The River View at Frankenmuth Brewery

We are so thankful to have found the Riverview for our wedding! They were so flexible during our planning process. Due to Covid our event size decreased and we had a last minute change to include the ceremony at the Riverview too. Lindsey handled it all flawlessly. The venue itself is gorgeous and the view is lovely. Our guests loved the brewery vibe (we even had a unity beer as a part of our ceremony). We would recommend the Riverview to anyone looking for a beautiful and unique venue!

This setting is gorgeous for a wedding. They took on my wedding after the original venue fell through and once covid hit they were quick to communicate and by some miracle they made my wedding day a reality. They made accommodations for covid that made everyone feel safe while still allowing my dream wedding. Everyone was wonderful there and the food was delicious

Lindsey was the wedding coordinator for our wedding and she was amazing! She listened to what we needed and was quick to reply to phone calls and emails. This venue was beautiful and I received soooo many compliments! We had a 40 guest wedding and the space was plenty large enough to accommodate us. They were able to easily work within our budget. I highly recommend this venue!

We got married at the Brewery this August and absolutely loved it! The venue is beautiful, the food was great, and the staff were incredibly helpful. We especially loved working with Kara. She went above and beyond to answer our countless emails and to make sure everything went smoothly. We'd choose this venue again in a heartbeat!

Great venue!! We got to open the windows and everyone loved it. I had several people tell me it was there favorite wedding venue they have been to! The food was SO good and the staff was great! Kara was so easy to work with and made everything so easy.

The venue was gorgeous; we were complimented all night about how great the venue was. Working with the banquet coordinators was easy and they were so accommodating. The food was delicious and there was so much of it! Of course, the beer was great too. An open bar with 7 different craft beers is a good way to have a wedding.

Absolutely great weekend because of Frankenmuth Brewery. Like the reviewer below, I started the planning process with the (now old) event coordinator, Jamie. Though she was nice she was incredibly disorganized and horrible with communication. Unfortunately (and really thankfully) she was let go a few months before our wedding took place and Kara was hired on. And my goodness was it like light and day. Kara was incredibly attentive and great with communication. She had no idea we had a meeting scheduled with Jamie the week she was hired on but she made it work. Kara is great at listening and putting things into work. She never gives you a "no". Instead, she will find a doable way to make something work if what you requested isn't available. We had a two day event at the brewery (ceremony/pizza party Friday and reception Saturday). The entire staff were AMAZING to work with. The banquet and regular restaurant staff knew all about our staff and were incredibly attentive. The bartenders were off the chain too. They were so personable, hilarious, and memorized guests drink orders. And of course the venue alone was breathtaking and so clean. You can easily play around with the space and really create anything you want. The food menu also changed. We were a little shocked because it was more expensive than the original menu. But Kara told us they were revamping everything and wanted to give guests better quality food. And we totally could tell. The food on both nights was delicious. We still have people talking about how good the food was. Overall you can't get a better venue. With the super reasonable prices to the great service, they honestly took our expectations and blew it out of the water. Thank you SO much to Kara, Autumn, and the entire staff. You guys will always hold a place close to our hearts.

We got married at the Frankenmuth Brewery in June, and we had a lovely day despite a torrential downpour! The food was delicious (it's been a couple of months and I'm still getting compliments), we had a great beer and wine selection, it was the perfect size space for our number of guests (~120 with enough space for a photobooth and dance floor), and the view over the river was lovely. Shoutout to the entire front of house staff and to Autumn Dietzel for being so great to work with! The wait and bar staff members were quick, polite to my guests, and totally professional. Autumn worked on the events side and she was pleasant, quick to respond to my (many, many) emails, and got lots of compliments from my parents, who worked with her as well. I'm giving the venue 4 stars instead of 5 because we had serious difficulty during the planning process with some of the (now former) back of house/events staff that negatively impacted the day in some major ways. No need to get into it all here - after the wedding I worked with the general manager, Chuck Osberger, who was totally kind and sympathetic, and we worked out a completely fair and favorable after-the-fact solution. He's since hired a lot of new staff, including a banquets manager, who I'm optimistic will take future events at the brewery in the right direction. Given the new staffing, and all of the other lovely aspects of our wedding day, I'd recommend the Frankenmuth Brewery to anyone looking for a semi-casual but still beautiful and unique wedding or banquet venue. As beer lovers who wanted a classy but non-traditional wedding, it struck the perfect balance for us!

