ity went above and beyond to help us plan and execute a perfect wedding day. Every single person we spoke to throughout the process was responsive, transparent, and proactive, which was incredibly helpful as we navigated the planning process from out of state. This is truly a full-service wedding venue with catering (and several other things) provided in-house and tons of excellent vendor partners, which helped immensely with our vendor selection. The standard for quality here is unbelievably high, so everything that was provided by the Press Room or recommended by the Press Room was of the best possible quality, as well as flawlessly executed. The small details at this venue are what really puts it a step above. The bridal suite is spacious with 5 hair and makeup stations plus a comfy seating area, tons of natural light, and hanging racks for dresses. We ordered breakfast through the Press Room, which was ready when we arrived and kept hot throughout the morning. Every staff member we interacted with on the wedding day was ready to step in to assist with any possible need, including random things like re-bustling my dress or making sure someone brought us appetizers after we finished our photos. We had about 135 guests, which is much smaller than the capacity of the Press Room, but they helped us plan a layout that used the space well so that it didn't feel like the room was overwhelmingly large. I could list many other things that I loved about working with the Press Room, but overall I will just say that I was extremely impressed by the quality, the value, and the truly full-service nature of the Press Room/Spaces in the City. I could not recommend it enough for any type of event!

hem, and the determination to make your dreams come true! The answer is never "no" with this team. They pulled off the most spectacular Winter Wonderland wedding for me and my husband. Planning was seamless; after every meeting my mom and I would take a sigh of relief knowing we had the best team in town. We have recommended them to everyone we know for future events, wedding, and parties.

thing was perfect EXCEPT for two huge things. These two things overshadow everything when I think of The Press Room. I remember all of the great and wonderful parts of my event, but these two issues are the first two things that come to mind, because they were such a mess. 1) We had two signature cocktails. I'm not sure how the drinks were laid out. I never went to the bar because other people were bringing me drinks all night, but from what I've heard the drinks were prepared and just sitting out on the counter for grabs. That would have been perfect if it had been an adult party, but it was well known that there were teenagers there and by the time the wedding was over I had a handful of DRUNK teens. That's not okay. That could make a place lose their liquor license! Luckily all of those kids made it home, but it made our wedding night pretty messy and some friendships were lost because of this. 2) We paid A LOT for the food that was served, and I mean A LOT! Food is easily the most expensive cost for a wedding. We had attended an Open House at The Press Room so that we could see the venue lit up at night, hear the house DJ and most importantly...try the foods! After that we carefully picked out the menu for our guests to enjoy. Our final guest count was 120, with 3 kids meals, so 117. We only had 104 guests show up. So technically that's 13 meals uneaten, plus plenty because we did a buffet style dinner and there is always enough made for people to go through and get seconds. Well, we were told that we would have some of our appetizer hour food in the bridal suite after the ceremony. We were given about 5 minutes to breath and relax, but when we got in the room, there was one SMALL plate with a couple things on it. I'm not even kidding when I say a couple pieces of salami, 3 cheese cubes and a few olives. THAT IS ALL. We were so hungry. We immediately went into the reception...We got nearly none of our appetizer hour food. Then during the reception our plates were made for us and served to us. Well, I don't eat red meat, but there was a big piece of it on my plate. Between all the people talking to us during dinner, neither of us finished our food. I didn't even finish my salad and I never even got to try the potatoes. I ate all my pasta, half of my chicken and half my salad. It was all DELICIOUS. I could have sat there and ate all night. At our final venue meeting I asked for to-go boxes to be packed so that we would have a meal to enjoy when we got to our hotel. That didn't happen. I'm glad I saw how much of our cake and cupcakes were sitting out right before we did our last dance. I asked a staff member to package it all up, neither of us had even had a cupcake yet! They did package up all of the cake and cupcakes, but they threw away my custom cake topper! By the time we got to our hotel, we were STARVING. all we had was cake. We got to talking about how neither of us were able to finish our plates and they didn't pack us to-go boxes. We had to order Papa Johns, because it was the only thing left open at 11pm on a Sunday. All of our food was donated to KARM without us even being asked about it. Had the food we paid for been packed up, our teens would have had meals while we were on our honeymoon and we would have eaten, and enjoyed! The little bit we got to taste was soooo yummy. So, to sum it up I ended my wedding night with a handful of WASTED teenagers and an empty stomach. I paid WAY TOO MUCH money to not have eaten any of that food. The Press Room needs to figure out a way to card people at the bar. I mean half these kids barley look 15 years old, no way they could pass for 21+!! Everything else was absolute perfection though :)
