My husband and I had our wedding at The Sinclair last month. We loved everything about this venue! We originally were looking for a venue that allowed outside vendors and we found this place! The first time we toured The Sinclair we fell in love with the beautiful brick! The cellar area and the separate dance floor were also a huge plus for us! All of the ladies that helped us with booking, tours and coordinating were all so helpful and amazing. I’d recommend this beautiful space to anyone! It doesn’t even have to just be for weddings, this would be a good space for any type of party or event!

Absolutely gorgeous and spacious venue located in downtown literally around the block from Park It On Market. Exposed brick, hardwood floors, two stories, a bridal suite. The Sinclair on G is the perfect blank canvas for your event.
I held my 40th birthday party here this past weekend, but I truly fell in love with this space the minute I stepped inside.
Megan always responded to my emails in such a timely manner, and Alana, their in-house coordinator answered my bajillion questions during my first walkthrough.
You are allowed to bring in your own vendors without having to pay some exorbitant fee like other places. 12-hour access and NO noise curfew because it's downtown. However, it's not right next to any bars so you don't have to worry about club-goers crashing your party.
Any questions?

I just got married on May 17, 2024, at the Sinclair on G street and it was perfect. The venue manager was professional, and quick to respond to any questions. She shared resources for vendors and was easy to work with. I couldn't ask for a more perfect experience.

We had our 50 th wedding anniversary party at the Sinclair on G . It was the perfect choice . We were so happy with the space . It was beautiful with sunlight through the sunroof during the daylight hours of the party and soft white lights and chandeliers glimmering against the warm brick walls at night . Megan the manager helped us with every step and answered every question . It all went off perfectly ! We highly recommend the Sinclair on G for its beautiful space and professional management !

As a wedding planner, I've worked with a lot of wedding venues before, but The Sinclair on G Street truly stands out. Megan and her team are professional, responsive, and so supportive through the planning process. On the day of the event, Alexis was there to answer all our questions and was so kind to work with. It's very refreshing to work with a venue team that cares about our clients first.

We had our full wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, & reception) at The Sinclair. While we mostly loved our experience, there were a few issues we had (see below). The things we loved: The exposed brick, chandeliers, and industrial style is gorgeous, I immediately fell in love. It was really nice to have 12 hours access to the venue, many others don’t offer this. The venue was clean, bathrooms were nice, the use of upstairs and downstairs made the flip flawless, it includes a bridal suite, and the additional expense lighting was worth it. This was the most affordable bear-bones venue we found, and all in all quite beautiful.
Things to consider before booking:
-This is an entirely BYO Vendor venue, which is what we needed since we had a Jewish wedding and had to hire outside kosher catering. It was very convenient and $ saving for us but made for a LOT of extra planning (rental chairs, tables, plates, napkins, cups, decorations, staff, etc), and clean up at the end of the night absolutely sucked.
-NO parking included. Parking was tough. We managed to email the Park it on Market garage to reserve a handful of spots close by, but there is no parking given. We also got lucky parking on the street outside but it was constantly full and we waited a while for cars to move to swoop up the spots. Sundays and holidays have no active parking meters so we lucked out there.
-NO kitchen and NO cooking on site (fortunately I rented an Airbnb that my caterer BBQd at).
-NO candles or open flames (we used LED candles).
-NO ice (we had to order our own for an extra $300).
-NO garbage bins to throw trash away (we had to hire junk haul co for $300, otherwise you have to find a bin yourself or get fined).
-NO Venue setup: most people flip setup between the ceremony to reception during cocktail hour, so make sure your coordinator, caterer, or someone will do that.
-The dance floor being off to the corner turned out to not be as ideal as I was hoping, but we made it work. Lots of photos/videos came out so-so due to angles/positioning.
-The cocktail hour downstairs was way too crowded and hot for 130 guests, even though we only had 2 small belly bars and no chairs. This resulted in many of our guests standing outside while we were trying to take family photos outside.
-Since our coordinator (on their recommend list) also works as an venue manager for them sometimes, they had her doing double duty which seemed like a lot. It would have been nice to have our coordinator + a venue manager, especially when we had 2 intoxicated wedding crashers wander onto our dance floor.
I had read glowing reviews of Megan the owner but sadly did not have a super positive experience with her. She did grant us a booking discount upon asking, but there were a few later issues such as their sudden name change that created problems with invitations and she was very cold about the matter. Perhaps because of the reviews I’d read I had higher expectations, but we were disappointed. Outside of this, we basically had minimal contact with her, and there were no personal connections made.
All in all, I think we did save some money going with this beautiful bare bones venue and it was what we mostly needed, but it does have pros and cons to consider.

We had an amazing experience from beginning to end of our wedding journey. Megan and Alexis were making with communication from getting our tour booked, picking our date, and getting everything ready for the big day. I loved a lot about this venue. It just has a simple natural beauty to it with the brick, lighting, and high-ceilings. It made it easy for me to do simple decorations because the venue really shined by itself. I loved that we were able to flow throughout the night to the cocktail hour downstairs, and that we had our dance floor separate from the reception tables. We had 100 guests attend and it was the perfect size for everyone. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding; I even have been recommending the space to people for any event! Thank you so much to the Sinclair team on making our day perfection.