We recently(10/3/15) got married at the Brewery and it was AMAZING! I have spent the last year and a half corresponding with Dezarae via e-mail, as we live 2 hours away, and she was so helpful. No matter how many times I e-mailed her or what it was about, she made sure everything was perfect. We had the ceremony and reception downstairs in the River Room and it was gorgeous. We chose the barbecue menu and everyone loved it. The menu included things like hot dogs, burgers, brats, grilled chicken, potato salad and chips. We had several of the appetizers added as well and I hear they were delicious as well (we were out taking pictures while they were served!) We chose to serve beer and wine since it was all house made and it also came with sangria, which was the best sangria I've ever had! Toward the end of the night, we had pizza and root beer floats served and it was a great choice! People are STILL talking about how awesome the wedding was. Everyone loved the yummy food, drinks, and the unique atmosphere. If you are looking for a wedding venue that is different, this is definitely it. All of our friends and family said how they loved how unique and "laid-back" or wedding was! Dezarae is one of the most helpful women I have worked with and she will make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible! :)

We had our wedding reception at the Brewery and it was honestly the only venue we looked at - you could say it was love at first sight! It was where we had our first date, so when we discovered there was a banquet hall, we had to check it out. The space is beautiful - we loved the brick and wood, and the concrete floors (I hate ugly banquet hall carpet!) and our favorite part was the floor-to-ceiling windows that open up along the riverside - that was perfect later on in the evening and made it feel like we had an outdoor reception! We were so excited that a date opened up and we didn't have to wait until 2016! We worked with Dezarae the entire time and she was so awesome to work with! She was quick to respond to all my emails and never seemed to rush us when we had meetings in person with her. The food was amazing, and who doesn't love having all their awesome beers on draft - our guests were definitely happy! Thank you Dezarae and the Brewery staff for making our wedding perfect! =)

I feel like some background info about us is needed. My now husband and I decided in January of 2015 we needed to have our wedding ASAP, as we were very concerned grandparents would not be there in 2017 when I graduated from school. We are in our 30's, have been dating for 5 yrs, and I was NEVER the girl that wanted to plan a wedding. Between personalities, time constraints and writing a thesis for my current MS, we needed something simple to plan. We live in NC, my friends and family live anywhere from FL, to HI, to NH. My husbands family is entirely in MI. So we started to process of finding a location in MI. We found there were a few things that were VERY important to us. We needed to have some kind of emotional connection to the location, we wanted to get married outside, we wanted it to FUN and relaxing for everyone, we needed it to be as inexpensive as possible while still a great day, and LOCAL products. We LOVE craft beer. BREWERY? Could this be done? Would it be in our budget? Would it be as fun as it sounds? An emphatic, YES!!!! I stumbled across Frankenmuth Brewery. I sent an inquiry and within 24 hrs, my very own HERO responded. Dezarae would be there to help us out from that moment on! About the brewery... We were able to get married on the rooftop overlooking the river and covered bridge. Then we went downstairs into an amazing area!!! There was a bar just for us, the brewery decor is so naturally gorgeous. The area for our dance floor/games has amazing glass walls that completely open up making it such a great feeling. All of the produce was locally purchased and there was plenty of Frankenmuth Brewery beer on tap and even local wine selections for the non-beer drinkers! What was even better, the pricing for the venue was very reasonable in the first place. But because we wanted a Thursday, lunch wedding anyway the venue became incredibly affordable for us! The icing on the cake... So much was immediately taken care of by picking this venue. The only things we needed were cake, some personal touches of decor, music, flowers, photographer, and guests! I came up one weekend in May and was able to get everything I needed in place! Mainly thanks to Dezarae. She made EVERYTHING so simple for us. She had the food laid out for us to choose, gave me suggestions for florist and cake, and even helped us with details we ever would have thought of. The hotel was directly across the street to be easily stumbled to post-wedding shenanigans! THE DAY WAS PERFECT! We had a gorgeous, warm summer day with a perfect, FUN ceremony outdoors. We decided the morning of we wanted to cheers with the wedding party at the end of the ceremony. Instead of bouquets (Saving $) we had them all carry a tiny taster of beer down the aisle. She made this happen in moments. She was there to get everyone in place and make sure we were doing it right. During there ceremony we joked a few times about my hubby's obsession with hot sauce. When we got downstairs to eat there was a bottle of hot sauce at our sweetheart table for him, thx to Dezarae's attention to detail. The staff serving the wedding was PERFECT! I was even able to recycle the majority of the decor that we made ourselves to a server planning a wedding for her daughter. Dezarae helped us make this wedding completely US! We are very fun-loving, beer drinking, outdoorsy, relaxed people. And so was our wedding. We couldn't have found a better venue or a better person to get us there!

