The Show Room

Located in Christopher, IL, The Show Room is a rustic double-room venue perfect for weddings and other special events. Built in 1890, it is the oldest building in Christopher. It was the home of three different businesses until it eventually became the outstanding event space it is today. The name "The Show Room" originated from one of the previous businesses in the building, a fashion retailer called "The Old Show Room." Using a similar name, it is a tribute to a "fashionably historic wedding venue." Since they got the building, the team has kept the original layout and only refinished minor necessary details so its character and charm can stay the same. The Show Room features tall appliquéd ceilings and large windows. The event room has stained glass that perfectly captures the sunset rays, creating a warming atmosphere for any occasion. The first event space is The Show Room, which can seat up to 225 people. It is laced with refinished hardwood flooring and exposed brick. It has a dancing area, bar space, and a DJ area. Beside it is The Show Bar, which can hold up to 60 people, perfect for more intimate weddings or wedding showers. It features vintage copper ceilings, high-top tables, a bar area, and a kitchenette. The Show Room has excellent amenities such as storage for decorations, parking for guests, parking for a beer trailer, and a selfie station. There is a room above the event space for the DJ so that the wedding can take up the entire room. They have different packages allowing couples to choose what suits them best. The Big Show includes access to both event spaces from Thursday to Sunday, a rehearsal dinner space, and all amenities. The We-Do Day is for those wanting to only use the space for the wedding day itself. The Little Party is perfect for wedding showers as it allows access to The Show Bar for at least 4 hours.
