vent coordinators were excellent and very attentive. We were especially impressed with what came included with the package- Chiavari chairs and linens in multiple styles/colors. Cake was included as well! The food was incredible. Many guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. We did our welcome event there the night before at Monteverdi which had amazing food that my family is still raving about. Our families don't drink alcohol and the Sonesta put together a soda bar with a signature mocktail, and they also threw in some sparkling apple cider for the toasts. Great location for visiting guests that want to site see. A very easy place to host a large wedding in Boston!

The cocktail hour space and ballroom have beautiful views of the city which makes it such a special place to get married at! The entire team, from servers, bartenders, and hotel workers, went above and beyond to ensure that our guests had a top notch weekend. Our guests raved about the food and drinks! We also had our after party (ArtBar) and the next day brunch here, which were also well executed because of Bianca and her team. we are so thankful for the staff and help from Jim Anello to make the night happen. The rooms we reserved for the weekend were stocked with cheese, wines and snacks for when we arrived along with our parents suites and the staff treated us like royalty! The night of our wedding was flawless, our guests still cannot stop talking about how delicious our food was (truly was a 10/10) and how perfect the ballroom looked. Even our late night snacks are still being talked about!!! Our head waiter, Mario, at the reception never left us without a drink in our hand and truly catered to our every need. We are so thankful for the Sonesta and will treasure these memories forever.

For every step along the way, from the planning process (which was longer than anticipated thanks to covid postponements - which the Sonesta was so incredibly helpful and accommodating with) to the end, Bianca flawlessly guided, assisted, and implemented our vision. We appreciated how she responded immediately to all our numerous emails and questions, took care of ALL of our special requests, and gave us lots of great ideas. We were so worried about all the little details and Bianca continually made us feel more relaxed with her knowledge and command of the event and of the workings of the hotel! When the wedding weekend began, Bianca was so attentive to the whole bridal party, family members, and honestly every guest - making everyone feel so special! Bianca ran the rehearsal like a seasoned pro and then day of- she transformed the rooms to our exact plan and then some! Everything was beyond perfect! My mom visiting the area to check in, interrupting preparations; and each time, Bianca stopped what she were doing to show her the progress of what was done! Never a complaint, always a smile. Bianca was always so very calm and made us feel so comfortable constantly. The Sonesta staff was always present and available and always with a positive and happy attitude and took such good care of us!
All of our guests kept telling us over and over how great the food was, how kind and attentive the staff was, and how wonderful everyone they encountered treated them. The food was outstanding! High quality restaurant level food, not normal wedding banquet food we have had at other weddings. Appetizers to dinner to late night treats to the brunch! We loved having the same staff help us over the weekend. They all seemed so focused and determined to make our weekend be perfect. And it was!

He even gave my mother and I a candle with the sent they use at the hotel! I fell in love again. My husband was at work at the time but I called him right after and told him this is where we are getting married! We canceled our other venue tours and booked with Jim.
Throughout the wedding planning process Jim was amazing. When the ArtBar opened back up he had us for dinner and discussed the wedding with us. We had an issue with the church we were getting married in with covid and had to change our plans. James took right over and had our ceremony at the hotel. It was SO beautiful.
Our wedding was the best wedding ever. James had us do a private dance before our guests saw the ballroom, he helped with the cake cutting, when and brought bags down and found things I misplaced. Oh and the food! I've never had better food in my life.

The Sonesta's location is central for local guests and those who traveled. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Guests commented on the hotel staff being welcoming.
As for the ceremony, cocktail reception, and dinner - it was all truly fantastic. The bar staff was amazing and we had a large group! People truly loved the passed hors d'oeuvres. And the cod, sirloin, and risotto dinner options were stellar. The team was so on top of any and all dietary issues as well.
Our wedding package included a cake from "Icing on the Cake" and Paula and her team were great. Not only was the cake beautiful, but it was fantastic. Even the gluten free cupcakes we offered were delicious. So glad we went with the package that included this option.
Having everything located in one place - the second floor of the hotel - made everything so convenient - and offered some of the best views of Boston.

The weather did not cooperate, but Ashley and her team set up the room like the cocktail party I envisioned. I could have ever imagined. The package included everything; food, cake, servers, day-of-coordinator, linens, tables/chairs, all table settings, and a bridal suite! My coordinator Michael organized all the vendors so that all I had to worry about on my wedding day was getting married. From the moment I checked in for the big weekend, the bridal suite, located on the top floor, was jaw-dropping with a full 180 degree view of the city, 2 balconies, 2 bathrooms, a parlor, and of course the bedroom. I was able to get ready in the room making me feel like a true princess on my wedding day. From there, everything was orchestrated perfectly. The waitstaff was so attentive, I had friends and family come up to me to comment on how impressed they were. The food was delicious and the cake package allowed me to design a gorgeous cake by The Icing on the Cake. My bridesmaid even said to me, "where did you get Michael, your coordinator?!" and I was able to say, "he came with the hotel!". Overall, the Royal Sonesta was able to be more than just the setting of my fairytale wedding that I will treasure forever.
