TPIM was absolutely spectacular. They were incredibly organized and expertly coordinated our wedding. It was a pleasure working with them. They handled everything expertly, and provided a much needed sense of calm on what would otherwise have been very hectic and chaotic. They allowed us to enjoy our wedding by being so prepared and thorough. They held our hand through everything and helped execute our wedding perfectly. They even provided us some behind the scenes cell phone pictures that we really appreciated.

Normally I have a hard time fully handing things off because of those traits- but Chanler and her team did an amazing job. I was fully able to unplug from all the details and enjoy the day. Everything I scheduled went perfectly - and I had a lot of bells and whistles to watch. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

Chanler was an absolute godsend ahead of our upstate New York wedding. She asked all the right questions, helped us finalize all of the details, communicated everything with our vendors, and helped us navigate a last-minute tent debacle seamlessly. The day of our event, Chanler and Haley were rockstars and helped our day turn out more perfectly than we could have ever imagined — bringing cakes from the Airbnb to the venue, helping get all the details out on the tables for our guests, and untangling a very tricky necklace ahead of the ceremony. They even snuck in a few dance moves at the wedding! We are so incredibly grateful that we worked with TPIM and would recommend them to anyone.

We worked with TPIM and Lara for our wedding at Rule of Thirds in March and had a wonderful experience! We had not considered hiring a wedding coordinator however our venue required one and TPIM came highly recommended. Now I can’t imagine planning any event without Lara and her excellent team. We signed up for the day of coordination package and were well taken care of from day one. During our kick off call, Lara asked many questions to get to know us and listened carefully as we explained our vision. As part of this package, we received many helpful timelines, checklists, recommended vendor lists, tipping guides, and more. We also had monthly email check-ins where Lara answered our questions promptly and thoroughly. Thirty days out, Lara worked very closely with us and our many vendors to create our wedding day timeline and this process was seamless. Lara handled everything including our many last minute changes. She led a final walk through of the venue a week before our big day and made herself available 24/7. Our wedding day was truly magical thanks to Lara and her assistant Chanler. Once again, they handled everything – all we had to do was show up and get married. We loved Lara from the moment we met her! She is so kind, smart, and thoughtful - working with her is a dream! We were dreaming of an outdoor ceremony and she made it happen on a rainy day- and everyone stayed dry!! She has a calming energy that makes the huge task of planning a wedding feel manageable. Hiring Nicole from TPIM was the best decision we made while planning our wedding. As soon as we had Nicole on board we felt so much more at ease because we could tell she understood our vision, was sensitive to our needs and most of all, was the expert voice we came to rely on when we needed advice and guidance. TPIM is one of one. Lara was a breath of fresh air in our initial wedding planning process. It’s not a one size fits all process here—Lara really understood our vision and helped us figure out where we could use an extra set of hands. We worked with Nicole in the months leading up to our wedding and simply put, she’s a star. We had an intimate wedding but wanted our guests to feel very taken care of. This team did exactly that. Behind the scenes Nicole handled everything big and small, and communicated with us in such a loving and respectful way throughout the whole process. Early on in our venue search, we were debating whether an art gallery upstate would be a suitable (albeit unconventional) spot for our wedding. We cold reached out to a number of planners and coordinators on Instagram to get their takes before making a decision. Lara was the only one who responded - and so thoughtfully, asking for a video of the space and giving us her honest opinion. From that moment, we knew we wanted to work with Lara, even though we ultimately went with a different venue. She was incredibly communicative and supportive, and not at all fazed by some of our less traditional ideas. We chose to have a cocktail style event, with our ceremony at the end of the cocktail hour and she put together a timeline and floor plan that worked great. The event ran smoothly and we, and our guests, had the best time!

Working with Lara was an absolute dream. We decided on the one-month coordination package, so by the time Lara came in, we’d spent a lot of time planning on our own and were, admittedly, a little nervous about handing the reins over to someone else. Lara made it easy. She jumped right in with enthusiasm and knew exactly what needed to be done — often before we did. She even saved us when we realized we had forgotten about a few critical details (printing a seating chart and securing table numbers for us just a few days before the wedding). And she did it all with genuine warmth — it was clear that she truly wanted to make sure that our wedding went off without a hitch. It did, thanks to her.

