Adrienne and the Refinery team are AMAZING. We hired them to do our day of coordination for our October 14th wedding at Marianmade Farm in Wiscasset, ME. Adrienne made our planning from New Jersey an absolute breeze. Numerous phone calls and emails made the planning super easy, and by the time we got to Maine for the weekend of our wedding I had no doubt that she knew my vision for the day. Sarah and Shannon made our weekend go off without a hitch, and I can't thank them enough. Having them there alleviated any stress on the day of, and let me enjoy the weekend to the fullest. If anyone is looking for a planner you will not be disappointed with this team. They are all the sweetest people you will every meet, and are complete professionals at their job!

My husband and I hired The Refinery for day-of-coordination services for our wedding this past August in Maine, and we have nothing but great things to say about them! Adrienne, the owner, was our main point of contact leading up to our wedding. She was always available to answer last minute questions and provide guidance from the time we booked her until the day of the wedding. It was so helpful to have her as a resource throughout the planning process! Shannon was our actual coordinator for our rehearsal and wedding day, and she was phenomenal. She has an incredibly calm and sweet demeanor yet knew how to get everyone's attention to give direction. We got so many compliments from our friends and family about how wonderful she was over the course of the weekend. She absolutely went above and beyond! The day of our wedding, I was way more calm then I ever thought I would be. I can definitely credit the Refinery team for that because I completely trusted that they would make our vision for the day become a reality. I was particularly blown away when at the end of the night, the band ended, and the late night crew moved into a smaller barn to contain noise but continue having fun. I had briefly mentioned to Shannon that was the plan, but when we got to the barn - flowers, tables, dessert and drinks had all been moved and set up without me even asking! I certainly did not expect that - it was a great way to end the night with our friends and family. I would definitely recommend investing in a coordinator or planner and hiring The Refinery! They will make your wedding day vision become more than you could ever imagine while at the same time keeping everyone organized, on schedule and calm. We couldn't be happier with our decision to hire them!

From making sure Caitlyn had a great flow of the day to making sure my daughter got food and in the middle of all of that you heard me say I lost my sunglasses and instantly you had two for me! Adrienne was absolutely amazing. She was so easy to talk to and honestly made our wedding day go so perfectly. She handled any problems that came up the day of and I didn't even know about them until a few days after the wedding. :) Everything I could of asked for and more!

Adrienne and Shannon were the day of coordinators for our daughter's wedding and we could not have been happier! When my husband and I first met them, we knew we were in good hands. Not only are they true professionals, but they are also lovely people and extremely easy to work with. Their warmth, positive, supportive way helped give us the confidence we needed during the planning process. Adrienne's advice and follow through with all the vendors ensured that everyone was on the same page. All the details were covered! Shannon was there during the wedding weekend, and played a key role in the success of it all. We couldn't have done it without her calm, reassuring presence, and incredible attention to detail. It felt as though we had a close friend watching over us the whole time so we could enjoy ourselves, and we did!! Adrienne and Shannon are an amazing team!! Adrienne was fabulous!! She is very knowledgable of the venue we used (Marianmade) and just all things wedding in general so I was able to ask her lots of questions and got great advice. She is also so nice so it made it easy to work with her! I gave her a combo of images and notes of how I wanted things set up and she set it up perfectly without me having to change a thing. I was able to trust her to run everything the day of, which was so important in limiting the stress! She also was great with managing all the vendors. I don’t know how she did it all!!!

Adrienne and the Refinery Team were hired as our "Day Of Coordinators" for our wedding day. However, I think it is important to mention that their work went well beyond just our wedding day. Adrienne and Shannon were organized, timely and incredibly informative throughout several months of the planning process. Thanks to them, our big day went off without a hitch and was truly a dream. Shannon's calm, excited and loving demeanor was so perfect for that day. I will never forget seeing her walk into my parents' house with our bouquets in hand, and breathing a sigh of relief while thinking, "Ok. She's got this." She truly took care of everything, which allowed my husband and I to take in the entire day. I cannot thank Shannon and the entire Refinery team enough! They truly listened closely to our hopes and dreams for all that the day could be. With their help, it truly exceeded our expectations! Thank you for helping make our fairy tale wedding come true!

Adrienne and Shannon provided amazing service for my wife and me leading up to and during our wedding at Marianmade Farm a few weeks ago! Before the wedding, Adrienne helped us make sure we had covered all the things we "didn't know we didn't know", helped us think through details we hadn't figured out, and provided advice from her own experience at our venue. During the wedding and rehearsal, both Adrienne and Shannon took on the legwork of setting up the venue, coordinating with the venue manager and other vendors, and also took the extra step to make sure my wife and I always had food and drinks so we could just enjoy the day. Huge thank you to both of them for all their help and hard work, they took care of all the hard work and let us just sit back and take it all in without thinking about logistics. The Refinery should definitely be the top option for anyone getting married in Maine!

