When I arrived at the hotel, I was truly blown away at how beautiful the lobby was. The staff at the front desk were so friendly and excited for us. When I arrived the Thursday before my wedding, the doorman was right outside, unloaded my car and brought everything up for us quickly. They also accommodated early check-in if people called since they had to be at the venue early for family photos. The bar stayed open until 1am the night of my wedding as well for us to party afterwards! When I got back to my room after the wedding, there was champagne, champagne glasses to take home and chocolate covered strawberries from the hotel. My experience was over the top and I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Though they had multiple weddings booked during the same weekend, they were extremely organized in making sure all our guests received welcome bags, and the rooms were spacious and clean. My bridesmaids and I got ready in one of the presidential suites the morning of the wedding, and the staff were extremely prompt and helpful when we called down to ask for a few last minute items (i.e., high top chairs for the makeup artists, etc). The Westin Governor Morris also offered complimentary shuttles to and from our venue, and their communication during the planning process in sorting out these shuttles was efficient and put my mind at ease. The shuttles were prompt and well-timed for our guests going both to and from our reception. We also worked with them to book a morning-after breakfast for our guests, which was easy to coordinate and was well-stocked and delicious. We would highly recommend booking with them for any hotel blocks and other related wedding events!

y. The hotel was an extremely convenient Uber ride in the morning over to the wedding venue to get ready in their bridal suite and a short shuttle ride home after our reception. The bar manager even kept the hotel bar open half an hour longer for us to be able to change out of our formal wear into something more comfortable. They offered my husband and I a complimentary drink of our choice and congratulated us with such warmth! We stayed one of the complimentary couple suites and they were able to accommodate an early check-in since we needed to be at The Park Savoy early and a later check-out around noon. The bar has excellent drinks and food! The hotel staff were very kind and understanding. I worked with Christina Rodriguez and Jamie Morella, who answered and responded to all of my questions within a timely manner and helped me satisfy several family requests such as allowing my elderly grandparents to check-in a bit early and giving them a handicap room on the first floor. The team at the Westin went above and beyond to ensure our weekend was seamless, from organizing transportation for us leaving a sweet treat in our room on our wedding night, no detail went unnoticed. We would HIGHLY recommend using the Westin Governor Morris as your hotel of choice for any event.

We had a casual after party in the lounge area, and it all worked out great! I didn't eat at the restaurant, but the guests who did thoroughly enjoyed it. We also paid for a farewell breakfast for ~80 guests the morning after our wedding, and it worked out really well! The only thing that was a bit stressful was having to sign a contract that we were responsible for filling a certain number of rooms (in order to ensure we had enough rooms reserved for our guests) since we didn't know exactly how many we needed. But it ended up all working out since the hotel sold out that weekend anyways (and could resell the rooms we didn't need). Just be very clear on what you are signing and make sure you understand the fine print.

We dropped off our welcome bags the week of the wedding and the staff handed them out to everyone at check in. We had a complimentary shuttle that took our guests to and from the venue which was great. The rehearsal dinner was fantastic. The food and service were great. For the after party, we rented out a room at The Westin and had food and an open bar. Everyone loved it and it was such a fun way to keep the party going! Our farewell breakfast was in our own private room with a variety of breakfast foods. Our entire experience at The Westin was fantastic from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful and every event went perfectly! Our guests were very impressed with the entire experience! Highly recommend!!

check-in, it seemed everyone's rooms were ready when they arrived no matter if it was before or after check-in time. When one guest had an issue with their a/c, they were able to switch rooms immediately. Last, but not least, brunch was exactly what we were looking for. It wasn't anything over the top but it was good and easy to get to. Every aspect checked all of our boxes and Christina made the whole thing very easy!

Amenities, pricing, and service were all superior compared to the other hotels we met with. From finalizing event details, from dropping off our gift bags for our guests for check-in, to our farewell breakfast the morning after our wedding night - everyone and everything was 5 stars. Christina and team answered every single annoying email I had about timing, pricing, guest list, etc. so promptly and I never felt I was a bother. Something that was so helpful during the chaos of wedding planning was that they took care of our guest transportation when we met a certain number of rooms booked. That alone is worth it! No stress dealing with another vendor - the Westin handled it all. They were even able to secure us a handicap accessible bus at no extra cost. We dropped off 90 gift bags to the front desk the week of the wedding and reception staff was so helpful and kind, not acting as if it was another task for them. They were excited for us and helped us carry them all in! I met some friends in the lobby when they checked in and every front desk staff member was so so nice. We have done the wedding circuit with our own group of friends the last year and we haven't stayed at a nicer hotel so far. We received so many compliments from guests about the beauty of the hotel, the size and cleanliness of the rooms, and the Blue Morel restaurant and bar. We had 100+ guests at the Blue Morel bar late night and the bartenders were so nice and patient with our large group. Our room on our wedding night also had surprise chocolate covered strawberries and champagne with wine glasses for us - thank you Christina! So many little things that added onto the amazing experience here. At our farewell breakfast, the staff was so attentive, food was warm and trays full to the brim. The manager kept checking on us to make sure everything was ok. It was a perfect weekend and we are so so thrilled with the service we received! Look no further I promise! This Westin is a step above the rest.

great! Both my husband and I got ready in our suites; the hotel staff was great with providing us with extra tables and stools for the makeup artists and hair stylists. Christina was amazing to work with. She accommodated our every need, including our extensive room block and guests. We utilized the Blue Morel bar for our after party, which also proved to be a success. We highly recommend using the Westin as your hotel!

