Our entire family enjoyed working the Longwood staff. From the sales process to the day of the wedding, they were attentive, responsive, and fun to work with. Alicia worked us through the initial steps of the process. She answered every one of our questions no matter how small or if she had already answered it. She was patient as we changed our proposal a few times to match our needs. Then we worked with Angela as our event specialist. She was extremely responsive and communicative and even helped to ensure the bookcase on the fourth floor was decorated as we wanted it on the day of. The whole kitchen staff was amazing when it came to the dietary needs of our guests, including myself who is gluten free and dairy free. I cannot say enough about this staff and would recommend this venue and company to anyone looking to get married in Boston!
From start to finish, working with Longwood and having our wedding at The Tower was a dream experience. Alicia did our initial tour and worked with us on booking, and we were blown away by how thoughtful and kind she was, as well as how knowledgeable and communicative she was about all the many details of booking a wedding venue! The Tower was our dream location - basically a castle in the middle of Boston! The inside is just as incredible, and we were so in love with the vibe that we barely had to do any additional decorations. We worked with Angela as our event specialist, who essentially kept me sane throughout the entire planning process and helped us so much in thinking through all the million decisions neither of us even realized we had to make.
We got married and had our reception on the 4th floor library, and had our cocktail hour on the 1st floor lounge, both absolutely gorgeous locations that we and our guests loved! Despite all the moving around, the day went incredibly smoothly. Angela, our attendant Nicole, and all of the Longwood staff were so nice and attentive to us and to our guests; it really allowed us to soak in our wedding day without worrying about everything coming together at the end. The food and the drinks were genuinely great, way better than we expected for wedding food, and we had guests say the same thing to us throughout the night. The Tower has a very special place in our hearts and we are so incredibly happy that we got married there!
Our wedding day was perfect thanks to the most beautiful space, amazing staff, and incredible food! Angela was great to work with from start to finish, so hard-working, responsive, and encouraging through it all! All the staff made the day flow seamlessly! The Tower is breathtaking, leaving all our guests in awe! Such a beautiful and unique space, making our city wedding dreams come true!
I just hosted my wedding here in September 2024 and it was INCREDIBLE! The staff - Especially Erika and Mackenzie were a dream to work with and made the whole process seamless from start to finish. The in house catering and gorgeous space were such a plus. My guests loved the unique features right at the heart of the city!
Having our wedding at the Tower was a dream come true and made even better by all of the staff's coordination, attention to detail, and execution of our wedding! We're so thankful to the team (Jenna especially, but Nicole, Mackenzie and all the event staff) that ensured we were taken care of all night long. There was not a single detail that wasn't thought of and during our wedding we felt supported, cared for, and at ease because of everyone's hard work. There's not a single doubt in our minds or hearts that we could've had a better wedding or venue anywhere else.
We truly can't say enough about The Tower and what it meant to have our wedding here. It's such a unique, stunning venue and we truly feel lucky to have hosted our guests here. Kat was the most spectacular coordinator and we couldn't have imagined pulling this day off without her. Aside from the beauty and wonderful location of this venue, the services provided here make the wedding day stress-free, as the venue staff pay attention to every detail to allow you and your partner to be present throughout your day. We'll never forget our wedding day here!
The Tower was everything that my husband and I dreamed of and more! From the decor, to the food, to the staff, The Tower was the best decision we made for our wedding. My husband and I, as well as all 120 of our guests, were so well taken care of and the entire day went so smoothly. Guests are still complimenting us on how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food was and how well run the entire event was. Not to mention how wonderful the location is in the heart of the city and next to many hotels and parking lots.
We worked with Jenna Scali as our day of coordinator and can't thank her enough for what a wonderful job she did. From our first interactions with Jenna, we knew we were in great hands. She was incredibly organized, listened to all of our needs/requests and made the day exactly what we had dreamed of.
You can't go wrong with The Tower!
I really can't say enough about what a good experience we had at the Tower. The convenience for all of our guests was what appealed to us at first: everyone could fly / train / drive into the city and no need to get in a car after that. There are a bunch of hotels nearby so people could stay right across the street, be together all weekend and get to and from the venue with no busses or other herding required by us. Also plenty of lively options for an afterparty right in the immediate area.
We absolutely loved the space itself: we found that it had a very unique, old school vibe that was cool and different without trying too hard. Our wedding was in December which we thought fit really well with the dark wood and big fireplaces. We loved how we could move throughout the building to rooms with a different feel for the different portions of the night.
We were told before booking by someone who had worked with Longwood that they were total pros, and I think Kat and team still wowed us. Going into the wedding Kat was super responsive and helpful getting all the details ironed out, making suggestions where we needed them, helping us navigate policies and processes that we weren't familiar with. Throughout the night we kept turning around wondering how that thing we needed had gotten there or who had figured out that solution to xyz weird problem that popped up. She was also totally the calming presence we needed in leading us through how it all worked the day of. Really allowed us to focus on the day and spending time with our family and friends. And to top it off the food was some of the best we have had at a wedding venue! Almost hard to believe.
