It has almost been 2 weeks since we had our wedding reception at The Room on Main and we cannot stop thinking about how perfect of a night it was. Throughout the entire wedding planning process every person I worked with was professional, organized, and so responsive. They did not miss one detail of our big day. The entire staff from the servers to the bartenders made the night so much fun and were so attentive! On top of that guest could not stop talking about how amazing the food was and that is why CN Catering is the best! If you are wanting to get married in Downtown Dallas you MUST look at The Room on Main! It was truly the best night ever!!

We just had our wedding at the Room on Main and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. From the first meeting with Madison, to the tasting event, and all the meetings and communication in between, I have nothing but positive comments. Madison and her staff were helpful, detail oriented, and a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. The venue looked absolutely stunning for our evening reception! I would highly recommend looking at this venue if you are planning a wedding in Dallas.
My husband and I just got married on October 4, 2024 and held our reception at the Room On Main. From the moment we toured the venue a year ago we knew we wanted to have our reception in this room. It’s absolutely beautiful, historic, floor to ceiling windows, the views are insane, the lobby is beautiful and it just felt like The atmosphere we were wanting. We met with Madison, who would soon become the most important person during our process, and she made everything so clear and smooth. She caters to every single couple and truly listens to what they want. She remained calm and patient throughout the entire year of wedding planning and was always quick to respond, quick to give advice, did what was best for us, and cared about the work that she was putting in. We truly can’t put into words the amazing job and the amazing person that Madison is. She will always be in our hearts for what she did for us. As far as experience goes, it was super smooth, straight to the point, and clear. Just know going into this reception room that everything is an individual item and you can pick and choose what you would like to add to your event and what you would like to leave off the plate. I appreciated the clarity and the non-pushiness to add everything on the list. You are required to use CN catering at this venue which is totally okay because their food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. They let you do a full event night during the planning process where you get to try their entire menu and there was not one item that my husband and I did not love!!!! All in all, I would use the Room On Main over and over and over again. I truly got the wedding night of my dreams and every single guest couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. We love the Room On Main and CN Catering and we are so grateful forever!

Venue was beautiful and everything went great except for the elevator being broken for the majority of my wedding, meaning some of my older family members were unable to come to the reception.
My husband and I got married at The Room on Main in May. it was simply... THE BEST. Everyone we worked with was professional, insightful, and helpful. Our guests were blown away with the venue and set up. Wish we could do it all over again! 10/10 recommend!!
Our wedding reception was everything we wanted it to me. We loved the tall ceilings, the big windows, the bridal suites, and the food was fantastic. There was plenty of room for our 185 guests and band -- but not too much room! It was perfect and gorgeous. Service was fantastic.
The Room on Main & CN Catering was our first choice and I'm so glad we didn't choose anywhere else. All night everyone was impressed with the food, the beauty of the venue and we were able to just enjoy the night with our friends and family.
One of the biggest reasons we chose this venue over others was also the convenience of the billing/invoicing. A lot of other places there is 'nickle and diming' as well as complex payment procedures but with this being a combined services (Catering and Venue) they really understood and the need to make sure invoicing was clear and making payments were easy.
The team is also very communicative and willing to work with you on budget and resources. Overall, you won't go wrong with The Room on Main.
Simply put, yes. TROM made wedding planning feel so stress free, honestly. Between them and CN catering having just about everything you need minus photographer/coordinator it made the decision planning that much easier. Communication was phenomenal and prompt. Amber and Madison were a pleasure to work with. Our wedding day was an absolute vision come to life thanks to TROM and their team.

The food was incredible which again, we heard from many of our guests. All of the staff was so kind and went out of their way to make it a great evening. I wish they would allow more set up time at no charge but it wasn’t too bad. Overall, can not recommend this venue enough! We had an amazing evening!

