The Sixpence Wedding + Event Space is a premier venue servicing the Greater Indianapolis area and beyond. Spanning 17 acres of rolling property, The Sixpence features 3 multi-functional spaces, all highlighting the coexistence of aesthetic beauty and practical functionality.
The Barn at Sixpence is an 8,000 sq. ft. ceremony/reception hall. It includes a caterer's prep kitchen, huge bar, large private getting-ready suites for our couples, 2 4-stall bathrooms, and full HVAC with heated floors. The Sixpence features a 300 guest capacity. Our indoor ceremony space option and all 3 outdoor ceremony space options are both beautiful and functional - whether you envision getting married in our ballroom-like interior barn, lush lawn, outdoor patio ceremony space, or the Grotto wooded ceremony space.

Shelby Henry, Co-Founder and Lead Designer of The Sixpence Wedding + Event Space, has an extensive background in wedding photography and videography which informed her vision for this project: she believes that couples should not have to sacrifice either beauty or functionality for their special day. We also believe that every wedding is different, and want to offer a beautiful blank canvas for you to make uniquely yours.
The Homestead at Sixpence is a renovated 1851 saltbox farmhouse available for overnight or full weekend rentals. This charming home sleeps up to 10, includes getting ready spaces, a full kitchen, and a beautiful extended deck under oak trees and string lights. Pantry stocking services also available.
The Workshop at Sixpence is a renovated garage hangout space complete with pool table, darts, car lift, bar, TVs, and getting ready spaces. It's available as an add-on for single day rentals, and included in full weekend rentals.

suite, fun LED bar, rolling green landscape and classic rustic barn doors - all created the best environment for our wedding reception. We ended up having rain on our wedding day, and this was the perfect venue to adjust and be flexible! We closed the doors when it was raining and opened them up for people to use the patio space once it passed (and we all got hot from dancing!). We have received so many compliments on how incredible the bartenders were! They were fun, responsive and created any drink that was asked of them, consistently going above and beyond. The Sixpence staff provided wonderful support and assistance in the process leading up to the wedding and throughout the day. The online seating chart allowed us to move tables around and configure it to our preferences. They were responsive to our questions and worked with us for any thoughts/ideas to ensure they could happen seemlessly. Thank you for hosting our beautiful wedding day!

Their communication is efficient, transparent and professional. They have helpful staff and the bar package is flexible and transparent as well, eliminating guessing and stress. ention that the ground was too wet and we should move to the patio, I was hesitant at first, but I am so glad we ended up moving it there. Our reception was amazing and the bar package was well worth it for our party size. I couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. We also had added on the homestead for the night before the wedding and the workshop for the guys for the wedding day, I would say these 2 add ons a MUST. The house was so cute and the beds were amazingly comfortable. It was the best way to relax the night before with my girls and it was nice being able to wake up and be there already and didn’t have to stress about driving that morning. I can’t say enough good things about this venue.

were able to tour the venue multiple times prior to booking and after to share it with all of our family. The meetings with the venue leading up to the day were so valuable for the day of coordinator to get a sense of the space and know what to expect from the venue. On the weekend of the wedding, the bridal party stayed at The Homestead the night before which was the perfect way to start our weekend and allowed for us to get started on hair and makeup prior to getting access to the barn. The bridal suite in the barn is the perfect place to get ready and enjoy your morning. The stylists also LOVE all the space and natural light which makes getting ready a breeze. The boys spent the day in the workshop which they all loved, they built a fire, played pool, and had a darts tournament. The inside of the venue allowed for a stunning backdrop for most of our photos since it was so cold! Once the party got started the guest raved about the bar! Both bartenders were so talented and the drinks were delicious. We had an excellent experience from start to finish with The Sixpence and would recommend them to any bride!
The team was also so supportive of our off site ceremony which was important to both of us since we are Catholic, many other venues were not understanding. They have beautiful space to have your ceremony onsite if that’s your preference!

wedding day, our experience has been excellent. All the staff members we encountered during the past several months and the wedding day, have been great. The grounds are pristine. We also utilized the Homestead(a house on the property for a sleepover the night before the wedding plus can serve as a spot for hair/makeup/breakfast/lunch on the wedding day) and the Workshop(a space for the men to hangout..play pool, eat, listen to music) which is a bonus feature and unique. They were so welcoming and absolutely blew us away. They made the planning process seamless and truly listened to the visions we had for our big day, including allowing us to bring in our own custom beer, 10 person band, and a local mixologist to create two custom craft cocktails - it was truly a dream come true. Having a thoughtfully designed space added to the ease and comfort of our entire day, of the experience of our guests, and of our many vendors entering into and working within this space.
Beyond the outward beauty and intentionally of this building, is the even deeper feeling of support and professionalism from all Sixpence staff. From our booked tour all the way to the months after our wedding, the team members at The Sixpence have each worked with the upmost professionalism to not only serve our needs, but to truly make us feel like their most treasured guests.