I contacted Adrienne after I saw her beautiful website and realized that I had a friend in common who had used her services. My friend had nothing but the best things to say about Adrienne and I 100% agree. I do not think that I would have remained sane at my wedding without her. She has a fantastic attention to every detail and is very knowledgeable about everything that one could need leading up to a wedding. She made sure that every little detail was covered. Our wedding was beautiful - and so many people commented on how perfect all the details were - and I have to say that was all due to Adrienne. If I were to do any sort of event again, I would only do it with Adrienne's help. So pleasant and easy - the best money we spent on our wedding, hands down!

Adrienne from the Refinery is fantastic to work with! Adrienne was my day-of coordinator, which technically meant that she got involved a month before our wedding date. I was so happy when she reached out to me months in advance so she could check in and start working on our timeline. From that point on, she was always responsive to my e-mails and available to offer her wedding planning expertise when I had questions. Adrienne took over seamlessly in the weeks leading up to our wedding. On the day of the wedding, she and her assistant were flawless. She stuck to the timeline, improvised when she needed to, and quickly resolved any issues that came up. The best part about working with Adrienne is her warm, calming presence. We had The Refinery / Adrienne as our day of coordinator and Adrienne was nothing short of a life saver! She was so organized, responsive, and detail-oriented throughout the whole process leading up to the wedding. Adrienne also went way above and beyond what we expected of her as the day of coordinator. On the wedding day, I was finally able to let go and trust that she had everything under control. She made sure that every last detail of our vision went off without a hitch. Everything was truly perfect because of all the work Adrienne did. We hired Adrienne to be our "day of" coordinator for our wedding at Camp Mataponi. Adrienne was great throughout the whole wedding process, and was always willing to answer questions and recommend vendors, even though we had only hired her to be our "day of" coordinator. A few months before the wedding, Adrienne worked with us to figure out timelines and a floor plan. She did a great job of combining my vision with her expertise to make sure that both were flawless. We did the majority of our communication by phone and email because I live in Boston, and she helped planning a wedding from afar really easy. But where Adrienne and her team really shined was the wedding weekend itself. We had to bring everything to the venue ourselves, and I didn't want our family and friends to have to worry about anything the weekend of the wedding. And honestly, we didn't lift a finger or have to worry about a single thing. Adrienne had it all under control and everything looked even more beautiful and perfect than I ever could have imagined. She didn't ask me a single question or have me worry about anything on the wedding day, so I was truly able to enjoy getting ready with my family and friends. Our wedding day was absolutely flawless and executed perfectly, and Adrienne is a major reason why. She is professional, creative, and just amazing! I highly recommend working with her to help make your wedding day stress-free and perfect!

My husband and I could not have been more relaxed, or had more fun, on our wedding day and the credit goes to Adrienne! Leading up to the wedding she was organized, incredibly responsive, and detailed and we felt 100% comfortable and confident going into the day. Every time we checked in with a vendor prior to the wedding with a question Adrienne had already taken care of it. You know how everyone says something will go wrong on your wedding day? Well Adrienne proved that adage false as the day was PERFECTION and all our plans came together for the most wonderful celebration. Not only did Adrienne and her assistant do a gorgeous job setting up for the wedding but they seemed to appear out of thin air when I needed a bandaid, when my husband forgot his wallet in the bridal cottage, and when it was time for us to move from one part of the evening to the other. We couldn't have done it without her and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a day-of coordinator.

Adrienne and her assistant were day of (really weekend of) coordinators for our wedding. They came on Friday afternoon to begin helping with setup, ran our rehearsal, and basically put our whole wedding together on Saturday! My husband and I and our families had put a LOT of work into our wedding (a camp wedding), but on Saturday I did not think about one single thing except for drinking mimosas, getting pretty and putting on my dress! I knew Adrienne was taking care of everything else. She set the entire hall up (it looked stunning), told all vendors where to go and what to do, set up our ceremony site.... we only have wonderful things to say! Thank you Adrienne and The Refinery :-)

Adrienne was our "weekend of" wedding planner. From the very beginning Adrienne was incredibly helpful, with many useful suggestions and perspectives. Our wedding itself would have been a disaster without her there to make sure everything went smoothly while we were in the middle of it all. I can't say enough good things about Adrienne. I only wish we had hired her for her full wedding planning services! She is worth every penny and more.

Short answer: Adrienne is fantastic -- just make sure she is your actual day of coordinator. I LOVED working with Adrienne and she was really on top of things and reassuring - but she was unavailable for my wedding date and had one of her staff take her place. She was super nice and well intentioned, but we felt a lot got lost in the transfer and we really didn't feel things were as organized & coordinated as we had set them up to be. No major problems, but disappointing to spend that much and not feel like it worked out well. That said, I would still certainly recommend Adrienne's services as she is great!