Weddings are like life: you show up knowing absolutely nothing, a novice, completely unprepared with no prior experience and nothing of the same magnitude to compare it to. You do your best, you make mistakes, and you learn what you can along the way. You bump into things in the dark. By the time you finally know what there is to know, it’s all over. For people who like to know what they’re doing, the massive first-time/one-time undertaking of planning a wedding can be very hard…unless you have an expert on your team. Having Lara on our side made all the difference. She has so much knowledge and she carries it like a lantern to help others. No question was too big, too small, or too silly. She educated us and advocated for us, and her insights helped us find our own way AND be better clients to our whole team (something which really mattered to us in a record year of weddings). She made the entire process clearer and more manageable, less of a guessing game. It was a relief throughout the entire process knowing she was there for us. And we would work with her again if we could. But since we can’t, you definitely should. Thank you, Lara!

This review is long overdue as I’ve been working with Lara and her team since 2018 and I can’t begin to explain how incredible they are! We first signed on with TPIM to help with venue hunting and quickly knew we needed to book them to help coordinate our day. From the first phone call, Lara was so helpful and knew how to make our vision come to life. She was organized and thought of everything for the big day. Our wedding was originally scheduled for May 2020 but the pandemic halted our plans and forced us to cancel on three separate occasions. Lara was so kind and understanding each time we had to make a change. She did everything in her power to make that time easier for us; whether it be checking in with me or reaching out to vendors to be sure the new date worked for everyone. About three months before the wedding, the venue informed me that our date had been double booked and I was forced to find a new reception space. Even though TPIM was only hired for day of coordination, Lara jumped into action and helped us secure a new venue. She coached me on how to talk with the venue and negotiate our new space and I’ll be forever grateful for the support she gave me during that crazy time. Amberlyn was our head wedding planner for the big day and she was amazing. She has so much experience in the wedding industry and knew exactly what to ask during venue visits. She was very responsive leading up to the wedding and her communication with the vendor team really helped everything run smoothly. On the day of, Amberlyn and Nicole were incredible. They were calm and organized and I truly didn’t need to worry about a thing. The day was perfect and we really couldn’t have asked for a better team. Just a quick note of appreciation and thanks for TPIM, especially Anita. Anita's insights were invaluable and even though I knew she was stacked with weddings, I felt like I was the only bride she was working with. She calmed my nerves, steered me in the right direction, handled vendors with ease, was up to speed in an instant and ran the event seamlessly. We literally could not have done it without her! And she was such a pleasure to work with - I felt like I was working with a friend and it made the experience even more wonderful.

She is so easy to communicate with and always available to help squash worries or tackle some quick problem solving. On the day of they were incredible to work with and truly we felt all our wedding day anxieties melt away as we saw them work and coordinate with the other vendors and venue staff. Book TPIM now! I hired TPIM for their day-of-coordination package and it was definitely worthwhile. Even with the day-of package, Lara and her team provided thorough pre-wedding and wedding day preparation guidelines and was in touch with me monthly to help answer questions. My coordinator, Nicole, was honestly the best. My family and friends all loved her attention to detail, positive energy, and quick thinking as we navigated a really hectic wedding day. Being very type A organized people we never anticipated hiring or needing a planner until last minute our reception required one. We came across TPIM among many other planners and they stood out for their insight and personal approach to our needs. Lara was great getting the ball rolling and then we were put into contact with Krista who would be our head planner for the day. She was truly the MVP of our wedding day and had every detail and then some in preparation. There wasn’t a question she couldn’t answer or a situation she couldn’t fix. As a person who did not think hiring a coordinator was necessary at first, I am so grateful we did!! We had Amberlyn for our month-of coordination, but she was so helpful in the months leading up to our wedding with tips and advice along the way. Day-of, she was a calm, confident, and expert presence that made everything run smoothly. There were a lot of details we had in how we wanted things to go, and she helped us hit all of those marks. Would definitely recommend to all, even if you aren't having a huge wedding!