The Room on Main was a Beautiful Venue to host the wedding for our daughter and new son-in-law. Such a gorgeous room with soaring ceilings, big tall windows overlooking the downtown Dallas Fair Park area, could actually see the historic Ferris Wheel. The Staff from beginning to end was very accommodating, CN catering, Madison and Andrew, the entire staff from the servers to the bartenders were both so professional and amazing to work with and truly made the evening one we will not forget! The food was outstanding, and we received so many compliments of how delicious everything was from beginning to end, they did not miss a beat! Just as wonderful the second time around! My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by returning to the gorgeous venue where we got married. A decade later, the venue is still amazing, the food from.CN Catering is still delicious, and the staff is still impeccable! The only real complaint was the requirement to use their specific vendor Le Force for the DJ services. To have such an important celebration and not be able to use the DJ we wanted was a unfortunate. We had to settle for who we liked out of their selection. The DJ was ok, but I really would've preferred the DJ from our wedding. The venue does five the option to use an outside DJ, but you would still be required to pay an amount for DJ services to Le Force... even though no services would be rendered! Insane.
Can not say enough about this amazing venue!!! Every detail was executed perfectly and the staff from planning to the event was beyond professional and top notch! Best venue and service…we loved every minute of it and can’t thank Madison and staff enough🥂

The Room on Main was the perfect venue for our big day! The pictures of the venue are stunning, but do not do it justice. As soon as we walked into the venue for our visit we were blown away by how gorgeous it was! The windows let in so much natural light, the wooden floors are beautiful, and the tall ceilings make the space so inviting. We could not wait to be back for our wedding and it did not disappoint! The ballroom looked INCREDIBLE! The food was delicious, even better than we remembered from our tasting. The staff was amazing, they treated us like royalty the entire night. We chose stations for our dinner and they brought us a plate with a sampling from all of the stations and even a selection from our cocktail hour apps! The staff came to check if we needed a top off on our drinks. Overall, we felt so special and so well care for. The best part was that our guests felt the same way! I work with Emerald City Bands and our bands have performed at TROM many times. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. Every detail is attended to thoroughly with expert professionalism. They respond very quickly to all communication and I wish we could perform there every weekend!

I had my wedding reception at The Room on Main for my wedding in May 2023 and the space is beautiful! The room is spacious, plenty of room for our guests – 200+ and more could’ve fit in easily. The windows, floors, ceiling, etc. all looked amazing, and required very little additional decoration. The room is on the sixth floor downtown, and the windows create beautiful lighting during sunset and downtown lights when the sun goes down. We had a photobooth for a fun activity during the wedding, which our guests loved. Note that the in-house catering company is CN Catering.

The most beautiful venue in downtown Dallas! The wood floors, tall windows and chandeliers are the perfect timeless backdrop for an event - without having to spend too much extra money decorating. The natural light is amazing and made the space glow at golden hour. The lobby has recently been renovated and feels very luxe.
We had our wedding here (both ceremony and reception), and everything was great. There are small rooms for both the bride and groom, and they validated parking for all of our guests - hard to find downtown!
The only negative is that they mandate certain vendors - catering, DJ and photo booth. I only knew about the catering before the contract came out, so they could have been a bit more upfront with the others. We ended up happy with all their required vendors, but it definitely drove up the price. Not the most flexible venue in this regard, but we still had a great experience!

The venue is beautiful with big, open windows and gorgeous views all of downtown Dallas. Brooke and David were our two main point of contacts and were very helpful in the planning process. The venue exclusively uses CN catering and our guests could not stop raving about the food. It exceeded our expectations. This space is gorgeous with huge windows and hardwood floors that are seriously amazing. Everyone loved the space. Rating 4 stars b/c I really did love it. However, there were a few frustrating things that occurred. 1) I sat down with the coordinator a few months in advance and things we discussed in the meeting never made it in/out of our BEO (I should have been more forcefully on getting things changed but was certain it was discussed so partially my fault. AKA everything needs to be in your BEO). 2) Things that were in my BEO (like GF meals for specific people) didn't happen until my guest had the nerve to ask and after being told no and demanding to get another plate, the catering lead so oh yes you're right. 3) The layout of the room/couches was not correct day of and had to be moved delaying set up. 4) Beware, the initial example they give you for food was like 1/2 of what I actually ended up with (again my choices for food) but the "sample" they give you is literally the cheapest of the cheap items. 5) Décor that we brought and ended up not being used was "put away in storage" and was never found again. This included ~50 glass hurricanes. This list is more so "learnings" which is why I still rated them a 4, but sharing so that future brides are aware. Again, the windows and the space are very very beautiful.

