From there we were assigned the queen herself, Maggie, to help us with all things venue related. I looked forward to chatting with Maggie about even the smallest detail. She made wedding planning fun and not stressful. She helped us with the room block, valet info, meals/cake, our own personal room and so much more. Maggie even helped set up the ball room to help me bring my vision to life. We had a last minute change of cocktail hour from outside to inside due to rain, but you wouldn’t have even known it was supposed to be elsewhere. The entire day flowed perfectly. The waitstaff and bartenders were fun and attentive. The reception and housekeeping greeted everyone in a way that we all felt like we were visiting family for the weekend. We truly appreciate everything everyone at the reeds did for us and how we just had to show up. They took care of the rest.

When we had our tasting we were introduced to Maggie who handled everything for us with the upmost professionalism in the final 6 month stretch of planning. On our wedding weekend, we were welcomed with some special treats in our room and truly felt like the hotel and the staff were there for everything we needed. Going forward to the day of - everything ran completely smooth and even when bad weather approached Maggie and her team were flexible and accommodating not only for the wedding but photos before as well as the guest experience. Every single person who attended our wedding raved about the food, service, drinks and complete experience - praising it as top tier for all categories. I cannot say enough good things about the Reeds and everyone involved. We will be back for anniversaries as well as other events through our married lives (and the occasional dinner/drinks during the summer)! Thank you Reeds team!

It truly has everything you need including a GORGEOUS outdoor area where the ceremony was held. The Reeds checked every box and my husband and I are already looking forward to celebrating our first anniversary at the hotel!

They helped us plan out options for a cold day, and let us embrace and trust in a warm day which is exactly what we got and it could not have been more beautiful out by the bay! From the coordination/ planning meetings, site visits, tasting events, and getting ready for the big weekend- they were both there for us for any questions we had big or small. They offered their advice and professional opinions when asked. Elizabeth even helped us when we needed a witness at our marriage license appointment during the lead up. They truly supported us every step of the way, and continued to share the love afterwards. Outside of the dynamic planning team, the waiters/waitresses, cooks, baker, bartenders, and property staff made the long weekend a breeze and a true delight for our guests. From the second you drive up, the valet and front desk staff welcome you and help you feel situated with grace. At the weekend send off they were helpful with storing items left around the property night of event and during the getting ready process. Everything always felt as if it was handled with whiteglove service. Outside of the wedding process, The Reeds has been a special retreat for our family for years. It continues to hold up to its legacy with great service all year round. We are looking forward to visiting again soon and highly recommend anyone else considering the venue books an overnight!

We hosted an entire weekend of events at The Reeds ( Welcome dinner, Wedding, Wedding Reception, and Brunch) Liz was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and beyond organized. She was so friendly it got to the point we looked forward to seeing her at our meetings to discuss our wedding plans and all of the things that transpired in her life and ours since our last meeting. Liz guided us all the way through the deposit process. Once all of our deposits were made Liz passed us off to our Coordinator Maggie. I can not say enough about Maggie. She was an absolute delight to work with. She was patient, kind, organized, and kept me on track through the whole process. I was an older bride with a lot of moving parts in my life. She made sure I hit every deadline and answered every questions, sometimes the same question multiple times.. LOL!! She did it lovingly. Nothing was a problem. She could fix any hiccup that came our way. Maggie was by our side every singe step of the way the weekend of our wedding. I do not know how I would have gotten through the process without her. We were so grateful that she was chosen to be our coordinator and in the end our friend. The Staff (bartenders/servers) at all of our events were professional and a pleasure to work with. The food was amazing. We are still getting compliments from our guests with what a beautiful wedding it was and how amazing the food was!!!! Our Wedding Day could not have been more perfect. The wedding set up was perfect and the back drop of the bay at sunset was breathtaking. There is nowhere that could have been more perfect for our wedding then The Reeds. It far exceeded any expectation I could have ever had for our special day.

