The Shores Resort and Spa

My husband and I had our wedding at The Shores on October 6, 2023. We worked closely with Donna Crane from before contract through the end of our event. She made us feel more comfortable in our decision to have our event at The Shores with every encounter. Donna was our go to person for questions (and there were many) and to validate that our decisions weren't any we would regret down the line. She always responded in a timely manner and was a delight to work with. We had a Welcome Party the night before our wedding at The Shores, as well. We can't say enough positive things about the experience at The Shores and working with Donna!

We cannot think Donna crane and the entire staff at The Shores Resort and Spa. Our wedding was over the top. From day one when we selected this venue it has been on point, professional, fun, and so easy with all of the vendors supplied. I never imagined such a beautiful venue and wedding day and how it all coordinated and went right together. Each and every one of the staff were absolutely amazing. This Resort is beautiful, dog friendly which is what we love so we can bring goose. Thank you thank you thank you. I would highly recommend this venue for weddings or any other function.

Donna was a complete joy to work with for my daughter’s wedding. She is professional, efficient and gives it her all to make your special day complete. I would highly recommend Donna at The Shores Resort for your wedding or event. You will be very satisfied!

The Shores is a great resort and beautiful views. Their terrace rooms are worth the splurge! We had a big walk in closet which was super helpful for all of our wedding stuff. Donna was absolutely the best! She is so personable, fun and easy to reach. She is genuine and she provided us ease and confidence throughout the entire process. We are very grateful to have worked with her! We can't wait to get our pictures and go visit. She wasn't able to work the day of our wedding but her counterpart Rose did a wonderful job, she was on top of everything. We have to also give a shout out to Christy in their catering group and Sally from Chicago our bartender. They gave top notch, friendly, fun service!! We wouldn't change a thing. The hotel looks lobby has a certain aesthetic look that gives it a unique feeling. The pool and ocean closed the deal with our wedding guests. For any event, The Shores is a perfect, efficient and smart place to hold it. I'd like to specifically mention Donna Crane - the wedding genius. The shores were absolutely breathtaking! The staff and wedding team are on point! I loved how efficient Donna and her team were! Coming from many people in the entertainment and events industry this was an all around pleasurable, memorable and smooth experience. I recommend the Shores to anyone looking for professionalism and beauty for their special day!

They were great but we were disappointed when we had to move the reception to downstairs due to water damage from the hurricane. Our photographer was good but she had a little but of an attitude when we asked her for certain pictures and got defensive when we didnt pose exactly how she wanted. Other than that it was a good experience. And would recommend to other couples!

Reached out to The Shores Resort in May 2022 about booking our wedding in September of 2022 Donna was quick to respond and so nice! She was with me every step of the way with any questions or concerns I had. We even had a separate location for the reception and the hotel was still accommodating. The Shores is a beautiful location if you love the beach and want to get married overlooking the ocean but without getting your feet all sandy. I could have asked for more. Donna was also helpful in giving me references for florist, DJ and officiant to make everything flow seamlessly. Loved every part of our wedding here!

I just want to start by saying, planning a wedding is not easy at all. And for us to plan a destination wedding, at a venue we never visited before, EVERYONE EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATION!!!!. From the valet, bellman, frontdesk, the servers, bartender, chefs, even the guest staying at the hotel. Our hotel suite was perfect!! The food for our Wedding was cooked perfectly!! My family was so amazed by the weekend experience at your hotel. We gathered at the fire pit all day, the day before the wedding, making smores at night. This was an awesome meeting place for both families. And it was AMAZING!! From my past experience of working at The Ritz Carlton as a banquets traininer/ bridal butler, I knew I wanted a certain level of service. And when I tell you Donna is the best I've ever seen!!! My husband and I had the best time of our LIVES!! Our whole family can not stop talking about our wedding and will forever have these memories of us together at your BEAUTIFUL RESORT!! My husband and I plan to visit every year for our anniversary ( alot of family says they want to come back with us). This was MY DREAM WEDDING!!! I've seen so many brides get married over the years, so when it became my turn, you don't know how much it means to me the way you and your staff took care of us and our families the entire weekend!! I will forever be grateful for all you guys have done for my husband and I. God Bless you all!!

What a wonderful time we all had at the Shores Resort and Spa! Everything was beautiful and wonderful! The food, and the service was amazing! The facility is beautiful and working with Donna Crane was great. She was professional and quick to reply to questions and concerns. You won’t be disappointed. The food and wait staff was excellent.