We got so many comments from our guests about how much they liked the venue, how different it was from most other things they had seen, and how good the food was. Would they lie to us to make us feel good? Maybe. But even the brutally honest ones said so. We wouldn't change a thing and would absolutely recommend to anybody.
Amazing venue with a variety of different spaces within the building. They were extremely professional and easy to work with -- they made sure everything went super smoothly on the day of so that we (bride and groom) could focus on having a wonderful time. Space was elegant, warm, and classic with just the right amount of character/decorative touches. Catering was excellent.
The management there has seemingly little care for customer service. I understand needing to close on time but claiming someone is a wiseass for needing 2 extra minutes to get ready to leave is overkill. One of the managers, “Tom Smith” could not have been less hospitable. Would recommend never holding an event there.
We cannot say enough about how fabulous it was to host our daughter's wedding at The Tower this past New Year's Eve. Their event coordinator, Jenna Scali, did an outstanding job coordinating every aspect of the wedding from ceremony to after party, and along with her colleague Vanessa made the entire evening seamless and so amazingly wonderful! She was extremely organized, responsive and cool-headed throughout the entire process. We always knew that our happiness was her top priority and motivation. The space itself has been meticulously renovated and the food was sumptuous--we were able to customize many dishes with their very able executive chef who provided a beautiful tasting with wines a month earlier. Cannot Recommend this venue and Longwood Events highly enough! Many many thanks and kudos to them and their entire team!
I can't say enough good things about The Tower and staff. Amber Darcy, our event specialist, was out of this world. She made the whole process so easy and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She always promptly responded to my emails and questions, and always made me feel at ease with the whole process. The weekend of the wedding, she ensured everything went so smoothly and that we wouldn't have to worry about a thing. Our attendant, Jodi, that day was also absolutely amazing and made the day so easy. I cannot say enough good things about Amber and the staff. Additionally, the venue was GORGEOUS and the food was incredible. The guests are still talking about how stunning the venue was as well as how amazing the food was. I couldn't recommend The Tower or a longwood venue enough.
When our original ceremony venue canceled on us last minute, we panicked. Boston can be a challenging city to plan a wedding in, so when I contacted Alicia at Longwood, I didn't think they'd be able to do much for us as we only needed a ceremony venue. Alicia got back to me shortly after and told me they'd be happy to host a ceremony for us. The relief we felt was indescribable and we signed the contract as soon as we could. They matched us with Kiara for our event coordinator and she was fabulous from day 1, answering all my questions and concerns while juggling the very busy wedding season of 2022. When I arrived to The Tower for our ceremony, Kiara had everything running like a Swiss watch. Everything ran on schedule (shocking for a wedding!) and she pulled off a beautiful, memorable ceremony with a gorgeous seating arrangement around our chuppah. We also elected to not do a rehearsal which I was nervous about, but you'd never know it because Kiara was running the show. I know it was a lot of hard work and coordinating, but she made it look so effortless. We are so grateful to all the staff on hand who were there to welcome guests and take care of everyone. Thank you all so, so much. If you need a Boston wedding venue, look no further.
My husband and I got married at the Tower in April 2022—and we had the most amazing time! We live in Boston, and were looking for a unique venue in the area that is rich in character.
• THE SPACE: With its four floors, gorgeous fireplaces and bars, beautiful wood detailing and “Gatsby”-esque charm, the Tower was exactly what we were looking for. We toured the space in March 2021 when it was still undergoing renovations, which, once complete, only enhanced its existing character. Our ceremony was on the second floor in the Parlor in front of the fireplace. The bridesmaids and I entered from the turret room in the back and created an aisle that led straight to the fireplace – it was such a beautiful set up. There was plenty of space for our 80 guests, and with a stadium-type seating arrangement, everyone had a good view of the ceremony. Having the third floor Green Room as the “bridal suite” for storing our things and having some time to ourselves after the ceremony was really helpful… plus there were more photo opps in front of yet another gorgeous fireplace! We had fun exploring the space (including the staircases!) with our photographer to find interesting, unique spots for photos.
• THE STAFF: Talia, the Longwood Venues contact that showed us around, was welcoming, friendly, and informative—we were even gifted a bottle of sparkling wine for coming in to tour! She was helpful and responsive throughout our contracting process. Jenna was our event planner that helped us put all the details together once we contracted with them. She hosted us for our tasting where we also got to meet the chef, David Blessing, and the other staff that would be helping on the day of our wedding. Everyone was very nice and helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed/that everything was going to plan throughout our day.
• THE FOOD: The food… the food was truly incredible. Jenna, Chef Blessing and team helped us to customize the Italian buffet menu to be exactly what we wanted (I had always wanted to eat pizza at my wedding, and they helped that delicious dream come true). Our guests are continuing to rave about it a month later! It was like eating at an upscale Boston restaurant. It really stood out and helped make the evening even more memorable.
• THE PRICE: When we first toured the Tower, we were afraid to learn the ultimate cost, as it seemed far too gorgeous to be affordable. But luckily, we were pleasantly surprised, and worked with our limited budget!
All in all, we would absolutely recommend the Tower to anyone looking for a truly unique, beautiful wedding. We wouldn’t change a thing about our special day. Thank you, Longwood staff!
