Best venue ever! I recommend working with Maria & Chalon for the best experience!
I would to thank Allison Ortega and her team for helping during our COVID rescheduling wedding block. You guys stepped in to save the day with arranging all of the hotel transfer reservations.
We had a wedding block at a nearby Marriott hotel that was booked two years ago. After two wedding date postponements the hotel temporarily closed. Allison and her team handled all the transfers and all of my concerns.
I truly appreciate your help during such a trying time for us all, including the hotel industry.
I highly recommend this hotel and staff to help with your stay or celebrations. The professionalism is so evident in every facet of this hotel.
Blessings to you all,
Amy Lewis

My daughter was married this past weekend and we held the wedding reception at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans. Our family lives in the New Orleans area, where many locals don't seem to think of the Ritz when it comes to wedding receptions but I bet that will begin to change, because IT WAS FABULOUS!
The event planner, Colleen Page, was wonderful to work with , and the both she and the Ritz staff went out of there way to address our every concern and need during the entire planning process. Colleen made sure that our florist, wedding planners, photographers, band, and all the other outside vendors were able to work seamlessly with the Ritz staff to ensure we had the wedding reception we envisioned. The food was delicious, the ballroom was beautiful, and there was never a line at the bar the entire evening. We hosted a sit down dinner reception for 325 people and the ballroom was the perfect size to accommodate all of our guests, the band stage, and an over-sized dance floor.
I would highly recommend the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans to anyone that is looking to have the wedding reception of their dreams!
To say that The Ritz Carlton New Orleans "knocked it out of the park" for my daughter's wedding this past weekend would be the understatement of the year. Colleen Page and Chalon Dominick worked tirelessly with me and my daughter to ensure that we had an enjoyable and stress free weekend. No request was too insignificant or unattainable....they wanted to see our vision for the event come to fruition. Mission accomplished! From the moment we checked into the hotel, we encountered unparalleled service and hospitality from each and every Ritz employee. The 50+ guest rooms that we reserved for the weekend were lovely, comfortable and impeccably clean. Gifts and notes of appreciation were left for us in guest rooms and meeting spaces....all special touches which made our family and friends feel appreciated and welcomed. A lovely, spacious room was provided for the bridesmaids on the day of the wedding with every necessity we could have thought of! And the wedding reception, itself? The Grand Ballroom was exquisite and our seated dinner for 325 guests was delicious and beautifully presented. Kudos are in order, as well, for the attentive and unobtrusive staff who provided the service during the reception. We will forever be grateful that we chose The Ritz Carlton New Orleans as the venue for my daughter's wedding reception. Thank you for living up to your reputation of gold standard service and hospitality. Y'all were THE BEST!
We highly recommend the New Orleans Ritz Carlton for a stay and/or an event. It’s beautiful in a unique New Orleans way. The staff are helpful and polite. We had a great experience.
The Ritz Carlton in New Orleans and their staff helped to make my wifes dream wedding come true! I definitely enjoyed it as well! However, having the wedding at the Ritz was something she dreamed about and Emily Jensen and Chalon and their team helped to make our wedding amazing! Kelly Hilliard also helped us greatly with our room reservations for family! Emily and her team were great at communication the whole way! Very attentive, very friendly, very helpful! They made our wedding amazing, our extended stay at the hotel amazing, our families stay at the hotel during the wedding amazing! Fortunately my wife is a great planner and prepper, so we didn't use a traditional wedding planner or day of coodinator, but between my wifes planning and Emily and her team at the Ritz, we were in constant communication up until the Big Day! Our Wedding Day was great despite rain, we were to be married on the Rooftop Terrace, it got easily moved by the Ritz staff to an adjacent room. Our reception was in French Quarter Bar. We began planning with the Ritz about a year out, they were flexible and accommodating every step of the way! The planning up to the wedding was great! The Wedding and Reception were great! The care and follow up after were great too! What started off a year prior as just a weekend stay turned into the best wedding ever a year later. Thank you to everyone at the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans from the moment we valeted, to checking in, to our stay in the Club level, to our Wedding, to the moment we drove away after checkout, EVERYONE at the Ritz Carlton who we interacted with were so great! We definitely recommend the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans for a wedding! The team they have in place for Weddings is amazing!
We just had our wedding at The Ritz-Carlton and it was a wonderful experience from the very start. (We had our ceremony in the courtyard and reception in the French Quarter Bar.) Our coordinator Marguerite was a joy to work with and handled all of our requests in the months leading up to it with ease. So many of our guests told us that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to, and this venue had a lot to do with that. We have zero regrets about choosing this beautiful hotel for our special day.
"My pleasure"...These two words are consistently conveyed by every member of the Ritz team and I have to say from event contracting through block reservations (Kelly H. was awesome!!) to post-wedding checkout, we were made to feel that it was EACH team member's desire and responsibility to deliver on every request and exceed our expectations!! We were treated like royalty and truly felt valued as customers and guests from start to finish. Emily Jensen and the Food & Beverage team were exceptional...unparalleled customer service, event design/planning, exquisite dining and implementation that was everything we could ask for and more!! To say Emily went "above and beyond" is an understatement. We, along with our guests, immensely enjoyed (yes...stress-free for Bride and MOB) every aspect of the wedding weekend and will forever be grateful to Emily and the team for helping our family host one of the most memorable events ever!! Awesome wedding memories...priceless!! Peace, blessings & many thanks to the Ritz team for making our daughter and son-in-law's wedding dreams a reality!!