The best decision made was having our wedding at The Shores Resort and Spa. It was elegant and had all the amenities to make our day special. Donna made the day stress free and lovely. She handled all the details like the marriage clergy, photographer, dinner by the beach...even Smores by the firepit! She handled it all! We appreciate them all as our memories of our special day includes them...so thank you for making our day memorable and having us feel special. We are grateful and appreciate all of you.

I have nothing but positive things to say about having my wedding at The Shores Resort and Spa! Everything was such a pleasant experience from the initial visit to tour and ask questions to the actual day! Donna Crane is an angel! She is so friendly and helpful! I had so many questions and she happily answered them all! She and Lisa helped me set up my room blocks for guests and menu tasting. She stayed in contact with me in the months, weeks, and days before the wedding to make sure everything was in order. I unknowingly booked on the weekend of a huge cheer competition and they helped me switch to a different weekend where it would not be as busy and more rooms were available for my out of town guests. I also had a couple of last minute hiccups and she helped me settle them. The room for the bride and ladies in the wedding party to get ready was great. It is on the same floor as the ballrooms. That was very convenient since I was setting up all of the decorations myself. The only nuisance was that hotel guests just exploring kept coming to the rooftop floor to check it out and four separate groups of people walked into our spaces to look around even after they saw that we were having a wedding up there. Not a big deal but kind of annoying to have strangers in your business.. The food at the reception was delicious. The servers and bartender were especially attentive to me and my husband at the sweetheart table. The entire staff was friendly and attentive from arrival to departure. From the valet and the reception clerk, to the servers and bartender. Even the workers I saw in the halls were very friendly. Our room was amazing with a beautiful ocean view. I had always dreamed of a beach wedding with the ocean in the background, but it had been storming all week. Donna and the staff still made sure that our indoor ceremony was just as nice despite the weather. The pergola and outdoor ceremony and cocktail space is very pretty and roped off so people from the hotel won't accidentally walk into your event. The indoor ceremony/reception space is a spacious ballroom with large windows overlooking either the river or ocean. We had 50 guests and it could have easily accommodated many more people. The dance floor was a good size. The open bar was fabulous! All of my guests commented that the bartender was very friendly and attentive to the guests' requests. Overall, everyone was very happy with this venue and its staff. Special shoutout to Donna and Lisa! I even had some local guests who liked the place so much that they said they were going to visit again by themselves. My husband and I will be here every year on our anniversary since we only live an hour away! Great location and experience!

It’s not often you find an outstanding coordinator and sales manager. I am beyond pleased with the customer service we received at the shores resort and spa. Thanks to Donna our wedding ceremony and reception went flawlessly. If anyone is considering the shores for their wedding or simply for a little vacation I highly recommend!

We had our wedding at the shores resort and spa on June 26, 2021! The rain tried and tried to stop us but finally we got a window and the ceremony was outside! Donna crane literally is the absolute best and if you don’t have the opportunity to work with I her, I would feel sorry for you because she MADE my wedding. The resort decided to do some landscaping at the ceremony space 2 DAYS before my wedding leaving an ugly wall as a back drop for the wedding. When Donna saw this she worked over time not only for me but the 2 other brides that weekend to bring in tropics foliage. She didn’t want anything deterring our special day! She responded very quickly to any email I sent on the 9 month span of planning and always was there with suggestions and recommendations as well as keeping certain family members happy and on the right track! She’s a godsend! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I felt like the hotel (aside from donna) could have done a way better job on delivering a few things that were promised or making things right when the were not able to deliver.

Our catering manager/wedding coordinator was Donna Crane. Donna was professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with; our wedding and dinner went off flawlessly. The food was excellent! The venue was beautiful. The hotel itself had a few operating flaws - no daily cleaning of rooms available, the main restaurant was closed for renovations, and there appeared to be a general lack of staff. That said, these shortcomings did not significantly effect our enjoyment of the weekend.

Our wedding was beautiful. Donna Crane was accommodating, informative, calm and delivered. With any wedding there were hurdles but the event staff was present and responsive. We made great memories at a beautiful location with an experienced team.

Donna Crane is amazing. From the first time I spoke w her on the phone til we walked down the aisle and the reception ended, she was on top of everything. She kept us informed, calm and we never had a worry. I would recommend anyone getting married to come visit Donna at The Shores and be treated to an incredible wedding experience.

