The Revel Center was the first and only venue we looked at. As soon as we saw the space, we loved it! We loved that our guests didn’t have to travel between locations. Both the ceremony/reception space and the cocktail lounge are beautiful! The guests had an amazing time in the arcade and the photo booth was a great add on! Matt and Gabrielle were great communicating back and forth through email for any questions we had, especially as we got closer to the date. The bar staff were great as well!
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I felt like the point person of the venue could have been a little more present the morning of. I completely understand how much work they put into setting everything up and did not expect them to just be in the room with me all day until I needed them. I just wish they would’ve checked in a bit more throughout the day-it became a little difficult to track the venue manager down at some points when we had questions throughout the morning.
Overall, it was a beautiful day and we had so many compliments on the space! We are happy we were able to choose such a beautiful venue!

I booked an event at the Revel Center that wound up becoming my engagement, much to my surprise! The event staff was kind, courteous, and helpful the entire night. All of our photos turned out perfectly and we love the way the lights look in the background. We would absolutely book another event with the Revel Center!

The venue and cocktail lounge stood out the most to us and we were so happy we used this venue!

Firm believer that your impression of a business is from start to finish. My wedding was beautiful and I saw the creation I made come to life and as we finished our beautiful day and packing our belongings at the end of the night at the venue my husband informed me the venue staff threw away his rental suit packaging/bags and there were missing cuff links. I went to investigate and told our wedding planner immediately to hopefully get it handled so we could depart. Gabrielle Howard (venue and bar manager) came into the groomsman’s suite digging through a trash in the suite saying she assumed everything was trash because it was on the floor and came back at us and blamed us. She began to dig out all the bags from the trash all over the floor once again. Her tone set me over the edge on how you never speak to someone let alone a bride that just got married. Note: I as the bride was informed to my face that the venue staff would be in the suites during the wedding to clean and to have valuables to the car and stuff left moved to one side of the room. My husband said he was never told that information by venue staff, our wedding planner or any groomsman. I’m glad I wouldn’t let a sour person ruin my wedding but as soon as I was talked to by an individual we paid I was out of there and I caution future brides.
I would love love love to give The Revel Center a 5 star review but I just can’t. I’ll break it down.
1. The venue was absolutely stunning! I loved everything about it, from the moment I walked downstairs and saw the lighting, I knew I wasn’t even going to look at another venue (this was our first stop).
2. Having everything be in one place was exactly what I wanted with having family from out of town. We entered the building at 9 am and didn’t leave until almost midnight. The cocktail hour seemed to really be a hit and there were so many great places for our guest to take pictures, sit and chat, or play in the arcade!
3. The arcade and Photo Booth are still being talked about 26 days later! What a neat touch and the fact that they sent me all the photos was definitely a huge bonus since I never purchased a guest book, oops!
4. BUT…. I always felt like I was an inconvenience when I’d ask a question, whether it be to schedule a time to come in to get an idea of what we needed to do for decorations, ask questions about the vendors, ask questions FOR the vendors, or needed help on the day of the wedding. Our DJ even had to reach out to them to get the ins and outs to make sure he was bringing the right gear and lightings and he said he felt the same way, like he was just an inconvenience to them and they had no idea what they were talking about. They also don’t allow drinking on the dance floor, so just a heads up there! We had a medical emergency at our wedding and the staff couldn’t be bothered, they were there to be babysitters not helpers by any means. So just make sure you have a couple of sober people designated to help with anything if needed!
Overall, I’d book my wedding there again, I’d just have less expectations of communication and help with anything wedding related with the venue. They talk about how a couple weeks before the wedding a planner will reach out to you and help you through minor details and that also never happened!
Our wedding was a dream! The venue was beyond beautiful and had so many details making our decor so much easier to plan around! Our guest had so much fun with the arcade and photo booth!! The bridal and groom suites made it so easy to get ready and were perfect for morning of! Matt was always quick to respond with any questions and the staff on site day of was very helpful. We couldn’t be any happier with our decision to host our wedding at the revel center!
