because other hotel patrons could generally walk right by the wedding spaces, or even watch. And some of the hotel carpeting was honestly deal-breaking 😆 We actually started looking at country clubs and golf courses -- which was definitely NOT our vibe. We weren't even going to check out the Tiffany, but they were hosting a Showcase event with lots of their preferred vendors, and we decided to go just to talk with vendors, since we figured we wouldn't be interested in the hotel venue. We had some great conversations with vendors (even used a bunch!). When we exited the ballroom to debrief, we looked at each other and were like, "Did we just find our venue???" The space is NOT in the middle of the hotel. It is attached on the side, so it is extremely private. They redid the carpeting a few years ago and it is literally gorgeous. Unlike just about every other venue we'd seen, they had three separate spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception -- no flipping. And somehow, it was one of the least expensive we'd seen! We wanted an entirely indoor wedding, and the Tiffany has beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. So we took photos outside by the pavilion (also available to guests who wanted some air), as well as the little waterfall, bridge, and lots of wooded and curated areas. But enough about the space -- let us tell you about the staff. Mindy and Jayme are the "Catering Team" managers, but they are so much more. We worked with Mindy as our Venue/Day-Of Coordinator and we can't sing her praises enough. We considered hiring a day-of coordinator, because we'd heard from other couples and vendors that the venue coordinator prioritizes the venue, not the couple. Mindy assured us that it was not necessary, and that one of her roles was our Day-Of Coordinator. Oh boy, was she amazing at it. She was incredibly responsive in all our email communications, answering every little question. She is kind, resourceful, and -- very importantly to us -- non-judgmental. Not to mention, she is organized and has years of experience, so she really knows what she's doing. On the day of the wedding, she made sure everything was set up how we wanted. She made sure things got moved from one place to another on time. And when it became clear that we had messed up our escort cards, so guests were all going to the wrong tables, she quickly rounded up the event staff to make sure every guest got their correct meal with allergies accounted for. We were barely 10 minutes behind schedule. Once we were settled into the reception, she handed us off to Eddie, who took care of us the rest of the night. We loved Eddie! The man has such good energy and is clearly good people. At the end of the night, Eddie and the staff gathered up all of our things. They made sure everything we needed came home with us, that the cake was saved and fridged, that the flowers were picked up for donation the next day... Every detail cared for. And of course, our complementary suite was roomy and comfy, and the breakfast the next morning was one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had (and many of our guests said the same!). There was an omelette bar, waffle bar, AND smoothie bar!! Seriously, we cannot thank Mindy and her team enough. It was an amazing experience, and we recommend it to everybody.