The Pannikin is a beautiful space in downtown San Diego. When my wife and I walked into the Pannikin for our tour, we completely fell in love with all the exposed brick and gorgeous getting ready rooms! Much like ourselves, our guests enjoyed the venue and it’s location downtown.

Let me start by saying COVID.. Trying to plan and get married in the middle of this is HARD and I wouldn't have wanted to walk through that with any other venue other then the Pannikin. Megan (the Owner) has kept me in the loop, communicated, and has been so flexible! All I could have asked for. I could not recommend her and the Pannikin enough!

We took a chance on this place for our wedding ceremony + reception, as it had just been recently renovated and there weren't many reviews yet. I'm so glad we did! Here's why:
1. The building is truly beautiful. Its gorgeous wood floors, exposed brick, high beam ceilings and interesting original details (like the arc cutouts in the walls) make for a stunning canvas on which to plan your event. It's great because it works for all kinds of budgets and styles--it can be totally transformed to fit a unique aesthetic (like we did for our "neon tropical" wedding), but it can also have very minimal decor (aka smaller budget!!) and still be a really classy and impressive backdrop for your event.
2. The owner is so nice, accommodating, flexible and reasonable. I also love that she's a young woman owner!!
3. The location is PERFECT. It's within walking distance of so many hotels and the whole Gaslamp scene, but it somehow feels separated from the bad parts of downtown. It's like this cool urban oasis - smack in the middle of everything yet it's own little world.
Here's my biggest tip when touring this place and trying to envision it for your wedding or event: be flexible in how you see the space! They label a lot of areas within the building, but I hardly used any for what they were intended for, and the layout worked soooo perfectly for me and my event.
For instance, they have this super cool downstairs area that you could use as an awesome bar area, lounge, etc. - but I chose not to allow guests down there at all because for our 125 person wedding, it would have felt too sparse for the guests to spread out over the two floors. Instead, we used it as a setup area for the caterers (this is good to keep in mind! The kitchen is very small, but if you can allot more of the downstairs for kitchen prep etc, it works out fabulously for any hesitant caterers).
There is also a room down there they were referring to as the grooms suite, but I used it as the bridal suite and again, PERFECTION. Megan (owner) has it very nicely outfitted with couches, cute decor and a great full length mirror to get ready. You can then enter the upstairs from one of two ways. It was so key for me throughout the wedding.
Also, there is a kind of sunken area in the back they think of as the dance floor, but we opted to put our own dance floor in the main area and use that sunken place for a photo booth and a quieter lounge area - again, to keep guests mainly staying in one place. And that setup was amazing for us and our purposes.
We had multiple guests comment on the building and how beautiful it was, both when it was fully decked out on the day of the wedding AND when we were doing our rehearsal in the completely empty space.
I am a picky person (ok, I'm a total perfectionist slash control freak) , and I can say that this was the perfect venue for our wedding. If I had it to do all over again, I would choose this place in a heartbeat.

The Pannikin Building is PERFECT!!! I am so glad that I took a chance on this new venue. It has exceeded all of my expectations and made my wedding incredible. The vaulted ceiling and original brick is just beautiful. The venue stands out all by itself so creating a glamorous event within its walls is simple. The planning has been so easy with the help of Megan who is so thorough and quick to help. She has truly gone above and beyond in every way to help us. We have gone with almost every single one of her vendor recommendations as she really knows the industry. I honestly can't rave about this venue and those who manage it enough. If you are considering it, DO IT:)

We held our day-after party at The Pannikin Building and it was absolutely perfect! Megan and the rest of the team literally saved the day and went above and beyond to help us find a new venue when it unexpectedly rained and our original venue was outside. They were so easy to work with, it made the party even better than I could have imagined. The space is absolutely stunning and was perfect for our event. The room had a great flow and the brick walls made for a beautiful backdrop. I cannot recommend them enough!

This venue is PERFECT for the couple wanting a neutral, modern yet industrial with a hint of character feel and look. The exposed brick walls, original hardwood floors and beautiful natural light is everything!!! Plus it's downtown in historic San Diego. You can't find spaces like this there. Megan is so sweet and helpful and one of the best venue owners/managers we've worked with. She's genuine and you can tell she loves doing this. This is also a great spot for corporate events, workshops, rehearsal dinners, parties and any other type of event. Seriously go tour this space because it's even prettier in person! Can't wait to work with Megan and her team more!

If you're looking for a venue in downtown San Diego to host your next event look no further! Open floor plan, brick walls, industrial accents, bridal suite, and did I mention the Cellar?! The Cellar is the perfect spot for the groomsmen to kickback and enjoy a whiskey while the bridal party is getting ready. Think of this space as a blank canvas to make all your dreams come to life. Let your imagination run free. Added bonus, Megan, the venue owner is INCREDIBLE and such a joy to work with. We have had the pleasure of designing and coordinating events in this space with Megan and are excited for more!

Got to tour this space today...formerly McKenzie Rae Dresses, it's now under new management and they are wonderful! I toured for a potential wedding venue and I couldn't believe how beautiful and unique the space is. You really could make it whatever you want it to be. Plus, you can't beat the location- it's literally right in the Gaslamp. So excited for this space!!
