Beautiful venue. They have just updated the whole facility and the new management is terrific. We enjoyed every minute of our event with them. They have everything you need for a perfect day. Definitely check them out!
Not worth it for the price they have a frame hung on on a air vent. Not appealing on the inside at all.
I contacted the venue to have my ceremony there. I was told the location (outdoor pergola and canopy in case of rain) was available. I live out of state so traveled to see the place. When I emailed to book, I was told that actually only the outdoor space was available, and the patio/indoor rain plan was not. In addition, access to the green was restricted (so no pictures). The person I worked with admitted to just failing to check the calendar.
Though I never ended up having my ceremony there, I'm glad I didn't. To have such a simple misstep as to not checking the calendar is ridiculous. I can't imagine what other mistakes would've/could've been made if such a basic step was overlooked.
I have to admit that Seasons in Wallingford was not on my top 10 list to start. We had searched other places and were disappointed with price and professionalism. Both a friend and a family member mentioned Seasons so we gave it a try. As soon as we walked in we thought that we could see ourselves be married there. The place is so clean and was full of natural light inside. I loved that it had an outdoor patio and we were able to be married outside as well. Also, they have a great bridal suite to get ready in!
Booking with Seasons was the best decision we made. I planned my wedding on my own but I felt as if I had a built in wedding planner with Jen and Liz. I felt as if my wedding planning throughout the year was stress free- all I had to do was call/e-mail Jen or Liz! Each time I spoke with them they were so calming and had great insight to floor plans, décor, timing, etc.
On my wedding day, I did not have to worry about one thing. The bridal suite perfectly fit my large bridal party (7 bridesmaids, 3 junior bridesmaids, and both mom's got ready with us!) and the hairdressers/make-up professionals. We all had private spaces in the bathroom or in the large closet to get dressed! We were provided with refreshments and I was able to freely walk into the reception room and get a peak of how it looked inside which was so nice. The groom party was running late (glad it wasn't me!)- but Jen took care of timing.
We were married on site. Seasons thought of little details to make each wedding guest feel comfortable; for instance, they provided lemonade for my guests to enjoy as they were waiting for me to walk down the aisle. There was enough seating for all of our guests and the breeze on the hill made each of them feel comfortable. It was so beautiful outside and the pictures came out so nice. There were many places to take photos of our wedding party.
At the reception, the wait staff was professional and friendly. The bartenders were hysterical-making my guests laugh. They ensured that my husband and I were able to sit down and eat! Oh my gosh, THE FOOD! I have to say the best wedding food I have ever had. So many of our guests have raved about their dinners (they are still talking about it)! How many weddings have you been to where the food is just so bland? Well, not a problem at all at Seasons! We had the filet mignon, salmon with a dill sauce, chicken scaloppini, and we added eggplant parmesan for our vegetarian guests. I had the salmon and I got a bite of my husband's filet- it just melted in your mouth. All was cooked to perfection and was so artistically placed on the plate. The sauce was delicious & approved by our Italian family.
Each staff member was so invested in making our day special. My family surprised me with a photo booth and the staff helped. Each time they sent me a bill, a contract, or a floor plan, they had to do it twice: one with the photo booth for me not to see and one without to show me. I was so shocked and surprised on the day of my wedding. Even while the staff was setting-up, they ensured that I was not in there when the photo booth was brought in.
My husband and I could not be more happy. The entire year of planning and the wedding day was blissful. If you book with Seasons, I can ensure you that you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend them and will use their venue again for future events.
We had our vow renewal last Saturday at Seasons At Oak Lane (Woodbridge location) and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. When I first found Seasons, I figured it would be out of our budget because it looked simply beautiful, but to my surprise it wasn't!
I dealt with Alicia who was very kind to answer all of my questions and fulfill my requests without hesitation. We had our event in the Glass Room, which was perfect for our smaller party. It was clean and perfectly set up when we arrived.
