Thank you so much Sarah and Deb at the Water Table for helping to make our wedding day amazing! We were married in October 2020, and the Water Table far exceeded our expectations. We fell in love with the room and the views immediately, and we received so many compliments from our family and friends. Sarah and Deb made the planning process easy and the entire day was perfect and stress free! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to say I Do! Thank you so much!
My husband and I renewed our vowels for our 35th wedding anniversary in October 2020. We ended up having a small affair due to Covid restrictions. No matter, everything turned out beautiful. The coordinators Sarah and Deb were delightful to work with and very knowledgeable. The venue itself is on Rudee Inlet with spectacular water views. Lots of ambiance. Rental price very reasonable. Would recommend highly.
I am beyond grateful for The WaterTable! They helped our dream wedding come true.
Just had aViewing with the water table yesterday and was amazed how things turned out. Minutes after the viewing we signed a contract for our wedding. The customer service was amazing they were helpful it wasn’t about money and it was all about our family‘s needs and wants. I will highly recommend the place to anyone that has any type of engagements going on. We can’t wait for our Wedding day!
Words cannot describe how amazed and happy I was with our selection of the Water Table. When I did my research, I secretly hoped the Water Table was going to be the one I picked, and I’m so happy it was after my other tours I had of other venues. My husband and I absolutely love all things water related, so the venue was the perfect fit for our personalities. Additionally, neither of us are from the area and had a lot of guests travel for the wedding. It provided those guests an amazing picturesque beach venue. I booked the Water Table before a deployment and when I returned, my original contact was no longer on staff, but Deb, the owner, did a fabulous job about taking care of all my concerns and requests. We ended up having 190 guests and Deb was so helpful in ensuring that the venue’s space and capacity met my needs and wants. They did such an amazing job that with the cooperation of my photographer, DJ, and caterer, we were able to for go a day of coordinator. If you want a wedding by the beach and not on the beach- this is the venue for you! I now look forward to the day I can be a guest at a wedding here.
The Water Table was hands down everything I dreamed it could be as my venue on our wedding day!! Working with Karen was an amazing experience. She is professional, She knows exactly every detail even things you wouldn’t think of she’s got your back also in a very caring way she really knows what she is doing. That was HUGE for me because there is nothing worse then a wedding not starting on time or not keeping a nice flow of things and that is still being complimented from our guests about our time at The Water Table. Everything about The Water Table was PERFECT!!! The views, the professionalism and care from Karen and Debbie I just can’t say enough good about it. You should look no where else for your wedding venue!!
My daughter and her fiancee selected the Water Table for their wedding and reception, and we could not have been any happier with the venue. They were married on the lawn, held the cocktail hour on the deck, followed by dinner and dancing on the top floor. The views were absolutely stunning and did not require large sums of money for decorations. The natural beauty of the marina was fantastic - especially at night.
Debbie was genuinely great to work with. She was very sweet and helped us through every detail of the planning. She made suggestions, but was never pushy. She made suggestions when needed, and she helped in any way she could. She even met with us at the caterers to go over the last details.
My daughter called the next day and said her wedding "seemed like a fairy tale." The guests also called and texted to rave about the experience and the venue. I highly recommend The Water Table to anyone looking for a wedding venue.
Karen was absolutely professional, friendly, and had a wonderful sense of humor! The Water Table was perfect for our nautical theme with the beautiful views of Rudee's Inlet and the marina. We rented the entire building, having our ceremony downstairs, cocktail hour outside on the deck and lawn, and reception upstairs. Karen was able to help make our wedding dreams come true by helping to plan and set up the chairs, tables, and decor. Karen met with us on several occasions to allow us to get a better vision of how things would run and look. Because no one had booked the venue the afternoon before, we were able to meet there to set up decorations and have a rehearsal to ensure our ceremony would run smoothly. Karen was certainly a major part of our gorgeous wedding, and we cannot say thank you enough!
If you want a laid back style reception where guests can enjoy the bay and boats, be outside on the lawn, or inside dancing then the water table is perfect for you. Everyone raved about the venue and the good time they had hanging out outside and the beautiful scenery. The water table is great and you will not be disappointed!