Rates changed depending on availability, and once we paid the deposit, we were told it was non-refundable—yet leadership later contradicted that. Our concerns were not addressed, and overall, the experience caused unnecessary stress during what should’ve been a joyful planning process.

We were so lucky with the weather and we’re able to have the ceremony & cocktail hour outside overlooking the bay even on a November date. Ceandra was so amazing in helping take place, with stunning floral arrangements and a charming gazebo that created a picture-perfect backdrop. Inside the venue, the reception hall was spacious, yet intimate, with elegant chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows that allowed natural light to flood the space. The ballroom had a cozy vibe while still feeling grand and sophisticated. We received so many compliments from our guests on how gorgeous the venue was, and it truly exceeded our expectations. One of the best aspects of The Reeds was the service. Ceandra was a dream to work with! ability to anticipate our needs before we even knew what we needed. They worked seamlessly with our vendors and ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. On the wedding day, Ceandra was calm, organized, and a true problem-solver, handling everything without us ever having to worry about a thing. From the coordinator to the catering staff, we felt completely supported throughout the entire process. The entire staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring every detail was handled with care. In terms of location, it was easy for our guests to get to, and there was ample parking especially in the off-season. It is a perfect venue for anyone that is looking to have it all in one spot. A stunning sunset water view ceremony & cocktail hour, a luxury seating reception dinner with dancing, an after party/Bar space that allows for the celebration to continue, all while at a gorgeous hotel with 5 star service. If you’re looking for a venue that offers coastal chic, fantastic service, and a memorable experience, I highly recommend The Reeds. It’s an ideal choice for couples who want a blend of elegance and charm, with plenty of flexibility to personalize the day.

the Reeds made our experience seamless. Each member of our team was always there to answer our questions through a phone call, email, or an in person meeting. Additionally, Jess was there to help with anything we needed on our Wedding Day. Not only was the Reeds team amazing, but the venue itself is beautiful. The way the doors of the ballroom opened up and guests could enjoy both the inside and outside atmosphere. Lastly, the food was delicious and guests raved over the variety of options.

f the water with just how amazing all of the offerings and amenities are for a wedding. Our initial tour with Liz was informative, detailed and captivating. And although Liz doesn’t work with the couples directly after signing, she was there on our big day and even played a part in sending me down the aisle. Ceandra is amazing and such a gift to all of the couples that get to work with her. She kept us calm during our wedding planning process and consistently ensured our wedding day was going to be all that we hoped and dreamed for. From the moment we stepped foot onsite to check in to the moment we hugged the team goodbye, our experience was exceptional and we cannot wait to return back to the venue to celebrate again soon!

g. The food and decorations were on point and our family and friends still talk about our day, and how great it was. While the staff and coordinators were amazing, there are two improvements come to mind given the expense of this venue: 1) Clean the Suite Floors: As others have mentioned in their reviews, I didn’t think this would still be an issue but it was. Our suite which my bridal party got ready in had very dirty floors and the day of our wedding my bridesmaids and I had to wash off our feet in the shower 5 times!!!! That is absurd given the price and reputation of this establishment. My MOH had to let our coordinator know and they finally went in to mop the floors, which was wonderful but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Despite this setback, that didn’t ruin our experience. 2) While our wedding coordinator was fantastic, she wasn’t always readily available and we didn’t have her cellphone number. This caused some hiccups along the way. Do yourself a favor and get a wedding planner to work with the coordinator. Don’t stress yourself out by doing it yourself.

The hotel was lovely, and we had no issues even as the venue was booked for weddings each night of the weekend. Our guests had a wonderful time, and everything worked out great! It's expensive because they do it well!