David was very responsive and made sure to make it all happen. They accommodated special food requests of baby lamb chop appetizers, added Jameson and Ginger ale to the bar (the bride’s favorite drink), and had our favorite holiday food - maple glazed ham! We had a seafood bar the guests loved and a Mac and Cheese bar with toppings that were served in martini glasses to make it easy to eat while socializing! The ballroom had Christmas trees, hot cocoa and cigar favors on the tables with greenery and candles, silver chivari chairs with all white table cloths/napkins that kept the room feeling light, romantic, and magical. David was communicative and extremely easy to work with. He took our vision and made it happen along with adding in details I never even thought of like a gingerbread house with our names on it! Christina with the hotel made sure our room block never ran low and answered all the questions we had on our reservations and how the day would go! I would recommend working with the Westin Governor Morris a thousand times over!

ied in our hometown church in Bernardsville and had reception at the Mansion at Natirar, the majority of our hotel guests (131) traveled from all over New England, North Carolina, Ilinois, Florida, California and even Norway. We knew having a great place for them all to stay was incredibly important and one of the first things we booked when she got engaged. Our wedding planners, Peony Events, highly recommended the Westin Governor Morris and they were so right! Our meetings with Christina were so reassuring and we knew we were in good hands. We booked Welcome Drinks at the Blue Morel Restaurant, planned a Farewell Breakfast and reserved the Presidential Suite and a large room block including rooms for our family. Christina kept us updated on reservations and helped us increase the block since so many guests were booking early. Christina also took care of reserving 3 motor coaches to take our hotel guests to and from the reception, which was included in the room block- such a wonderful perk of staying at the Westin. Everything went fantastic the weekend of the wedding from the drop off of 80 Welcome Bags (thanks Narissa!), the Welcome Drinks - over 100 guests attending (thanks Kevin!), smooth transportation to and from the Mansion at Natirar (thanks A-1 Limo) and a fabulous breakfast on Sunday to end the wedding weekend celebration! The service was outstanding all around! Many thanks to Christina and the staff of the Westin! We would highly recommend the Westin Governor Morris.

Westin in newly renovated and looks gorgeous! It is sleek and the chandeliers when you walk in are breathtaking! I was able to drop off my guest hotel bags any day the week of my wedding which was super easy and accommodating! The Westin provided shuttle services to/from my venue and there was no complaints. We also had a breakfast the day after my wedding which was delicious! This hotel really welcomes their guests with warmth and respect. Would recommend to anyone!!

Highly recommend staying in the presidential suite if you are the bride and groom! It was the perfect size for our large bridal party to get hair and makeup done the day of.

Manager Christina Rodriguez was proactive, organized, and easy to worth with. The hotel's restaurant (Blue Morel) has plenty of seating plus a wraparound bar, making it a perfect location for an after-party. Best of all, the Westin's prices are quite reasonable. I would definitely recommend the Westin Governor Morris for your next event!

The junior suite was spacious enough for seven bridesmaids and the moms to get ready, and it was conveniently located to our venue (Basking Ridge Country Club). We highly recommend this hotel!

s. When I decided to postpone from 2020 to 2021, they made it relatively easy and painless and moved all of my blocked rooms for my guests. During 2020, things took a turn and it was hard to get a reply back from the event/sales staff. I spoke to at least 4 people throughout the process but I was being pretty laid back about the entire thing for a while until the month before the wedding. I decided to check in that I had a confirmation # for my own suite on the night before my wedding - the one in which we'd all be getting ready in the morning. Nope - the staff hadn't moved MY reservation at all and I didn't have a suite in my name. It took me calling 3x, emailing, and leaving a voicemail to get a response from the sales manager - who didn't apologize for this huge oversight on their part - just for the confusion? On the Monday before my wedding weekend, they send an email out to remind guests of their reservation with a 4pm check in time! I immediately get texts from my bridal party confused since we were doing rehearsals at 5 and we thought check in was 3. I had to reach out to sales where I was told they would honor 3pm check in for my party since things had changed since my contract. However, they didn't bother to let my guests know that so we had to scramble to let everyone know they can check in at 3pm. On Saturday at check-in, everyone's room was ready besides mine. Fine - I can be patient. But as I overheard guests from other weddings trying to check in.. the hotel had done the same to them. The front desk clerk very coldly stated that check in was 4 when the MOTHER OF THE BRIDE said I need to get into my room so I can get ready before the shuttle leaves at 4 for the wedding! What kind of hotel has a 4pm check in? Besides that - paying $15/day for WiFi? In 2021? Parking was also not free according to the fine print but I think the staff was too overwhelmed to deal with that or me and my guests will be billed later for that? It is a beautiful hotel but it's too bad that the sales and customer service leaves much to be desired. When one of my bridesmaids left something on the shuttle, it took us haunting the front desk staff for over an hour to get us a number for the shuttle company. This hotel was the biggest regret of my wedding weekend! Brides beware.