Deb and Karen were absolutely amazing and extremely professional. Karen set us up in the beginning and Deb made everything easy during our wedding. It was everything we ever dreamed of and more. Thank you for such a seamless experience.
Beautiful venue. Amazing view. Out of town guests loved it too.
The venue is beautiful, however an hour before my best friend's wedding ceremony, the owner/event planner Deb was giving tours to other potential clients. The bride was stressed because Deb was not available to set up for the wedding and the bridesmaids were sweating profusely while running around to set up right before the ceremony. Deb also asked some members of the bridal party to move things for her between the ceremony and reception. So while she was not available to set up like she said she would be before the ceremony because she was giving tours to other people, even in our spaces being used to get dressed and ready, she then put the bridal party to work before the reception. She also left midway through the reception. It seems the venue is solely for profit and not for service to paying wedding couples.
My husband and I had our wedding reception here about a month ago and it was awesome!!! The location was perfect- it was right on the inlet and away from the busy streets. I wanted a beach theme with views of the water all around and this was the spot for it. Also, the room was HUGE! We had the top floor where there were floor to ceiling windows, so there was a lot of natural light and beautiful views of the water. The cocktail hour was out on the lawn which was beautiful as well. The dance floor was large, the bathrooms were nice (including the dressing room), the bar was set in the perfect spot, etc, this place had it all!! Another plus was the parking lot especially since it was near the beach; it was big enough for all guests. There was no need to park on street or pay for parking.
We worked with Karen, who was great at coordinating with all the other vendors which made our wedding day PERFECT!!! She was very responsiveness, professional, and super excited about planning our big day with us. Pior to the wedding, we had a “logistics meeting” where she, my husband and I, and other vendors got together to go everything. I liked that very much, I didn’t have to stress about anything after that knowing they all had it under control. On the day of the wedding, she was there to make sure everything went smoothly and did a great job. We had about 150 guests come and all were comfortable and happy throughout the day. Our guests are STILL talking about how gorgeous it was!!
I would recommend this venue to any bride and groom. You’re able to choose your own theme, vendors, and basically make it all yours. Luckily all the vendors we chose have worked together before and allowed us to have the best day ever here. Everything that I had visualized for my wedding reception was a dream come true. The Water Table will always be a special place to us, I am so happy we stumbled across it. Thank you for everything, Karen and the rest of the Water Table team!!! :)
Amazing! Literally looked like something from a fairy tail when the room was decorated and lit up. Karen, is THE BEST! Super easy to work with, helpful and comforting, when she says she has it.. she means she has it! My wedding day went so smoothly! First and last venue we looked at, don't go anywhere else it's all at the Water Table!
Unique, comfortable & classy !
We couldn't be happier with the way that our wedding reception turned out at The Watertable! Karen did a phenomenal job throughout that the last few months making sure our special day was perfect! We fell in love with the stunning waterfront property the moment we saw it! We knew that this venue was perfect for a fantastic celebration! Karen went above and beyond to make sure that we had all the amenities and ideas to create the happiest day! Our guests raved over the beautiful setting and superb location. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a smooth, hassle free experience! Thank you Karen for a wonderful once in a lifetime experience.
When we walked in to this venue we knew right away this was where we were going to celebrate our 'best day ever'. We worked with Karen and she was there every step of the way. When it came to the day of, she made sure everything went as it should and we could not of asked for a more perfect day. We rented the downstairs because we loved the covered deck. It was a beautiful setting and the perfect amount of space for our guests. We also used the lawn for the ceremony and it was absolutely beautiful. I was worried at first it being on a marina and there being background noise and boats passing but we did not experience any of that. I highly recommend The Water Table to anyone wanting a beach/water setting!
