If you are looking a bridal salon with top designers, good price point, aesthetically pleasing with great customer service, please go straight to The Wedding Factor! My consultant was Amber and when I tell you this woman is nothing short of amazing. It is always a pleasure to work with somebody who is not only knowledgeable, but has a genuine love and passion for what they do because they tend to go above and beyond, and that is exactly what she did. Prior to the appointment we spoke on the phone for over an hour. She listened to all my do's and don'ts, all my concerns regarding what would look I was aiming for to fit my venue, my style, etc. When I came in, she did a very quick review of what we discussed and went right to work. Before coming here, I went to another bridal salon that I had to pick out my own dresses, that was not the case at The Wedding Factor. Amber went straight down and returned with five of the most gorgeous dresses I've ever seen . It only took 4 tries before my family and I were in tears and I said YES TO THE DRESS!!!! I honestly did not think I would find my dress so soon. I had plans on going to New York to different bridal salons but after my appointment I canceled all my other appointments. I cannot recommend The Wedding Factor enough and definitely ask for Amber!
Recently had an appointment to search for my wedding dress at Wedding Factor. The boutique overall is very nice, clean, and organized. My bridal consultant was Amber. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience with her. Initially the appointment started off okay. Because there was no opportunity to browse the dresses ourselves, we relied on Amber and inspiration pictures and descriptions I would show her. After trying on about 3 dresses I explained what I did and didn't like about the dresses. Her responses were "well can you get past that?" some- sure, but some- no. I then asked if they had any dresses that had x-y-z about them. Her response was "well then you're asking for a custom-made dress out of your price range." Myself, MOB, and MOG all felt extremely uncomfortable after those comments.
She then asked our plans for the rest of the day and we stated we were going to another bridal shop in the area. Her response was "hmm. oh yeah, you'll be back." Additionally, she stated she would take all photos and at the end of the appointment send them to me for review. I still have not received the photos and emailed requesting them still without a response. Since my experience here, I have found that although a friend of mine did find her dream dress here, she had a very similar experience with this consultant. I would not like to deter people from going to The Wedding Factor, but I would probably recommend asking for a different consultant.
I had a great experience and FOUND MY DRESS with Amber at The Wedding Factor! I had been to two bridal shops already and was pretty certain about what style and shape I was looking for, but hadn't found "the one" yet -- I had kind of accepted the fact that I might not feel that special feeling with any dress. Thank god for Amber and The Wedding Factor! Not only does the shop have a HUGE selection, but Amber really listened to what I was saying and understood my vision. Within three dresses, we'd found the one and got to celebrate with champagne! I'd highly recommend The Wedding Factor and Amber to any Philly-area brides looking for their dress!
If you're looking for dresses, go here first!!! The Wedding Factor has an amazing selection of dresses! Every dress I tried on was gorgeous. Angel helped me find my wedding dress and my reception dress and she is AMAZING!! Definitely ask for her if you go here. In both cases, I ended up buying the very first dress I tried on (though I did try on other dresses too just to be sure hehe)! Angel is amazing at picking out gorgeous dresses that are your style and will look amazing on your body type. I am absolutely obsessed with my wedding dresses and can't wait to get married in them! Could not recommend this place more!!
Lucinda was an amazing bridal stylist! She made sure that I had a great experience trying on dresses. She listened to my feedback and what I liked to ensure that each dress I tried on took me closer to my dream dress! Due to the Wedding Factor's inclusive dress sizes, I felt confident and comfortable as a plus-size bride trying on dresses. So thankful to the team for helping me find my dress AND completing my alterations for an easy end-to-end experience.
I was able to find my dream Berta wedding gown after trying on only 3 other dresses! Everyone at The Wedding Factor made saying "yes" to the dress so easy!
Unfortunately, this was my worst wedding gown shopping experience and maybe I just had a bad day and the person I worked with had a bad day. I didn’t feel like I was being listened to, and I also felt that all of the gowns that were brought out were extremely unflattering. I am curvy but I certainly have areas that can be accentuated that are particularly flattering as other stores did. Again, this could’ve just been my experience and it could’ve just been an off day for everybody. Range of prices was reasonable.
I love this bridal boutique! Lucy was incredible and listened to what my vision was. She made me feel like a princess and found the piece I never thought I needed… the VEIL! The experience was memorable, easy and one that every bride needs to experience.
I cannot rave about Lucy (Lucinda) and my experience at The Wedding Factor enough. I was having a really tough time finding a dress that felt like me, and Lucy was so patient and didn't try to sell me on anything. I was close to giving up when she grabbed a dress and showed me her vision for making it strapless – it was perfect! Lucy was so thorough when she walked me through the custom dress process / ordering so I felt comfortable and informed before I left the shop. I could go on and on about my experience – 100% recommend!
