speeches and dancing.

oom for a party of 60 plus. There are plenty of windows that makes the inside bright. Nice large monitors that displayed beautiful beach scenes including pictures of our son and daughter in law. There was also a large screen for the slide show and a microphone system for tributes and speeches as well as a nice music sound system. We brought in our personalized table sets and decorations. At the end the Rehearsal dinner venue looked spectacular and very appealing, trendy, and elegant. The Point tables, bar area, and furniture were well placed that made the venue feel full but not crowded. There was also a covered garden area with firepits that the guests also enjoyed. Kim and Jenna did a great job in helping us plan and prepare for the event including recommending a food vendor and coordinating all the preparation and setup activities. pointment was and when she brought us up, mind you we had set our appointment 5 days ago. She then tells us,"Oh I'm sorry, your date that you requested for your wedding has been booked. In fact it was booked a week ago. Do you have another date you wanted to have your wedding?" We just walked out after that. They didn't deserve my business if they didn't even have the courtesy to let us know prior to our appointment. They even sent out two texts, the day before and and the day of making sure if we have any problems making it on time to give them a call. Yet they can't let you know that that your requested date has been booked. Some people people don't have flexibility for their wedding day.
