The Traveling Stylists

I want to start out by saying I truly loved my hair for the day of my wedding and Emily did a fantastic job with everything. However, the prices are pretty crazy. I was aware of the traveling fee and the services, but they’re outrageous. I honestly misread that the trail and wedding day fees were separate so that’s on me. If you’re a bride, be prepared to spend atleast $1000 for trail and day of. But in attempt to save myself some money, I chose to pay with the bank check instead of venmo or credit card so I didn’t have to pay the processing fees. I made sure I wrote the address on the envelope correctly. I mailed the check out at the correct time thinking that an envelope should only take 3 to 4 days to be received. Weeks went by and they still hadn’t received my check of $1300 for wedding day services. I hated to be annoying but I asked every week and they said, “sometimes our mail is weird and takes a long time. You’re not the only one this has happened to”. The Tuesday before my wedding day, I asked again if they had received my check and they said no. If I hadn’t texted them back and said, “what do we do now?” I feel they would have never come and done my wedding services. Which in that text message back after I asked that, she said if we don’t have the money in full, we can’t provide our services. So I then had to come up with another $1300 to pay them so I could get my hair and make up done for my wedding. Jokingly enough, the day before my wedding, the check I sent out to them came back to my mailbox with a note that said “incorrect” address. I hate to not leave a great review, but they don’t accept personal checks or cash! This would have made everyone’s lives easier if they just took cash the day of. It also stressed ME out to have that much money floating around who knows where, wondering if I’m still getting my wedding day services, and coming up with MORE money on top of all the other wedding day stress. And the address I wrote on the envelope matched exactly what they had in their contract. Overall, they have some awesome stylists, but the whole check thing has to reflect my review.

Ashlee and Lisa were amazing from start to finish. They were extremely helpful when my mom and I did our trials, and everyone loved the finish product on my wedding day. I would recommend them over and over again

Lisa was great to work with and I felt like she really listened to me. TTS were punctual, pleasant, and did great work on myself and my bridal party. Would hire again.

Great people and great job. My make up and hair were flawless and exactly what I wanted. My hair ended up not staying curled but that’s probably my hair/the rain. I really appreciated the flexibility.

OMG!! This group was the absolute best! Everyone that worked with me and my bridesmaids were so talented and fun! They made me feel so special and wonderful for the big day but were even so sweet to all those around me! They kept referring to my friends and family in the sweetest way and just reminded me of the wonderful people in my corner! I felt absolutely beautiful on the best day of my life!

Lisa and Ashlee are the best. I was so pleased with my hair and makeup on my wedding day and all their help to determine what would look best on me. I do not live close to where I was married and wasn't able to do a trial, but Lisa and Ashlee were always available via call or text and I'm so glad they were free for my wedding. I also loved that they gave the same level of personal attention to everyone in the wedding party. Not only are they excellent stylists, they were fun and down to earth and contributed to a fun day.

These girls were absolutely amazing! They were on time and ready to go. They were fun too! All of my bridesmaids and I looked ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! They do both hair and make up which makes life that day so much easier. The best part, they travel to you! Wonderful, professional, highly skilled hair and makeup stylists. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

From start to finish the traveling stylists were responsive, organized, and easy to work with. Trial was great and very helpful in deciding how to wear my hair on my wedding day. The morning of my wedding they arrived exactly when they said they would and got right to work. Both Carrie and Anna stayed precisely on schedule for myself, 5 bridesmaids and two moms. Everyone was happy with their hair style and makeup and nobody needed anything re-done, only minor touch ups. When I first searched vendors I was hesitant this service was too costly, I know now they are worth every penny. Professional, kind, and so efficient on what can be a very stressful day. Invaluable. Book them, don’t think twice!

I can't thank Ashlee and Ciara enough for doing hair and makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mom. They both did such a wonderful job in helping make sure we looked our best for the big day. I also want to give a big shoutout to Ashlee. We traveled to upstate NY from CT for my hair and makeup trial and for our engagement photos. At the time my dog suddenly became sick so while I was at the trial, my now husband was at the vet with our dog. He wasn't able to pick me up from the trial when we finished so Ashlee very kindly drove me to the vet's office, which I really appreciated. Thank you so much Ashlee!