The day I found my wedding dress was incredible, but everything that happened once and after purchasing went incredibly down hill. Photos show my sample versus the dress they encouraged me to size up in.
I had tried on a mermaid dress that fit my body perfectly, I was pushed to go a size up and the team promised they would contour the dress to hug my body with their master seamstress. Despite multiple appointments, the dress was baggy and bulgy in all the areas a mermaid dress shouldn’t be. (Photos of sample and actually dress provided)
I initially told our salesperson I didn’t want to size up, but I was talked in circles to be convinced otherwise. When I came in for my seamstress appointments the experience completely changed. The seamstress wouldn’t speak a word to us when we initially arrived, she was extremely unfriendly. As was the team that coordinated my seamstress appointments. It was like once the sale was made the friendliness stopped. We were devastated over it and so uncomfortable. It was a night and day experience from initial try ons to getting the dress altered.
Not only that, but the sized up dress was too large despite multiple appointments. The seamstress would huff and puff about the dress being to loose and falling down on me below the waist. Each time we asked for the dress to be taken in we were received with backlash that it would be too tight—but it was a mermaid dress that was hanging off of me. It’s important to note I didn’t lose any weight, I’m on medicine that actually stabilizes my body weight so that wasn’t there the case. It was simply their team encouraged me to buy a dress too big despite not needing too.
Where it was taken in you could see the fabric bulges and it made the dress so much heavier. On my wedding day, the dress was hanging off of me in my hips and legs and was baggy in areas that a mermaid dress shouldn’t be. It didn’t hug me like the sample in my size.
We had multiple appointments to try to fix this and it broke my heart they just didn’t allow me to purchase the size that fit my body better.
The sample dress photos show that the floor sample snatched and hugged my body so beautifully (and yes I could sit fine) but on on my wedding day, this was not the case with the larger dress. The seamstress just could not deliver and I shouldn’t have been up sold to go up a size so they could profit off the seamstress appointments. I’ve worn mermaid dresses before and the bagginess below the waist never happened like this. Below I have two photos of the sample dress that was my size and then the wedding dress that was the size up that was extremely baggy.
Wedding culture has REALLY taken off over the past 15 years and one of the most-highlighted aspects is The Dress. While I was excited to go dress shopping, I've never been one of those brides who dreams about her wedding day her whole life. I didn't want to spend weeks or months looking for The Dress - I wanted to find The Dress in one day. A pretty loaded goal for any wedding dress store, but The Wedding Factor (TWF) was JUST the place to help me achieve this goal. When I arrived with my mom, MOH, and MOH's mom, we were first in a cloud of happiness, the dresses displayed are *gorgeous* and the shop gave an instant feel of luxury. We were taken to the dressing room where I worked with consultant Lucinda/Lucy. Lucinda is without a doubt a wedding dress FAIRY GODMOTHER. I came to TWF for a specific dress designer trunk show but quickly learned that the style I thought I wanted was not the style that I felt the most comfortable in. Lucinda picked up on my unhappy vibes pretty quickly and when we decided to make a change, she brought in 5 stunning ballgowns. I immediately pointed to one and Lucinda helped me put it on right away. Some brides feel 'butterflies' when they find The Dress, but I instantly felt a wave of calm. It was right. It was The Dress. My bride crew and I had another appointment scheduled for later the same day at a different store, and while we stopped by, the experience was night and day. We immediately returned to TWF and I bought The Dress. Lucinda and TWF were professional and supportive. I never felt pressured to buy, I just felt guided and supported through an emotional time. This professionalism did not stop when I bought the dress but continued when the dress was ordered, shipped, delivered, and picked up. Not only that, but I got an email from Lucinda on my wedding day which just showed how TWF goes above and beyond to make every bride feel special (even those of us who haven't been dreaming of our wedding day since childhood). I could not recommend The Wedding Factor more (especially Lucinda) as the GO-TO place to get your wedding dress.
I had the absolute best experience at The Wedding Factor! Sarah was my stylist and she understood exactly what I was looking for. She listened to what I liked and looked at my inspiration pictures and knew how to find the perfect dress and structure for my body type and had so many ideas to make the dress my own. I didn't have a ton of time to get a dress and The Wedding Factor was able to rush the dress for me which truly changed my entire bridal experience and made me so excited to wear my dress on my wedding day. I felt absolutely beautiful in my dress on the day and it was comfortable and I was able to dance all night! I had my alterations done at The Wedding Factor as well and it was some of the best service and detail I have ever received. They do absolutely beautiful work and have an amazing selection of dresses. I could not have been happier with my dress!