My husband and I walked out of there and knew immediately it was the place where we would get married. Everything leading up to the wedding day was so great. Their team is passionate, organized, punctual, professional, and just overall so so wonderful. The planning meetings that were held prior to the big day were so incredibly helpful and also so much fun. My husband and I went to every single open house just because we wanted to "see and be at our venue". We were so obsessed and truly always will be. The day of my wedding I got to see my vision come to life at the most extraordinary venue. I remember pulling up at 7:00am to start my day and it was just so quiet, serene and peaceful. We got married outside, did cocktail hour outside and then held our reception inside. We got lucky with a very beautiful day but even if it rained, we did not have to "sacrifice" our vision in any way because the inside is JUST as beautiful and a true MOMENT. Something I really loved about the Sixpence is the ability to truly make it your own, they have different areas where you can get married, they allow you to bring in your own vendors (of course they have a preferred list) and they really just allow you to tailor the day in the way that suits you best. We’ve also gotten TONS of compliments from the groomsmen on the men’s barn area! So fun and a step ahead of every other venue in the area. I was also pleasantly surprised by the bar staff and their mixologist that helped us choose our signature drinks. They even ordered a special liquor from Italy that I wanted! They really do everything they can to make your day magical! The Sixpence is a classic, timeliness venue that is constantly adding new elements to stay ahead of the trends, and I cannot recommend them enough!!! TOTALLY worth the investment!!

The Sixpence not only was our Wedding Venue, it was our dream come true from the very moment we walked in the door. It was so easy to envision ourselves getting married in such a stunning place - every detail mattered, down to the lights, the colors and the overall aesthetic.
The team is full of warm, professional and knowledgable people who are so quick to go above and beyond all your wishes. We were amazed at how important and special we felt - as if we were the only couple getting married here and our story, details, and vision were all that mattered.
From the start of our wedding day, someone was constantly available to assist and help execute any tasks. Kristin and Shelby both stepped in to help our processional, guide guests to their seats, and even assisted in bussing our tables, and pouring water when our caterer was lacking in that aspect. This team does not hesitate - they do what needs to be done without a complaint or worry in the world. This is what you want for your day - and I assure you, this is what you will get.

ing, to the day of, The Sixpence team was nothing short of amazing. Brooks gave us our original tour, sold us on the venue, and walked us through our next steps! We met with Kristin for our two meetings leading up to the wedding and she made the process go smoothly - assuring us that it would all work out. In the background, Kristin even worked with my mom to incorporate some surprises for us on the day of! Tamme and Grace, on the day of our wedding, were life-savers. They handled everything with such ease and made sure we were able to enjoy our special day. The Sixpence is truly one of a kind and goes above and beyond for their couples to make it the day they have been dreaming of. I cannot say enough good things about the team they have created at The Sixpence.

y after) was The Sixpence. The space was purposefully built with a photographer’s lens in mind, which makes it that much more unique. We booked our venue when they were still building, but it was the best decision. Shelby and her team are passionate about helping make your day the best it can be & are there to answer any questions you have. The amount of people the space can accommodate with the beautiful open space & large parking lot was a huge bonus for us. From getting ready in the airy bridal suite to partying on the dance floor later that night, the Sixpence team made every transition so smooth. I can’t speak highly enough about this place, the people, and the experience you could have there too. The Sixpence, their team, and Shelby (& her photography/videography business Amavi - who we also used & loved) will always have a special place in my heart!

They also have lots of options for upgrades with opportunity to also keep the day simple if that’s part of your vision.

without the decorations, this place is absolutely stunning. There are several stunning options for where to have the ceremony around the venue and multiple areas for our guests to relax and enjoy themselves at cocktail hour (swing, outdoor couches, indoor tables, upstairs loft area, etc). There was so much beautiful scenery that we never even left the venue for our wedding photos!
Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to get married to my husband. Thank you Shelby for making our day a literal dream. I am stunned by your creative, aesthetic mind and how you show the Sixpence to the world! hat's exactly what her and her team did. From helping with decor and layout designs to just keeping me calm the week of/day of, I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The Sixpence Team truly is composed of truly amazing people - people who genuinely want the absolute world for their brides and grooms and would do anything for them. That's really special and extremely unique. The day of our wedding, Shelby was there for us every step of the way, making sure my husband and I were taken care of and everything was exactly what we wanted. We rented the Workshop and that was AMAZING. My husband and his guys were out there and we never had to worry about running into each other and they were able to have their own space to have fun. The Sixpence also offers a photobooth that you can rent and that was BEYOND worth it! The amenities that The Sixpence offers in their packages are already unmatchable THEN they offer additional add ons which add the cherry on top! And make it easier on us planning wise because it's all in one place!
We truly can't say enough great things about the venue and the people. We are beyond grateful that we were able to have our dream wedding at The Sixpence. We are also grateful that we now can consider Shelby and her husband, our friends. That's truly special.

ed and celebrated. On the wedding day, we had planned to have our ceremony outside but due to rain, had to last minute switch inside. I never questioned it for a second because the inside is just as beautiful as the outside!! There are so many venues where that would have been such a stressful part of my wedding but with the wonderful options The Sixpence has, it wasn’t a problem at all! The sixpence is so beautiful, a clean slate to design it however you can dream, and the staff is there to help make sure that dream comes to life. From the bridal suite, to the light up bar, to the big windows for optimal lighting- it’s truly a perfect venue!! I cannot recommend it enough!