Where to start with Lara Mahler, so many amazing things to say. In hiring a planner (and all vendors) I was very selective and interviewed at least 3+ people before making a decision. For me, it was important to have a calm presence around me for the day while still ensuring I had the best professionals supporting us. When I spoke to Lara I knew this was the case. She was as amazing as I hoped for. Lara was able to problem solve in the moment (for very strange obstacles my venue created), keep everyone calm and was such an amazing sounding board. Lara goes over the top for her brides and is never bothered or too busy to listen. It is seriously a no brainer to hire her. My only and biggest regret was not bringing her on sooner, I should have had her with me 6+ months out and I would have been way more sane juggling my job and the wedding planning :). You will not regret spending the money, just do it.

I can honestly say that my wedding was perfect because I hired The Privilege Is Mine. Lara and her team made sure everything happened seamlessly from start to finish throughout the day. Before the wedding, she was extremely thorough and made sure that she had a clear understanding of our vision of the day. Lara, Amberlyn, and Nicole were such a pleasure to work with for our 5/1 wedding! We went with the short-term "day-of" package which actually included monthly check-ins the couple months leading up to the wedding and full service 2 weeks out! Amberlyn was absolutely perfect the day-of. The second she arrived at the bridal suite (right on time), I felt at-ease that the day was going to go as smoothly as it could. She was there to hold my bouquet at times I didn't even know I needed someone to hold my bouquet, she was there with a sponge to dab my ugly tears after our first look, she was there to remind me to take a deep breath before walking down the aisle, and she even packaged up leftover food to put in our suite for us to devour when we got back. Thank you for making our day so perfect!!

We worked with Erin for the month leading up to our wedding. She was exactly what we were hoping for in a wedding planner, and so much more. She asked all the right questions, and brought up so many important points and great ideas we hadn't even considered. We had a fairly specific vision in mind and she was always supportive in working with us to bring that vision to life. More than anything, though, she calmed us down significantly. On the day of the wedding, she brought such amazing energy with her, keeping all of us on schedule, answering any and all questions from us and our families, and never appearing stressed. We've heard from friends that there are always issues that come up throughout your wedding day. But in our case, we experienced none. Whether this was because of Erin and TPIM's forethought and planning, or their quick action on the day of the wedding, we don't know, but either way they could not have made things go more smoothly. We also heard from multiple vendors how great it was working with Erin. They complimented her clarity, organization and professionalism. Nicole from TPIM joined on our wedding day as well and was equally wonderful, staying on top of the details and keeping us all relaxed. We do not plan on getting married again, but if we did we would hire Erin and TPIM in a heartbeat. Thank you thank you thank you!

Thank goodness for The Privilege is Mine. I signed on to work with Lara and TPIM before the pandemic for a May 2021 wedding. When Covid and lockdown started, Lara made sure to check in with me, which was thoughtful considering the world was in such a state. When we decided to postpone our wedding, Lara was quick to respond and ready to sign on for a new date. Because of her quick response, we were able to get a new date and keep all of our contracted vendors for a 2022 wedding. Since we signed up for the package that includes day-of coordination and two months of working together prior to the event, I had a lot of time to plan on my own and get more and more anxious. I was actually getting heart palpitations with my anxiety. And I'm not kidding, once my two months with Lara began, those heart palpitations eased. I felt cared for. Lara brought a level of calm that I couldn't have found on my own. She came up with alternatives to problems that I never would have thought of. Since I'm very detail-oriented, I asked detailed [annoying] questions, and she gave thought and care to her answers, even when I thought I was being annoying. She was quick to hop on a call when I needed to talk. My gorgeous day in May turned out to be a cold rainy day, but it didn't matter at all. They made the indoor space look cozy and beautiful. Though I had been communicating with Lara for years and knew her well, on the day of the event I met her assistant coordinator, Anita, and I was instantly comfortable with her. Anita was kind, fun, and efficient, and made the crazy "backstage" stuff smooth and enjoyable. Throughout the evening, Lara kept everything running, cued people for speeches, kept me aware of things I needed to know, but also purposely left me out of things I didn't need to know. On the day of the wedding, I didn't want to worry about anything--I didn't want to know the time, I didn't want to know what was happening next--I just left it up to Lara and TPIM. And at the end of the evening, the TPIM team was a flurry of efficient packing up--they were awesome! In summary: if you are an anxious, detail-oriented person like me who doesn't always trust other people to get the job done, you can trust The Privilege is Mine. I'm very grateful for them.

