The Rose of Sharon

Melissa and Kim did a fantastic job with my wedding flowers. The bouquets were beautiful and the perfect size. We also did our centerpieces with Blossom Hill and they turned out wonderfully. They listened to my vision and helped pick flowers that would fit in and add a pop of color where needed. I loved them!

Melissa Oothout is so talented and was absolutely amazing to work with. I can't express how grateful I am. I met with Melissa just a few weeks before my wedding as we had a venue location change due to COVID. She was flexible and worked with me to get everything accomplished in a timely manner. She was patient, easy going and knowledgable. She helped me create the exact look I envisioned. She is such truly an artist! I still can't get over how beautiful the dahlia flowers were. I was also looking to bring in a touch of light light blush and the color was perfect!! From the large urn arrangement at our ceremony to the centerpieces, cake flowers, bouquets and boutonniere's, everything was absolutely gorgeous. Melissa even made two trips to first bring my bouquet and boutonnieres to the location where we were getting ready and then later in the day transported the rest of the flowers to our venue, The Barn at Gibbet Hill. She set everything up and brought the urn arrangement to the castle ruins for our ceremony. Melissa, we can't thank you enough for all of your hard work. We would highly recommend!!

Our flowers from Rose of Sharon at Blossom Hill were awesome. We had a relatively small wedding (only 57 guests) and a small wedding party (only a maid of honor and a best man). We felt that our flower order was very reasonably priced and everything came out perfectly. My maid of honor and I especially liked the little signs pinned to our bouquets letting us know which bouquet was for which person. Melissa's shop in Dunstable is storybook perfect and it was a pleasure to visit a few times throughout the planning process. We would definitely recommend Rose of Sharon.

The flowers themselves were everything we had hoped for, but as the father of the bride, my hope was that by prepaying all vendors many weeks in advance, I could simply enjoy the wedding. Unfortunately, this vendor arrived with a bill in hand...despite being paid in full six weeks earlier. I was forced to find and send canceled checks just hours before the ceremony...and it left me with a terribly bad feeling on a day that should have been one of the happiest. So...make certain you are on the same page before the wedding day.

Melissa did such a wonderful job with all of the flowers! I know nothing about flowers, but that didn't matter because she knew exactly which flower I was talking about based on my very odd descriptions, ("That leafy thing that looks and feels like bunny ears.") All I had to do was describe the look and feel of what we wanted our wedding to be like and Melissa had it all worked out! She knew exactly what we would like, and boy did we LOVE everything! The flowers stayed beautiful all night long. I was so impressed by everything!

Melissa's ability to work with our overall vision and budget was nothing short of incredible. Her patience, and ability to realize what we were looking for in our winter wedding was so far beyond our expectations, and was absolutely perfect! We had people commenting on the 3 different centerpieces all night, and would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! Thanks Melissa!!!!

Melissa is fantastic! My mom discovered her through a friend and told me I had to visit her flower shop and I was not disappointed. She was easy to work with, always quick to respond via email and my flowers turned out absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't have dreamed they would be as beautiful as they were! Melissa’s arrangements were perfect the day of the wedding and pricing was very fair I thought. My bouquet was especially gorgeous – she really went above and beyond and took the time to understand the feel of the whole wedding - it showed in the arrangements. She was on time delivering items and was great at accommodating all my requests. She even did a demo for me of a centerpiece I was unsure of how it would look. Her beautiful work aside, the reason I chose Melissa was because she was very responsive and easy to work with. Some other florists were either out there or a little too intense for my taste so I am very glad we found Melissa. The second I met her, I was like yes, why can’t all vendors be this easy to work with? Highly recommend Melissa and her team at Rose of Sharon.

Oh my gosh, Melissa is the best. She's easy to work with and super knowledgeable. I worked with her on floral arrangements and bouquets for my wedding, and they turned out amazing. We worked with Melissa and she was phenomenal. She (and the flowers!) exceeded all of our expectations. The bouquets were huge, absolutely gorgeous, and very reasonably priced. She even made me a flower crown and provided flowers for our cake! Everything was delivered on time and in great condition. We couldn't be happier with the service we received!