I loved The Reeds before even touring, but once we were able to really see the spaces in person, I knew this was the place for our wedding. We wanted a place where we could do everything on-site and get a chance to spend the whole weekend with our guests in one location and this was definitely the spot for us! Once we booked, Liz was always available to answer any questions as they came up. As we got closer to our wedding date, we were connected with the person who would be our main contact for the detailed planning and on the day of our wedding, Ceandra. Ceandra was so sweet and easy to work with the entire time. Ceandra and Liz both attended our details meeting and we were able to discuss all of our plans, decide on our menu, ask questions, and plan for the big day. We did things a bit out of order because of our schedules and attended the tasting after the planning meeting, but that did not stop us from enjoying everything that was offered. The tasting had such a wide variety of the menu options and allowed us to get a sense of the quality of food and beverages offered. It was just amazing how much food was offered and how good everything was!! It also allowed us to see the wedding team in action. Following the tasting, the time to the wedding moved pretty quickly for us and Ceandra was in contact as often as needed and helped with all of the final details. I cannot even begin to explain how perfect our wedding weekend was. Ceandra and every team member at The Reeds made sure that everything went smoothly and according to plan during our entire stay. We met Ceandra for our drop off and did a final review of all the plans for the day. The next day, we had our rehearsal on-site, followed by our Rehearsal Dinner on the Roof Garden. The morning of the wedding, we used our space in the Skye Suite (which was SPECTACULAR) for getting hair and make-up done. We utilized various spaces on-site for our first look, bridal party, and family photos and even took a quick trip to the beach in one of their golf carts for beach photos. The outdoor ceremony site at The Reeds provided a gorgeous backdrop of our wedding ceremony and then from there, we partied all night long! The cocktail hour on the patio allowed so much space for guests to mingle and enjoy time together, and the views could not be beat. Once the reception began, everything stayed on track with the timeline and the team continued to check in with us as the evening progressed. Throughout the entire evening, guests were coming up to us telling us this was the best wedding they had ever attended!! I'm still hearing from family and friends that the bartenders and wait staff were the best they had ever encountered at a weeding. We did not want the wedding to end and were thankful that we planned the After Party at the Crew Room in the Stone Harbor Pizza Pub. It was the perfect way to keep the party going and spend more time with our guests. For our final event, we were back to the Roof Garden for the post-wedding breakfast and everyone had a chance to relive the fun from the night before and say their goodbyes. Everything was perfect!!

The BEO and paperwork kept things extremely transparent and organized leading up to our wedding day, and Ceandra was my brain the day of the wedding - keeping us on track and checking in with the timelines as we needed to move things along. The hotel staff was phenomenal and extremely trustworthy - from some guests leaving cards with the front desk and them letting us know, to the valet guys asking us how our wedding went and the salon staff checking in on the weather. It felt like we were family to everyone! The food was amazing, the venue was GORGEOUS and all of our guests were blown away by the day. Using the Ready Room at the Salt Spa made the whole morning so easy not having to worry where the girls were getting ready at, and the guys were able to hangout in their own separate room on the hotel side. Beds comfy, rooms clean and truly have the whole wedding thing down to a science. LOVE LOVE LOVED our day. Can't say enough good things.

heir complimentary food tasting a few months prior to the wedding. They set it up like a mock wedding and we met other couples, and got to try the food and see the hotel rooms. On the day of the wedding the best part was throughout cocktail hour and the reception, the wait staff was amazing. They were super attentive, made us plates of food, checked in to see if we needed drinks often, and just overall made us feel important throughout the entire night. The hotel staff all knew us by name and were extremely helpful. Even my parents were impressed with the service and felt like they had their own personal waitress for anything they needed. Jess, our Day of Coordinator was so helpful and organized leading up to the wedding, as well as on the day of. She answered emails quickly and was extremely helpful even with the 100 questions I sent her every week leading up to the wedding. With all that being said, when rating this venue... I was between 4 or 5 stars. The ONLY reason being that they truly need to revise their "weather call" procedures. It was downpouring in the morning but by 2:00 was bright and sunny without a cloud in the sky. The issue is that they require you to make the call for the wedding to be inside or outside at 12:00 (it is in their contract). The ceremony did not start until 4:30, and I know it takes time to set up, but had we been able to make that call just 2 hours later, we would have made a different choice. It caused a bit of stress and frustration, and if they would just change that procedure I think it could have been avoided. Overall though I would highly recommend this venue and we plan to come back and stay on anniversaries as it is a beautiful place to stay.

