The best thing about Susan is she NEVER seems stressed or concerned and makes you feel confident that everything will be OK. For starters, we delayed our wedding by two years because of COVID…so naturally, there were certain details I just totally forgot about. Fortunately, Susan didn’t. She’d remind me of whatever comments I’d made two years prior, follow up on things I didn’t even realize we’d talked about, and keep my family and me on track when we needed it most. She came to as many of our appointments with other vendors as possible, asking smart questions and helping us make strategic decisions along the way. On the day of the wedding (which we had at the Fillmore in Fishtown), every single member of her team was ON, helping us squash little issues and stay as much on schedule as possible. Her team was quick, attentive, and lovely all-around. They’re exactly what you want in a wedding planning team—they’re kind, yet firm. They’re cattle herders, but with a friendly touch. And most of all, they know what they’re doing and make you feel like you can relax and let them take care of you and your loved ones on your special day.

Second, the day of the wedding can be extremely hectic. We had two members from Susan's team with us - Kate and Arielle - and they were UNBELIEVABLE. An issue would pop into my head, I would start mentioning it to Kate, and she would already have it covered. They are literally solving problems that you don't even realize are happening. Having two people there is also a MUST. One planner assisted me through most of the day and the other kept my husband on track. The day went so smooth and I was able to enjoy every single minute of it because I was able to rely on them to worry about the timeline and all the other details. I also want to emphasize that Susan and her team are really kind, smart women. Planning a wedding is a huge deal and I think it's so important to pick your planner and vendors carefully, and make sure they are people you want to be around and work with during stressful times. We love everyone we worked with- invitations, floral designer, caterer, cake baker, band (off the charts, dance floor packed the entire night), ceremony musicians, photographer, videographer…. Susan is super creative and, when combined with her creative vendors, the wedding weekend had details that reflected the couple throughout- from the hotel welcome boxes to the favors at the end of the reception! We planned a weekend of events including museum tours and a morning run with the groom followed by a surprise at a newly opened venue - all of which took organization and was flawless. And, of course, we had a couple of “pivots” in the process, and they handled that well - including my redoing the tables two hours before the wedding due to Covid cancellations-and somehow the team managed to redo the escort cards. ll wedding planning. I have no idea how we would have handled setting everything up and thinking through all of the day-of (and rehearsal) details. Her knowledge and organizational skills were totally invaluable. I had a lot of items/crafts that needed to be put out, some with little instruction because I was unsure of the table sizes/placements, etc. but everything looked absolutely incredible. Much better than I could have done myself. To top it all off, our venue called me the morning of our wedding about more clarification they received around masks. (Despite all of our guests being vaccinated, they said that because of their own staffing issues we would all have to be masked for the entire wedding. They refused to budget or work with us at all.) Susan took over and completely pulled through for us, pushing the venue to outsource staff... honestly I'm not even sure what she did. It was a miracle. It was so nice too to go back to the hotel with the rest of the guests and not worry about packing up or anything like that. 10/10 would recommend.
