The location is perfect - we had out of town guests stay in hotels one block away and a lot of people walked to The Banks bars after the reception! Another great aspect is they let you bring in your own catering/alcohol, which gives a lot of flexibility (and isn’t as hard as you’d think to coordinate). Highly recommend! The dance floor is huge, and you can have up to two bars including one big one! The location is perfect - we had out of town guests stay in hotels one block away and a lot of people walked to The Banks bars after the reception! Another great aspect is they let you bring in your own catering/alcohol, which gives a lot of flexibility (and isn’t as hard as you’d think to coordinate). Highly recommend!

Having attended many weddings in recent years in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area, you can’t find a better venue than this! worked with them. I don’t know if I would recommend this venue without a lot of asterisks including some of the stresses my experience included. September ‘22, when touring The Spot, I had a very nice experience. Iimpressed with all of the amenities offered that were not additional costs since this was an issue we were running into with many other venues. Shortly after we signed a contract for our June 2024 wedding date, I found out one of the add ons that we were told wouldn’t be an added cost (table linens) were in fact an up charge. No big deal, we had more than a year to arrange what we would use. We went on with normal (little to no) contact until about three weeks until our ceremony date when Sam reached out to my wedding planner to ask if we were going to pay the $250 charge to use the space the evening before our ceremony for a rehearsal space. We’d never heard of this charge. Not upon the first visit/tour, not upon any follow up communications, not in our signed contracts & not on the venue site. My planner told Sam to hold out on charging the card on file this amount until she spoke with myself & my fiancé. Later that evening I left Sam a voicemail requesting a call the next morning to discuss. Around noon the following day, I had not received a call back so I called Sam (who told me she didn’t receive a voicemail from me the night before) & voiced my concern with never hearing of this charge and was told that the staff member that gave my tour “had maybe given ten tours before and was hanging on by the seat of her pants”. I was told “sorry you didn’t hear of it but the charge has to be paid for use” when I mentioned this wasn’t in our contract & I would like to talk to Christy (the owner of the venue) she said “sometimes Christy charges up to $500 for the space to be used for rehearsals.” I thought this did not seem possible, to change the rate per couple, but I did not dispute this as I was nervous to have the amount increased for arguing. Sam then also informed me that the charge had already been made earlier that morning. Despite saying she didn’t receive my voicemail the evening before, that morning prior to my call, she’d charged the card on file without anyone’s permission. On the day of our ceremony, chairs were set up differently than our layout & while my bridal party set them up, a bridesmaid overheard staff discussing what she was doing & how it was “wrong” rather than assisting or offering help, which was discouraging to her. Sam was our wedding evening coordinator & she did not speak to myself (the bride) or my husband, the entire evening. I loved the look of this venue. Our day was beautiful & went off without a hitch, but I give so much credit to my planner & the work she put in. The venue itself is very unique & budget friendly. But, after reading other reviews and comparing my own to other experiences, I feel like I was treated differently than other brides which is disappointing. I’ve tried to look at this objectively & I’m not sure what caused the difference in my experience,l rave reviews given to specific staff members & experiences with them. I didn’t have a negative experience with any other vendors during my the entire time planning our wedding, so I may have been overly sensitive when things were tough here.

The space felt so open & warm, yet brought the downtown vibe we were looking for too. It's conveniently located to so many places downtown & our guests commented on how easy it was to find. I couldn't imagine hosting our wedding anywhere else!

o make sure our baby shower was amazing. They are not afraid of hard work and were even cleaning the windows on the day of our event! They were very kind and pleasant to work with. The Spot is adorable, with beautiful exposed brick walls and hardwood floors. We loved everything about the space. The ambience was cozy and warm, with bright airy windows to let the sunshine in. We appreciated all the amenities they had and the kitchen with the ice maker and load in area was definitely a plus! Parking was close and convenient. We will definitely use The Spot again for future events!

Sam and her staff were wonderful to work with!! They answered any questions or made suggestions to help you feel at ease about pulling off a wedding with so many moving pieces that are always involved. We used their bartenders and so many people commented on how great the drinks were - they really knocked it out of the park!! Their team made it easy for setting up and clean up!! They were awesome with making sure all things were organized for vendor pickups. We cannot thank The Spot On West Fifth enough for helping make our wedding so beautiful!!! Highly recommend!!!!

She was also thorough with us and made sure we thought of all of the details regarding the flow of our day. They set up the space for the ceremony and reception beautifully. When it came time to flip the room from ceremony to reception, the team at The Spot moved rapidly. We got many compliments from guests on how quickly and seamlessly that transition occurred. We couldn’t be more happy with our choice to have our wedding at The Spot. They are a very personable, accommodating and professional team all around and were a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend The Spot to others looking for an event space!

the right "spot". Then, The Spot on West Fifth became an easy favorite once we previewed the venue and met with Sam. This venue is very much an "a la carte" type situation. They provide the space, tables, chairs, and the basics. As the couple, you are able to hire any food caterers, alcohol, bartenders, etc.. Initially I was worried because many other venues have a set, lock-in price per person.. but The Spot allows you to craft your own dream wedding without paying all those extra useless fees. They give a wonderful list of recommended vendors and truly have worked with every company around Cincinnati, so they can give the best advice. Any time I questioned if I was picking the right person/vendor, I would reach out to Sam and she would advise me on what to do.. even the photographers. The Spot gave us a ton of layouts because we had a wedding and reception all in one. My biggest fear was this idea of a room flip with 200 guests waiting. To my surprise it was incredibly fluid and fast. I was shocked. During the wedding, The Spot staff ensured everything was moving smoothly and was always willing to help. Sam communicated constantly with my wedding planner, DJ, and our party to ensure we were in the known. We were definitely happy with the Spot and only give it high praise. Do not hesitate to reach out and tour this beautiful industrial type of loft venue for your perfect event/wedding.

They even installed more sting lights into the ceiling which looked amazing. We had both our ceremony and reception here and the room flip during cocktail our went so smoothly! Also their bridal suite in the back was the perfect space to store things and have a moment to breathe before and during the event. Finally, getting to provide your own alcohol is a huge plus to this venue! We were able to choose only all local craft beer and select the brands of liquor that we prefer to drink, which was definitely not an option at most other venues. There prices are extremely competitive and I highly recommend giving them a look! We would definitely choose this venue again.

We loved being able to customize the venue with our own decor as well as bring in our own licensed bar tenders and caterers. The place is beautiful and can be set up in a variety of different ways making every event there unique. The exposed brick and the industrial look was exactly what we were looking for. Additionally, it's conveniently located within walking distance to many great hotels, restaurants, bars, the Banks, OTR, and more. The venue was extremely spacious for our 100 guests and felt there was plenty of room for more. Our setup required a flip for the reception which was done in record time with their teams help. The bridal suite made for a wonderful place for the wedding party to leave their personal items. Being able to put down a deposit and not needing to pay the rest until the day of the event allowed us to save money for our big day, while knowing we had secured our perfect spot and could begin planning the rest with caterers, making invites, and everything else involved. Sam and Christy were super accommodating from start to finish with all of our requests, day and night. They allowed my wife to schedule a mock set up with our wedding planner while she was in town (we live in NYC), which made the day of the event flow much better. Sam even went out of her way the next day to help us load up items which they kept safely secured overnight so we could enjoy the rest of our evening as newlyweds with friends and family. We received numerous compliments on our venue choice and our guests were wowed at how everything came together at the Spot on West Fifth. We will definitely consider using this venue in the future for family events in Cincinnati! We are so thankful to Sam, Christy, and the Team at the Spot on West Fifth as they made our day truly magical!