I highly recommend The Refinery for anyone seeking a very kind, knowledgeable, and professional planner to work with for day-of coordination or more long-term planning. I called Adrienne about a year before my wedding (which I recommend, because she will book up!) looking for a day-of coordinator who could help me pull together final details during the month prior to our wedding and take the edge off of the day itself. Adrienne and her team ended up being the perfect match; Adrienne knows the landscape of other local vendors, is easy to reach and always responsive, and to top it off, I found her rates to be more reasonable than other coordinators I considered in the Portland area. Also in my case, Adrienne was kind enough to look at a couple venues with me last year because she hadn't seen them in person before, and her vision and smart questions made decisions go much more smoothly than they would have otherwise. She stayed in touch over the following months, always happy to answer my questions about rentals, catering, seating arrangements, and whatever else. A few weeks before the wedding, I felt completely comfortable handing the baton over to her so that I didn't have to answer the deluge of vendor emails and calls. On the day before and day of, Adrienne and Sara were just lovely to have around. I felt completely at ease with the idea that if some sort of glitch came up-- which, believe me, they always do--, it was covered!! Such a fun day, thanks to them. If you are someone who likes to plan events, plan ahead, and communicate your wishes in detail, but you ultimately want to enjoy a relaxed day with family and friends, The Refinery will make your day 150% more enjoyable if you make the smart choice of asking them to be your day-of coordinators! My husband and I had already done quite a bit of the planning and leg-work of the wedding ourselves, but realized six weeks out that we were not going to be able to handle the stress of set-up and coordination ourselves closer to and on the day of the event. We could have asked friends to help, but didn't want to burden them, so we began investigating other options. My caterer recommended Adrienne at The Refinery on their "short list" as someone they had worked with and liked, so I took a chance and gave her a call, knowing that six weeks out, she was probably unavailable. As it turns out, she had that weekend free and was able to help us. She was a pleasure to work with - extremely calm and accommodating, and had good insight into things we hadn't thought about - and even let us borrow some shepherd's hooks for hanging lanterns. She came the day before for several hours to set up all of the chairs for the ceremony (our wedding was outside), and the tables under the tent and on the patio. She gave us advice during our rehearsal, and on our big day she set up tablecloths, centerpieces and flatware, and was prepared with various crafty materials to liven up our gift & guest book table (which we didn't ask her to do). She took me with a grain of salt (I'm sort of an anxious/high-strung person), and worked with us to make everything the way we wanted, within reason. She communicated with our other vendors with respect, and toward the end of the night, she let us know when the shuttles had arrived to take guests home. Adrienne definitely saved us from ourselves and her easy-going nature helped balance out some of the stress we were naturally experiencing. My only critique was that she didn't try to talk us into hiring them for the clean up and break down the next morning. It was something we knew would need to happen, but we didn't fully realize how time-consuming and tiring it would be. We ended up cleaning up everything ourselves, which definitely put a damper on our newly wedded bliss, but we survived to tell the tale :) Thanks to Adrienne and The Refinery for saving us from ourselves and helping make our day relaxing and memorable!

I had no idea how lucky I was to have Adrienne by my side from start to finish, any hours of the day, any day of the week through the whole wedding process! I entered into a contest that one of my friends recommended to win a wedding planner.. At that point in time I had no idea just how much I needed the help that Adrienne gave me through the whole wedding process. I was planning my wedding from 500 miles away..and I was way in over my head. When I first met Adrienne at a coffee shop I was just blown away with how much her personality and calm demeanor immediately made me feel so relaxed and confident that she was the one that would help me with all the details and little things that I had no idea went into planning a wedding. Adrienne was so organized down to every single detail.. It was like she knew what I was thinking even before I said it. She came up with such fantastic and creative ideas that incorporated my personality and my likes into the theme of our wedding. Sometimes I felt like I was way in over my head and I would get so overwhelmed with all of the things I needed to accomplish and with just one phone call Adrienne could take away all my stress and anxieties about all the stuff I needed to get done. She simplified things and just took charge with getting things done that needed to get done. As time got closer to the wedding Adrienne checked in more frequently with me to keep me organized and keep everything on track. She communicated with my vendors and gave everyone the agenda for the day so that everyone would be on the same page so things would run completely smoothly without any flaws. The day of our wedding couldn't have gone more smoothly or perfectly. I got compliments from all my friends and family members saying that Adrienne was very good with communicating answering questions if anyone needed to ask anything. One moment I remember in particular is the moment right after we got married.. we went over to the photographer to get some pictures taken. Adrienne checked in with Tom and I and she could just see on her face that we both needed a drink or something to eat.. She could see in our faces that we were both thinking "wow the hard part is finally over now it's time to unwind".. She brought us food and snacks just what we needed to keep going. As the night of our wedding went on she was always there checking in with us to tell us what to expect next and what we should be doing. In all honesty, I don't think I could ever thank Adrienne enough for everything that she did to help us through the entire wedding process. She is a true angel... I feel so blessed to have met her. To any bride that is reading this.. My wedding day would have been the most stressful day of my life if I hadn't had Adrienne there. She is the whole package she is everything that a bride would ever need. I feel like I could trust her with the most important day of my life and that I did. We were referred to Adrienne by another wedding planner that was unable to accommodate our wedding date thought that Adrienne would be a perfect match for us. I would have to agree! Adrienne was professional, supportive and accommodating throughout the wedding process. We had rented out a camp for the weekend, a chilly one at that, but she was amazing throughout thinking through all the details that we disregarded or overlooked and working tirelessly to make sure there were no hitches. Arriving Friday and helping set up and rehearse to being there for all of the day’s events. I felt so relaxed the day of and didn’t feel the need to worry about anything (which is rare for me). Adrienne’s presence was so calm, prepared and courteous; it made it so easy to just sit back and enjoy the day. She was able to work and communicate with various difficult vendors as well, which eased the stress. She even helped us find bartenders for our wedding- which they were outstanding, organized and quick- evening remembering multiple peoples drink orders. The day of and evening ran so smoothly, and it certainly wouldn’t have without her and Sarah! I would highly recommend Adrienne and her company as it was a complete pleasure working with her!