I would highly recommend the Revel Center! 9.9/10! Communication during planning was prompt and professional. Everything went very smoothly, it was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and overall held up our expectations. It’s a beautiful and classy indoor venue with lots of fun perks like the groom’s suite and arcade area! It was great having access to the venue all day and they were flexible with overnight parking as well.
Only complaints are very minor- it was quite warm inside (a few guests complained) and we had to ask twice to get the lights dimmed, and we still would’ve liked them even dimmer. It would’ve been nice to check in with us if we were satisfied with the lighting.
But, overall- we were very happy! It’s definitely worth checking out!
Okay just had our wedding an honestly everything was amazing!!! One they are just gorgeous and have the coolest little details! An arcade in the cocktail hour space! Awesome photo booth! Beautiful lights. Adorable outdoor space. Honestly everything was great and I’m so happy we picked it!
We first fell in love with The Revel Center after touring in September 2019. We knew we had to book the space for our wedding. The service given by Matt and the rest of the team was OUTSTANDING! Planning a wedding during COVID was difficult but they communicated every single time something changed and answered every question we had as quickly as they could. They went above and beyond to make our day perfect! The recent renovations to the venue were a wonderful surprise! Our guests raved about how beautiful the space was and the great extras like the photo booth and the game room. If we ever have to have an event again, we will definitely look at book The Revel Center! Brides, Grooms, Families....you are in good hands with this venue.
We wanted an affordable venue that was in the city, had easy free parking (very important to our family members who are afraid of downtown parking), and looked modern. The Revel Center met all those needs for us. We were delighted to discover over time that they upgraded their old ugly chairs to nice black chiavari chairs, and added arcade machines, which our guests LOVED. They also loved the included photobooth! Our wedding was a blast and we definitely don’t have any regrets choosing this venue.
Communication with Matt was fast and helpful, and he seemed patient with our many questions, which we appreciated during the planning process. The only negative thing I had to dock a star for is on the day-of, the woman they had working our event wasn’t so helpful. When we arrived to the reception after our photos for dinner, we saw that all the arcade machines were off. When my husband went up to the woman in charge to ask why the arcade wasn’t on, she just shrugged and said “I don’t know, they were off when I got here.” Ok, so why didn’t she turn them on? When we emailed Matt earlier we expressed our excitement for the arcade machines, as we and most of our guests were nerds. The cocktail hour would have been the best time our guests could play! They enjoyed them the rest of the night, but that just seemed very unprofessional. Other than that, it would’ve been perfect!
My fiance and I absolutely loved everything about the Revel Center! They were so flexible and answered all of our questions. Matt was phenomenal and responded quickly to any questions via email or phone.
The venue itself is gorgeous and includes a photo booth (which we were considering renting anyway) and an arcade space (my fiance fell in love with it). They also have an outdoor patio space which had a really cool bonfire for later in the night.
Overall we are so glad that we chose the Revel Center for our venue! You won't be disappointed!
It's a beautiful venue where I didn't have to do any decorating except for the tables. They have pretty bulb lights and color changing lights as well as a photo booth included. The floors are all wooden which I liked so you could make the dance floor as big as you want. My complaint with them is that the owner, Matt, while nice, wasn't overly helpful with any planning or details, he tried to upsell nicer chairs to us for a charge which we declined and then threw them in for free 5 minutes later. He wasn't there for our wedding and gave us an intern, Rose, to coordinate things and she was awful. We brought in our own speakers to play our playlist instead of hiring a DJ, tested everything out the morning of, no issues. When we first got to the reception for our introductions Rose was nowhere to be found. During our first dance she kept messing with the volume on the song and turned it way down so no one could hear it and we literally stopped dancing. Once the party got going and people were dancing the music stopped multiple times (huge buzzkill) and she just kept blaming the wifi being overloaded (no one had the wifi password except her and my husband, nothing was going through the wifi except our playlist, that wouldn't overload the wifi) so that was very frustrating and her attitude wasn't remotely apologetic and sympathetic so that made it even worse. Matt never gave us hours for the photo booth, so when it was locked after an hour we asked Rose about it and she said she wouldn't open it until 7. uh no, it's part of our venue rental, Matt never gave specific hours on the photo booth so we had her open it right away. Matt never checked in after the wedding to see if things went well, he was paid so I guess that was the end of it. I would rate it lower than a 3 but the venue itself is very nice and has a cute outdoor patio with barrels for tables and string lights. Oh you also have to pay a $300 fee to use a caterer not on their list and you can only pick one of 3 bar services to use. You don't have a lot of freedom to try to save money going with this venue

t down, we clearly did not meet your expectations and for that we are so very sorry.