I recently had my wedding (both ceremony and reception) here, and I have to say that I was absolutely blown away by the professionalism, ease of communication, and responsiveness, along with the simple but elegant beauty of the venue overall. Karen was an absolute angel the entire time throughout planning and execution on the day itself. I had to do all planning from Florida where my husband and I are currently stationed, and the relief I had was completely because of Karen. She helped me make sure I had everything that I needed, gave me advice, and was usually one step ahead on what needed to be done and had suggestions readily available. It is a breathtakingly GORGEOUS venue and is very adaptable regardless of what the weather ends up doing, or with your choice of theme and decor. The views of the marina added a wonderful backdrop, and made decorating easy. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride that is searching, and would greatly recommend working with Karen. She was quick to answer any questions and is so sweet and helpful. If I had to do it all again, I would keep it the same, and wouldn't dream of changing a thing. Their preferred vendors (I used Sweetwater Cuisine) work amazingly well with them, know the venue and what to do, which makes your wedding day an absolute breeze and leaves you to be able to just breathe and enjoy your day!
I love this venue!! We looked at several options for our wedding. I always envisioned a winery wedding but my fiancé really wanted a beach wedding. To compromise, we transformed this venue with some rustic touches and still had all the beauty of the water! This venue is classic, clean, and well-run. Karen was so helpful, positive, and a complete joy to work with. The venue can be a blank canvas for whatever you imagine. The biggest perks for me were the long rental time and BYOB. Also, their caterer options are top notch (especially east beach catering!!). If I had my wedding day again I wouldn't change a thing!! Thank you to the Watertable and Karen for making the day perfect!
The Watertable was AWESOME!! We rented the upstairs venue for a fall wedding and it was perfect. Our cocktail hour was out on the back lawn over looking the water/boats which was beautiful and when we went inside for dinner we have the perfect view of the sun setting just in prep for dinner. The ambiance was so pretty and we were very happy with our choice. The staff is also awesome to work with, Karen went above and beyond always to make herself available when we needed her during the process. We would recommend this venue to anyone, perfect spot for a party that you may want to invite 200 of your closest friends to!!
I got married there in late October 2015. The venue was beautiful. We lucked out and had beautiful weather and were able to take georgeous pictures outside before the wedding. The staff was so helpful. Their vendor selection was great and affordable. I would highly recommend.
Karen at The Water Table will sell you the dream - having her to help coordinate your wedding. Then, she will make you wait until the last minute to coordinate the weddings details.
Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful space. But not being able to coordinate logistics until 3 weeks before the wedding was somewhat of a nightmare. Finding out then when we would be able to come in and decorate sent my coordinators into a tailspin with needing to rearrange their work schedules around Karen's availability.
This place epitomizes the concept of doing as much business as possible with minimal overhead. At $3300, my service expectation was pretty high. At the very least, I expected someone to be prompt and available to answer my questions, meet at the space, and prioritize my event. The two ladies that run it are pretty much only available for new business. Returning calls? Not a strong suit.
Don't book the downstairs for any more than 150 guests if you plan on doing any dancing.
Don't make any plans with your vendors until you do your logistics meeting.
Don't count on the "staff" of two to prioritize scheduling your logistics meeting. You will have to hunt them down for everything until it's time for your second deposit to be made... And best believe they will find you.
Don't let your wedding party know that the bridal suite has an entrance from the women's bathroom or you will have men in the women's stalls all evening. And don't let Karen talk you into having your processional through the bathroom either.
Don't ask to use the marquee. The staff won't make that happen.
About a year ago when I was looking for venues with my parents and husband to be, Deb Davis the owner of the Water Table made it an easy choice. Although the first floor had not been renovated yet, we were dazzled by the upstairs and confident that the downstairs would also wow us. We were sure glad we did! On October 10th we held our wedding at the Water Table which in our eyes is the perfect venue. We utilized the upstairs for the ceremony, which has floor to ceiling windows on two walls that overlook the Rudee inlet. The ceilings are vaulted with beautiful chandeliers, and the wall and décor gives a neutral "rustic chic" look. The venue is the perfect slate to fit any style! The downstairs was just as impressive, and where we held our reception. It opens to a covered deck that we utilized during cocktail hour, and throughout the remainder of the night. I cannot stress enough how accommodating Deb Davis was throughout the entire process of planning to the very day of our wedding. All of our guests enjoyed themselves, and we had ample room to dine and dance! This venue truly is the best space to have a wedding, and there is not a single thing we would have changed about it!