I had a terrific experience with the traveling stylists! From my trial to the big day, I was treated with kindness and care! Lisa especially was so attentive to the things I wanted and made sure to execute them with finesse! My only reason for not giving a full five stars is that I occasionally talked with different people regarding the schedule/plan for the day and it seemed like things weren’t passed along to the whole team effectively. But even so, I would absolutely recommend the traveling stylists. I felt so beautiful and they were all so nice!

Highly recommend the traveling stylists. I am not a person who wears make-up day to day, and I wear glasses so I was a little nervous about what professional wedding makeup with glasses would look like for my wedding. I had a hair and makeup trial with Kaitlyn, who is so wonderfully charismatic you will feel comfortable with her right away. The makeup she did was beautiful and natural without being too much. It was great to have her back on my wedding day as a grounding and supportive presence, in addition to providing hair and makeup services. My whole wedding party used this service, and they were all thrilled with how it came out!

These guys traveled to us a fair distance, worked super early in the morning and did an absolutely amazing job on my wedding party! I cannot thank them enough. Everyone looked so beautiful! Most of us did not have any clue about what we wanted and handed the reigns to our stylists. Each look complimented our outfits so perfectly. Thank you so much!

Lisa and Ashlee were amazing. From initial contact to the trial to my wedding day. They were easy to get a hold of and always professional. My bridesmaids and I loved our hair and make up both and got so many compliments.

I loved working with The Traveling Stylists. I had the distinct pleasure of working with their stylist, Kaitlyn. She was so enthusiastic and creative and truly blew me away with what she could do with my short hair. I came to her for my hair and makeup trial not really sure what could be done to make my pixie cut stand out, and she gives me finger waves. FINGER WAVES. I looked like a 1920s flapper goddess and I was LIVING FOR IT!!!! I got so many compliments on my look at the wedding. Also, don't let me forget, she is a talented makeup artist and made myself and my bridesmaids look amazing. I couldn't be happier for having chosen them to work with. They came to my rented house, made the space work beautifully, and were very timely. Everyone got their hair and/or makeup done according to schedule. If you have the chance to work with The Traveling Stylists, I couldn't recommend them highly enough!

The Traveling Stylists were very easy to work with. They provided a schedule/timeline for the day of and were flexible when I had to request more services on short notice. Kris did the makeup for myself, MOH, and mom. She did an amazing job! I don’t normally wear much makeup. She was able to do it in a way that looked very natural and stunning being mindful not to completely coverup my freckles.

First of all they provide a schedule, which for anyone that’s had to plan a wedding knows how important that was. Second, Anna was absolutely wonderful. She made this redneck girl look like a princess, I’ve never felt so pretty in my entire life! She was always in communication with me, punctual and even recurled parts of my hair before she left and we only hired her for makeup. I cannot say enough great things about their exceptional service. Thank you again for everything!

Ashlee did my hair and makeup last year for a small intimate "covid" type wedding and then she did my hair and makeup again this past weekend for our larger wedding celebration! Both time my hair and makeup held up in the July heat and she did an amazing job!! :) Lisa was with her as well this time and did many of my bridesmaids hair and makeup and both women did an excellent job. Would recommend :)

The traveling stylist were amazing! They arrived early and finished all the hair/makeups for the moms, maids and bride ahead of schedule which helped keep my big day running smoothly. Everyone’s hair & makeup looked amazing. Highly recommend!

They did a great job with everyone's hair and I was very pleased with that. They also were accommodating and punctual. The problem I had was that one of my bridesmaids couldn't make it and I let them know well in advance. I had paid the full amount and asked if I could receive any type of a refund. I have asked a few times and never received a response either way. If not, at least I could receive an answer. Because of this, I am disappointed in the service.