Donna was amazing in helping us with the wedding to make sure that we had everything set, organized and made it so much less stressful for us being this is our first wedding to plan. She knew exactly what we wanted and even exceeded our expectations. She is truly amazing in what she does and keeps you involved and aware of everything the entire time. My now husband and I had the most amazing time at our wedding at The Shores. When we began the wedding planning process, my husband really wanted a beach wedding… And I personally REALLY didn’t want a beach wedding (probably because I grew up near the pacific and know just how crowed and dirty beaches can actually be). We agreed on what I call “beach adjacent” venues for our wedding meaning the beach was there but we didn’t have be actually be on the sand. We toured several different properties and both initially liked different venues. He instantly loved The Shores, but I was drawn more toward a venue on the gulf side of the state. Since we live out of state the ease and convenience of The Shores is what really sold us. Most importantly the shores came with Donna! Donna, the catering and events manager, is simply the most amazing person ever. She is so kind, attentive, funny, professional, and all around amazing. I simply can’t say enough good things about her. She answered all of my calls, emails, and questions with speed and grace. She handled last minute additional events (like a impromptu welcome cocktail hour, and day after family dinner) that our families wanted to host. Her team is a well oiled machine and rolled with all the punches we threw at them. At the wedding, we had the most amazing staff. The bartender learned our drink orders at cocktail hour and always made sure we had what we needed. The dinner was amazing! I was slightly worried it was going to be the typical dry wedding food, but it was the complete opposite. I don’t think I’ve had better mahi-mahi. We held an after wedding breakfast and Christian, the lead server? Manager? (I’m not sure his title) was amazing too! So kind and helpful. They even refrigerated some of our florals from the wedding to use on the tables at the breakfast and the bbq later in the evening. I seriously think the whole hotel knew it was our wedding because staff not involved keep congratulating us and making sure everything was perfect for us our entire stay. The Shores, and Donna were so helpful during the planning process and provided a list of venders they recommended. I found a few people not on their list I preferred and it was not problem! I loved that! I know that Donna is updating her vender list and including some of my amazing venders!

Donna was amazing! She made everything perfect. We recently had our wedding there on 4/3/2021 and everything was perfect for us. Originally we had the ceremony outside but due to high winds we had to move it inside but Donna suggested we do it on the Oceanview side. Doing the wedding upstairs with the ocean in the background was awesome and amazing. I would definelty recommend this hotel for your venue for ceremony and reception!

My wedding was everything we wanted and more. The wedding coordinator, Donna, was absolutely amazing. My sisters and I loved her. She’s full of wonderful ideas and tons of resources. We had a small event due to Covid but We are looking forward to planning our reception/anniversary party with her soon. Also, the rooms and the resort itself are gorgeous. You can’t lose with this venue.

We had a perfect wedding! Donna was amazing the entire step of the way and made sure everything was perfect! We also hired Jillian as the day of coordinator and would not have been able to do this without her! The ballroom was gorgeous, the ceremony was amazing. I have nothing negative to say about this entire experience!

Donna, was truly awesome! She took care of every detail for our wedding. It was great. I had the time of my life! Everytime I have an event, it will be at The Shores and definitely taken care of by Donna!!!

The Shores was a lovely venue. The reception looked great and although it was raining, we went with our inside backup plan and it was just as good. We took some nice pictures inside although we wanted beach photos. Donna was very helpful throughout the whole process.

We held my daughter's reception at The Shores Resort and Spa and it was the best choice! The staff was excellent and Donna (our coordinator) was available and engaged any and every time we needed her throughout the entire process. Our rooms were just as we hoped and the entire resort was beautiful.

The Shores Resort and Spa was truly a wedding dream come true. My husband, guests and myself can't get over how amazing our wedding truly was and that was due to The Shores and Donna Crane! During a pandemic you can imagine things were extremely hard, but Donna/The Shores made our experience as less stressful and easy as they could, and we couldn't be anymore thankful! The Shores is such a beautiful place, with such amazing staff and we will NEVER forget it! It will always be close to my heart. I highly recommend ANY event here, but especially a wedding! My husband & I got married in March 2020 in the middle of very difficult times. I was extremely nervous about everything but Donna Crane worked intimately with us to make sure that our day went as smoothly and stress free as possible. Due to the Corona Virus mandates, we changed the menu, style of wedding and made several other last minute requests but Donna was always extremely patient, professional & accommodating! Although the hotel was not operating at full capacity, Donna went out of her way to personally make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. I cannot thank her enough for the vendor suggestions, recommendations and favors she did for us. Thank you so much for making our very special day memorable!

