I loved going to The Special Event Boutique! Everyone was very helpful and I found my dress in one appointment. I decided to try this boutique on a whim and they fit me in the same...
day. We did go somewhere else for alternations and suits.
Thank you for helping me find the dress of my dreams. Our consultant was amazing, and I was able to find the perfect dress well within my budget. Had a blast and there are so many ...
options for the bridal party, too. Thank you!
I tried a couple other shops before visiting The Special Event, but this boutique was special. Denise provided exceptional customer service and was patient and so attentive to my n...
eeds and tastes. She helped me find the perfect dress, and when I got married recently, I received so many compliments on the one-of-a-kind dress. I'm so glad I shopped at The Special Event, and would recommend them to any bride!
I can’t say I am very impressed with Special Event Boutique. I did buy my dress through them, and had an awesome experience! However, after buying my dress, the customer service se...
emed to get worse. I went through Special Event for men’s wear, because I was told my groom would be free. However, when we picked up his attire, they said he was no longer free because we didn’t do a full tux. (1 employee even stated she has worked there for a year and just found out 3 weeks ago that the grooms would not be free if they don’t do a full tux, so how many others have had this problem?) So there goes $162 that was not in the budget. They also charged the BM twice for his attire, luckily they quickly refunded us when we were at the store the 2nd time. We were also told everyone’s attire would be in Tuesday before the wedding. My MOH brought the RB (5 y.o.) to get his stuff (2 hours round trip) on Wednesday, and his was still not there. They said they would ship it to my parents house, and they would send everyone else’s stuff with my MOH. She asked to check the bags to make sure everything was there, and said she was rushed out of the store. She got home and realized they didn’t send an ushers attire. So my mom and I made a trip up there Thursday to retrieve his stuff. When we were about 20 minutes from home (on our way back), we got a call that the RB stuff got shipped to the store by accident. (They accidentally shipped someone else’s suit to my parents, so we had an extra bag to worry about getting back). So my mom and I turned around and went back to get it. We spent 4-5 hours in the car, 2 days before the wedding. My mom left some concerns for the owner and asked her to call her when she was in. A week later, I got an email stating that she was following up on the concerns, avoiding calling my mom and talking to her about it. My mom called and the owner gave her excuses for every concern/problem we had. The owner said she had sent me an email stating my husbands stuff was no longer free. My mom asked her to forward that email to me, and a week later, I or my mom have still heard nothing. I do not recommend going to Special Event Boutique for anything with men’s wear. The owner has not been willing to work with my mom and I.
My wife and I had or our wedding back in October so this may be a little late but I felt that the team at SEB deserves this 5 star review. Not only were they cordial, accommodating...
, and patient with my crew of weirdo friends, but they had me, my wife, and the rest of the wedding party looking like models in a magazine. The tuxes all fit excellent, the bridesmaids dressed looked and fit wonderfully, and my wife's wedding gown turned an 11 into a 15. ;) Definitely recommend the team here.
Customer service needs improvement.
I can't imagine my wedding planning process without Jodi and her team at The Special Event Boutique. We outfitted our entire wedding party through SEB but I absolutely recommend th...
em to anybody looking for any type of dress for any special event. I trusted Jodi and her team completely and I couldn't be more happy with the result. To Jodi and her team, I just want to say THANK YOU for loving you job because it is definitely reflected in your extraordinary service.
Had my date wrong. Kind of rude to my child. My dress was great buy dont do whole wedding. Alot of misunderstandings. I wish i would have gone somewhere else.
i was pretty much a bridezilla when it came to my dress and the ladies were very patient with me and made sure i was happy with the end results.
I loved working with the ladies here!
Awesome service, great value and spectacular fittings.
The consultants at this shop are exceptional. Michaelina listened to what I told her about my venue, groom, ceremony, and with my personality in mind, she custom designed a dress ...
by remaking a stock gown into the absolute gown of my dreams. The seamstress was spot on, the fit was perfect, and the overall experience was great. They seemed genuinely concerned about my situation and worked to make sure I felt every bit the "bride" I wanted to be. I recommend them highly.
I started shopping for my dress first (bridal gown)and absolutely LOVED the dress I decided on(which I found and picked out myself). I am grateful that I found the dress of my drea...
ms here. However, the customer service was horrible. The workers and manager told me that they price match, so when I found my dress elsewhere for $400 cheaper, I sent them all the necessary info they requested and they said they would get back to me. I never heard back. I called again, to get an answer that they in fact, could NOT price match because the designer sets the prices, not them. I found it odd that a designer would have a different price at two different stores. We were told by the manager she would call the designer herself and call us back the next day. Once again, NEVER heard back. During my fittings, I went ignored for long periods before being helped. When we asked to speak with manager, she said she was "too busy" and "I didn't plan on coming in today, so I look terrible", and wouldn't speak with us. I was happy with my decision to get the tuxes and bridesmaids dresses elsewhere!!!!