They were very punctual. Friendly. Personable. Professional and most important - did a fabulous job! Highly recommend

Owners Lisa and Ashh saved the day for my daughter and her attendants! We were able to secure Cassidy and Chelsea basically at a moment’s notice…., a week before , our initial stylist double booked us and opted to bail on us!!!! Cassidy and Chelsea were very talented at their craft! They made absolute sure we were all satisfied with our looks! I would recommend not only Cassidy and Chelsea, but owners Lisa and Ashh to set you up with awesome professionals!

Working with the Traveling Stylists has been great! Carrie does an incredible job with hair and makes every attempt to make sure your hair looks exactly like you want it to! Anna is a rockstar at makeup! Myself and my bridesmaids all looked amazing for the big day!

Lisa and Ashlee came to the rescue with a last minute booking for hair and makeup for my wedding. They were such a joy to work with and we all couldn't have been happier with how great everything turned out.

Lisa and Ashlee did a wonderful job for my wedding on 5/1/22. They were timely, efficient, everything went smoothly. Myself and the rest of the bridal party were very happy with their hair and makeup. We opted to do photos before the wedding, so our hair and makeup was done hours before the ceremony. I was nervous about everything holding up but the hair and makeup all stayed unphased through the entire day and night. Thank you Lisa and Ashlee!

I booked Kerry from the Traveling Stylists 3 days before my wedding (after my other stylist dropped out). From the moment I frantically called, the Traveling Stylists were easy going and professional even under such a tight turnaround. These girls made our wedding day come to life exactly as we had hoped! The day presented some coordination challenges, including a change of locations midway through the day and a couple of last minute schedule changes, but the way you know you’re dealing with a stellar team is found in how they handle adversity - these girls took the challenges head-on with happy, positive attitudes and at the end of the day everything was ha fled with such grace! I cannot say enough about how willing they were to work with us and make those bumps feel seamless - from a Bride’s perspective, it goes a LONG way when you’re managing your own stress over all the things you are trying to coordinate, so that you can stay feeling as excited and happy about your special day as possible!! I highly recommend Lisa and Ashlee and their team to anyone looking for exceptional customer service and for stylists that will go the extra mile to achieve your dream look. ✨

I can’t recommend Lisa and her team enough! She came to my house the morning of my wedding to do my hair as well as two of my bridesmaids. She is funny, laid back and most importantly, so good at what she does! I had a kind of large, unorthodox flower crown that I wanted to wear and she created the perfect hairstyle to complement it. She took feedback on my makeup, stopping to check in with me about what I liked, if I wanted any changes, etc and I was so so happy with the final result. I felt like a Queen on my wedding day and owe a big part of that to the Traveling Stylists!

We cannot say enough about these guys! Our hairstylists dropped out last minute because of COVID and we called these stylists in panic and they were able to get us in and do the wedding party within a month's notice. We were so happy with how all of our looks turned out!

Lisa & Ashlee were amazing! They were timely, talented and fun to have around while we got ready! As someone with difficult thick curly hair, I was obviously nervous. Lisa did such an amazing job and made me look and feel beautiful! All of my bridesmaids were so happy and impressed that they got exactly what they wanted, and even better than they could have imagined! My hair stayed put all night and looked amazing in pictures. I would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for bridal hair!

Steph is absolutely amazing!!! I had a very specific vintage style in mind, and Steph completely nailed it at my trial. By the day of the wedding, I had decided to do an updo instead because of wind for my outdoor ceremony. Steph nailed the second look as well with no prior trial! She is so kind, fun, professional, calm, and a true artist. I will be recommending her to friends and family for years to come! Thank you so much, Steph!!!

