If my husband and I had to do it over again, we would completely chose this venue. It is gorgeous, classy, and elegant. It fit into our budget and looked amazing. Natalie, our wedding planner, was very helpful through the process. The staff were attentive to details during the wedding. The only two things that need improvement: 1) there should be a sign at the entrance when a reception is downstairs (some of our guests signed in upstairs when we were downstairs) 2) guests should be told during the cocktail hour dinner will be served afterwards (some of our guests thought cocktail hour was their main meal and ate it as such). Other than that, it is a great venue that we highly recommend.
I recently got married on 4.30.17 and I cannot say enough about this venue! Everything was handled so great from start to finish. Jason was my contact and he was so easy going, he made me so comfortable, as if I was talking with my friend. The day of Ana was awesome ! Everything was set up just how I wanted it. Staff was great, food was great !!! I'm so impressed!! Loved it!!!
I was married here 8 years ago but I loved this place - great service, great location, great price!
Beautiful location and affordable.
I would NOT recommend this venue because of its customer service. Do not book this venue with Natalie. She was terrible and almost did not serve my guests on the day of my wedding because "I had a balance due". She ended up charging me 4 times in the week of my wedding. 3 days before my wedding she called and said everything was fine except I needed to pay for my vendors in cash. So I came by the next day to pay. The day of my wedding she said she didn't have any information about the wedding and I needed to pay for 15 more guests I knew I didn't have. So my mom had to dish out the money on the spot. She was having computer skills problems, problems getting change, and was rude to my husband and my mom. Other issues related to Natalie arose also, but I do not have space to describe her terrible customer service.
Also, ask a lot of questions about the pricing because I was surprised at the flower shop when the price breakdown wasn't what was explained to me.
The wait staff was also disappointing because they were eating the food right in front of us that was left over from the cocktail hour and two tables at dinner got there food a long time after everyone else was served. It is very unfortunate because the chef made a lot of good food. She is excellent.
All in all, my wedding did happen and I am happy I am marred so I do not have to deal with this venue again.
My Wife and I had an amazing wedding from start to end. Food was excellent, every guest loved the wedding thanks to Jason and his excellent staff. The views made our photos look amazing overlooking the water from inside and from the gazebo outdoors. Awesome bartenders they know how to make a great drink.
We had our wedding at the Riverview just a few weeks ago on September 12th, and what a fantastic experience. The staff were courteous, thoughtful and anticipatory and not only took care of me and my husband, but very attentively looked after our guests as well. The food was delicious, beyond my expectations for wedding food certainly, and every detail was perfect. We had our ceremony out on the gorgeous gazebo which overlooks the Hudson, followed by an outdoor Cocktail Hour and finally dinner inside. The view was phenomenal, the care given to us was exceptional and the wedding was absolutely more than I could have dreamed of. Thank you all so much!!
Natalie was our wedding coordinator. She is simply the best. She makes you feel like family and goes above and beyond to make sure your vision is achieved. Natalie was spectacular and she is the best at what she does. It is rare to find someone who can be professional and personable at the same time. My bridal attendant was spectacular. She took care of all my needs even while working a wedding before ours. Leticia our line chef was so sweet and she made sure we were happy with our food selection. She is a gem and I hope the Riverview knows what they have with her.
it was the best wedding ever. the serene was so beautiful.everyone keeps talking about it. i am indeed a happy bride
The RiverView was the best choice for our reception. We worked with Natalie who was awesome! She made the whole experience easy and stress free. The staff was professional, the food was fantastic, and the view was perfect. The upper room definitely has the better view so try to book that one. What's great about this venue is that we will be able to go back twice a year to celebrate Mother's Day at their annual brunch and ring in the new year at their New Year's Eve celebration. We couldn't have been happier with our choice!
I had my June wedding at The Riverview at Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Although its been around for over 60 years I feel that this venue is a true "hidden gem" in the world of wedding reception halls and venues. The Westchester location is truly unbeatable for guests coming from NYC, NJ or CT- which was a factor in why we chose it. But, the most significant factor in our choice was its a beautiful setting- it has sweeping views of the Palisades and Hudson River... and I mean breathtaking. They have lovely outdoor and indoor space to compliment their million dollar views.
