The Sands Lido Beach

I just had my sons Bar Mizvah at the Sands, and it was a huge success. There was plenty of room for all of the different stations I had there for the children and enough for the adults as well. Everything was set up beautifully. My son had a great time being the center of attention, The price was right for everything we had there! All of his friends and our family had a great time as well. The Sands definitely helped make this party one of the best that our friends and family have attended in a while.

Although it was a bumpy ride along the way, they really pulled it off. The Sands was purchased by the Dover Catering group a few months before I went to look there. We knew we did not want a traditional wedding and had a vision in our minds. The first person we spoke to was on our page 100%, but they soon left the company. From that point I went through about 4 different people to explain our vision with frustration. There was a lot of people that were not up to par for the job of planning a wedding. One person even forgot about our tasting! Then had the audacity to blame us. Eventually they got their acts together. The staff there now is on top of it. They were more than accommodating and made sure we were given everything that was promised from day 1. I truly enjoyed working with Nicky and Vera. The room looked exactly how were visioned it. The cocktail hour was beautiful. They returned everything back to us. We had specialty beers, drinks, top shelf liquor with extra of what we liked. We had a themed wedding and the chef did an amazing job coming out of his comfort zone to prepare excellent food. This venue provides a spacious room with a large stage and dance floor. They have uplighting so you dont have to pay extra for it and huge screens to play slideshows/movies. I did not like the dated light domes so I purchased paper lanterns and they hung them for us. It is a "one party" at a time type of place. The bathrooms are new and clean. They are definitely worth looking at if you want a beach themed wedding. We have beautiful picture behind the establishment.

Perfect venue for the perfect wedding reception. We got married in Cancun last month and had a small local reception for those who could not make the destination wedding. Sands on Lido Beach is truely a one stop shop, they take care of everything!!! (DJ, Cake, decorations, etc) The venue was absolutly beautiful!!!!

The staff was very nice and worked with my price and accommodation my requests. The bridal suite is VERY small and it was difficult to accommodate my 16 person bridal party. Only about 5 people could be in the room at once and that is pushing it. The day of the wedding everyone was very wonderful and attentive however, hour reception started 45 minutes late and we were not given the time back, this threw off my DJ and photographer .

My fiance and I had such a blast planning our wedding at The Sands on Lido Beach. The coordinators really embraced that it was not a typical wedding, and came up with so many great ideas for our guests!!! We took advantage of their wedding package. Really glad we did! The food was fresh, and the service was top grade!

The Sands on Lido Beach did an exceptional job with my daughter's wedding. We were the only party going on, so all the attention was on us. I loved the room, and how clean everything was. Can't thank them enough for all the happy memories!

Can't wait for the big day! I decided on The Sands on Lido. Just left a deposit. Really impressed with the rooms and the food. (Did a tasting not too long ago.) Barbara was really nice!!!

It all starts after we had paid the hall 90% of the money at that point I was no longer important whenever I called to ask a question Michael the "Manager" was way to busy for me I had a package deal which in turn was the biggest nightmare .I chose this because it was convenient and the price was within our budget but now I wish I would have chosen a different venue . First we never even got to sample the food because acording to Michael it was so close to the wedding 3 weeks prior that he was going to have us come in on some one elses event and sample their food ! Can you believe that ?? Not the food we chose but some one elses on their special day I would be very upset if that was me . I chose not to do that since it was not what we had discussed in the beginning . When we did the contract with Michael it was video, photography, dj, ceremony, invitations, limo and bouquets included so all i had to do was call his vendors and schedule what i needed the only thing that went right was the invites. On the day of my wedding the limo was 40 minutes late and the only reason it even arrived was because my groom had to call them , so at this point because of the tardiness I ended up having to change in the limo because we were very late as it was . then as I am getting ready to walk down the isle my maid of honor asks me whee are the bouquets I said I don't know please get michael he probably has them . But he didn't because they never arived thank God I had made my own center pieces and had extra flowers I ended up walking down the isle with a center piece as my bouquet my flower girl was given a .99 cent wicker basket that tey found in the back and filled with petals from an arragement that was in the entrance and my groomsman had a purple lilly as a boutonier mind you my flowers were white callas and hydrangeas. It was just awful I had waited for this day and everything went wrong and all because The sands did not follow up with their vendors I would not recommend this venue because of the awful service lack of follow thru and most of all lack of empathy when they messed up . To top it all of I had to fight to get the money for the flowers and I am still trying to get that money back next step is court. If you want your wedding to go smooth please select a different venue it is just not worth the aggravation.
