Trying to my make wedding planning as smooth as possible, I was lucky to find The Saguaro, Palm Springs. The Saguaro stood out above all the other nearby venues for excellent cust...omer service. Having worked in the industry, I understand the amount of time and energy it takes to make an event flawless. From start to finish, The Saguaro was amazing.
There is a beautiful outdoor event space that accommodated our 170 guests. Conveniently, almost everyone stayed at the Saguaro Hotel giving many opportunities to run into guests at the pool, El Jefe bar or as they arrived to start the party. We had a welcome party the night before at El Jefe with pitchers of margaritas and beer, chips, salsa and guacamole. The bridal suite was available for myself and the bridesmaids to get ready together. Water and Cava provided! The ceremony was one mile down the road at Moorten's Botanical Garden. At the reception, Moonsville Collective played bluegrass music. We had 10 belly bar tables set up and two communal tables along the perimeter. Iron Chef Jose Garces Group eloquently prepared heavy passed apps including Oaxacan Chicken Mole Tostada, Grilled Baby Lamb Chops, Mini Lobster Po'Boy and more. In addition we had a stationary table with Cheese & Charcuterie and Crudites & Fruit. They made the cake as well and there were two bars! We danced until 10pm then continued the party at El Jefe. The next day we had a pool party with an area reserved and included tacos for our guests. We danced all day in the sun to the resident DJ's mixes.
Daniel Gibby, the Senior Sales Manager, worked with us to create a block of rooms with our own web address for convenient booking.
Living in San Diego, Tarise, the Senior Catering Manager was extremely reliable, answering all our questions through emails and in-person. She was also helpful providing vendor recommendations and advise to complement our vision. Her chill, laid back personality helped calm the nerves of this bridezilla :) Along with Pip, the Catering Coordinator, Tarise made a mock set-up of the event and took pictures so we could have an idea of how it would all lay out.
Dan Burgess, the Hotel General Manager was extremely hospitable to us and our guests. While hanging out at the pool the day before the wedding, Dan came over and introduced himself to my grandparents. They were so impressed! He added so many little details to our special day that were so thoughtful.
In addition, the Saguaro provided beautiful chandelier lighting at the reception. They included two free upgraded suites and the newly wed suite was free the night of our wedding. Additional venders we used include My Little Flower Shop for flowers, Nicole Lorenzana for hair and Cardiff Limo for transportation.
The entire experience was perfect.