Congratulations on your wedding, and thank you for choosing The Room on Main! We always appreciate constructive feedback, as we are continually striving to improve. We would like to respond to a couple of specific points:
a. Everything on a c...
lient's event order (BEO) is 100% itemized. We do this to ensure that there are no misunderstandings when it comes to what was or was not supposed to be at the event. We do require that all clients review and sign off on final event details 2-weeks prior to event date.
b. Regarding room setup - we did have to move the furniture so that the coordinator could setup their neon sign/grid wall, but the furniture was then moved back into place. For this specific event 5-hours of setup time was provided.
c. CN Catering provides multiple quotes at the initial venue tour, at a variety of price points (including a low-basic quote, mid-tier, and high end, all designed to show each client where they can start and where they can end up). There is a 37+ page menu available , and final menu selections are not due until 2-weeks before event date. All clients have 100% freedom to adjust their menu throughout the planning process.
d. Clients are allowed to provide their own decor, and we ask that all items are removed at the end of each event. Once we were were informed that items were missing, we checked storage and did not find any items left behind. The Room on Main does not provide decor for any events so it is very evident when items are left by clients.

It has been almost 6 months since our wedding and we can’t stop reminiscing on how perfect the entire day was. Our reception at The Room on Main was truly magical and exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a beautiful, classic city wedding aesthetic and a venue that can accommodate a somewhat larger wedding (over 200 guests) but don’t want a hotel, this is the place. We loved the views, the windows, the historical wood floors and chandeliers. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the room itself, as well as the food which was absolutely fabulous. We worked with David and CN Catering on a custom menu and really wanted to have chicken tikka masala as one of our entree options. It is notoriously hard to get right in our opinion and CN Catering delivered on all fronts. We really could not have been more pleased and if we could do it again, we’d pick The Room on Main/ CN Catering every time!

This place actually has an opportunity to be a great venue and just takes every opportunity to nickel and dime you all throughout your special event. Their practices are questionable at best. I spent over 20k for an event here for my daughter's wedding and at every turn the more I dealt with the more unreasonable I found them to me. They're unorganized and like I said will price gouge you at every turn.
Want an example? I'll give you a couple.
1. I own and operate a liquor brand and asked the venue to help me bring it in for the event to replace on of their bottom of the barrel generic brands of liquor. They agreed. Only to find out that they wanted to charge me $150 per bottle to bring it in. Let me explain this price. They get it from their distributors at $40 a bottle. And then turn around and charge me $150 for each. It's highway robbery. I understand a mark up but this is crazy. Especially since I'm spending thousands and all I asked was to help me bring in my brand to my special family event. When I asked about it, they were not flexible at all and explained that that's what bars and restaurants would charge.
2. The evening was going fine and we asked to extend the night by one hour. They obliged but made me sign an estimate without a final price. They explained that they would add tax and gratuity but wouldn't give me a total before I signed. In the heat of the moment I signed but it's definitely predatory in nature.
Overall they're not welcoming. Not kind. And will try and take advantage whenever they can. Don't book your event here.

ken seriously, as we are always striving to improve our service. Unfortunately this review contains a number of misleading statements, and some outright falsehoods.
1. We are certainly not disorganized. All clients, from initial tour to event completion, are handled professionally by a dedicated event manager. Food tastings, planning meetings, final walkthroughs, rehearsals, as well as event are attended by this event manager. All contracts are sent electronically, payments can be made on-line, and quote revisions are handled promptly.
2. Pricing – all pricing, for ALL services, are itemized on our proposals at every point throughout the planning process. All taxes, as well as applicable gratuity, are listed on every proposal, from initial quote to final quote. We do not “nickel and dime”, if fact, quite the opposite. No cake cutting fees, deceptive “service charges”, etc. All clients have an opportunity to review and approve any and all changes to their proposal before being charged.
Regarding this clients specific complaints:
1. Liquor – client asked us to source some specialty bottles of tequila. We presented him with a quote with the bottles added as an individual line item with the price included. This was done WEEKS before the event date. At no point did the client ask about pricing, and in fact signed off on this proposal. It was not until the following week, AFTER the event, that he raised an objection. Internal emails with the client support our version of events. We never had a conversation about pricing until after the event had been paid for and completed. Our pricing is in-line with any bar, club, or restaurant, and in fact is below industry standard when calculating a “by the glass” price.
2. Extended Time – client asked to extend by one hour towards the end of their event, and we willingly agreed. We were able to provide all pricing that would be charged, with the only stipulations being tax and gratuity will need to be calculated and added once we were back in the office. Everyone knows sales tax is 8.25% (and we are required to charge), and client is already aware of the 15% gratuity on the beverage portion of the bill. We even went out of our way to get a head count of 60 guests in that moment, so as not to over-charge the client for the guests that had already left for the evening. Hardly Predatory….
As always, our goal is 100% client satisfaction. Whenever we fall short of this goal we will own it, and work even harder to improve in the future. In this case we are not willing to agree with anything written by this client, and stand on our reputation as one of Dallas’ premiere event venues.