We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at The Riverview and worked with Jason Price, he is super knowledgable and helpful throughout the entire process and was our go-to-guy on the day of our wedding. Everything was perfect. We used their recommendations for the flowers, the cake and the officiant. And I was very satisfied with those vendors- we received many compliments on our flowers and the officiant.
The space, the location, the setting, the staff and service make The Riverview a perfect venue for your wedding. I will have beautiful photos and memories for years to come!
They are extremely accommodating and help you if there are any issues with your vendors or anything else. They basically treat you like you are apart of their family. The rooms and views are beautiful. I was complemented on the cocktail and venetian hours. The only issues I had was the top shelf liquors wasnt what we were expecting so definitely ask about that and I was told by my guests after the wedding that the steak and chicken dinners were extremely dry. Those issues didnt compare to the over all fantastic experience we had. They are great and would definitely recommend them.
Riverview was amazing, my wedding went without a hitch, thanks to them. The food is delicious, the space is stunning, and the staff couldn't be more professional and thoughtful, we felt very taken care of! I couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue!
I loved the Riverview them moment I saw it. The View is breathtaking. The downside, my event started at 6:00pm in November. So there was no view. Keep that in mind if you are planning an evening event.
Natalie Uzzi was my coordinator at The Riverview and she is absolutely amazing. Natalie was so helpful and I am so glad I had her to help me with my big day.
All my guests loved the venue and the food, so all good there.
Now for some of the not so good.
It took a while to get my contract, even though I had put down 50%. I took a strong worded email to final get the contract and an apology.
Our first tasting had none of the items from the menu we received, so we asked for a second tasting so we could taste what we had put on our RSVP cards. I just didn't understand going in to taste that weren't on there menu, and I really did't want to send out a second set of RSVPs to accomodate the venue. Even worse The food we tasted the second time was better then what we had at the wedding. At the second tasting the Chateaubriand Bordelaise came with a beautiful mushroom reduction, at the wedding it was just the piece of meat. My husband sent his back because it was overcooked and lacked the reduction. At the second tasting the CBB was served with "Jack's Potatoes" which we loved, and were suprised that they were not served on our wedding day. Also the wines we had at the tasting were not the same that were served at the wedding, if that matters to you get it in writing.
I am very upset to have missed my whole cocktail hour. I should have had our attendant pull me 2 of each apps as I was unable to taste anything. This was because as I came into the venue I was informed there was an event in our cocktail room an hour after our cocktail hour. When I picked the Deluxe package I thought that we would have the whole place to ourselves. I also was told during our second tasting that we had the whole place from my planner. I also found it kind of rude to come and tell me we had to be out at 7:00 sharp. I spoke to the owner who basically discounted what I had to say and did not seam concerned in the least that I was upset. He said I must have misunderstood, and seamed to have no concern for the inconvenience. Then I was presented with a bill. I found that funny since I paid our palace in full as per the email i received at the second tasting. Brides beware, they tried to charge me for my vendor meals, when I had a 100 plate guarantee and only 85 plates used. This was also discussed at the second tasting, but apparently the owner "forgot". I was also billed for Table linens, which I thought were included. Brides confirm that so you are not handed a bill 15 minutes into you cocktail hour and have it ruined.
One of the other reasons I missed my cocktail hour was I was up at the door (until I got my brother to take over) directing my guest where to go, something I would have thought one of the staff would do.
I had also gone through everything with the person I thought was going to be running my wedding, only to find out the owner replaced him with some one else. For all the work I had done to make sure I enjoyed my cocktail hour, and make sure set up went well, and even a breakdown of tables and meals just went out the window.
The person running my wedding did add the ice cream bar for the troubles I had during the cocktail hour. Not like we didn't have cake and the viennese table.
I am happy to say I did enjoy my wedding, I just wish I had enjoy
Jason was awesome and so was his staff. The food was delicious and I couldn’t asked for more. Gina, staff, was super helpful and the venue was overall very accommodating. They alleviated my stress in many ways. I am so happy I chose this place for our special day. Affordable, classy, and gorgeous despite the rainy weather. Thanks so much for superseding my expectations!!!!
I'm glad i decided to change my venue to the Riverview,.. from the beginning they were great and our wedding day was amazing. I would definitely refer them to anyone. I honestly have no bad complaint about them and look forward to working with them in the future
