Most beautiful place on Earth.
My fiancee and I just had our dream Yosemite wedding two weeks ago, and we were so lucky and blessed to have our reception at the Redwoods in Yosemite. Janine (our contact) was super helpful and responded super fast when I had reached out. Even though it's just a venue space, they were able to provide us a list of vendors and definitely allowed us to have a more DIY vibe to our wedding. It also super nice that it's one of the few spaces that is actually inside of Yosemite National park, making it a truly unique location. They also offered a great discount for our family and friends to stay an their cabins within Wawona, which was super nice considering we had lots of family coming from out of town. Definitely consider checking them out.
Our daughter and son-in-law were married at Sentinel Beach in Yosemite and had their reception at the Redwoods Event Center. It was a wonderful day and the Redwoods staff went above and beyond to help with all of the details and last minute preparations. All of our guests (approximately 70) stayed in cabins at the Redwoods, which worked out perfectly since our guests could all walk to the event. The center was not booked the day before our reception, so we were able to set up early and clean up the day afterwards. We had tables set up inside and on the deck, which worked very well since some guests preferred one or the other. Willow Creek provided our food and Christina White was our DJ, they were both wonderful. I would highly recommend the Redwoods if you are looking for a rustic setting in Yosemite. It was absolutely perfect for us!!
We knew early on that we wanted a forest/mountain wedding, but all of the options in the Bay Area were ridiculously expensive. Yosemite was always a special place for us, and we knew that the ceremony fee inside the park was cheap, so we started exploring reception options in the area. There aren't many, and they're all expensive EXCEPT for The Redwoods. Not only is this venue very reasonably priced, but it's a perfect and convenient spot for all of your guests to stay. Most of our guests stayed in cabins together, met new people, and made new friends. The cabins themselves were also one of the most affordable lodging options in the area by far. The Event Center itself was great--no frills but still a lovely area with both indoor and outdoor spaces, which was perfect for a summer evening reception. (Pro-Tip: Keep in mind fire season when choosing your wedding date! May-June is probably best because it's getting warm, the tourists haven't flooded in, and fire season is just getting started.) Also worth noting--Janine at The Redwoods is very experienced working with Willow Creek Catering and Sweet Dreams Cakes & Flowers, which made our whole reception easy to plan and execute. The Redwoods was also fantastic in that they let us set up our reception a day early because they didn't have any other events planned before ours. SUPER helpful and made the wedding day stress-free. This is not something that was allowed at any other venue we looked at.
Book this place! You won’t regret it! Everyone at the Redwoods in Yosemite was super helpful and kind!! They helped our wedding go smoothly! The day of our wedding, the water company and power company had a mishap with the water and had to shut it off. All the employees were literally running around trying to fix things so that we wouldn’t be affected. The one cabin in our group that was affected and couldn’t shower, were given access to showers and water. I’m not sure what they did but we had water by the time of the party! From the beginning I felt so comfortable with their staff, especially Janine who was an absolute angel! The cabins are all walking distance to each other and the event center. The cabins were very comfortable and pretty. They were stocked with everything we needed. We had our ceremony in the front yard of one of the cabins and by the time we checked in (a day before the wedding) everything was all set up! We just decorated. Everything was beautiful and amazing! Definitely recommend! We had wedding guest say, that they would definitely get married there too!
If you’re looking for a complete DIY wedding this venue is for you. Redwoods of Yosemite offers a beautiful place to have your wedding, accommodations for your guests, and tables and chairs for ceremony and reception. I had my ceremony in front of cabin 64 (river cabin) and my reception at the event center. I was originally going to get married in the valley but I am SO GLAD I didn’t. Between getting married at 3pm and having the reception at 6pm I felt like we ran out of time to take photos at all the beautiful places redwoods of yosemite had to offer. For catering and bar tending services we used “classic catering” from Clovis/fresno and for photography we used Krystal Preciado. I am so happy with how everything turned out. Having a DIY wedding saved us 5k because we weren’t restricted to what vendors we wanted to use and we purchased our own alcohol from Costco and just paid the catering company for bar tending services. I loved how everyone worked so seamlessly together.
We had an amazing stay for our elopement. This was our second time staying at the Redwoods and won’t be out last. Janine is so lovely and helped me with all of our wedding plans in coordinating changes due to covid. I highly recommend them!