We attended a wedding reception here and everything about it was lovely! The venue was breathtaking with great view of downtown through the large windows. The food was excellent- I had shrimp and pasta, great salad along with everything thing else we ate including the appetizers. The wait staff was prompt and helpful not interfering with conversation. Hoping to have a reception some day for our daughter!

OMG!!! The entire staff and operations are fabulous! My daughter’s dream wedding came true. The food is so delicious (I’m a big time foodie). Bars were tended professionally, but very fun! As mothe-of-the-bride I felt pampered and well taken care of. I give them 10 stars
The Room on Main was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding reception. The room was stunning, it was nice and chilled (we were very thankful for this since our wedding was in July and it was 102 outside), and I can't say enough good things about the FOOD. CN catering knocked it out of the park. We visited so many different venues when we were planning our wedding, and I am so so glad we went with the Room on Main. It exceeded any and all expectations of what we wanted our wedding to be. David Kilpatrick was great to work with and answered all questions that my mom and I had during the planning process. The staff the night of the wedding was quick, attentive, and made sure guests were taken care of at all times. It you want a wedding with downtown views and absolutely incredible food, look no further. 10/10.
The Room on Main was a literal dream! The hardwood floors and floor to ceiling windows provided the perfect backdrop for our daughter’s elegant wedding reception. Michael was wonderful to work with and was extremely accommodating with our requests. CN catering provided a delicious meal and the entire staff was wonderful! I honestly don't know what these other reviews are talking about when it comes to COVID and the options to move dates. When I approached the venue to move my date, not only did I think about our horrible situation, but I cannot imagine what this small business is going through. There were some financial penalties with moving dates, however, the options given were more than fair. I do not know anyone else' scenario, but I do know there are at least 2 sides to every story.
Personally I had a very smooth process changing our date with The Room on Main.
My wife and I got married here a few weeks ago and let me just say, I could not have picked a better venue to host our reception during these crazy times. They of course had a few new regulations and restrictions due to COVID but they worked with us every step to make it as easy and smooth for us as possible. Thank you to Michael and the rest of the team for making my wife the happiest bride throughout the entire process!

We just had our wedding a couple of weeks ago at The Room and LOVED every minute of it. The extra precautions and protocols they had to implement due to the current pandemic were so smooth, they had all of the answers and I could not imagine having a wedding anywhere else during this time. We love the Room in Main!! The ballroom is beautiful and looks so pretty in the photos . Working with TJ was so great. He made everything so easy and was always available and happy to help in any way. The food was also wonderful. We received many compliments. TROM was everything I ever wanted in my wedding reception. I had been looking for a venue where my guests would be treated to a gorgeous view of the Dallas skyline; the TROM was perfect for this. Not to mention, the restored ballroom has so much character and is located in the heart of downtown Dallas. My husband and I are proud Texans and are very attached to the city so this couldn’t have been more perfect.
Food was our biggest concern during our wedding planning process. My husband is Vietnamese, and in his culture food means everything in a wedding (and can even affect how guests gift the couple!). Traditionally, Vietnamese weddings in DFW are hosted within a limited range of venues that can specially cater Chinese/Vietnamese food. We knew that a majority of our guests would be expecting this kind of food.
TROM’s biggest selling point was that food was their thing; and they absolutely delivered and went above and beyond my husband and my expectations.
TJ, our venue coordinator, worked with us EVERY step of the way. We were able to customize our menu so that we had traditional Asian food items while still keeping some Western entrée’s. CN Catering offered several public tastings of their (vast!) menu and we were also able to set up a private tasting with the chef. Quite literally, every small detail could be customized and was accounted for during our reception. CN Catering even went out of the way to recreate a special sushi roll that my husband and I had requested! They recreated it perfectly down to the T; and it felt like my husband and I were able to share something about ourselves to our guests through the food.
Our guests loved TROM and were impressed by the food. A lot of our guests remarked on how fast the food came out. My husband’s grandmother hasn’t since stopped talking about how much she enjoyed everything about the wedding and food- and this speaks volumes about the TROM! Looking back at our wedding, we feel very satisfied and incredibly lucky and blessed. I don’t think we could possibly be happier with how everything turned out. If we had to do everything again, we wouldn’t change a thing.
I attended a wedding here a couple weeks ago and just ran across it again on my search for the perfect venue, it must be a sign. The red carpet out front and greeter were a great touch. The views around Dallas were stunning. From the appetizers and specialty drinks to the food stations I was in foodie heaven. The staff was friendly and it was really one for the books. Now I just need the ring...
One of the best facilities to host a special event. TJ is the ultimate coordinator. He constantly keep us informed and was available whenever had questions. The space is amazing and I am so glad the wedding reception was there.

