Originally we were only using the Westin for wedding room blocks. However, once the pandemic hit we ended up having the whole weekend in the Westin. Rehearsal dinner in the parlor part of the suite, mini reception in one of the meeting rooms, and sunday brunch in the parlor suite. Cassie and Tara were SO accommodating throughout this whole process! Having to make so many last minutes changes due to restrictions loosening up and certain things being allowed they worked with us every step of the way and were incredibly flexible and committed to helping us make the best of a wedding during the pandemic! We will definitely be using them next year for hotel blocks when we have our wedding celebration with all our friends and family and would definitely recommend them for any event!
We are the parents of the groom and we recently hosted a wedding at the Westin Denver Downtown. Over a year ago we met with Jessica, Catering Sales Manager. She is one of the most outstanding persons working at this hotel. She helped us every step of the way with planning this entire event. To say it was the best night of our life is an understatement. The whole event exceeded our expectations. We rented the pool area which was beautiful for the ceremony and cocktail reception. Then we moved to the Augusta Ball room for a wonderful night of dining and dancing. The room is a beautiful room with large floor to ceiling windows with wonderful views of the city. The food and service were above standard. So many guest complimented us on how great the food and service was. The Wedding packages the Westin offers are so nice. They include linens that you select yourself and a cake from Das Meyer bakery which was wonderful. We also had a block of 35 guest room and they were beautiful large rooms. I can not say enough about the special employees that really made us feel so special and took such great care of us. Gloria from Housekeeping checked with us everyday that we had everything we needed. When we did our dinner tasting Johnny was or server and he waited on us the night of the wedding and he was outstanding. Others to mention that we had interactions with are, Dana and Katie, John, Jason and Ashley.
Planning a wedding for 130 guest can be an overwhelming task. I can truly say this Westin and the staff made it easy and fun and we enjoyed the entire process.
We were lucky enough to work directly with the director of catering and event planning. He was always available to answer questions and made sure everything ran smoothly on our big day. The venue is beautiful, food is delicious and the staff is amazing!
We had our rehearsal dinner on the pool patio at the Westin, and it was a perfect location for our dinner, with a great view of the mountains and downtown. Food was great, service was excellent! All our guests stayed here for our wedding weekend and they all liked the good rate, nice rooms, and the central location. Very pleased overall!
could not believe the rate we got on these rooms for downtown Denver on Memorial Day weekend - $109/night, and the rooms were gorgeous. The block rate was available for four nights, which was great for people who made a real trip out of coming to the wedding. We worked with the staff to reserve a suite that would be used as an after hours party room. We warned them several times that it would get noisy and asked them to block it in with other guest rooms. They thanked us for letting them know so that they could take care of us and the other guests. However, my mother was accosted and threatened by a security guard the night of the wedding about noise, and she was pretty mad given that we had worked this out with the staff during the reservation process; we asked them multiple times if it would be alright to use the room as a party room, and they repeatedly said yes. There were no problems the rest of the time though. The only problem I had was getting a quick, thorough response to questions while the wedding block was open. But we were able to communicate and get any questions taken care of quickly. One weird thing was that if someone wanted to extend their reservation after making the initial reservation, the hotel actually made it a separate reservation. That did get a little confusing as to whether people had to check in again or change rooms.
Desiree and her entire team did a wonderful job with our wedding. They made everything move smoothly and seamlessly. The food was delicious, the room looked amazing, and the servers were on top of everything! Thank you all for doing a great job and making our night awesome!!
We held the rehearsal dinner and after reception party, it was perfect.
The Westin made our wedding planning experience so easy. Since we were based out of town, much of our planning was done from a distance and the Westin wedding package took care of every detail while allowing us to customize each item to our taste - the food, bar, linens, cake, cocktail hour musician, and many other things. We worked with Rachel and she had a great attention to detail. The hotel was also very accommodating to our needs and requests. We couldn't have been happier.
We used the Westin for both the ceremony and reception. The pool deck was great for the outdoor ceremony we wanted. There were of course some wedding day hiccups but nothing the guests could notice. The food and service from the staff received amazing reviews from everyone.
Wail this hotel offered us a great group rate and the hotel itself is very nice our experience was horrible. We made a room block and it was lost at least 3 times. We had to call over 20 times to get it straightened out. Once our guests arrived some had incorrect room rates, some had reservations that were canceled, and some were under other wedding parties’ reservation blocks! It was so frustrating! Our grandparents even wanted to come in one day earlier and they would not offer them the same room rate- that one night was over double what they paid the rest of the weekend. My best friend works for the Grand Hyatt- I should have trusted her when she told me that their discounted rates were not worth the headache.
We booked a few rooms here. Definitely a high-end hotel right in the heart of Denver. Rate was good. It costs to park there. Probably only down side.
Aside from the sheer size of the hotel (it's huge!) we loved the Sheraton and would highly recommend it.
The first thing I did ag=fter getting engaged was book the Westin. They are an amazing Hotel that offers super great service! The staff is just a pleasure to work with. The hotel offers an elegant setting with killer views of the city! The food was just to die for!!! All of our guest loved the location...it was shuch a great experiance.
All of my out of town guest loved being right downtown. They could hope of the 16th Street mall shuttle and see all of the city. The hotel was easy to work with and people loved having the large common areas to gather. It worked perfectly!
This hotel is beautiful and the staff were all quite nice. They let us have gift bags for each guest that they handed out as they arrived which was nice. The rooms were SPECTACULAR!!!
There is really not one negative thing I can say about my experience with having our reception at The Westin. Everything went exactly as it was supposed to and our wedding coordinator at the Westin Deseri did a wonderful job making sure that every detail was attended to. She was available and focused on getting us exactly what we wanted from day one all the way through to the last hour of our reception. We had amazing accomodations to get ready in a seperate room provided by them and they really did a lot to make sure we recieved the best experience possible. I have always loved The Westin due to their modern and clean decor and heaven beds which is why we initially chose to check them out for our reception. Once I met with Deseri and learned about their reception packages we knew it was everything we wanted. The food was amazing and the staff was wonderful. We also had our rehearsal dinner there the night before and couldn't have been happier. I would recommend The Westin Tabor Center to any couple getting married. The city lights and scenery at night also made for wonderful pictures!
I loved the windows in the ballroom, it didn't feel stuffy like other hotel ballrooms. We loved that it was a hotel and people would not have to drive home, they could just have a good time and not worry about it. I loved the tasting they provided and the food was wonderful. Also loved the upgrade to the suite as a surprise from our wedding contact person at our reception! The suite had fantastic views of Denver, a jacuzzi tub and was HUGE! It was also a very nice touch that waiting for us was a congratulations card from our contact person along with two slices of our wedding cake, champagne on ice, and a bowl of fresh strawberries. A very nice touch!;Some of the guest tables at the reception were slanted/lopsided! So much so that my mom saw tomatoes rolling right off the salads at one table. When she pointed this out to the staff she was told that the tables are just that way! If you are planning your reception there ask to see the tables ahead of time! It was a major stress factor for my mom and hence, for me! You pay a lot of money to have your reception in a nice hotel downtown, they should at least have flat tables!