The Ritz New Orleans is amaze-balls!!!! Sanja, the hotel events coordinator, is nothing short of dynamic! She thinks of everything so you don't have to pay as close attention to the details. I booked the Mercier Terrace for my wedding. Sanja and team blew my mind. We came down for a tasting and were treated like royalty. The chef, the pastry chef and Sanja did everything they could possibly think of to make our entire experience top notch. Sanja gave us her cell number and answered every call or text , day or night. The hotel is amazing, but Sanja and her team takes your event you will never forget!
I booked the Davenport Lounge at the Ritz Carlton in February 2017 to host a wedding welcome cocktail party for all of our guests on May 20, 2017. I wanted an elegant and lively jazz lounge where all of our guests could meet and mingle before the wedding. I spoke at length with Mr. Ian Powers, the manager of the lounge, about the details of the wedding event, how it was to be open bar for our guests and in a private cordoned-off area of the lounge. All of this was in a contract and confirmed.
On May 13, Mr. Powers emailed me to say that he had failed to enter our wedding party into the reservations system, and as a result, a different wedding party had booked the private area of the lounge. I was extremely upset, because now at this point I had no other choice given that the event was a week away. He promised me that we would be put in the adjoining restaurant, MBistro, in a private cordoned-off area with a direct view of the stage, and that we wouldn't know the difference.
When we landed in New Orleans later that week, we went directly to the Ritz Carlton and met with Mr. Powers. He promised us, repeatedly, that it would be a great event. He physically showed us where the private area would be created in the restaurant, and sure enough, it was directly in front of the stage with only a small room divider. He assured us that although he would not be there that evening, he had spoken at length with his co-worker and everyone knew about our wedding party and would make it wonderful.
We left cautiously optimistic that it might be ok. When we arrived on May 20, we found:
1. There was no cordoned-off area for our cocktail party anywhere- not in the restaurant, and not in the lounge. There was no area without dining tables, nothing about hosting our wedding, no open bar for our friends and family.
2. There was no one hosting our party from the Ritz Carlton. Our friends and family were milling around the main bar at a loss as no staff member knew anything about our event.
3. When we inquired with the manager on call that evening, he pointed to some random tables scattered throughout the back of the restaurant, and said that our party was "free to sit there."
4. There was apparently, a few tables reserved spread out across the restaurant under our name where our friends could sit and order drinks. Further, they were being asked to pay for their own drinks. None of the tables were together. None of the tables were near the stage, or anywhere near the front of the restaurant where we had been promised repeatedly that we would be sat.
When my now-husband became upset, and demanded that they create a space for our party, given that we had 50 guests now standing around looking confused, they shrugged their shoulders and said no, we can't, too bad. I spent the evening before my wedding crying, and my husband spent it arguing with the Ritz Carlton staff. None of our guests enjoyed themselves, and no one stayed long once they realized that had happened.
We were humiliated, and heartbroken. Our big cocktail event which was meant to welcome all of our friends and family to New Orleans and start our wedding off right, was a disaster.
We were treated with such disrespect that it made the entire situation even more shocking and upsetting. Eventually, after much arguing, the staff offered my husband and I some champagne and desserts... This was obviously very insufficient. I would avoid this hotel entirely for wedding events, given what's at stake.
The ritz is amazing!! We had our rehearsal dinner there and it was magical! They go over and above what I could have ever asked for! The food was fabulous and the service spectacular! We will be going to celebrate there every year for our anniversary. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could!
Cheers to the Ritz Carlton New Orleans for being the most fabulous venue to host a wedding!! The staff (Sanja, Kelly, Stanley, the chefs) from the coordinators to the banquet team are 5-Star, top notch employees. I feel like The Ritz is my home away from home. Fantastic service - you feel like the King and Queen of NOLA when you host an event at the Ritz- and I HIGHLY recommend this venue for any wedding or event!! I cannot express how wonderful it is to have wedding vendors that make the process effortless, are VERY responsive, and get everything done so the bride and groom don't have to worry about it! Thank you RITZ Team!
The Ritz did a fabulous job with our entire wedding weekend! From planning welcome parties in the Davenport Lounge, to creating a true New Orleans style wedding cake, to having Crawfish Monica on the menu, I couldn't have imagined a better venue. Everyone raved about the food, the customer service, and the gorgeous ballroom. My groom and I even had a 15 minute break before we went into the ballroom and got to sample one of everything on the menu! Being locals, we really wanted to host a true Nola experience for our guests, and the Ritz definitely delivered. Highly recommend for large weddings (we had about 400 guests) and those looking for an upscale, elegant, and true New Orleans reception.
Our wedding at the Ritz-Carlton was perfect. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. They made the event run so smoothly we didn't have to worry about anything. I highly recommend Jessica Rustoni and the team there. They are all professionals who take great care in what they do, and recommended other vendors just as qualified if they could not provide a specific service. The food and cake provided by the Ritz were wonderful as well. We're still getting compliments from guests about the wedding a month later!
Our wedding reception this past weekend at the Ritz-Carlton was amazing! We made the right choice with our venue. Our wedding coordinator, Jessica Rustoni, was so helpful in planning our perfect night. She told us early on, the things people will remember the most about your wedding are the food and the service. Needless to say, the food and service provided at our reception was impeccable. Endless compliments on our venue, food, and décor. Seriously people!!! The Ritz does not disappoint. From venue tours, to our food tasting, to our big day... everything was incredible and the staff treated us so well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Our reception at the Ritz Carlton was perfect! Our wedding coordinator, Marieke D, was incredibly thorough and timely in answering our questions during planning. She went out of her way to make our day amazing! Our guests RAVED about the food and the great bartender service.
The only item I would change was having our hair done at the spa at the Ritz. It was probably my own fault for waiting too long to book a hair dresser and the spa at the Ritz did a beautiful job but I was really surprised at how expensive they were!