TJ and The Room on Main did an awesome job with pulling our wedding together. Our decorator, Donnie Brown, failed tremendously. But The Room was able to make it seem as if there wasn’t even an issue. Everyone had a great time and raves about the food!!
One of the most gorgeous venues in Dallas!!!! This place truly has it all. Floor to ceiling windows with downtown views, hardwood floors and a Bridal Suite and Groom's Room. The best part of this venue is the staff and the Catering team from CN Catering!!!! WOW!! Not only is the food absolutely amazing, always, but the staff is the best. Awesome venue for our wedding. The room was big and open with high ceilings. Lots of windows which brought in great natural light for our July wedding. It's a beautiful room which was great cause it doesn't need many decorations. We had wonderful time and couldn't have asked for a better venue.
Service - 4 Stars
Overall, we were satisfied with CN Catering. We loved the food and so did our guests. One area of improvement was communication and response time in the planning process and leading up to the wedding. We had a few instances where it took longer than expected to get our questions answered. Everything turned out fine but it made us a little anxious in the planning process. We were still happy with their service but just something they could improve upon.
The Room on Main is not only beautiful, but their team goes all out to make sure events are carried out to your liking. Since I have never planned a wedding, but they have done many, I appreciated their experience and support throughout my planning process and knew I could leave a lot of details and behind the scenes aspects up to them. Their staff also made us feel like royalty on our wedding night and were so welcoming, which was a huge bonus! We also received many compliments on the venue and food. Our guests especially liked the crab cakes! Picking this venue was easily one the of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.

The minute I walked into The Room on Main, I fell in love with the ballroom for it's large windows and natural light. The venue is indoor and can accommodate a large guest count, which was perfect for our July wedding. I appreciated the fact that the venue exclusively uses CN Catering and provide lighting services and linen rentals, as those were a few less vendors I needed to find on my own. The team provided a great planning timeline for me to reference and was responsive throughout the planning process for any questions or changes I wanted to make. On the day of, the venue was set up exactly as we discussed and was a comfortable temperature all night.
I can't say enough great things about The Room on Main and CN Catering. Our entire experience was wonderful. Our guests raved about the venue, food, and of course, the bar. The staff and service was incredible! They exceeded our expectations. The entire planning experience was so smooth. There was a transition of wedding planners while we planned our wedding. I feared this would become an issue, but they didn't skip a beat. This team is extremely professional and works hard to keep their client happy. Highly recommend!!
Alma and her staff were so helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. She accommodated all of our requests during planning and no detail was forgotten day of. The food was delicious and their service was seamless. Highly recommend The Room on Main!!
Warning - this review is rather free-flowing and has little structure.
FIRST - Alma is AMAZING. She, and The Room on Main were accommodating, engaging, responsive, and just downright nice!
We did both our ceremony and reception at the venue. The room flip took just minutes and was non-intrusive. The giant windows gave us GORGEOUS light for the ceremony (4 in the afternoon), and then the uplighting created a warm, happy environment for dinner and dancing.
Food - We did the cheese selection for an appetizer, and the whole display was empty by the time my wife and I got back from taking photos. I think they liked it.
For dinner, we had chicken and fish, and both were generally praised. They have an incredible selection of options at every budget point, and will customize anything for you.
Bar - YOU CAN PROVIDE YOUR OWN BOOZE ON FRIDAY OR SUNDAY (but not Saturday), and that's what we did. We still paid a corkage and per-person fee in addition to our own alcohol, but we estimated we saved about $3000 as opposed to going through them. Everything was served properly.
The only 2 caveats to the venue are here:
First, there was a miscommunication on the recipe for one of the signature drinks that we customized. It's both ours and the venue's fault equally, and did not diminish the review. My only word is - if you have a signature cocktail of your own, make sure the recipe is written out to the letter.
Second, the groom's preparation room is small. Like less than 10x10 small. So if you're expecting a place to hang out with your groomsmen at the venue, it won't be in there.
Overall - the best day of our life was perfect. Thanks Alma!