I cannot even begin to say how happy I am to have worked with Adrienne and her team. I initially came across her company on The Knot as well, so I definitely want to help other brides looking. For me, I initially wasn't sure I wanted a coordinator because I like the planning components and being hands on. That being said, I am SO happy to have made this decision. I felt instantly comfortable with Adrienne due to her kind personality and "we can make that happen" attitude. But more than that, from a professional standpoint I was extremely impressed with her responsiveness. I never had to worry about waiting to hear back on an email or phone call - I often was surprised to hear so quickly! Even though she was a "day-of" coordinator, she was happy to communicate throughout the months leading up, offer advice, make contact with all our vendors to relieve that pressure, and attend our wedding rehearsal. On the big day, she executed everything perfectly. It was such an amazing balance where I knew she was right there if I needed anything, but there was never any stress associated with the little reminders or questions that came up. My husband and I feel extremely lucky. As the title suggests, this was the best day of our lives. There's no doubt in my mind that Adrienne played a big part in this. Even for those brides who think they can do it all, I will say it is completely worth it. On your big day, you want to sit back, really look around, and just enjoy it. And if you can also do this with your bridesmaids - the people you chose as the most important - that's even more amazing. It's the best feeling to not be running around last minute with everyone. I will never regret that. As previous reviews mention, Adrienne gave me the opportunity to be calm and savor every moment! Everyone commented on how I did not seem stressed at all. There's a reason for that :) I would recommend Adrienne/Refinery Events to anyone!

We met Adrienne last year when she wasthe day of event coordinator for a wedding that took place on our farm. She was so organized and easy to work with,that we hired her to coordinate our sons wedding this summer. This was quite a feat given the bride and groom live on the other side of the country. We could not have been happier at her attention to detail. She made our day stress free and we were able to enjoy the festivities with out any worries. I would highly recommend Refinery Events to anyone planning a wedding.

Adrienne was absolutely phenomenal she made my wedding day pure perfection. I was astonished at how she solved every issue with out blinking an eye. All my girls kept saying how I was the most relaxed bride they ever saw. I was just like well Adrienne is perfect. I can't get over what an incredible job she did setting up everything exactly how I wanted it to a T and then some. My wedding was more beautiful then I could have ever imagined. She took my dreams and added glitter. I hear a lot of brides saying "oh my wedding day was stressful and it went by so fast, I couldn't relax" Not me I was so relaxed I got to enjoy every second and had such an amazing time. I finally got some videos yesterday and every body had an amazing time. All my guests said it was the best wedding they ever went to, which was my goal, and I could not have done it with out her.

Her kind and calm demeanor kept my mind at ease as our wedding day approached. She really thought of everything, which was especially important given our nontraditional venue. We had to bring everything in ourselves and build the event from the ground up. From lighting for the portapotties to ice for the cocktails, she didn't miss a step. Even though we hired her as a day-of coordinator, I know she spent countless hours in the weeks before our event putting together the timeline, coordinating with other vendors, and ironing out all the details. She always responded right away to my emails and calls, and she made me feel like a priority, never a burden. I didn't worry about a thing on our wedding day thanks to Adrienne! Everything went off without a hitch, and Adrienne was all smiles despite the brutal heat and humidity. I feel so lucky we had her there orchestrating our special day. She really listened and made sure it was even better than I could have imagined!