We recently held our daughter's wedding and reception at The Water Table. The venue offers two spaces for events, and we decided to use both! The upstairs offered the perfect rustic elegance for the ceremony, with beautiful views of Rudee Inlet. The downstairs space was very comfortable for dinner and dancing, with additonal space on the covered porch for cocktail hour and late night mingling. Prior to the ceremony, the bridal party enjoyed the use of the beautiful bridal suite. Working with Deb Davis thoroughout the planning process was a joy. Her expertise with wedding events was tremendously helpful and she was gunuinely excited with our vision for personal touches. I would highly recommend using this venue for a wedding event.
Karen was wonderful to work with, she took a huge amount of stress out of wedding planning. She quickly answered all of my questions, and offered suggestions! The Water table has a great dance floor, reception space, and different options for the ceremony. The venue itself is so beautiful, but it offers lots of spaces and areas to decorate. I would highly recommend the Water Table for anyone looking for a venue!
We got married this July at The Water Table in Virginia Beach! We absolutely loved everything! From the day we toured the venue we knew it was perfect. The ladies working there were extremely helpful from day one. They were constantly checking in to see if we needed anything, and accommodated all of our requests! The venue overlooks the marina, and has gorgeous views from the upstairs window filled room. It was absolutely perfect and we couldn't have been happier!
I had my wedding reception here on April 25, 2015. We rented the upstairs portion of the venue complete with a stone fireplace and the views overlooking Rudee Inlet are gorgeous. More than enough room for our guests and a great dance floor. The decor is perfect and we barely needed any extras. I just can't say enough about the attentive and NICE staff. The Special Events Manager is Karen Feller - and she went the extra mile and made the entire process easy and pleasant. Highly Recommend this AWESOME venue!!!
The reception was gorgeous in the Water Table, and I would definitely give the venue two thumbs up, it was a beautiful room with a beautiful view even at night and it can be personalized however you might want. Karen was great to work with, she provided me with great service from our first meeting. I can't imagine having had my wedding anywhere else, and the only reason I didn't give it a full row of five stars was because it was fairly expensive. Worth it though!
I used The Water Table this weekend with one of my brides (as I am a wedding coordinator). The Venue is fabulous and not to mention Deb Davis was such a pleasure and a joy to work with. The Water Table has so much to offer and is a great venue to work with! I will definitely be referring more of my brides here!
Everything about The Water Table was amazing! We lucked out having beautiful September weather and were able to enjoy it during the cocktail hour on the outdoor lawn overlooking the Rudee Inlet marina. Everything from the view, the gazebo bar, passed hors d'oueurves (made by Chef by Design!), steel drum, and perfect backdrop for photos made the cocktail hour so fun! And then, when we walked inside and upstairs to the reception, we were totally blown away - it truly was magical!!! Karen, the on-site event coordinator, did a spectacular job of making sure every detail was taken care of. We had met with her a few weeks before the wedding, along with the caterer (Chef By Design) and our "day of" coordinator, and Karen was so professional and gave us some great final decorating ideas - showing us sample pictures and ensuring us that she would be there the day of the wedding to make sure everything was set up just right! And it was!!! Between her, the caterer (who I also can't say enough about!), and our "Day Of" coordinator, they nailed it!!! My daughter and son-in-law loved everything about it and our guests continue to rave about it! We had about 125 guests and there was plenty of room, but it also was a very intimate setting, which we loved!!! Highly recommend this venue! You can even have your wedding there and they'll flip the room for you if you'd like. That was our rain back-up plan as we had an outdoor service at a park, but as it turns out, the weather was beautiful. We did feel this would have still worked out well though. And we loved the fact that we could provide our own alcohol and setups - saved a lot of money this way! Just needed to get an on-site ABC license which was inexpensive and easy, and our caterer provided the bartenders. Such a great evening!!!