The food was fabulous! All of our guests raved about how wonderful it as and how stuffed they were :o) We did provide our own dessert so I can't comment on that, but if it's anything like the main course, I'm sure it would be delicious!
The grounds were beautifully kept and had many photo ops. I know they do provide a ceremony space for an additional fee, but we did not use this option. However, I'm sure it would have been lovely if we did.
I would recommend Seasons to another bride in a heartbeat! It's beautiful, not too far out of the way and budget friendly. The perfect venue!
Happy planning! :o)
I can't say enough good things about Season's. The staff is amazing. Jen and Alicia were awesome event planners. They were always available to answer my questions over the phone or willing to meet with me. On the day of our wedding Jen, Alicia and the rest of the staff were great. Anything we needed or wanted they were willing to get for us.
The food was incredible. We picked the buffet option and had several of our guests come up to us and say it was the best wedding food they ever had.
Bartenders were friendly, fast and after a few trips up to the bar had drinks waiting for my guests as they saw them making their way to the bar.
The grounds are beautiful and well kept.
I highly recommend this venue.
I’m not even sure where to begin with praising Jen and the entire team at Seasons for their hard work and dedication to making our wedding day absolutely perfect from beginning to end. We had our July 2013 wedding at Seasons, including our ceremony, and the entire day was beyond anything we could have imagined! From the beginning of the planning stages Jen and Liz helped us make decisions and answered the hundreds of questions I had! They even recommended our rehearsal dinner venue, which ended up being perfect also! When it came time decide on food my family went to Seasons for a tasting and was so impressed with their meals (especially the manicotti…get the manicotti!). We met with Jen about a week before the wedding to go over the millions of details I had planned for the ceremony and reception. She was so accommodating with every idea or request that we had. On the Friday before the wedding, we rehearsed on the covered stone patio, then went to the pergola to run it through just in case there was a weather miracle and we could have it outside. On the day of the wedding, the girls and I were able to spend the whole day in the beautiful bridal suite relaxing and getting ready (one of the best decisions I made!) and Jen was, again, so accommodating that day. We got married on the Saturday of the end of a weeklong heat wave and storms were predicted for that day. The whole day was sunny right up until 4:00 (on the dot it seemed!) As the ceremony began the heavens opened up and it began to downpour, lightning and thunder (like I’ve never seen before!) Every single staff member ran out in the thunder, lightning and rain to put down the awnings of the patio so our guests didn’t get wet from the rain being blown in…THAT, my friends, is dedication! Even with the heat wave, rain and storms, my ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and it makes a great story to tell! During cocktail hour, Jen came around and made sure everyone, including my family, especially my husband and I, had drinks and hors d’oeuvres (she even made me a plate of the fried mac n’ cheese because she noticed those were my favorite!). During the reception so many guests came to us and raved about the food, some people said it was the best dinner that had ever had! I AGREE!!! The service was outstanding, the bartenders danced with my guests (from behind the bar of course) and even my photographer and DJ made it a point to tell my husband and I that Seasons was the BEST venue that had ever worked at (and they are seasoned vendors). The staff made sure my vendors got their meals, had drinks and they were served coffee and dessert. I really cannot say enough amazing things about the staff at Seasons. They went above a beyond, not only for me, my husband and my family but for all of our guests, and people definitely took notice. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jen and the entire team at Seasons for making our “best day ever” so incredibly unforgettable!
We had our wedding on June 29th and we were very pleased. Our guests raved about how delicious the food was and how nice the venue was. We were married outside and had a beautiful day. We were so happy to have a smooth day. Jen was wonderful to work with.
We booked with Seasons for our reception and were so incredibly impressed starting on day 1! We worked with Liz who was always available to answer each and every question and worked with us to find the perfect package that met our needs! The hall is BEAUTIFUL, clean and the food is absolutely amazing! There are plenty of selections that are different from your standard wedding reception meals! They also allowed us to bring in our own goodies for the venetian table. The bridal suite is HUGE and the personal service you receive is what really makes the mark! The servers and bartenders were equally amazing and we were just more and more impressed not only throughout the planning process but as the night went on! I HIGHLY recommend Seasons for your wedding reception!