We had our son's Rehearsal Dinner and a Welcome Celebration at The Shores Resort and Spa and they could have not been more enjoyable events from start to finish. We worked with Donna Crane and she made everything stress free! Her experience and expertise were evident in every step of the planning and execution. We really wanted to have the Welcome Celebration on the Terrace but Donna called me the day before to tell me that the wind was expected to be extremely gusty and she suggested that we move the celebration upstairs across from the Rehearsal Dinner for the guests' comfort. It was the absolutely right call!! Thank you Donna and The Shores for beautiful, delicious and memorable events! Look forward to having another celebration there!

The Shores Resort and Spa was a fabulous venue for our wedding! All of our out of town guests stayed there so it served as our weekend base. Donna Crane was amazing and did a fantastic job of making sure everything went off without a hitch. The food was great and the Atlantic Room overlooking the ocean was set up beautifully. We picked the perfect place for our wedding and reception.

PERFECT is the word I use to describe The Shores Resort and Spa for a Wedding Venue! Donna Crane is absolutely amazing! She's attentive and makes herself available to address any concerns and answers any and all questions you may have. On that special day, you are Donna's Bride and she makes certain that your day is exactly how you envisioned it. She thinks of everything, including the smallest of details. The Shores Resort and Spa offers many options, the beach, the terrace or you can choose one of the ballrooms for your ceremony. If the weather isn't suitable, no worries, there will be the ballroom of your choice that will be reserved for you. The chefs are excellent and the food is delicious as well as pleasing to the eyes. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. I highly recommend The Shores Respot and Spa, you'll be glad you did!

I was the officiant, and this was the most well organized, efficient wedding I have ever attended--by far. Everything for the wedding party was obviously thought out and designed to ensure the group had a little stress as possible. In addition to the wonderful experience led and aided by the wedding planner, Donna, and her lovely staff, the venue itself is gorgeous and the food was delicious. Together, it all made for a wonderful and memorable experience.

Donna Crane was an impeccable wedding planner! Everything was perfect. Recommendations for DJ, Photography, Wedding cake were all superb. The venue at the Shores Resort and Spa was beautiful with the ceremony on the riverside and the reception on the beachside both with gorgeous views. The wedding was a fun party, with Mr. DJ getting everyone dancing and helping to make it a great time. My family and guests still talk about the reception as one of the best! Donna’s experience and organizational talent/skill as well as her great personality pulled it all together perfectly. We couldn’t have done it without Donna and The Knot.

With all of the worries that surround a "beach wedding," we went to The Shores uncertain of wether or not we could create our dream wedding. After just a few short minuets with Donna and her team, we knew everything would be wonderful, and it was! The Ocean Terrace was a perfect venue for our ceremony-ocean breezes and beautiful views. We loved every second of our experience with The Shores Resort. When changes had to be made, they worked with us and made sure we were happy and relaxed. Friend after friend has told us how much they enjoyed the experience, and our families were relaxed and happy. It was the BEST DAY and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking your wedding at the Shores and working with the lovely, Donna Crane!

I recently had my wedding at The Shores Resort & Spa in August. I currently live in Illinois so I had to do A LOT of planning through email and phone. Donna Crane was the absolute most helpful and friendliest person to work with while planning my wedding. She was always prompt in getting back to me as well as showing me my best options. When it came to wedding rehearsal and wedding day , Donna went above and beyond to make sure everything went flawlessly! My wedding far exceeded mine and my husbands expectations!

At the last minute I had to move my wedding from my home to a different venue because I had too many guests to accommodate at the house. The Shores did an amazing job, helping me pull off the perfect wedding with very little planning time! Donna was great, answering my many questions promptly. The flowers, the cake and the DJ were all directed to the right room-I didn't have to worry about anything. The room was perfect--wall-to-wall windows with beautiful ocean views. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly nice, getting my nephews some extra crackers when they got hungry before dinner, treating us all like royalty! We were able to have the ceremony itself on the public beach in front of the hotel, which meant we only needed to pay for the room where we had the reception. Overall, the pricing was incredibly reasonable, especially for such a beautiful ocean-side venue. A friend who hates weddings and said he was dreading mine ended up saying he had the time of his life. Highly recommend1

Danna Crane at The Shores Resort & Spa is AWESOME! We consulted with Donna 1 month before our wedding and she made our day spectacular.... Donna coordinated our wedding in under 30 days and made us feel like we were the biggest clients she worked with and we only has 15 people at our wedding. Thank you, Donna!

You cannot beat the view of this place!! Both ceremony location and the reception location of this venue is breathtaking. But better than the view was the event coordinator, Donna. With hosting a wedding of 165 people, she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. She was there with me throughout the rehearsal and from morning until night the day of the wedding. She was extremely accommodating and made sure my day was stress free. Next event I plan, I would definitely want Donna to coordinate!!