My experience started out great as the shop is beautiful and there were tons of dresses in my price range to try on. Lucy was very understanding of my style and put me in a variety of dresses. I thought I found the perfect dress but needed some customizations. I thought everything was going to turn out perfectly....fast forward to receiving my dress. My dress was NOT what I was expecting and the wedding factor took little responsibility in why this happened. I felt as though the customizations were not clearly explained to me as what I received in the mail was certainly not my vision. Recommend the store for their options but be sure to ask many questions if customizing!
The Wedding Factor is a beautiful store and has a huge selections of amazing gowns. I was instantly under the impression that nothing was going to be in my price range (max $2500), but the associate I worked with did an amazing job picking out perfect dresses that weren't only in my price range, but actually much more affordable than I was anticipating. The woman I worked with (I forget her name!) also did an amazing job making me feel comfortable. I was having a hard time seeing myself in a form fitting dress because most of the samples were too small and I felt like a sausage in casing, but she made sure to find form fitting dresses in my size or larger so I could get a better idea of what my body would look like in that silhouette. I really appreciated it.
My main reason for not giving them a full 5-stars is that they dont allow you to take photos in the gowns. I was unclear if it was a designer-driven policy, or the store's policy, but it was a major inconvenience. There were so many dresses I liked, and I was having a hard time ranking them, that having photos to refer back to would've been a huge help. One of my bridesmaids was literally drawing silhouettes of the gowns and taking notes so I could keep everything straight. I ended up not buying my dress from them, which was probably for the best because after seeing a photo one of my girlfriend's snuck of my favorite dress from WF, I realized it did not look as good in the photos as I would have hoped.
But aside from the photo policy, their team is really fantastic and their selection was the best I had seen after trying 5 other stores.
Had the best time shopping here! Lucy was absolutely phenomenal and helped me find my reception dress (and my mom found her MOB dress here too)! Highly, highly recommend.
The Wedding Factor and their amazing bridal associate Sarah made saying yes to my dress a breeze. I would highly recommend
- 11/10 !
I truly cannot say enough about this wedding dress store. I had the BEST experience finding my dress here. Iris was the sweetest person to work with and all the girls at the store are just amazing. I received so many compliments on my dress during my wedding day. They also offer cleaning and preserving as well. If you are looking for STUNNING and unique wedding gowns, this is your place.
Iris and the whole team at the wedding factor were amazing. They had a variety of different styles and designers. I was able to try on all sorts of dresses and ultimately find my dream dress. I could not recommend them enough. Such a positive experience!
The Wedding Factor was the second bridal store I went to and I was blown away by how perfect the experience was. First off, the store was remarkably clean, and their covid protocols made me and my family feel safe. Second, the actual process was so streamlined and made dress shopping feel like an event. You stand on a pedestal while trying on dresses and your saleswoman takes the time to perfectly clip the dress to your body making sure there aren't weird bunches or other quirks. There's a curtain which separates you from your guests, and with each dress you try on the curtain is swooped aside to show the option to whomever is accompanying you. These little factors made a huge difference, but the key was the two associates I worked with - Lucy and Michele. Both were absolute delights, upbeat and genuinely excited about helping me find the perfect dress. But they also went above and beyond to make sure I found EXACTLY what I was looking for. It was clear that they closely read my profile information ahead of time and already had a few great picks in mind. But every time I tried on a dress they pinpointed exactly what I did and didn't like and altered the selections based on that. It didn't take long for me to find the one, and even though I was pretty certain, Lucy and Michele were totally fine with me trying on several more dresses just in case. Once I was 100% set on my dress, Lucy and Michele put the icing on the cake by identifying the perfect veil to match. I ended the shopping trip with the knowledge that I found my perfect dress and a champagne toast for me, my mom, and my brother. This was the perfect experience, and if a close friend or family member was getting married I would steer them right to the Wedding Factor.
The Wedding Factor has yet to disappoint! My sister was able to find her perfect wedding dress with Iris 3 years ago, so without hesitation I booked my one and only appointment here too! After booking booking my appointment over the phone I was asked to email my budget and a few pictures to help ease the selection. Iris pulled a total of 6 dresses and dress number 3 was the one I took home! Iris was nothing but professional and made sure (behind the curtain) that I was comfortable with each dress price before trying them on. Her words “I would hate for you to fall in love with a dress you can’t afford.” With her help, I did fall in love with the perfect dress, for me! I am so obsessed with my dress that I cannot stop staring at the photos! Not only was Iris exceptional, the entire staff was amazing. They made me feel as if I were walking into my girl friends house to try on dresses!