We had both our ceremony and reception at Seasons and it was EVERYTHING we dreamed it would be. My husband and I wanted to get married at a venue that would also be able to accommodate us if the weather was bad. Seasons has a beautiful outside ceremony location as well as a wonderful covered pavilion still overlooking the grounds (and separate from the reception room) that gave us peace of mind. Fortunately the weather held out but either way Seasons provides great options.
We also had a large wedding (204 guests) and they were able to accommodate us in their beautiful space. The reception area has a beautiful high ceiling with white beams...several people remarked how beautiful the facility and grounds were. Jen, the owner and wedding coordinator is WONDERFUL and responsive. She responded to my emails in a timely fashion and put up with my thousands of questions and concerns. She was also very flexible and did everything she could to make our day perfect (which it was).
Additionally, people have not stopped raving about how delicious the food was!! My friend and colleague said it was (quote) the best filet he's ever had "period" and the best food at a country club over all. And he's an avid golfer. I heard the phrase "melted in my mouth" and "cooked perfectly" said repeatedly. The chicken and the risotto were big hits too! Everyone loved the appetizers and said they couldn't get enough...my guests also complimented the staff as being very friendly and responsive.
I highly recommend Seasons for any couple looking for a venue that provides both a ceremony and reception site. I also recommend it for someone looking to have a reception with delicious food and excellent service at a reasonable price
We had my daughter's wedding here on 7/7/12, and everything was flawless. Not only are the grounds absolutely beautiful, which makes it very convenient for pictures, but the room was bright and airy, opening onto a private patio overlooking the golf course. Jen was amazingly patient and helpful throughout the planning process, and her assistant Liz was on hand for the entire event and was always available to check to make sure everything went well. At the end of the evening, my other daughter from NY, who is extremely discriminating, commented, " Mom, how come we didn't know about this place? I can't believe no one else that we know ever got married here!" It was just that great! Thanks again and again to Jen, Liz, and the entire staff at Seasons at the Tradition Golf Club!
The staff at the Seasons went way above and beyond all of my expectations. Jen was always quick to respond to all of my many questions, and they were so accommodating. I did not have to worry about anything on our wedding day, they took care of it all and made sure everything went smoothly.
The food was delicious, and everyone I have spoken to that attended the wedding said it was the best food they have had at a wedding. The location is beautiful, and even the "backup" ceremony location under the pavilion (this is where we had our ceremony) is beautiful. We fell in love with the reception room because of the hardwood floors, big windows, and neutral decor.
Another bonus is the huge bridal suite! With a private bathroom, which is a huge bonus.
I would recommend the seasons to anyone for a wedding or celebration.
From the time I put our wedding date on hold until the moment I was walking out to my car after the reception the staff at The Tradition were awesome! The day of our wedding it was sprinkling and the staff waited until the last moment to set up the chairs outside and it ended up stopping and being dry. This is just one example how they went above and betond for us, I couldn't have asked or dreamed of a better venue to have our wedding!!
Every bride will say her wedding is perfect, well, at least most of them. Well, mine was. The venue is gorgeous, to start. Beautiful green hills, very "Connecticut," with tall ceilings and dark hardwood floors, and lots of windows, it doesn't feel like the typical wedding venue/hotel with the grungy patterned carpets and no natural light. And that's just the looks. The service is incredible beyond words. My husband and I were waited on hand and foot, and I got everything I wanted, down to a last minute custom plate for my father, that they did for me at no extra cost and I had mentioned the night before on a whim. Phenomenal. We also wanted surprise late-night appetizers, which they hadn't done before, but they helped me create the perfect bar-food menu. The bar service was awesome, and everyone was crazy about their drink of the night, the "Hurricane Irene." They also made pitchers of my favorite drink, sangria, which I was too busy to drink, but I hear was so delicious my non-drinking mother had 4! All the food was not only tasted great, which is saying a lot, but it was so beautifully arranged, very elegant and incredibly impressive. Everyone has been raving about it non-stop. I know we could not have chosen a better venue.