What a wonderful place to get married! We are so glad we chose The Shores for our wedding. Since 75% of our guests were from out of town, we wanted a place that was able to host all of our events and provide a variety of experiences. You can't beat the views! And the food was incredible! All of my catering whims were fulfilled - from getting local craft beers for the welcome reception to non-mayo finger sandwiches for the bridal party on day of. One of the most difficult things was choosing the appetizers - they were all so good. Donna and her team are rockstars. She's very responsive, helped us out when we weren't sure which direction to go but was never pushy. The whole weekend was managed perfectly - no drama, no hiccups, just a really great time had by all. Several of our guests said we needed to have a vow renewal next year so they could all come back, they had that much fun!

The Shores was the perfect spot for our wedding. Carley Was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for my now husband and I. We had a more intimate wedding and she worked with us to keep our costs down, suggested amazing vendors for our cake and flowers and stayed during our entire ceremony to make sure everything was okay. There just aren’t enough words to say how perfect the day went. Couple all that with the most beautiful hotel and amazing scenery and I honestly don’t know what more you could ask for.

The staff at The Shores were so attentive and made my big day come together seamlessly. All of my wishes were met and they helped make the wedding of my dreams come true!

She took the time to tell us what was going to happen from the beginning to end. Any fear we had she put it to rest. She made sure that our need was made possible . Honest to God, best possible venue, location, gorgeous bridal suite, dinner overlooking the ocean and river. Carley and her colkeagues, the waitstaff, hotel staff, amazing food, value for the money incomparable. Can't say enough about our wedding. I would do it at The Shores again in s heartbeat...all guests both overnite and at the venue were so happy and so are we. Thank you, five stars.

Where do I start?! We chose the River Room for our Celebration Reception at The Shores Resort and Spa. This room has the best view by far of any other venue we've seen. Every single employee from the Valet staff to the wait staff to the receptionist were extremely professional, courteous and accommodating. Every single request was taken care of. Carley Rodriguez is AWESOME to work with! She takes your vision and makes it a reality, paying attention to all of the details you wouldn't even think about and taking great personal pride in what she does. We picked our menu for our guests of 120 for the evening after an afternoon of tasting everything. All of it was fantastic and we still are getting compliments about how good everything was! Our guests had a fabulous evening and it would not have happened as such without Carley Rodriguez and her team at The Shores Resort & Spa!!! If and or when we ever decide to have another party we wouldn't even consider a different venue. Thank you to The Shores Resort & Spa for a magical evening!!!

Carley and her team were fantastic to work with. My wife and I held our wedding here in August and could not have asked for a better experience. The Shores team was always available and willing to assist with any/all questions we had. They made us feel that our special occasion was truly a priority to them. We are very grateful to have had such a professional group of people assist us with the wedding-planning process. I highly recommend the Shores to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue and outstanding team that will ensure your special day is unforgettable.

We had a fabulous wedding at The Shores. The actual event went very smoothly and the staff were very attentive and professional. We could not have asked for better. The food was outstanding! The bar was FULL :) Our only reservations were that we were not able to have a balcony room and were placed on the side of the building without a balcony, and was unable to check in before 1pm. The top of our cake and "goodies" were delivered so someone elses room, and the tiki bar that was suppose to stay open late closed earlier than anticipated. Overall, we and our guests had a great time and the wedding venue was beautiful. Our only suggestions would be to maybe have some finger foods or something along with some water available for the bride and grooms room because we were so busy we really didn't get to eat anything. The coupons for breakfast was amazing though! Thank you again for a great wedding. We would strongly recommend this venue to others.

Carley and her staff were amazing. They made sure everything was perfect. We were in the Atlantic room and it was just gorgeous. The space for us to get ready was more than adequate. The food was amazing. The mini grilled cheese is highly recommended. Carley and her staff made the run smooth and everything was just perfect.

We just had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Shores Resort & Spa last weekend. It could not have been more amazing! The staff was helpful, kind, and knowledgable. Carley Rodriguez went above and beyond to help us create the perfect day. She answered all of our questions and gave us many suggestions to make the planning process easier. She gave us vendor information and always replied quickly. We live out of state and we were concerned the planning process would be difficult but thanks to Carley, it was simple and enjoyable! We loved everything about the venue including the back up space if it rained. The food was delicious! Our friends and family enjoyed the atmosphere and the convenience of having everything at the same great location. We could not be more pleased with our choice and we highly recommend it to all! :)