My daughter was married over Labor Day 2014 weekend at the Frankenmuth Brewery. Two words come to mind as we continue to bask in the post wedding emotions: magical and perfect! Of course, as the mother of the bride and her wedding planner, I was hoping for a wonderful evening, but this was awesome! We were looking for a venue last winter and stumbled upon the brewery. When we met with Nicole, I knew this would be the place! We were seeking to have an all vegan reception, and she was anxious to make that happen for us! I can't say enough about Nicole's professionalism, competence, confidence, and candor. Then mix it all with a sense of humor- wow! This is my only daughter and first time planning a wedding. Every situation was pleasant and I will have no horror stories to tell! The night of the event, Dezarae was right there making it happen! The Brewery added a comfortable elegance to the whole affair. The ceremony was in the lower level with windows giving a view of the river. Afterwards, guests filtered to the larger room for the reception. It was like a mini destination wedding. Those who got a room for the night could walk everywhere, even the older people. Guests stayed at the Marv Herzog and Fairfield Inn. The bride and bridesmaids all had there mani-pedi party and hair done at Shannon's place, Allure'a Salon, right across from the hotel and brewery. After the reception, many headed to the Main Street Bar. Thank you Frankenmuth Brewery! I highly recommend the Frankenmuth Brewery and the Frankenmuth community for a memory making event!

People ask me all the time how I had such a smooth wedding planning process over the two years I planned. I give full responsibility to the Frankenmuth Brewery and the five-star wedding team they have! The beautiful views over the Cass River, the rustic interior, and the professionalism of the wedding coordinator was outstanding. To our surprise, the Brewery had some major construction during our wedding process. The beautiful patio where I was going to have our reception, was torn down. This caused major anxiety for me and was really unsure if they new addition would be done in time for our wedding. Also during this time, our wedding coordinator left! I was one big stress ball... until I met our new coordinator days later. I have met a lot of hard workers in my time, never have I met someone so pleasant to work with, so in-touch with her passions. Nicole is professional, able to see your vision, and run with it for miles! Communication is key in wedding planning and the Frankenmuth Brewery wedding coordinators respond fast.. something every bride loves! Throughout the two years, Nicole and her team and my husband and I met several times, going over our proposal, table set ups, sampling foods, drinks, and more! The Frankenmuth brewery is top-notch when it comes to being organized! The new addition was completed months before our wedding and boy was I blown away at the completion! The new wedding room is beautiful--big windows all the way around the inside, vintage chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and still the old stair case leading to the upstairs makes the room feel and look extravagant Wedding Weekend: We had the pleasure of having our rehearsal at the brewery.Plan was to have our dinner on the top level patio. Unfortunately the weather permitted us to do any activities outside. The Brewery was quick on last minute changes and coordinated our entire rehearsal inside and it turned out beautifully. The Rehearsal dinner was amazing, which we picked the BBQ theme- highly recommended! After everything was done, the Brewery allowed us to decorate early, so we had less to worry about in the morning. Wedding coordinator stayed with us until we were done decorating, asking if we needed anything throughout the evening. Wedding Day: I arrived to the Brewery early to show my aunt some decor ideas. All of the tables were clothed and floors were clean. The Brewery staff helped with last minute changes to tables, adding chairs, moving a couple tables. The assistant was present during the entire morning process. I was very pleased to see this!!! Everything was set up in a timely matter--hours before our wedding ceremony started. Our ceremony was on the patio and turned out exactly how I envisioned it to look and feel. The weather was perfect, birds chirping in the background, and the Cass River around us! Yes, I am painting the perfect wedding photos in your head! Wedding Night: When we arrived after our party bus.. Everything was set up and ready to go! Nicole met me by the entrance and asked if I needed anything (right away-talk about professional) .Actually through out the night The entire Frankenmuth Staff continued to ask me & my parents if anything was needed! When something did need changed (add an extra chair here, take down that table for a little more room) it was done in a flash! Our food for the evening was the buffet--absolutely amazing. Food was hot and presentation was top-quality Overall, I was very pleased!

we loved the venue and were bummed when we couldn't book a date right away(we had a 5 month engagement so we were planning things quick!) but, things worked out and we got one and were so happy! The food was amazing ( guests are still talking about how great it was!) The chef was super attentive and talked with us about special requests ( we had a taco and poutine bar for late night snacks (I'm canadian so it was really special he did that for us!) Nicole was quick on responses and very helpful with a worrier like myself :) We had an amazing night at the Brewery and would suggest it to anyone who wants a laid-back wedding! They also let us decorate pretty much however we wanted ( my patios lights were a must, a lot of other venues wouldn't let us do that!)

