I try and make it a rule not necessarily engage in “on line” interaction, and try deal with disagreements in person … but you chose not to do that! You simply went ahead and posted a very misleading and in many areas false review. I am forced therefore to respond on line. The day before rehearsal I’m getting emails from my vendors saying they don’t know what’s going on. This is after Sarah tells me she will handle vendor contact. If she couldn’t handle it, I had no problem taking care of it. This is a disingenuous statement. In fact I have a copy of a text message on June 23rd at 12:42pm from your DJ Dan thanking Sarah for a “wonderful vendor experience” and also stating that “It was great great working with you” I also have an email on Aug 1st at 12:31pm from the photographer Kyle and Brianna, to Sarah, thanking her for the positive experience “"Hello team! We wanted to thank you for your hard work! You stated ….Rehearsal was a mess, she was 15 min late and very hostile to everyone. No one knew what was going on!!! We don’t run weddings and she couldn’t be more bothered by the fact we had to rehearse. She was rude and off putting. Response: I checked the CCTV and time clock and Sarah was late to your ceremony rehearsal by 4 min. I personally apologize for that. Running a rehearsal is hard. As it relates her being “rude and off putting”, while I was not there I find that hard to believe given the hundred and hundred of 5 star reviews Sarah has. You stated ….Then comes the flowers she was supposed to store… NONE of them put in a fridge. Just all left out to wilt. Thank god my SIL was a florist and saved the day, because Sarah was no where to be found! Response: As I explained during your site visit, you have the option to hire a florist or do your own flowers. You decided to do your own flowers. Sarah said she would “try” to find space for a the cooler but we had a 200 person wedding the day of your rehearsal and simply did not have space. I checked the pictures of your wedding and the flowers did not looked wilted ? You stated …. Wedding day arrives, Sarah, again no where to be found. I was late on my walk out, she added nothing but stress, didn’t pass out gifts and left before talking to me and asking if I needed anything. I was under the impression there would be a back up planner, but no it was wait staff who were equally as confused. Response: Again, a disingenuous statement. I personally explained during the initial site visit that wedding planner does not stay the whole night and that the event manager closes out the evening. Wedding Coordinator is there from noon until about 9pm) Our Event Manager was there the whole night. Sarah handed her over to you in person, and explained that she would be responsible for the remainder of the evening. I have this on CCTV … You stated ….I was owed a refund for the bar tab, they told my husband the amount, and now all the sudden they don’t owe a bar tab back (just some other money we overpaid). So something sketchy is going on over there. I don’t trust her, she was so rude when I CC’d her boss on an email since it’s hard to communicate with her beside one time she actually responded within 48 hrs. Again this is simply not true…. I have copies of multiple emails and communications with timely responses… many immediately … some even on days hen Sarah was off! As it relates to you being owed money, you overpaid. We actual emailed you on June 14th at 1:11pm the following "See attached here your updated invoice with this payment made! There is currently an overage of $1,300. The hosted bar tab of $1,300 was already included in the amount due! So we can just refund that with any bar difference after the Wedding!” On June 14th at 2:57pm you responded with "Perfect! Thank you so much!” We then sent the refund check to the address you gave us on June 26th. On July 9th at 1:48pm Sarah emailed you "I just heard back from our accountant that the check was returned to sender because there is “no mailbox” at the address you sent over. Can you triple check the address listed and let me know! :)” On July 9th at 1:54pm you responded “Hi Sarah, thanks so much for being on top of that and letting me know! Please resend it to this address:” This was a different address to the original so we resent it to the new address. We notified you of your mistake of overpaying. You gave the wrong address and we again notified you of that fact and then resend sent the check, which has since cleared. Not sure what else we could have done. I checked with managers that worked your event and you were never told by me or any manager that you did not use the entire bar tab. (I checked the POS and it clearly shows tab was all used) Your cutting cake was not picked up with the rest of you decor the following day as required per our contracts. Our contract, which you signed, clearly shows that anything left after 2pm the following day is either tossed or donated. Again, I responded to this particular review since it was so egregious. As soon as you raised concerns, as the owner I tried to discuss your concerns in person or at a minimum over zoom. You emailed me the following day saying you did not want to communicate and simply posted a very disingenuous review. I am sorry you chose to decline that offer and instead chose to simply vent. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations.

In my 9.5 years of experience, I was always trained to cut the sheet cake first so there is cake ready for guests immediately after cake cutting (especially with a large cake that can take longer to cut). I went back and checked my notes to make sure I did not miss a specific communication from you in this regard. I did not find anything but again my deepest apology. While I am glad the rest of the wedding went well, I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations on the cake cutting. I will definitely add this to my “Check points” for each future wedding as we strive to continue to be the very best. Best wishes to you and Michael.