We worked with Krista, and on the day-of she and the team were amazing! We stayed ahead of schedule, something my husband and I were really concerned about due to pictures, and we were able to get all of the pictures we wanted before the sun set. We hired TPIM for our Day of Coordinator. Nicole & Lara were super hands on weeks before the wedding, as well as extremely organized and responsive to any question we had! Lara and her team are professional, understanding, and flexible. We chose the day of coordination package, since we did want to do the majority of the planning ourselves, but definitely needed a professional to be on site and help us execute our vision the weeks leading up to the wedding. Being how neurotic and stressed I can get, it was SO comforting to see how much of a calming presence Lara had, when I first spoke with her on the phone. She asked great questions about what we were looking for, our vision, our budget, our concerns - and tailored her recommendations by providing us the best options to choose from.  Even though what we chose was "the day of coordination" - Lara checked in every month to make sure that everything was going smoothly, helped to answer whatever questions that I had, and I still felt like she was supporting us throughout the entire time, NOT just a couple weeks before the wedding. Now. Anita Pandian - aka our guardian angel. Anita was everything I've ever wanted in a planner/day-of-coordinator/partner. She was always punctual, quick with her responses, organized and thorough, and honestly, made sure that everything - including the smallest details - was taken care of leading up to, and on the day of the wedding. No matter how organized and Type A you think you are, trust me, there are things that you can and will miss or things that won't even cross your mind - having a professional there on your team is absolutely necessary. We cannot thank Anita enough for really being there for us. NYC BRIDES - HIRE TPIM!! Hiring them was the best money we ever spent. We worked with Lara (founder), Nicole (head planner), and Krista (assistant planner). I’m so happy I stumbled upon TPIM the knot. In amongst a sea of corny / cheesy wedding planning services, I found Lara, an alternative, Brooklyn, cool girl planner who understood my vision and aversion to tradition — and who helped us create the most authentic and “true to us” version of a wedding that we could ever imagine, which still honored my husband's religion in way that didn’t feel stuffy or old school, and that celebrated our love for new york and for one another. It was the chicest and coolest wedding of all time!! We originally started working with Lara specifically when we first got in engaged - we did not know where to start, and she helped us sort out our budget, pick our incredible vendors, work through contracts, ask all the right questions, and work through all the logistical things you don't realize you need to think about. She also ensured we were covered (with Nicole's help) when she went out on maternity leave, and even sprung right back into action even after JUST becoming a new mom to her sweet baby girl. On the day of our wedding, we had the dream team of Lara, Nicole and Krista making our dream event a reality. Krista made sure all of our guests got on our transportation on time (NOT an easy feat) and kept us organized, while Nicole was our right hand woman throughout the day. She did everything from making sure our wedding playlists were correct during our ceremony, lining up our wedding party, making sure our speeches were in order and helping keep us on time with our first dances, etc, and even making sure i had a drink in my hand & helped my bridesmaids bustle my particularly difficult dress (ha!). Not only are Krista, Lara and Nicole some of the world's best planners, but they are truly wonderful people and i'm so happy we had them by our side during the best weekend of our lives. Lara also has an incredibly inclusive and accessible business model, meaning she has different tiers of pricing for couples in all different types of financial situations. No matter who you are, you can afford to work with TPIM -- and you absolutely should!! All the love in the world to Lara & TPIM.