I loved The Water Table! Everything about it was stunning. The moment I walked into the room I knew this was the place for our wedding. The details from the dock to the dance floor were so classy and effortless. Deb, the owner, is fantastic and has excellent taste. She was so easy to get a hold of! She has a great heart and a true passion to help her brides get the most out of their big day with as little stress as possible. As a bride, I was impressed with the personal care and attention she invested in myself and my groom. The legalistic meeting that they require you to have (with the venue, caterer, and you/ the bride) was so helpful. They helped put all the pieces together for me and took away all of my worry. Deb offered her advice and expertise to help me get the best use of our space and our vendors.... and did so with my budget in mind. I could go on and on about how fantastic this venue is and how I received so many compliments on the venue and the space, but I want you to know that the best part of this venue (besides the view) are the people that come with it. One of the last things I saw walking out of the venue on our wedding night was Deb standing by our friends giving us a grand farewell. She wanted to see that we were taken care of all they way up until we got in the limo. She and her staff truly took great care of my husband and I.
Thank you Water Table and Staff!
The Water Table was the perfect location for our wedding. We got married in August, which is a very busy time down at the beach. We were looking for something in our budget and on the water and this was the perfect fit. One of the best parts was being able to have both the ceremony and reception in the same spot. We also were allowed to bring in our own alcohol which helped with some costs on catering. Overall if we were to do it all over again I would still choose this venue.
My husband and I knew we'd found the right venue as soon as we walked in the first time. The Water Table is beautiful! So easy to make your own with decorations, spacious, great lighting and an incredible view. We had both our ceremony and reception here and they were perfect. Deb and Karen are great to work with, and it's much more affordable than the hotels on the strip, but so convenient for hotels. Highly recommend it!
I helped my daughter find the perfect venue and we knew nothing about Virginia beach, but wanted the wedding to be on the water. We fell in love with The Water Table but quickly learned it was very difficult and overwhelming dealing with necessary vendors. We were on the verge of cancelling and having the wedding in our home town until we found Primo Events. They really helped us plan a great wedding even though we were in California the whole time. Ron and his entire team(Caterer, Photographer, Florist, DJ, Officiant) were all kind professional and great at responding to emails and phone calls. I would have had a seriously hard time keeping things together without this amazing company! The Water table is so beautiful. I would HIGHLY recommend this combination of venue and Primo Event folks for anyone who doesn't live locally.
I booked The Water Table for my reception and couldn't have been happier with the venue. It was absolutely beautiful with the fireplace going and all of the windows overlooking the water. There was plenty of room for all of the guests, a great dance floor, and a lounge area in front of the fireplace. Deb is pretty difficult to get a hold of; fortunately my wedding planner would call her when I couldn't get Deb to return my calls and emails. Otherwise I have nothing but good things to say about this place.
This is the perfect venue! It has a little bit of everything and an amazing view of Rudee Inlet. Deb and her staff were so great to work with and were super flexible and worked with our requests. I loved getting married in front of the gorgeous fireplace in a very intimate ceremony, yet we changed things up for cocktail hour by having outside on the dock. Our guests just loved the flow and feel of the space. It's the best location if you want to give your guests a taste of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. It's also a great backdrop for photos too. I was over the moon with everything!!!
Perfect for an itimate wedding! Deb is also great to work with, and the price is right!
This wedding venue was perfect for us. The Water Table has both an indoor event space and a lawn outside. We so badly wanted to be near the water, but not fret too much over the weather on the day... so this place worked out perfectly. We had our ceremony upstairs, did a cocktail hour on the lawn and then came back upstairs for dinner and the reception. It was positively beautiful... the afternoon sun came in at just the right angle during the ceremony and we got to see the harbor all light up in the evening... fantastic. Not to mention our amazing wedding coordinator on site, Deb Davis. She was superb. Very helpful and knowledgeable about local vendors, huge help on the day of the wedding also.
All around my experience there was amazing. There is a bit more work on the bride's shoulders because you need to find your own caterer and do rentals for the linens and what not, but we loved that. We got to tailor the place exactly the way we wanted it and it was awesome. We loved it, our guests loved it, the vendors even loved it!!!! I highly recommend the Water Table for a wedding.
