She helped us choose the perfect venues for the ceremony and reception and both venues captured the essence of our daughter's elegant garden party vision perfectly. Planning a wedding from afar can be overwhelming, but Kerri made the process incredibly smooth. She was always available to answer our questions, provide updates, and offer suggestions that made the vendor selection process much easier. Her attention to detail was remarkable; she thought of things we hadn't even considered, making sure our daughter's wedding was not just beautiful but also functional, comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. On the day of the wedding, everything was executed perfectly. Danielle, Lela and their team were on top of every aspect, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy our special day. The Proper Setting team and the other vendors we hired (caterer, photographers, DJ, videographer, decorator, rental company, baker and florist) often work together on events and they did so flawlessly during our wedding. ce we were planning from DC. Kerri was absolutely fantastic! Even though we booked her on shorter notice than is typical for wedding planners (about 7 months before the wedding), she jumped right in. She took the time up front to figure out what we wanted from our day (lots of time with friends and family) and helped us structure a day that allowed us to do just that. She offered great suggestions for vendors, but never tried to box us into using anyone specific. She also gave us great suggestions for all the different ways we could use our venue, but never tried to make us stick to what she had done there in the past. Kerri was both very organized and super flexible. For example, the week before the wedding, I changed the timing of my dress change. The day of the wedding, Kerri reminded me of the change in schedule, but I had forgotten. She immediately pivoted and started brainstorming on how to reorganize the entire reception! Fortunately, I remembered and we didn’t have to make any major changes, but that just goes to show how completely committed Kerri is to making sure you are happy with your day. She even went above and beyond by helping care for the citrus trees that were part of our decor! Kerri and her assistant, Danielle, are bright, personable, completely unflappable, and best of all committed to helping you have the wedding that you want. I'm so happy I got the chance to work with them, and even happier with the way the wedding turned out :-)

Kerri always made us feel heard as a couple and went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences, while also providing expert advice that improved every aspect of the day. Her organizational skills were incredible—she kept us on track with timelines, coordinated seamlessly with vendors, and handled all the little details that could easily be overlooked. On the day of our wedding, Kerri and her team were an absolute dream. Everything ran smoothly, and all we had to do was relax and enjoy the celebration. The venue looked breathtaking, the timeline flowed perfectly, and we had complete confidence knowing that Kerri was behind the scenes making sure everything was flawless.