seasons was beautiful! set on a golf course even though we're not golf people...got married outside under the pergola! after the ceremony, guests walked about 50 ft inside for cocktail hour on the patio while we took short walks for pictures... there are not too many places close by for pics but the ones we got were great (see my review on sassymouth photo) the only thing was the lady who ran the events was very hard to reach sometimes..i didnt get the floor plan untill 3 or 4 days before the wedding..the room is a little small..we had 100 and it seemed to just fit..but overall the people were very helpful and it was a great night
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! You are in amazing hands with the staff at Seasons! They are unbelievable! We had our own personal staff member, Christina, she was amazing! She was always there finding me to make sure that I was all set!
The meticulous staff at Seasons took care of EVERYTHING!!! People laugh when I tell them that I had no concept of time during our wedding. I know that I arrived at 1:15, the ceremony started around 4:00 and that's it. The dedicated staff at Seasons took care of everything else.
If you get a moment take a few minutes out on the patio just you and your husband and watch the party going on inside for the two of you (try to bring a camera with you outside, I wish I did)!
Seasons made it a wonderfully beautiful and exciting night! Their personal attention to even the smallest detail and request was outstanding! Words cannot express how thankful we are for everything that they did for us. The guests kept coming up to us to let us know how unbelievably friendly and attentive the staff was to each of our guests!
The food was exquisite! I ate 1/2 my savory filet mignon with my butter knife before I realized it, it was that perfectly cooked. The chef did an outstanding job making my favorite Portuguese soup, in fact my Aunt from Portugal even gave it two thumbs up :) , when Jen came around to see how it was. The venetian table was simply scrumptious! My sister is still craving one of those chocolate covered banana kabobs. My self personally I couldn't get enough of the dainty petit fours.
Once again Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
You will LOVE it at Seasons!!

I had my wedding here in April 2010 and have NOTHING but positive reviews and comments on both the staff and the food. We had just over 80 guests (including ourselves/wedding party) and they had more than enough room to accommodate all of us. We had our ceremony on site, in the South Room and then had photos done on the patio while they opened up and joined the North & South room for the reception.
The food was spectacular, the presentation was gorgeous, the staff was always there to meet and exceed our needs. I would gladly do my business here again should I need to accommodate a large party. Jen was wonderful to communicate with.
We chose the standard buffet with some additions and the food was spectacular. There was nothing there I didn't want to eat at least seconds of - I just wish I had had the time to do so!
We had our 120-person reception at Seasons and there was plenty of room and a large dance floor. The banquet room is beautiful even before decorating it; by far the best-looking hall for the price that we found. Jen and all the other staff were wonderful to work with, both during the planning process and during the reception itself. They're friendly, flexible, reliable and always responded very quickly to calls and e-mails. The food was delicious--especially the hors d'oeuvres, but also the buffet entrees--and our guests commented on how unusual it was for a wedding buffet dinner to be that tasty. The serving staff were not only courteous and professional but also cheerful and friendly, and looked like they were having a great time too. Our reception was truly perfect and Seasons was a major part of making that happen.
Seasons at the Tradition was the perfect match for us. We had our ceremony outside which was beautiful, and the reception under the pavillion outside. Jen, the coordinator, was so helpful and hardworking. She was on top of everything and did a wonderful job. Steve, the owner, went out of his way to make the place look perfect. He even strung Christmas lights throughout the entire pavillion because I wanted them! My guests had a wonderful time. They commented that the place was beautiful, the service was great, and the food was amazing.
Staff= amazing.Coordinator= super amazing.Facility=perfect.

They really went out of their way to make sure everything went as close to perfect as possible. Management was excellent & they really paid attention to detail.