I just got married and we were pleased with the artist, Ashlee. Everyone loved her and what she did for their hair. Our experience prior to the wedding day was a little annoying. I was originally promised that people getting their hair curled would be cheaper and was promised a cheaper travel fee. The travel fee was crazy for just one person traveling but I would gladly pay for that if it’s good work. Once I was emailed the invoice I was not given cheaper hair then told they only charge the one price for moms and bridesmaids. I sent pictures and descriptions of what they wanted and what their hair is like to make the experience faster and easier and the stylist didn’t know what anyone wanted when they came. When I tried to fix the price situation they gave everyone a small discount instead of just the people for getting their hair curled which is nice, but that was only $5 when a head of curled hair doesn’t take long and shouldn’t be $70. However the experience prior we were happy with the day of! I do recommend just make sure you get the pricing figured out and try to get everyone to do a trial to ignore this mishap.

I cannot recommend the Traveling Stylists highly enough. Lisa is a delight to work with and I am so glad that I hired her. From the initial emails and phone consultation, to the trial and my wedding day, Lisa was kind, professional, and incredibly easy to work with. She expertly replicated a hairstyle one of the bridesmaids presented a photo of, and created a beautiful style on the fly for one of the other girls who didn’t know what she wanted. She also created a beautiful and natural makeup look for my mother, who is nervous around makeup due to injuries from a car accident. She was compassionate and created a look that made my mother feel comfortable and more confident. I absolutely loved my hair and makeup look, both were exactly what I wanted. The makeup enhanced my look without making me look unrecognizable. The hair stayed lovely despite high winds. That is quite a feat considering my frizzy and temperamental hair. I am so happy with the results, and if you hire the Traveling Stylists for your wedding hair and makeup, I am absolutely sure you will be too.

I loved working with The Traveling Stylist. All of my girls felt comfortable getting ready and were super happy with how their hair and makeup turned out. I had the opportunity to work with Lisa who was super great during our trial and day of! She listened to all of my needs and made adjustments as we went along. I felt natural and beautiful!

AWESOME experience with this company on my wedding day. The trial was great, Steph did an AMAZING job on mine and the bridesmaids hair (and Lindsey on the other bridesmaids). Steph catered to exactly what I wanted and made sure I really loved it before I left for the church. They were funny and kept the mood light-hearted while we were getting ready the day of. I can't say enough about our experience with Steph and Lindsey and highly recommend them! :)

We could not say enough positive things about working with Steph and her team on our wedding day. My now wife and I contacted The Traveling Stylists several months before our wedding in a panic after we were unhappy with our hair & makeup trial with another salon. From our first phone conversation, Steph was understanding and reassuring. We quickly scheduled a trial and simply felt much more comfortable with her. Our hair and makeup both came out exactly the way we wanted during our trial and was absolutely perfect on our wedding day. Steph and her team were punctual and able to amazingly accommodate 11 females between our two bridal parties. Everyone looked amazing and was so happy with their work. They were all so friendly and so much fun to work with!!!

Lisa, Steph and team were incredible for our big day. They had the challenge of getting the bride, 16 bridesmaids, our officiant and mother of the bride ready. They did an amazing job and everyone was happy with both their hair and makeup. At my original trial, I found things I wanted to change- and Lisa was so accommodating, and found ways to make my hair perfect for the wedding day. The style lasted all night and into the morning, very impressive. Couldn't be happier with everything they did!

I can’t say enough great things about the Traveling Stylists. This past weekend they styled my wedding party. Stephanie and the girls were so prepared and flexible with our group of 11 people. She even scheduled everyone for hair and makeup by stylist and times days in advance so things went smoothly. We even had enough time to add in the 2 flower girls! Every stylist did an amazing job. The hair and makeup on my wedding party was incredible. Highly recommend!

Lisa and Stephanie are excellent. They came over to the hotel the morning of my wedding and it was fantastic. All of my girls loved their hair and I could not have been happier. They were super easy to work with and communication was quick and flawless.

Lisa and Steph did hair and makeup for myself, my 9 bridesmaids, and flower girls for my wedding. They did an EXCELLENT job. My wedding was the first one I've ever been in where the stylists weren't rushing to get people out the door last minute. They were organized, pleasant, and everyone looked fabulous. Would DEFINITELY recommend!