Perhaps I can shed some light on some of the issues you experienced. With regard to the Chiavari chairs, we have had requests from our brides to have more than one option for chairs, a standard chair and an upgraded chair for an additional cost. When we had heard you were not interested in the upgraded chair, we wanted to surprise you on your big day with the upgraded chairs at no additional cost. We had hoped this would make your day even more special, but clearly you thought that this was a sales tactic, which we assure you it was not. We know how much you wanted those chairs and sought out to make it happen, regardless of our costs. Apologies if you took it any other way.
Second, when we initially met during your planning stages, we thought we had communicated clearly that not hiring a DJ or sound technician of any kind could negatively affect your evening. We were not given any notice that any of our staff would be running your songs, let alone that our Sonos system was going to be utilized for the entirety of the night. Our sound system is simply not designed for continuous playback and as you experienced, is not a reliable system. Our wifi system is simply not equipped to handle 4 Sonos devices and the 2 additional devices that you had us sync up to our system on the day. It simply wasn't a good solution and unfortunately your event suffered because of it. Our staff member for the evening, Rose, really shouldn't have been asked to DJ the night, given that she has other responsibilities to ensure your evening goes smoothly. Even given the circumstances, she stepped up to help make your evening the best that it could be.
As far as Matt following up, we always give our brides 2 weeks before we reach back out due to honeymoons and post wedding plans. As your event was on June 8th, Matt had planned to follow up yesterday but you had already put your review out on The Knot. We never want our clients to feel that once we have been paid, that's the end of it. We strive to ensure that your experience with us is 5 Stars because we truly do care. Regardless of the outcome, we want to make things right. I cannot even begin to say how happy my husband and I were having our reception at the Revel Center. Matt was absolutely incredible to work with and would get back to me quickly with any questions I had. We were amazed with how beautiful the space looked for our special day. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone - you will not be disappointed!
I cannot say enough about how much my husband and I loved the Revel Center! Matt was so easy going and made the process stress free. It was everything we could have hoped for and more as far as the venue went, and it was nice not to have to stress about such a large detail. Great price, perfect atmosphere, I recommend to any and everyone!! You will not regret it!
Matt was amazing throughout the whole process. Him and his team made it a seamless day, worked with us to manage through all aspects, and we could not have asked for a more perfect venue to work with! The space is gorgeous--so many compliments!
Can I give it 10 stars!!!! The Revel Center is awesome! From day one when we set up a time to look at it in December to the wedding reception we had on September 1st they were awesome. Their communication is outstanding - they are SO quick to respond!!!! The venue itself is beautiful and just what we were looking for. They added an outside deck to hang out outside which is beautiful. There was plenty of parking. My daughter used the upstairs area to get ready with her bridesmaids and that was a GREAT decision. It is perfect for hanging out, plenty of room for hairdressers and makeup and a wonderful area for getting ready photos!!! I would recommend this venue over and over and over again. Don't let the outside of the building fool you - the inside is beautiful and everything went perfectly. Matt was great to work with on the day of and available for questions whenever needed.
This place was amazing! We knew we wanted to have our wedding reception here the second we saw it! It had that old time feeling we were looking for, with modern touches. Matt was great to work with and answered all my crazy e-mails leading up to the event. Everything was setup just as requested, and he was onsite the whole day to make the process run smoother. He also referred us to a lot of great vendors that made the process easy! Highly recommend!!!
Used them for my reception this past weekend and everything was amazing. Great communication, no stress, awesome place! If I had to do it all again, I would def still have my reception here!