Listen. My wedding day was made totally stress free, so full of JOY and KINDNESS because of Krista and Amberlyn at TPIM. I had planned my own wedding, and only hired them for their day-of coordination services and they take over 2 weeks prior to the wedding. I work F/T 50hrs a week, and getting married in midtown Manhattan is no joke. TPIM is NYC-based! They KNOW what they're doing! They are calm, collected, reliable, consistent, and most importantly - they are so so SO kind hearted and loving. They love to make you feel special, they love weddings, and I got more than what I paid for. They are AFFORDABLE! My wedding day started at 6.45am (makeup/hair) and then the formal ceremony and reception started at 11.30am and ended at 3pm. They customized the pricing fit for me and our budget. Lara and Amberlyn from The Privilege Is Mine were amazing. Our wedding planning was somewhat drawn out, due to Covid. We worked closely with Lara on the original wedding, set for Fall 2020. She provided vendor recommendations that ultimately proved to be excellent, helped us work through the timeline, and eventually helped us postpone everything by a year. When we picked things up a year later, she helped us negotiate a replacement venue from the management of our original one, which permanently closed during the pandemic, and helped us develop revised plans with our vendors due to the location change. Amberlyn worked closely with the venue and vendors to sort out all of the details, like layout, timelines, and logistics, leaving us to just provide general feedback on how we wanted the day to unfold. The day of, she took care of everything, leaving us to relax and enjoy the party. She went well beyond our expectations. The wedding itself was a huge success. Everything went off flawlessly, and we received many compliments on all aspects of the event. This is in large part due to Lara and Amberlyn's excellent recommendations and suggestions, hard work, experience, and attention to detail. Thank you again for making our special day such a success!

This team is AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things about TPIM and I would recommend them to anyone. Lara and Anita were fantastic to work with – both so supportive, professional, and organized. We first signed on for day of coordination in early 2020 with Lara and when we had to postpone our wedding celebrations multiple times, Lara was with us every step of the way. Her passion and dedication to helping her clients is incredible. After many e-mails, phone calls, and FaceTime’s later, we finally were able to celebrate our reception in November 2021 with Anita taking on the role as head planner and the day was perfect in every way! Krista saved our wedding, and we couldn't have pulled things off without her. From the first email communication to the wedding day, she was the definition of a professional. When our venue's event manager quit two weeks before our wedding and completely left us hanging with several unattended items, Krista stepped up to manage the situation. Not only was our wedding day a smashing success due to her execution and communication abilities, but our vendors were so impressed that they wanted her contact information for future recommendations. TPIM has been by our side since we initially began planning our wedding in 2019. From our first meeting with Lara and team, I knew we would be in capable and caring hands. Fast forward through three rescheduled dates and a difficult venue, Anita had an answer to every single question we had. Poised and pragmatic, she kept me organized and took care of all the details behind the scenes eliminating any worries I could have had. Max and I were so impressed with her dedication to our details and had the best night we could have imagined! I couldn't have done this without TPIM and would recommend this team of hardworking, smart, kind and all around lovely women to anyone planning their wedding.

TPIM was such a patient and sweet partner with us during our unintended 2+ year engagement, as our wedding had to be postponed and changed multiple times due to Covid. Lara had so much empathy and sympathy for us throughout the process, which we really appreciated, and vendors throughout the industry really love and respect Lara/TPIM. In the final stretch of our wedding planning, Anita jumped in and really helped kick us into gear haha, since we were behind on a lot due to all the changes in plan. She was so organized, on-it, communicative, and patient -- never made us feel badly for having 100 questions etc. And on the day of, made sure we stayed really on-task but also had a calming presence. So appreciative!