When we attended the tasting, which was absolutely phenomenal, we became very well acquainted with the team and they allowed us to explore the hotel so we could get a sense of where all the events for our wedding would take place and helped us feel extremely at ease. Months before the wedding the team really excelled in communication nailing down every detail of the day. We didn’t think it could get any better until our actual wedding day came and The Reeds went above and beyond to not only ensure that that day ran smoothly but also made us feel like they were celebrating with us. We had almost every guest tell us the food was the best food that they had ever had at a wedding and that couldn’t have been more true. We’d especially like to thank Josephine and Paul who were instrumental in making our wedding perfect and we are so grateful. We can’t recommend The Reeds highly enough. It was truly a dream come true!

that come with planning a wedding. From the moment we checked in all of that anxiety faded away. The staff at The Reeds was so quick to accommodate any of our needs or questions that we would have. Our event coordinator Josephine was exceptional. She masterfully handled everything for us the entire weekend and helped us deal with any last-minute requests we had or changes we needed to make. My wife and I were truly able to enjoy our wedding and focus our attention on our guests and the celebration thanks to Josephine and Liz. A little more than a month after the wedding our guests are still talking about how great the wedding was and how spectacular the food and service were. I could spend hours detailing the compliments of the food and beverage and team deserve. The menu choices were all amazing and it was tough to pick between so many of the options. Staff was very accommodating for us; my wife is a vegetarian and they were willing to alter some options to be more vegetarian friendly, they even offered numerous suggestions and ideas for us. Looking back now it was one of the best weekends of our lives because of The Reeds' staff.We could not more highly this venue for anyone looking to book their event here.

from the beginning until the day of. I can’t wait to go back to see them! All of our guests raved about the food and how amazing the wedding was. We got married the day of hurricane Ian remnants in a flood so it was not exactly the beach wedding we had planned because everything was indoors but because it was at The Reeds it was fantastic. Thank Goodness for Sara making it so special for me! The wedding was an absolute blast. My room was beautiful I did not want to leave. I highly recommend The Reeds and can not wait to go back to this place that will always have a very special place in my heart ❤️

new the Reed's was an amazing hotel---but if you have the opportunity to have wedding here ---particularly a winter wedding in the offseason to avoid high prices for your guests to attend I would 10/10 recommend. The service from start to finish was impeccable---the venue and town were the perfect Christmas backdrop for what were hoping to achieve for our wedding. Guests raved about the food, service, and venue and I heard over and over that it was the best wedding guests have ever been to. The lobby even had a huge gingerbread house in the lobby and candles that made it smell like Christmas as soon as you entered the hotel. Shout out to the staff, like George the valet who immediately was personable and lovely. Liz Maestre, our day of coordinator, made the actual wedding day so much easier and completely put my stresses at ease as a bride. I am still in awe of how perfect everything turned out!

he whole experience a breeze. She was always quick to answer an email (I sent A LOT) and always replied that whatever request I had, she would find a way to make it work. We had some rain on the day of the wedding which had me extremely stressed. She talked me off the ledge numerous times and was able to give me my dream ceremony outside and provided all my guests umbrellas for the drizzle. Everyone had a blast and our parents were extremely happy with how everything turned out. They did not have to worry about anything day of. We had a band and with our guest amount (~125) the dance floor was perfectly sized and Sara kept the evening going by adding dance sets in while the staff cleaned and set each course. Our experience was phenomenal, including some of the preferred vendors that The Reeds recommended. If you are even hesitating having your day at The Reeds, have it on a Sunday and ensure Sara is your coordinator.