Was just here for my sisters wedding dress and has a fantastic experience with Iris!!! She actually helped me find my dress 3 years ago and was able to help my sister this weekend too! I was impressed with the new location and how they were prepared for Covid.
The store was exceptionally clean, we all were temperature checked, filled a waiver and washed hands before heading to the fitting room.
Iris had hand selected dresses based on what my sister had sent her and made the decision extremely difficult, but in the end we left with the perfect dress! The entire team working that day were friendly and professional! Highly recommend.
I had a wonderful time at Wedding Factor with my consultant, Lucy. She spent some time getting to know me in the beginning and seemed to really understand my style. She also helped me narrow my style by pulling a few dresses that were a little but of a stretch. In the process of finding my dress, she was the only one able to put me in multiple dresses that I loved! To top it all off, the space was beautiful! I would absolutely recommend Wedding Factor.
The Wedding Factor Salon was amazing. They had a wonderful selection and variety of beautiful gowns. The consultants went above and beyond to make sure my daughter found the perfect dress! Michelle’s customer service was unbelievable and Iris went out of her way to help out as well. They made such an important day truly amazing. Thanks so much!!
I could never say enough positive things about Kathy and the ladies at The Wedding Factor. I will forever cherish all the memories and experiences surrounding my wedding and the process of planning, and an enormous part of the reason for that is The Wedding Factor. I did extensive research on area wedding planners before putting them at the top of my list, so I knew to expect a very high level of quality service and a serious eye for elegant and high-end, but still cutting-edge, wedding design. I also knew to expect someone who was incredibly organized and in control, and who could stand as my physical representative in the planning process (I was several states away in school for the majority of the time, so I needed someone who would be able to accommodate my schedule and to work with me through phone and email to decipher my wishes). However, there were two additional things provided by The Wedding Factor that I did not anticipate, and that caused my wedding day to truly exceed my expectations.
First, they have THE BEST NETWORK OF VENDORS in the Philadelphia area (part of how they do this is by casting a net far outside of Philadelphia--many of the vendors we ended up choosing came down from NYC!). I was blown away by each person Kathy introduced us to, not only in terms of their quality of work, but significantly, in terms of the PRICE we were quoted for the services. If we had not worked with The Wedding Factor, there is no question we wouldn't have met half of the vendors we used, and even if we had, we certainly wouldn't have been able to negotiate such a great price point!! Therefore, if you, like me, are a bride who wants a lot more from her wedding than it seems her budget can afford, The Wedding Factor is a MUST for achieving your vision without busting your piggy bank.
The second awesome aspect of working with The Wedding Factor that I didn't anticipate, was the extent to which I and my family felt truly cared for and loved by them. A wedding is such an important time in your life that you will never forget it, and working with people who ended up feeling like family was very special. It was an intimate level of customer service that I have never experienced before, but after the fact, I cannot imagine what my wedding would have been like without it. Every bride goes through points at which she is too emotional to be rational, and I cannot tell you how much easier it is for a bridezilla to be soothed when her wedding planner truly understands and truly cares. Any problem I had, no matter how ridiculous, from the first day of planning to the wedding day, was dealt with immediately and sensitively. I appreciate that that is a luxury that most brides do not get to experience.
Obviously, I cannot say enough about how satisfied I was with The Wedding Factor on many different levels. But in the end, I think pictures can say far more than I could here. So please feel free to look at the pictures from my absolutely gorgeous wedding (http://www.flickr.com/photos/floundersconlon/sets/) as an example of what The Wedding Factor is capable of achieving. I also highly recommend visiting The Wedding Factor website and blog to see pictures of other weddings they have done to get a sense of how personalized each event is.
Happy Planning!!
Katy and her team were so amazing! My husband and I both had very hectic schedules and so we needed a full service wedding planner. What we received with The Wedding Factor was worth every single penny and just the best experience that we could have possibly had with a planner.
Katy and her team went ABOVE AND BEYOND what we expected - from helping us find our wedding venue, rentals, limos to suggesting locations to purchase my dress to even helping us pick out our wedding favors and packaging for it - They were amazing.
They helped to plan every single detail of our wedding down to the tiniest one and made the entire process as stress free as possible allowing us to have an enjoyable wedding planning experience and a wonderful stress free wedding day.
I cannot recommend The Wedding Factor any more highly! If I were to grade them I would give them 11 out of 10 stars and an A+++++ recommendation.
Katy has impeccable taste and a network of great, reliable and trustworthy vendors. She is truly the best full service wedding planner in Philadelphia and it's surrounding areas hands down.