The dress was absolutely amazing and I loved it so much. After I bought the dress the quality of service dropped significantly. The dress was ready and I never received a call to...
let me know to come in for an alteration appointment. I asked for undergarments and they were never ordered, therefore, on my wedding day the only undergarment I could find was constantly showing above my dress and I have many pictures with my bra showing! The alterations that were done on my dress were poor in quality and the seamstress left string tags on the bodice and didn't put in an agreed upon strap to hold the dress in place. I to pick up my dress twice because of the mistakes with the alterations and because the dress wasn't pressed the first time. I just loved my dress, I just didn't love the place I bought it from.
We looked awesome on our wedding day! The ladies at the Special Event helped us pull together a great look for our wedding party which made for awesome pictures!!! Thanks ladies!
We used Special Event for everything in our wedding: my bridal gown (which I received SO MANY compliments on! I even had one cousin who just got married less than a year ago commen...
t that my dress was the prettiest she'd ever seen, including the one she wore at her own wedding!)we also got our bridesmaid dresses and our tuxes through the shop. Really, really great customer service. Only complaint I heard at all was most the guys complained their tuxes were a little big. But other than that everything was wonderful!
I the shop is awesome!
Although the price may be right at special event the customer service is not! When everything was going well they were great but the moment our wedding party had problems there was...
not help. We had fit problems with almost every garment including my wedding dress which was falling down all night due to poor alterations. We were quoted once price on our tuxes and when our groomsmen went to pick them up they had upped the price by $30 telling us that the shoes were a seperate charge. Two of the groomsman were given pants that were so tight that they ripped and we were then charged a $50 fee for each pair to have them replaced and one groomsman's pants were so large they fell down and we had to overnight a new pair, which they charged us $60 for. Besides 3 of my bridesmaid dresses ripping our junior bridesmaids, which we had paid extra money to have an altered bubble skirt on, had exposed tool on their waistline that left their skin raw. So I paid $250 a dress for our little girls and they couldn't wear them at the dance because of the rash it gave them. We told them about the problems and were basically told we were lying and were accused of "rough housing". When it came down to it there were so many mistakes and stresses the day of the wedding that I would NEVER recommend this boutique. Makes me sad to have this memory of my wedding day.
I did not end up getting my dress here because I won a certificate for a different bridal store but, if that wasn't the case I would have done all my business here! The service i...
s absolutely great and they do follow ups with you and their staff is supper friendly and not in the creepy way either! They have a good selection of bridal gowns and bridesmaids dresses. They act 100% professional and like what they are doing! I high recommend them!
The staff is great, and the shop is friendly. The only problem we had were with alterations, the day before the wedding the dress was unwearable due to a seamstress mistake. I woul...
dn't recommend the seamstress, but the shop itself was superb.
The Special Event has been amazing! From the first day I bought my wedding gown to the day before the wedding they were there for us. They were always open honest and willing to he...
lp me with anything I needed. I LOVED my bridesmaids dresses. They had so many to choose from and so convenient with ordering, even for my girls who all lived out of town. And the fittings done on their dresses truly made them fit like they were made for each girl. My dress was AMAZING! My whole look came together with the dress and all my accessories thanks to my consultant. Their seamstress knew what she was doing, my fittings went so smoothly and in the end I felt beautiful on my wedding day! The guys tuxes were so sharp! Loved that the consultants were there to make sure the guys left looking their best! I had the best experience at The Special Event. I loved that they are not just there to sell but to actually get to know me, my wedding party and everything about my event. It was great having a consultant that was with me every step of the way. I wouldn't go back and change anything, my day was perfect and we owe it to The Special Event Boutique for making that possible!! Highly recommend to anyone who wants service not just a discounted dress like other bridal shops.
The Dress that I picked was the first one that I tried on. they did not pressure me to buy it. they had me try different ones but I came back to the first one. They gave me a dis...
count since it was a wedding program price.
I thought they were great. They were very helpful and efficient. Absolutely no problems with my dress fitting and tuxedo rentals.
Special Event Boutique was a random stop on my search to find the perfect bridal gown. I was on vacation and randomlly visited this boutique. I walked in without an appointment a...
nd they squeezed me in. I described a vision I had of the perfect dress and with 20 minutes they had me in my dream dress and we were signing paperwork! Their staff quickly caught on to my vision and my personality. They showed me a dress I was quite sure about, but believe it or not it ended up being my dress! I fell in love with it. They are not pushy, but rather care about you and what you want! They made my bridal gown experience perfect.
We used SEB for the tux rentals and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, they initially didn't offer the best pricing until we told them what Jackie J's (their competitor)...
was offering us--then they matched, so don't pay the rate they first quote you! Everyone went in the day before the wedding to try on their tux to make sure there were no disasters, and SEB was able to do some last alterations to make sure everyone was looking great!