s were great. We had our rehearsal dinner the night before and a brunch the morning after on the rooftop deck. Both were awesome. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Now I will tell you why we give The Reeds 4 stars and not 5…. The hotel and front desk were not up to par. These details did not directly affect our wedding but it did cause some displeasure for our guests. My mother (mother of the groom) had 4 rooms in her name for the weekend. Two checking in Friday, one checking in Saturday and one checking in Sunday (day of wedding). She had several family members coming in from out of town on different days. The night we got there (Friday) both of the rooms my mother was given was double booked. The hotel staff handed her two keys and when they entered those two rooms there were people already in them. This caused my mom and her family member to have to check into a room Friday, then check into a different room Saturday and a different room Sunday. On Saturday when my mother was checking into her 3rd room (meant for my sister) it was also double booked! Resulting in my sister (sister of the groom and one of the bridesmaids) having to spend the night at a local motel. Additionally on Saturday another bridesmaid attempted to check-in and was using a Visa at the front desk. The room was paid for but they needed a card on file. Well apparently “they were having issues with Visa’s” and said they couldn’t run any of her cards because they were all Visa’s. This resulted in her driving home that night and returning in the morning. Last but not least, the beds are horrible. The rooms overall are very nice and clean but every single guest that stayed over complained of the mattresses. My wife and I also had a very difficult time sleeping on them. You could tell they were low quality and had been thoroughly used (lots of divets and curves).

ustice. I cannot count the number of guests who said that the Reeds was the best wedding venue (and vacation spot!) they have ever been to....and they are right! The food was phenomenal-- the raw bar stayed magically replenished with TOP TIER seafood (coming from someone that grew up in cape cod and knows their seafood), the appetizers are creative and delicious, and the main courses were excellent. I have not stopped hearing about the steak. The open air concept in the ballroom made for such a unique experience, and allowed my introverted guests to avoid the feeling of claustrophobia or overwhelm that can set in once the band starts playing and the people start dancing. I am not exaggerating whatsoever when I say that the Reeds staff did not ask us even 1 question on the day of the wedding. You will absolutely not find yourself stressing about the little details- they do that for you! I was sitting back in the Reeds Spa with my cocktails and my bridesmaids without a care in the world, and they did a better job picking out where my various decorations should be than I ever would. If you are as lucky as I was, you will have Elizabeth Mestre as the mastermind behind your big day. Liz somehow had every single detail on lock and knew where everyone was at any moment.... BUT you wouldn't know that because she will also be right there with you smiling as if she's known you forever, and making sure you have your drink of choice (or food) in your hand! Finally, their secret weapon: Carol from the Reeds Spa. I went to dinner with Carol literally a week ago, and my wedding was about 5 months ago. She is a master with hair, has amazing stories, and is just someone you want to be around. She listens to what you want, and understands that everyone is different. I am so grateful that I had Carol do my wedding hair, and that she advocated for me when I needed it. She is a good one. (also she does the best blonde highlights EVER)

anner for the Reeds, Emily, was nowhere to be found and very difficult to get in touch with. We had many ideas for the cocktail hour, such as preserving signature drinks, which were not followed through on. We requested 4 bartenders for a 205 person wedding and received only 2, leading to many long lines at the bar and overall displeasure with how it was handled. When setting up our ceremony on the beach, they set up the aisle with two trash cans right dead in the center. They were also 1 hour tardy to begin setting up which led to scrambling prior to the ceremony start and family members needing to help create the ceremony space. For the coordinated after-party, we only asked for 1 food item which was Bacon Egg, and Cheese sandwiches, they couldn't even get this right and served everyone sausage. They refused to reimburse us for this mistake as well. So many details of the day were not properly handled and left us very disappointed in the Reeds. The Reeds has a stunning location on the bay and has excellent hotel services and amenities. The Reeds restaurant is a lovely place for a meal and the food is generally very good. We are very affirmative that The Reeds wedding staff did not meet the standards we would expect for hosting such a large event during their busiest month.