We could not have pulled off our wedding without Lara, Nicole and their team. From easing our nerves at the early stages of planning to coordinating vendors on the day of, TPIM was a delight to work with and went above and beyond our expectations. We initially worked with them to help us find a caterer, and then they helped us work through a pandemic postponement and a complete change in our venue, catering and guest count. Lara and her team made the daunting tasks that go along with planning–like seeking out and comparing vendors to making that final checklist of things to bring to the venue– manageable and easy. The first thing I recommend to my friends who are starting wedding planning is to consider a planner. The service pays for itself, and I can't wait to pass along TPIM's contact to those friends! So grateful to have had Nicole and Amberlynn for our big day. I'm a bit of a type-A control freak, but I didn't want to be stressed and not enjoy my wedding day. It was a bit of a late-in-the-game decision to hire a day-of coordinator, but I'm 100% glad we did. It was SO nice to be able to just enjoy the day and not have to be on top of everything and coordinating with all the involved parties (and there are SO many). It was amazing peace of mind to be able to just hand things off to Nicole and Amberlynn and trust that everything would go well -- and it all did. We seriously had a perfect day and there's not one thing we wish would have gone differently. I was skeptical that we needed any sort of planner (I'm pretty type-A) but TPIM's day-of coordination paid for itself 10-times over. Amberlyn started coordination a few weeks before our wedding, and she very quickly got up to speed on our plans, connected with all of our vendors, and took over coordinating a lot of the small details, identifying a few things that we hadn't thought of (e.g. that we needed table card holders!). She jumped into action to coordinate new City-issued COVID protocols, which relieved a lot of stress on our end, and was quick to problem solve some other issues that arose. Lara and Amberlyn were extremely helpful sounding boards in the months and weeks leading up to our wedding. I cannot recommend TPIM/Amberlyn highly enough!

Anita was the absolute best! I don't think I would have been able to make it happen without her. She swept in a month before my wedding and handled all the little details. From ensuring I had enough florals, creating and perfecting the timeline and floor plans, and even helping me decide on which earrings to wear the day of. She was truly my go to person for absolutely everything. Thank you TPIM!

Lara, Nicole and Amber Lynn are the BEST of the best. Throughout both our first (cancelled, due to Covid) and second (smaller and local) wedding plans, they provided calm and helpful support. I hired Lara for 6 month coordination when I first started planning my wedding back in 2019. Right away I was confident that she would be amazing at helping me pull together all of the details for our day. When we had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021, she was so helpful at helping us coordinate and keep us on track. When she told me the exciting news that she was expecting (yay!) and wouldn't be able to be there day of, she introduced me to her associate planner Nicole and the three of us worked together right up until the day of the wedding. Nicole absolutely NAILED IT day of and kept me sane in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Any time I had a question or idea I would run it by her and she was always cool, calm, and collected and made it happen. Absolutely all star 10/10 service from this planning team, our wedding would not have been as amazing as it was without them!

Our wedding had to be rescheduled due to the Pandemic, and we had to change every part of our original plan. When we found Lara and her team, we immediately felt relief. Not only did she help us find our new venue (that was PERFECT for our 40 person gathering), but eased all of our concerns, helped us detail our day, and coordinate everything so perfectly that when I arrived to walk down the aisle I had the biggest smile on my face at how stunning it looked. I can't recommend Lara, Nicole, and her team more- they truly created a magical day for us that we will never forget.

TPIM is a dream team!! We had 2 1/2 years of on and off wedding planning due to the pandemic and Lara was such a comforting and professional voice to help us through. We decided on an elopement on our original date and a micro wedding a year later. The team was able to get everything organized and ready to go in 2 weeks and everything went so well! SO glad that we decided to work with Lara & her team for our small NYC wedding earlier this month. I admittedly went into the process a bit unsure of what exactly TPIM would help with in the month before our wedding and day-of, but now I know! They made the entire process so smooth & easy for us. Even as a very organized/ "type A" person myself, not having to develop a timeline, coordinate with vendors, or worry about any last-minute details was more valuable that I could have ever imagined. Lara was amazing! It really made a huge difference in the planning process to have someone to take care of business and be there to bounce ideas on without making us feel pressured. We opted for the online package 1, since we are having a destination wedding and it was the best investment so far. We are extremely pleased with the services and I would recommend 100% if you want a professional wedding planner who will be a great communicator, efficient, knowledgeable and at the same time someone who will help you ease that wedding anxiety and relax to be able to enjoy the planning process.
