The perfect blend of old and new stories welcome your guests as they stroll the city block by block, experiencing the Raleigh lifestyle inclusive of exceptional accommodations, restaurants, retail, and galleries.
Abundant in historic charm, the architecture of the venue is characterized by exposed brick, warm hardwood floors, and lofty lattice ceilings, crafting a picturesque canvas to highlight your unique style. Featuring two private getting ready suites, including our penthouse suite, The Glass Box, you can luxuriate in celebrating the entirety of your special day in The Stockroom at 230. This gorgeous venue comfortably accommodates 50-175 for a ceremony and seated reception with a dance floor. e informing us— we only found out after asking a question and being redirected to a completely new person. Our final venue coordinator, was always a bit off-putting. At first, it came across as a “gets-things-done” type of attitude, but on the wedding day, she was simply rude to my family who were only trying to help. On the day of the wedding, no one from the venue introduced themselves to me (the bride) or my husband, nor did anyone let us know who our point of contact was. We were never given the code to the bridal suite; my makeup artist and flower woman had to track someone down to get it. One of the main reasons we chose this venue was the gorgeous bridal suite, which we used for photos with my bridesmaids, our moms, and eventually my husband. Unfortunately, when we arrived that morning, the suite was dirty and we spent about 30 minutes cleaning before we could even start getting ready. At the end of the night, my family was rushed to get our belongings out—even though we had already lost time cleaning the suite earlier in the day. There is definitely room for improvement in communication and day-of professionalism. We truly loved the venue itself, but would want future couples to be aware of these concerns before booking.

The entire team made sure we were taken care of- I cannot say enough good things about the staff. The Glass Box was an incredible place to get ready and take photos with my ladies, and the guys enjoyed their getting ready space too. The space was exactly what we dreamed and would highly recommend. They made it a truly magical day.

The glass box bridal suite was a gorgeous feature, with floor-to-ceiling windows that flooded the room with natural light, making the getting-ready experience with my bridesmaids and moms even more special. The partly cloudy weather allowed us to make full use of the patio for beautiful photos and a memorable first look with my dad. With 146 guests, the space felt ideal and intimate. Everything we envisioned for our venue became a reality at The Stockroom at 230!

most important step. We actually picked the venue from a state away in the thick of the pandemic in early 2021, and we couldn't be happier with how our virtual choice turned out.
The venue boasted an incredibly helpful staff, numerous vendor connections (catering from legit restaurants around Raleigh with a discount? Big time.), and a multitude of use spaces beyond the wonderful main room for ceremony and reception (you've got to look into The Glass Box, a picturesque penthouse/rooftop space perfect for a bride to get ready and for a happy couple to escape to throughout the night).
And y'all, location?? Locking down room blocks with downtown Raleigh hotels ensured our guests could be walking distance from the venue, so no shuttles (or designated drivers) were necessary. Not to mention, after closing out the celebration, we were able to take the party to bars in the Raleigh social district! Oh yeah, lots of great photo opportunities within the venue and the surrounding area too.
Really, The Stockroom at 230 is the whole package. We have the best memories of our time there, and now every time we walk down Fayetteville Street we get a wonderful reminder of our big day. Make sure you choose The Stockroom so you can do the same!

The team there was professional and answered all of our questions quickly. Their list of preferred vendors was top notch. The Glass Box - that you get as part of the wedding rental - is just gorgeous, with plenty of space to get ready and a beautiful rooftop deck for photos, as well as secure for purses and personal items. On the wedding day itself, the venue hosts worked seamlessly with our day of planner and vendors. It was an absolute dream of a wedding!

We found delicious catering because of their vendor options. Even security and concierge services were the upmost professional. atural decor to the service from the coordination team made for a perfect, seamless wedding. Taylor was prompt in her replies and very flexible through COVID changes. One thing to note is that they do require a Day Of Coordinator (which can't be a relative), which we kept forgetting but were ultimately glad we hired. rescheduling when we had a conflict with our initial date. The set up was great for a wedding of 135 people and the staff was able to break down some tables after dinner to make more room for the dance floor. At the end of the night, it was super convenient for walking to downtown bars and hotels which was perfect for our guests. We got lots of compliments on how beautiful the space was. And the good thing is, you really do not need to use much decorations for the space—it is pretty all on its on (especially with the market lights!) We did have two down sides to the venue: 1, we required extra set up time and break down time because of our band and with every hour there is an extra clean up fee and 2, the venue does not have a reserved space out front which made it difficult for some of our vendors to unload (this was particularly difficult for family/friends that we had helping us who were not familiar with the process). Also keep in mind that there are only public parking/parking garages available to guests. Otherwise, we absolutely loved everything about our day and the Stockroom worked out perfectly!

Because our event was so large, we went with one of their venues that could accommodate the most people. We definitely made the right choice with The Stockroom at 230.

We worked with Alexandra who was kind, professional, and extremely helpful in making sure our reception (and ceremony at All Saints Chapel) went off without a hitch. had a seat for everyone, buffet dinner, and a dance floor so it was a little tight but my amazing coordinator Priscilla with Orangerie Events made it work! The venue has an elevator so this makes it much easier for elderly guests. Parking for the venue can be a little tricky, especially if there are a lot of events going on downtown but overall I say don't worry about that! Your guests will figure it out. I had mine park in parking garages nearby on Wilmington St and they just had to walk a block or two. I recommend putting some kind of sign out front on the door or on the sidewalk indicating the entrance because it can be difficult to find if your guests are unfamiliar with Fayetteville Street. I also recommend splurging a little and renting market lights for your reception. I rented mine from Sarah Morris at ThemeWorks and we put them over the dance floor. They were beautiful and definitely worth it! Katie Rae was great to work with and very responsive. I did have a little problem when Empire charged my credit card a couple months before a payment was scheduled according to my contract. This brought some headaches but Katie Rae helped get everything sorted out. Overall this venue is fantastic and I would highly recommend it!