If you're looking for a good spot in Frankenmuth for your reception, I hands down would recommend The Frankenmuth Brewery! From the start of wedding planning to the end of the wedding day I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of service we got. The banquet coordinator was very attentive through wedding planning, she made sure any questions or concerns we had were taken care of. We also had our rehearsal dinner there so we could decorate the night before. The Brewery staff was very accommodating, they let us have the room and use of ladders to put up decorations. The food and drinks at the reception were GREAT. We had Chicken Marsala and beef which was a hit with our guests. We had rave reviews about the open bar, the bartender was on point.

From day one, we knew that the Brewery was the perfect place for us. Amazing view, beautiful room, and great details all allowed us to never second guess our choice of the Frankenmuth Brewery. But once we met the great staff, it clinched it! Nicole went out of her way to handle everything for us from the food specifications to the linens. I never doubted that the wedding wouldn't come together perfectly. People are still commenting on how wonderful the food was (we chose the macaroni and cheese, chicken marsala, and the beef). But most importantly for me, I couldn't have been more thankful and impressed with the professionalism of Nicole. She answered all my questions promptly and seemed to understand how stressful and anxiety ridden weddings can make a bride. Especially a forgetful bride such as myself who forgot to grab my Christian Louboutins heels at the end of the night!!! Not to worry though, Nicole had found them and hid them in her office for safe keeping! Nicole saved the day and prevented me from dwelling on my lost shoes on my honeymoon. We wouldn't change a single thing about our wedding, so let Nicole and the great staff at the Brewery handle everything for you. You will not regret it.

When we walked into Frankenmuth brewery on July 26, I could never have imagined that we would be having our reception there not more than three months later!! Working with Karen, Nicole and Kelly was the most positive experience I could have asked for. They were beyond helpful! They were always available and still to this day we have our guests commenting about how great that venue is!! Several of our guests actually have been back there since because they were so impressed! The food was amazing, the venue was amazing and super accommodating! I could not have asked for anything better and I have been highly recommending them to everyone!! It was an absolutely amazing experience!!

We had the pleasure of having our wedding reception at the Frankenmuth Brewery and words cannot express how wonderful it was. From the very beginning, the staff was fantastic to work with. Nicole was exceptional helping us plan every detail of our reception. We had plated dinners and our guests are still talking about how wonderful the food was. The atmosphere is perfect if you're looking for something unique with the brick walls, wood and concrete floors and large windows overlooking the Cass River. I highly recommend the river level dining room as it has it's own real bar (not a tear down bar like most venues), separate "room" for cake/gifts/photobooth, elevator access, clean restrooms, really I could go on an on about this place! If you are having your reception during warm weather, I STRONGLY recommend renting the patio as well. Not only is it convenient and beautiful for guests, it can be VERY stuffy inside. Caution.......I absolutely do not recommend booking the hotel across the street as they were extremely rude and non-accomadating (thankfully we knew this ahead of time), instead I recommend The Bavarian Inn, they were fantastic to work with!

The Frankenmuth Brewery was perfect for our wedding! We chose this venue wanting to do something different from the average wedding- which we usually attend at some hall with a lousy bar and food we rarely remember as anything special. The Brewery gave us just the unique place we were looking for- a WONDERFUL plated dinner with lots of choices, a FANTASTIC open bar including all their microbrews on tap, and a gorgeous location in a cute, fun town, that we can go back to again and again on anniversaries or special times to remember our day! This location made our wedding as memorable to our guests as it was for us. The Brewery staff was so nice to work with, Nicole and Karen had everything pretty much covered and run smoothly so I didn't have to worry a bit! The reception room has such charm with its wood details and huge windows which show off the waterfront location, and on account of the weather being so phenomenal on Oct. 8 for us, they allowed our guests access to the patio outside which overlooks the beautiful Cass River running through town. I really can't say enough great things about this location- I HIGHLY recommend choosing it if you are looking for a unique occasion and amazing time!

We had our Sept. 3 wedding reception at the brewery. Karen was a breeze to work with and she and her assistant made sure everything was perfect. The food was spectacular. We had a plated meal with options of surf/turf, chicken marsala and a cheese tortellini. Every plate was served hot and all of our guests said they loved the food. My husband and I had the surf/turf and I have no idea how they cooked that many steaks so tenderly and served all at once. Yum! Our reception was in the private room on the lower level with views of the river and a private bar and restrooms. We have absolutely no complaints and the price cannot be beat. I checked a lot of places and you will not get a value like the Frankenmuth Brewery anywhere.

The Frankenmuth Brewery was the ideal place for our reception! It was on the lower level, and we had the reception inside but still had access to the patio; which was perfect for a summer wedding. The staff there was great! Especially Karen, she was so easy to work with and made life easy. The space was wonderful too, with all the windows facing the Cass River, brick walls, and open floor plan. It got hot in there with all the dancing, but still had an amazing time!!! We would definitely choose the Brewery again, in a heartbeat!
